Here we go the next chapter where we enter the Brain Tumbler also yes I am skipping the Astral Plane bit as it is just introducing the level select area which won't be needed

Brain Tumbler Experiment

Nigel makes it to the bottom and finds himself on a staircase going down into a large room, he hears someone working at the bottom and peers down to see Wiz working on a console and in the room was a large purple cylinder machine.

Nigel makes his way down but there were files, books and reports everywhere, he had to knock some off the stairs to get past. Hearing that Wiz said "Is that the claining lady? I'll get those files out of your way, just as soon as I'm done with these….tests…."

"No it's me Wiz, Nigel Uno Skywalker. So what are we going to learn Bending spoons? Burning stuff?" Nigel said reaching the bottom excited as he approaches the Psychonaut scientist "In fact I've bene hearing a lot about head explosion, and I was wondering…"

"Science Nigel." Wiz said simply "That is what we practice down here. Not parlor tricks." He turns to face the boy "If you are serious about exploring the possibilities of your mind, step up to the Brain Tumbler and we'll begin." He indicates to the purple cylinder machine.

"Brain Tumbler?" Nigel asked confused as it lowers down for him to step in front of. "Um…have you tested this out on humans yet?"

"Step up to the Brain Tumbler when you're ready." Wiz said simply as he works on the console.

Nigel goes up to it and looks at it before asking "So…does this this hair dryer thing do?"

"Ah, you're ready for the Brain Tumbler." Wiz said smiling turning around "With this device we will send you deep into your own psyche, where you should find unparalleled insight and power." He works on the console

"Brilliant. Tumble away." Nigel said smiling as he steps up to the Brain Tumbler facing away from it and sorts his sunglasses.

Wiz turns on the device and as it works he instructs "Now, just relax. This will not hurt, unless something really very bad happens."

Nigel felt the machine figuratively burrow into his mind as he felt himself going into his own mental world.

When Nigel's vision returns he sees the world as very smokey as he groans a bit.

"Nigel, can you hear me?" Wiz's voice is heard as he speaks to him through the Brain Tumbler's link.

"Wiz, where am I?" Nigel asked as he walks through the smoke finding himself in a dark void with barely anything else there.

"You are inside your own mind, but I'm not sure where." Wiz said thinking "Tell me. What can you see?"

Nigel looks around and then sees behind him something he didn't want to see and said, "I see a run-down gypsy caravan."

"Do you recognize it?" Wiz asked.

"Yes. It was where I was born." Nigel said sighing and looking away from it. Seeing it brings back some bad memories for him with his family.

"I see…Compelling." Wiz notes nodding.

Nigel hears static coming from the caravan but before going in, he sees a mental vault running around. He goes and punshes it and finds it's real known as Nigel's Getaway. In it shows Nigel's life in the circus with his father Luke Skywalker, mother, older brother and sister, younger brother and sister and his grandmother who more so looked after him then partake in the families acrobatics.

One day after a performance a mysterious individual came up to Nigel and handed him the pamphlet for Whispering rock. Nigel amazed by it slacked off on his training to read it until Luke took it from him and ripped it up. That night Nigel snuck out and took his older sister's pony Rainbow and escaped from his home and soon arrives at Whispering Rock.

Nigel sighs, he could barely understand the family's hatred towards psychics, especially when not just him but his older sister and younger brother also had psychic abilities course they were content on not pursuing this like he would, but he was going to show them they didn't need to fear who they were.

He then goes into the entrance to the Caravan and could see static inside it. Nigel then said "Wiz, I'm going inside the caravan."

"What do you see inside?" Wiz asked

"I'm not sure, it's getting fuzzy." Nigel reports as he enters and looks around then then uses his psychic punch and feels he's hitting a wall and sees cracks forming "Ah-ha!"

He whacks it some more and found he was inside a giant egg in the middle of a dark foreboding woods. He then sits up and sorts his sunglasses.

"Nigel, are you okay? What do you see now?" Wiz asked him.

Nigel looks around then finds staring right at him a small brown and yellow rabbit looking creature that has a red bow on one ear "I see a small, rabbit-like creature thing. A Buneary I think."

"Hmmm. An unfamiliar animal entity in a dream often represents a primal fear or memory." Wiz said thinking on this "Follow it, and it should lead you somewhere important."

