Chapter 6-Polis

Three months later

Clarke's P.O.V

Clarke sat with her feet in the water, drawing a waterfall. "Clarke, I am coming out of the woods. Down throw your knife at me," Raven says.

"That happened once," Clarke says as she stands up and puts her boots on. "Let it go."

"No, never. You almost took my ear off," Raven says. "Come on, Lexa wants to see us."

"It's been three months. Maybe we're leaving," Clarke says as she follows her, and Raven nods. "How are things with you and Octavia? I've noticed you've been on the couch."

"It's been like that for a month and a half. Now you're asking," Raven says.

"Didn't want to intrude," Clarke says.

"I don't know what's going on. Neither of us knows what we want, and for now, we've just decided to focus on training," Raven tells Clarke, who slowly nods, knowing that Raven doesn't want to talk about it anymore. They get to the village and walk into Indra's house, where Jake, Octavia, Lexa, Anya, Gustus, Indra, Lincoln, and Nyko stand in the cabin.

"We're all here," Octavia says.

"Good, you have all done well in your training these last few months," Lexa says.

"You guys haven't been the best teachers. You broke my nose in week two, Lexa," Clarke says, and Lexa chuckles. "It wasn't funny."

"It was," Raven says. "You think you had it bad. Anya broke my hand before the first month was over and made me train with my left hand."

"It was a good lesson," Anya says.

"Anything you would like to say, Octavia?" Lexa asks Octavia, who looks at Indra, who is staring at her.

"Nope," Octavia says with a smile. Indra nods.

"Anyways, you have all done well. We are all confident that you are ready to go to Polis."

"Yes!" Clarke says. "Fuck this village," Indra looks at Clarke. "Sorry, been here three months."

"The leaders are gathering in Polis for trade," Anya says.

"You will speak with them and try to form alliances with them. That is up to you three," Lexa says as she looks at the three girls.

"Are you sure about this, Commander? Leaving Skaikru's fate in the hands of these three?" Lincoln says.

"We'll do fine," Clarke says. "What will my Dad be doing?"

"Jake and I have been talking about the prisoners and the rest of your people. You can't all stay in a cabin, so after speaking with Lexa. We will be looking at locations to build Skaikru's village, and as you get more alliances and join the Coalition, we'll be able to get you territory when you become a clan," Indra tells them, and they nod. "We leave in an hour."

Murphy's P.O.V

Murphy sat down at his table and looked at Wells, Jasper, Monty, and two others. Harper Mclntyre and Nathan Miller. Jasper and Monty had brought Harper and Miller to their table a week after they met them. "You know, Murphy, you have joined the higher-ups of the Ark," Miller says with a smirk. "Your best friend is the Chancellor's son, and you're friends with one of the Ark's highest-ranking guards."

"I know. I've lost all of my cool friends from before I met him," Murphy says as he looks at Wells.

"I like to think we are cool," Monty says.

"You two are okay," Murphy says with a smirk. He looks at Harper, who is looking at another table. Murphy follows her eyesight and sees her looking at a little girl. "What's up, Harper?"

"Every day, that little girl is sitting by herself," Harper says.

Murphy stands up and walks over to the table as the others watch him. "Hey, kid," Murphy says, making the girl look at him. "I'm John Murphy. What's your name?" Murphy asks as he sits down.

"Charlotte," Charlotte says.

"Cool name. Why are you sitting alone? You seem pretty cool," Murphy says.

"My parents work, and I don't have any friends," Charlotte tells him softly.

"Come on. You can sit with my friends and me. They're cool," Murphy says. "Come on."

"Alright," Charlotte says as she follows Murphy to the table and sits down between him and Wells.

"This is Charlotte. This is Wells, Miller, Harper, Monty, and Jasper," Murphy says.

"Hi, Charlotte," Wells says. "Welcome to our little group. We have all roles. I am the responsible one. Monty and Jasper are the funny ones. Miller is the irresponsible one, and Harper is the smart and pretty one."

"What is Murphy?" Jasper asks.

"I'm the leader of the group of misfits."

