TWO SYMBOLS

CHAPTER ONE: THE MIDORIYA BROTHERS; ORIGINS

Disclaimer: I do not own My Hero Academia or any of its characters. It all belongs to Kohei Horikoshi. The only thing I own are the OC's used in the story and the many twists in the plot of the anime. If I owned MHA, Izuku wouldn't have bothered to try and rekindle his past friendship with Bakugo. That is one of the few things I don't like about him. That and the fact he cries a lot. At least he doesn't do that anymore.

Chapter 1: The Midoriya Brothers; Origins

Here's the sad truth about life. Not all men are born equal, no matter how you try to look at it. Some are born more powerful than others, it's how the world works and at the age of four, some of us are forced to learn that the hard way.

It all started many years ago in Qing Qing City, China. An extraordinary child, who radiated light, was born. After that, reports of people with superpowers popped up across the globe. No one knew the cause of these powers and they were later referred to as Quirks.

Soon the supernatural became the normal, dreams becoming a reality. As the years passed, the rate of people being born with powers of their own continued to increase until our world became pretty much a superhuman society with about 80% of the population being born with some uncanny ability.

But with the rise of quirks, so did the increase in criminal activities. People who decided to use their special powers to commit criminal and evil deeds for their selfish and greedy purposes. These people were widely referred to as Villains. But as there are people who decide to use their powers for evil, there are those who use their powers to stop these villains and for the greater good. A new profession dominated our collective consciousness.

While the government were trying to reform laws with quirks in mind, courageous people started to perform heroic acts to keep the cities safe. Protecting us from villains who decide to abuse their powers. These people were well known as…

Heroes.

My name is Izuku Midoriya. And this is the story of how my brother, Ken, and I became the world's greatest heroes.

-Two Symbols-

"W-why are you being so mean. You're making him cry Kacchan!" A young boy of around 9 years of age with messy dark green hair, fair skin and green eyes with freckles on both cheeks in a diamond pattern wearing a light green shirt with dark green shorts and red shoes says as he stood protectively in front of another boy his age with spiky purple hair that points upwards and straight. The boy was crying and was on his knees. The green haired boy was shaking with small tears at the corner of his eyes. "If you keep on hurting him, I-I'll…I'll stop you myself!" The boy weakly declares, shakily getting into a fighting pose.

"Hmph. You think you can be the big hero huh?" A spiky ash blonde haired boy that looks the same age as the green haired one with red eyes and wearing an blue t-shirt and shorts says in a mocking tone. Behind him were two other kids their age. One fat one and a thin one wearing a purple cap. "You don't stand a chance without a quirk, Deku." He adds with a grin as he punches his right fist on his left palm causing a small explosion upon contact. The two other boys then activate their quirks.

The green haired boy takes a step back in panic as the three boys charge at him, aiming to attack him with their quirks, the ash blond haired one taking the lead.

It didn't take long. No matter how hard he tried there was no way he could take on three people who have quirks. Especially since he had no special power of his. The boy he was trying to protect and the other three had already left, leaving him laying on the ground with bruises and burn marks all over his body due to the beating he just received.

"Why don't you just give up and know your place you useless Deku!"

Those words kept replaying in his head. The words from the ash blonde boy wouldn't leave his mind no matter how hard he tried to get rid of it. He just laid there alone with his injuries. The bullies and boy he tried protecting already gone. The 10 year old boy, whose name is Izuku Midoriya, tried to get on his feet but the pain from the injuries wouldn't let him so he decides to just lay there until the pain subsides before heading home.

As he laid there, he began to think more and more of the words the ash blonde boy, Katsuki Bakugo had just told him before leaving. Ever since that day, when he diagnosed as quirkless, he has been seen as nothing but a useless person that can never achieve anything in life, not only by his peers but by also his teachers and the people living around him that knew of his lack of power. No matter how hard he tried to prove to them that wasn't true, it never worked. Instead he got ridiculed even more and also started getting bullied by his former best friend and his friends.

'If only I had a quirk.'

Tears began to form at the corner of his eyes as he began to think that what others thought of him was true. That he was a useless person after all. The pain from the explosions and beating he just received only weakened his will to stop himself from crying until the dam was burst.

Izuku continued to cry as he looked at the sky for a while until he heard footsteps heading towards where he was. He turns his head to the right to see a pair of legs walking towards him, each foot had white snickers on.

"Are you okay?" He looks up and sees that it was a boy that looked his age with light brown skin, spiky black hair that was pointing forward with spiky bangs over his forehead. His bright red eyes held concern and worry as he stared down at him. He is wearing a black t-shirt and shorts with dark blue shoes and a slightly messed up straw hat with a yellow band around it was hanging on his back through a cord around his neck.

