Jack Bauer arrives at Laura Walker's house and knocks on the door. She wakes up and answers the door, not in the best of moods. Laura steps outside rather than let Jack in.
.
Laura: Who are you and what do you want?
Jack: My name is Jack Bauer...
Laura: I've heard of you. When I was in the army a lot of people thought you should have been executed.
Jack: I can't blame them, but I need your help. It's about your father. Do you happen to know where he is?
Laura: Just out of curiosity, do you want to hurt him, or work with him?
Jack: Would it matter?
Laura: No, I don't know where he is. If you want to kill him, I would love to help you, but it doesn't change the fact that I don't know where he is. He tried to get me to betray this country, when I got pregnant I was offered a medical discharge, my father tried to pressure me to have an abortion. And I have no doubt that he murdered my brother, rather than face the consequences of his actions. I would love to help you find him, but the fact is I don't know where the bastard is.
Jack: Unfortunately, I believe you. But maybe you could tell me something that might help.
Laura: I'm not sure, but okay you can come in. Just try not to make much noise, I don;t want to wake my baby.

At CTU George Mason asks Jamey Farrell for an update.
.
Mason: Any word on the usual chat rooms?
Jamey: A fair amount of people seem to feel that Putin got what he deserved.
Mason: A lot of people hated him, but what about the usual suspects, such as Ukranian seperatists?
Jamey: Again, a lot of joy over Putin's possible death, but noone's taken responsibility. And there's been no changing of patterns leading up to this. No relocating of family members to safety, no changes to their finances like paying off known mercenaries.
Mason: Try and focus more on their money trails, see if we can connect any of them to this bombing.
Jamey: I'll start immediately.

President Allen is informed that acting president Suvarov wishes to speak with her. Because Suvarov speaks english they do not need a translator.
.
Suvarov: Thank you for speaking with me madam president.
Allen: Ofcourse. I want you to know that your people have our sympathy, and our prayers.
Suvarov: That is appreciated. Less than two hours ago president Putin expressed similar sympathy to you. I understand that some in your country suspected our involvement.
Allen: Some do. But I assured president Putin that we would not retaliate until we have concrete evidence of what nation, if any, was involved.
Suvarov: I assure you that my government will show similar restraint.
Allen: It is possible that the people who tried to assasinate me also assasinated your president. We might actually have a common enemy.
Suvarov: Perhaps. We don't yet know who planted the bomb. Do you know who attacked the White House?
Allen: A group of neo nazis and a traitor named Tyler. How did Putin know it was neo nazis?
Suvarov: I am not certain, he was perhaps making an educated guess.
Allen: I supposse they were the obvious suspect. If we are going to work together I should tell you, we believe that Tyler was working with a man named Ira Gaines. Do you know the name?
Suvarov: Not off the top of my head, I will consult with my security agencies. Thank you for trusting me with this. I hope we can work together. Russia will show restraint until evidence is uncovered. When evidence is uncovered, we will retaliate appropriately.
Allen: As shall America.
.
President Allen knew it was a risk, telling Suvarov about Gaines' alleged involvement, but if Suvarov was involved he already knew about Gaines. If he wasn't, than this could be a start in having America and Russia work together.
