Chapter 18: Hostage: Maggie and OA

"So, what are you going to do this weekend?" OA asked his partner as they're exiting the 26Fed building.

"Well, my brother and his family are in town so I'm most likely going to be a babysitter," Maggie said with a grin. "You should come."

"Are you sure? I don't want to in-"

"Sure, it'll be fun."

The next day, OA showed up mid-morning and brought freshly-baked pastries which he knew the kids and adults will love. After hanging out with Maggie's brother, he was somehow roped into the kids' role play. Literally. Luckily, Maggie came out of the kitchen and rushed when she saw a tied OA, surrounded by her twin nephews and their younger sister.

"What are you doing?" she carefully asked.

One of the twins answered, "We're robbing Uncle OA since he's rich."

Maggie smirked at that. Even in casual clothes, OA still seemed to exude luxury.

"Then, she's going to try and save him," the other twin pointed to their sister.

With brown hair in a ponytail and a determined look on her face, her niece looked like a younger Maggie. "This is Agent Bell, let him go!" The little girl clearly idolized her aunt.

OA smiled when he saw Maggie blushed.

"No!" shouted one of the twins. "Not until we get our money and a jet!"

The little girl responded, "But what you're doing is wro-"

"Kids, lunch is ready!" their mom called.

"But mom, I still need to save Uncle OA because I don't want Aunt Maggie to cry," the little girl protested.

"There's ice cream after."

"Okay we let him go," said the twins and the kids ran to the dining area, leaving a bewildered OA.

"Ah, if only negotiations would go that well then our jobs will be easier," Maggie said while untying OA.

OA grinned, "Yeah, imagine suspects giving up after a promise of ice cream." Looking at his partner, he couldn't help but tease her. "Is it true what they said?"

Maggie furrowed her brow. "What do you mean?"

"That you'd cry if something happens to me."

She laughed, "You must be hungry because you're starting to hear things." She turned to go where the kids went with a laughing OA following her.