Izuku quickly scrambles up to his feet and dusts himself off while wiping the tears from his eyes and cheeks. He then looks at the newcomer. "O-oh. Yeah, I'm fine." He answers the boys question.

The boy didn't seem to buy the obvious lie at all. "Huh? But you were crying just now. And what's with those injuries? Who hurt you?" The boy asks again and Izuku quickly tries to think of an excuse to give. He didn't want to tell the boy what really happened.

"Oh about that…I fell…" Izuku says the first thing that came to his mind.

The black haired boy stares at him with a raise eyebrow, not believing the lie. "You got all these bruises and burns from falling?"

"Yep!"

"Do I look stupid?"

"Uh…"

The black haired boy just stares at Izuku for a few seconds, Izuku fidgeting a bit from the boy's gaze before the boy sighs. "Fine. If you don't want to tell me then I'll just have to believe that…for now. Anyway, I need some help. I just moved into town after getting adopted, so I'm new here and I'm trying to get used to the area." The boy states as he looks around the area they were in. He then remembers something. "Oh yeah, I'm also supposed to look for someone. I think his name is Izuku Midoriya. You know him? He's around my age according to what I was told."

The green haired boy blinks twice, soaking in everything he had just been told. How did this boy know his name? Well, he won't know by just keeping quiet. "Uhh, you've already found him. I'm Izuku Midoriya."

The other boy's eyes widened before he then grins. "Wow, I must really be lucky. I never thought I'd find you this easily or meet you like this. Nice to meet you Izuku. My name's Ken Hiro and starting from today, I'm your new brother."

'Well, I can definitely see the resemblance between him and Mrs. Inko.'

Izuku didn't know how to react to that. He never expected this. He just stood there, staring at the boy in front of him in surprise, trying to process the new information. "Wait…you're my new…brother?" He asks, making sure he heard correctly.

"Yeah, that's what I said." Ken says, his grin still on his face. His grin then fades and he gains a stunned expression on his face when the freckled boy smashes his right fist on his head. "E-eh? Did you just hit yourself."

Izuku nodded his head, rubbing the spot where he had just hit. "Yeah. Sorry but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't just hearing or seeing things. This is not just something that you hear everyday. It's a big news."

"Oh I see. That makes sense actually." Ken says with a small smile while rubbing his head. He then sets out his right hand for a handshake. "Well, it's nice to finally meet you bro." Izuku stares at the hand for a few seconds and then looks at the smile his new brother had on his face. He was a bit taken back since apart from his mother, no one had ever treated him like this. He then takes his hand and the two shake hands.

"Yeah. Nice to meet you too, Ken." Izuku says with a shaky smile.

"Alright, now that we've met and introduced ourselves, could you lead us back home? I have no idea where I am." Ken says scratching the back of his head with a nervous chuckle while Izuku could only sweat drop at his new brother's forgetfulness. He then sighs. "Well okay, let's go home. It's not too far anyway."

"Alright."

The two boys began to walk towards their home with Izuku leading the way and Ken walking by his side while taking in the view of the parts of the town that he could see. It was totally new to him, being in a large city. He then looks at Izuku and decides to ask his earlier question again.

"Sooo, now you gonna tell me how you got these injuires?" Izuku jolted up and began to stutter, trying to come up with another lie or avoid the question all together but he decided that since the two would be living together from now on then there was no use hiding. So with a sigh and sag of his shoulders, he answers.

"W-well, I got beat up earlier trying to protect another kid from getting bullied but I wasn't able to put up much of a fight and ended up getting beaten and bullied easily." Izuku then pauses and closes his eyes, dreading the next words he was gonna say. "You see, I'm actually…quirkless. So there was no way I could beat Kacchan and his friends." He looks away from the other boy, fearing that, like everyone else, would begin to ridicule him and make fun of his lack of quirk. So you could see how surprised he was when he hears what Ken says.

"Huh. You're quirkless yet still tried to stand up to bullies to protect another person. Wow, you're pretty cool Izuku."

Izuku snapped his head to Ken and his eyes widen a bit at the bright smile on the boys face. He then blinks, remembering what the boy said just seconds ago. "You think I'm cool?" Ken nods. "But I don't have a quirk. No special power. I'm just a useless nobody." The freckled boy says remembering all the times he had been told that.

"Well if that's what people have been telling you, then don't mind them. They're just stupid." Ken says surprising Izuku. "Yeah, quirks and cool but they're not what makes people great or determine how useful you are. Besides, they're not the only things that make people cool. If people are giving you a hard time because of that then you're in luck. You have me to back you up from now on. After all, what are brothers for." He finishes his speech with a grin.

