AN: Thank you for your continued support, I wasn't sure about this story; but it's comforting to know, that you all seem to like it, so just to recap this is an au, the curse that sent them all to Storybrooke never happened; but I will incorporate dialogue from different Captain Swan scenes into the story, if and when it calls for it. This chapter will take place on Emma's second day, onboard the Jolly Roger. Read and review please, as it would be greatly appreciated; MysteryFan1997.

Ch6 - The Not So Jolly Prisoner
I've been on this ship, for two days; and I still don't know, if my parents have been asked for ransom. Hook, isn't telling me anything; I mean between being escorted from the brig, to his cabin, having supper and then being sent back to the brig again, I haven't really had much time to ask.
I hope, he's keeping his end of the bargain; I only agreed to be his prisoner, if he asked my parents for ransom after two days. I heard the door open, before hearing a gruff voice; but it wasn't one that I recognised, so I spoke.
"Who are, you?"
The voice answered.
"The name's Smith...The Captain sent me down here, to check on you"
I sighed, before speaking.
"Well, you can tell him I'm fine"
Smith, spoke.
"He'll be glad to hear that, considering; he hasn't asked for your ransom yet"
I felt rage, bubble through me; as I spoke.
"What, do you mean; he hasn't asked for my ransom yet?"
Smith, chuckled; before answering.
"Now Princess, there's no need; to be angry, Captain Hook, has his reasons"
I huffed, before speaking again.
"Would, you care; to tell me those, reasons?"
Smith, spoke.
"You see, I can't your highness; the Captain's reasons are his and his alone. We just follow his orders"
I sighed, before thanking him; he chuckled, before speaking again.
"You shouldn't be, thanking me Princess; I'm just delivering the message"
I nodded, as he turned to leave; when he was gone, I was left in darkness, I sat on the small cot, my breath catching in my chest; as I thought about my parents, they don't know that I'm on this ship, because Hook hasn't asked for the ransom.
Who, does Hook; think he is? Does he really expect, to get away with this? I sighed, because in a way; he has, and there's nothing I can do about it. I thought about what Smith, had said; he was just delivering the message, what I couldn't understand was, why him and not Smee?
Unless, he wasn't supposed to be down here; maybe he slipped down here, unnoticed...why didn't anyone stop him? Where was Smee, and why wasn't he here? I shook my head, as I tried to forget what I had just been told; as there's something, I haven't told the Captain.
I can sense, when someone is lying; it's not completely reliable, but it has come in handy from time to time. I guess, I can always ask the Captain; when he requests that I join him for supper tonight, or should I deny his request?
I suppose it wouldn't hurt, to reject his request tonight; and if he happens to ask why, I'll just I'm not hungry, I mean it's not like he can force me to join him. I lay down on the cot, shifting slightly; as I tried to get comfortable.
I sighed, as I tossed and turned; the mattress, digging into my back, I heard the door open again. This time, it was Smee; he spoke.
"Princess, the Captain requests you join him in his cabin"
I sighed, before speaking.
"I'm sorry Smee, you can tell the Captain; I'm fine, where I am. I'm not feeling well, and I wouldn't be good company"
Smee, sighed; before speaking again.
"He's not going to like that, Princess; however I will tell him, I'm sorry if I disturbed you"
I, spoke.
"No you didn't, but thank you for passing my message along to the Captain"
He left, muttering under his breath; as he did, the door closed again and I was left in the darkness once again. I silently hoped, that the consequences of my not joining him; wouldn't be horrible.
I couldn't possibly, sit with him; now, that I know the truth. I lay down again, settling into the mattress; before taking a breath, I had said no...I rejected his request, I sighed as I closed my eyes.
I don't know, how long I was out; as I woke up to the door opening. I sat up, rubbing my eyes as I did; I heard Smee, as he spoke.
"Your highness, the Captain wishes to see you"
I sighed, before answering.
"I'm sorry, but as I stated earlier; I'm not feeling well, and I wouldn't be good company for the Captain this evening"
Smee, sighed; before speaking again.
"I understand, Princess; and I know, you wish to remain here. However, the Captain made it clear, that you need to accompany me; to his cabin"
I got up, adjusting my clothing; as did, I moved toward the door. I spoke.
"Smee, can I ask you something?"
He nodded, as I continued.
"Earlier, before you came to tell me that the Captain requested for me to join him; Smith came to the brig, and he...well, he; told me, the Captain still hasn't asked my parents for ransom...is this true?"
He looked at me, while not saying anything; he stayed silent, until we got to Hook's cabin. Once there, Smee walked inside; before allowing me to step inside.
Hook, dismissed Smee; before turning, to face me. He spoke, I could hear the frustration in his tone; as he did.
"Ah, so the Princess; has decided to grace, me with her presence"
I, spoke.
"Yes. Now, how may I; help you Captain?"
He smirked, before speaking.
"That's more, like it; lass" I sighed, internally; I'm going to ask him to say my name, if it's the last thing I do. He continued. "Now, you might not be aware; I have yet to ask you parents for ransom... But I assure you, I have a very good reason; it's a selfish one, but good all the same...I want, to; stay onboard"
My eyes widened, as I spoke.
"So Smith was telling the truth...you didn't ask my parents for ransom, he wouldn't tell me why; but as you said, Captain it is a selfish reason...You said, you would ask my parents for ransom, and now you've decided not to; because you want me to, remain onboard? So not only, did you lie; you've also taken my freedom...well what was left of it anyway, so thank you Captain...Now if you don't mind, I would like to be taken back to the brig"
He looked at me, his expression faltered slightly; before he quirked an eyebrow, I quickly added.
"If that's alright, with you of course"
He nodded, before walking to the door; he shouted for Smee, who appeared within seconds. Smee, looked at the Captain, before looking at me; Hook, spoke.
"Take the Princess, back to the brig"
Smee, nodded; before doing as Hook, asked. He walked me back to the brig, we walked in silence; he opened the door, while gesturing to me. I stepped inside, the door closing behind me; I sat down, my gaze focused on the ground.
I heard the door, close; I kept my gaze on the ground, as a tear escaped my eye. I should have known, he'd go back on his word; was it possible, he never intended to ask for the ransom?
Did he, assume that I would be happy to stay onboard; and service him, the way a bar wench would? I sighed, as thought about my parents; they're probably wondering where I am.
I wouldn't be surprised, if they haven't arranged a search party; why didn't I leave a note? I suppose, if I had; they probably would have stopped me, but at least they would have known where I was going and who I was with.
But now, I'm questioning; who I'm with, am I with the Gentleman or the Pirate? Or is he a scoundrel? I'm not sure, that I want to find out; but one things for sure, I'm not going to spend anymore time with him, requested or not...