"Understood." Nigel said nodding and looks at the Buneary somehow he knew it's name "Okay, Miss. Buneary. You and I are going to be tight. Wherever you go, I go. Like…two peas in a…hey!" He sees Miss Buneary running off "Come back here!"

Nigel goes to follow Miss Buneary though the dark torney woods, he also noticed a lot of meat plants which was odd, why would he dream that up? He quickly forgot about that as he found himself with a shadowy entity with a face.

"Uh….Wiz?" Nigel said concerned.

"What is it? Another Buneary?" Wiz asked.

"No, this time it appears to be some kind of super scary, flaming-eyed demon kind of deal." Nigel said as he stares at the creature who stares back while inching closer and he walks back.

"Oh. Hmmm." Wiz said and thinks.

"What is it?" Nigel asked.

Okay. I'm pulling you out of there. Just give me a second." Wiz said.

"Uh, Wiz?" Nigel said concerned as the entity was getting real close now.

"Hold on. I'm still getting some unusual interference." Wiz told him "It's fascinating, as if someone else were…"

"Agent Wiz!" Nigel said to snap him out of that thought as the creature looked ready to attack.

"Sorry. Almost ready…" Wiz said.

"WIZ!" Nigel said as he phases out just in time but saw the creature spit out an old diving helmet at him before he was extracted.

Nigel is ejected out of the Brain Tumbler as he held his head, that was a rush and the emergency eject didn't help make it smooth.

"Hmm. That should not have happened. We need to try again." Wiz said turning to Nigel thinking.

"Oh, I don't think I need to be in the Tumbler with the glowy eye guys anymore." Nigel said walking to Wiz, whatever that thing was, it terrified him.

"Fine, suit yourself." Wiz said shrugging as he calibrates the machine "You know, in many tribal societies, learning to defeat the monsters you see in your dreams is considered a rite of passage." Nigel begins to leave but Wiz turns to him and said "I can train you to fight. Come see me when you're ready."

Nigel stopped when he heard that, battle training that could already add on to his abilities and make becoming a Psychonaut easier, but he will have to face that thing again but if he does this, he would be ready for it.

Nigel turns around and goes to Wiz and said "Okay. I'm ready to learn how to really fight!"

"Oh, really? Hm." Wiz said surprised at that.

"What?" Nigel asked confused.

"Oh, nothing." Wiz said and explained "It's just that I didn't think you'd really take me up on that offer. It usually scares the kids off."

"Well, not me. I'm ready to kill to protect my camp!" Nigel said firmly.

"Listen, I'm sorry, but I can't train you. Agent Felicia would kill me." Wiz said shaking his head.

"What's the big deal? What she doesn't know won't hurt her." Nigel said shrugging.

"You don't even have a Marksmanship Learner's permit. I could lose my job!" Wiz told him.

"I'll just go and get one!" Nigel said nodding.

"Even if you use that secret passage over there and snuck into their sanctuary…" Wiz said pointing to a corner where a tree stump was, how did Nigel fail to notice that? It was obviously out of place "Agent Whispers would never give you a Markmanship Learner's permit."

Upon hearing that name Nigel's eyes widen as he said "Agent Whsipers…." He was in awe for good reason Agent Raine Whispers wasn't only one of the greatest Psychonauts to exist, they were one of the very founders of the organization the Psychic 6. They were also Nigel's hero.

"Never in a million…" Wiz began to say.

"I'm off!" Nigel said as he walks to the stump "Be right back after I talk with Agent Whispers!"

Nigel goes to the stump and jumps down into it and land on a seat of a mine craft with an onboard AI like machine

"Welcome to the Whispering Rocket Underground Rapid Transit System." The AI said to Nigel in a somewhat seductive like voice "Would you like to go back to your private sanctuary now, Agent Whispers? Or…somewhere else?"

Nigel put off by the voice shakes his head and said "Let's go to Raine's…I mean, MY sanctuary."

"Yes, noble Pyshomaster." The AI said and the cart goes off.

Nigel was excited he was going to meet his personal hero and he can't wait to ask so many questions to them but more importantly he hopes to earn from them the Leaner's Permit for Wiz's training.

Well Nigel is going to meet his hero and hopefully get his Markmanship's Learners Permit to learn how to fight.