"He's the dumb one," Harper says.

"That's mean," Murphy says as Kane motions him over. "Wells, we gotta go," Murphy says, and Wells looks at Kane. "We'll see you guys later, Charlotte. Welcome, and you can sit with us whenever," Murphy says as he walks leaves with Wells. The others watch them as they follow Kane.

Kane leads them to their apartment, where Aurora, Bellamy, and Abby are waiting. "What's up?" Murphy asks.

"Jasper and Monty," Kane says.

"What about them?" Wells asks.

"They're stealing herbs," Bellamy says.

"How do you know that?" Murphy asks.

"I saw them coming out of their last night. It's part of my training. Patrol the Ark. Luckily, my partner had ditched me for his girlfriend. I replaced what they took, but you need to talk with them," Bellamy tells him.

"It's time to bring them into the fold, as well as Miller and Harper," Kane tells him. "Who was the girl?"

"Charlotte, we'll make sure we can trust her," Wells says. "We'll talk to them."

"Good," Kane says. "I'm going to talk with Jaha later. Convince him to let me join the prisoners."

Lexa's P.O.V

Lexa rode at the front of the group. Clarke rode up beside her. "Yu Kei?" Clarke asks.

"I'm fine, Clarke," Lexa says. "You're learning our language quite well."

"Thanks to you and Nyko," Clarke says. "What's on your mind?"

"A lot is riding on the next couple of days," Lexa tells her.

"It's going to work out," Clarke says. "What advice would you give us?"

"When we get there, I will talk to the clan leaders. Tomorrow, you will start speaking with them. I am confident that you will be able to make alliances with Floukru, Podakru, and Ingranronakru. The rest I am unsure of," Lexa says.

"You should stay clear of Azgeda," Anya says.

"You don't think we should try and make an alliance with them?" Octavia asks.

"You may be able to, but they'll be using you for their own gain. Nia, the queen of Azgeda, she hates me and wants my Coalition to fail. Don't trust her, and be careful around her," Lexa tells them, and they nod.

Kane's P.O.V

Kane walked up to Jaha's door and knocked on the door. The door opened, and Jaha looked at him. "Marcus, how can I help?"

"I would like to talk to you about the prisoners," Kane nods as Jaha lets him inside.

"What about the prisoners do you want to talk about?" Jaha asks.

"I would like to go to the ground with them," Kane says.

"No," Jaha says as he turns around. "I need you here, Kane."

"Sir, we are about to send dozens of teenagers to the ground. The wristbands that Abby is working on will tell us their vitals, and the communication system may stay intact. But if it doesn't, and all we have are those wristbands, we don't know what will be happening. They might take them off cause we tell them not to. If I am down there, I can get them under control, keep them from making mistakes, and keep them controlled. If it is survival down there, I will make sure you know," Kane says. "I am of no use up here. David Miller can fill my role until you get to the ground. Please, sir, you said you trust me, trust me with the life of these children, with the lives of all of us."

Jaha stays silent for a moment before he nods. "Alright, Marcus, you can go to the ground as long as you promise me one thing."

"Of course, sir," Kane says.

"You will take a gun with you, and if you find Jake, Clarke, Raven, and that girl, you will eliminate them, or you will arrest them until they can face justice," Jaha says.

"Of course, sir," Kane says.

Clarke's P.O.V

Clarke, Jake, Octavia, and Raven look at Polis in amazement as they move toward the tower. "This is amazing," Clarke says as she looks at the city.

"Your people continue to amaze me, Commander," Jake says as he looks at the city. Lexa smiles as they get to the tower. They climb off their horses and look at Lexa's advisor. Titus.

"Welcome home, Heda," Titus says.

"Thank you, Titus," Lexa says as Titus looks at Clarke, Octavia, Raven, and Octavia.

"These are the sky people?" Titus asks Lexa, who nods.

"Are the clan leaders here?" Lexa asks.

"Yes, Heda," Titus says.

"I will meet you inside," Lexa tells Titus, who nods as he walks away. Lexa walks over to the sky people. "I will have you taken to your rooms."

"Four rooms, right?" Octavia asks Lexa, who nods. Lexa motions a guard over.

"They are to be taken to their room. Lincoln will join you. If any harm comes to them, you will lose your head."

"Of course, Heda," The guard says, and Lexa nods as she goes into the tower with Anya, Indra, and Gustus behind her.

Lexa's P.O.V

Lexa walks into the throne room. The clan leaders stand and bow to the Commander as Indra goes over to her chair, and Lexa sits down. "Sit," Lexa tells them, and they nod. Anya and Gustus stood on her right, and Titus on her left. "Have there been any problems, Titus?" Lexa asks Titus.

"No, Commander," Titus says as Lexa looks at the clan leaders.

"The sky people are here, aren't they?" The queen of Azgeda, Nia, asks.

"Yes, they are," Lexa says as she looks at her. "I have spent the last three months in Tondc with Raven Reyes, Octavia Blake, Clarke Griffin, and Jake Griffin. They spend these last three months learning to live like us. They have learned our language, learned to fight."

"How do you know they can fight?" Nia asks.

"Indra trained Octavia, Anya trained Raven, and Gustus trained Jake. How did they do?"

"Raven has shown amazing process. She is skilled with a sword and a spear. She is also an amazing archer," Anya says.

"Octavia is one of the most skilled students I have ever had, and was able to keep up with me in a month. Skilled with swords, axes, spears, and even a bow," Indra says.

"Jake proved to me that his people are strong. He is quick and skilled with his sword and daggers. He will be an amazing warrior one day," Gustus says.

"What about Clarke? Who trained her?" Luna Kom Floukru asked.

"I did," Lexa says.

"You trained her, Commander?" Titus asks.

"I did. Clarke is skilled. She fights with two swords and carries two daggers on her belt. She is quick but also strong. I imagine someday she may even be able to face me in battle," Lexa says, and the clan leaders stay silent. "But let me make this clear, the sky people are under my protection. Attack them, and it will be an attack against me."

"What do we know about them?" The Desert clan leader asks.

"In eight months, prisoners from the Ark will be dropped to the ground when the leaders of the Ark learn that it is survivable down here. They will join them. I believe that the sky people are the key to us beating Mount Weather; their technology and knowledge of medicine are amazing. If you wish to make an alliance with them, you can speak with Clarke, Raven, and Octavia tomorrow. Now, let's talk about your clans, Luna start."

Wells's P.O.V

Wells and Murphy stood in front of Harper, Miller, Jasper, and Monty. "Why are we here?" Miller asks.

"What we are able to tell you, it is not to be repeated to anybody, ever. If you do tell someone, we could die. Abby could die, understand?" Wells asks, and they nod.

"Jake, Clarke, and Raven were not floated," Murphy says. "They went to the ground with a girl, a second child named Octavia Blake. She is the daughter of Aurora Blake and Marcus Kane."

"Okay, that is a lot," Harper says.

"There's more," Wells says. "Oxygen on the Ark is failing. We'll run out of air in less than two years. That is what Jake found out and was going to tell everybody, but my father wouldn't let him and arrested him for it. In eight months, the council will be sending every prisoner in the skybox to the ground," Wells says. "Murphy and I intend to be on that ship. Kane will be coming with us and sneaking Abby, Bellamy, and Aurora on the dropship."

"I hope that this is an offer for us to join," Miller says.

"It is," Wells says. "We still have eight months until the dropship drops. Until then, we need to make allies. Kane will need help. We'll get arrested three months before, and Jasper and Monty. Stop stealing herbs. You almost got caught."

"I forgot to replace what we took," Monty says.

"Bellamy fixed it. No more stealing. So you guys in?" Murphy asks.

"Hell yeah, we're in," Miller says as he looks at the other three, who nodded.

Thanks for reading. Miller, Harper, Jasper, and Monty know. In the next chapter, Kane tells them the next step. Raven, Octavia, and Clarke make allies, and Jake, Indra, and Anya work together to find a location for the Skaikru village. As always, suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