Izuku stared at his new brother in awe. No one had ever said any kind words or bothered to help him out, except his mum. He was finding it hard to process what the boy said. "Y-you really mean that."

"Yup! And that's a promise." Ken says with a thumbs up. The smile on his face fades when Izuku lunges at him and hugs him tightly, tears falling down his face at an alarming rate. Ken lets out a grunt at the gesture but does nothing to stop it. Even though he wasn't a fan of hugs.

"T-thank…you..very m-much, bro…" Izuku says between sniffs shocking the black haired boy for a bit before he smiled, patting the boy on the back. "There, there." He says. After a few minutes, Izuku still hadn't let him go and was still crying. His clothe was now soaked due to the green haired boys tears.

'Seriously, is this crying thing a family thing because this was how mum was when she picked me up and brought me to my new home. I hope I don't get it.'

"Uh…Izuku. Shouldn't we b heading home now?" Izuku's grip tightens at the question. "A few more minutes please." Ken groans mentally.

After a few more minutes, Izuku was able to calm down and let go of Ken, much to the boys relief and he began to once again lead the way home for them with a bright smile on his face. One that hadn't been seen since much often since he found out of his lack of quirk.

Speaking of quirks.

"Hey bro. What's your quirk anyway?" Izuku asks and Ken chuckles causing a confused expression to form on his face. "Huh? What's so funny?"

"Well, the truth is. I'm actually quirkless like you." Ken answers the question causing Izuku to stop on his tracks, frozen from the answer as he never thought he would meet another person like him.

"EH?!"

And so began an unshakable and unbreakable bond. One the world wasn't ready for.

Two Months Later…

"THE MORNING'S HERE! THE MORNING'S HERE! TIME TO WAKE UP YOUNG ONES TO A PLUS ULTRA DAY! THE MORNING'S HERE! THE MORNING'S HERE! TIME TO-"

An All Might themed alarm beeped as the booming voice of the no.1 hero filled a small but reasonable sized room for a single person. A hand immediately shoots out of the covers on the bed and hits the top of the alarm, turning it off. A figure then shifts under the bed covers and sits up revealing it to be none other than Izuku. A rather sleepy Izuku Midoriya.

The boy wondering why he still felt tired and sleepy, blinks twice before looking at the clock in his room. It was currently 5:30 in the morning.

"Wait wha-dammit not again" Izuku says with a groan just as his room was suddenly opened and he saw his brother step into the room with a toothy grin on his face. In the two months since Ken was adopted and brought into the Midoriya household, the two boys had gotten real close. So close, it was like they had been brothers by blood and had known each other for years and not just a couple of months.

He had grown to appreciate having the boy in his life, although right now he didn't appreciate the boy messing with his alarm and interrupting his sleeping schedule like he does at times.

"Morning bro! Rise and shine. Hope you're not mad about me changing the time your alarm rings but I wanted us to get ready for school as early as we can." Ken says. Izuku's eyes widen a bit as he had forgotten that today was the boy's first day of school since he was adopted.

"Oh right. I forgot." Izuku says as he gets up from his bed. "But why'd you have to wake me up this early?" He asked. "Bro, I've only had tutors for my entire life and mom just got the paperwork in order so that I can go to school, I need you to tell me all about what I need to know. Good places to sit for lunch, who to talk to, who not to talk to." Ken states.

Izuku was a bit surprised at the answer. "As for the other stuff I don't know what to tell you, I normally keep to myself. I'm sure you'll catch on quickly once you're in class," he was sure of that last part. Despite not going out much Naruto clearly had a more outgoing personality than he did."

"Hmm. You're probably right." Ken says. "I'd still like to hear what you know. It could really help." Izuku cracks a small smile. "Alright, I'll tell you all I know. But we have to get ready first since we're already up."

"Right gotcha."

After the two boys had gotten themselves cleaned up and ready for school, they headed towards the dining table and sat there, waiting for their mum to finish with breakfast while they continued to converse about school. Izuku telling Ken what the boy wanted to know. Soon two plates of pancakes were placed in front of them and the boys began to dig in, enjoying the older woman's pancakes.

"So today's your first day of school sweetie. I hope you're ready?" Inko asks Ken who only nods before swallowing. "Just make sure you don't cause too much trouble so that the teachers will be looking forward to having you. I know how you are."

"Sure. I'll try." Ken says as he swallows a pancake before eating another one.

"Don't worry mum. I'll make sure he doesn't do anything stupid in school." Izuku says. "I'm sure you will Izuku." Inko says with a smile. "Wow, such little faith in me. If not for the pancakes, I would be upset." Ken says as he holds up his fork.

Inko and Izuku chuckled as they went into a comfortable silence at the table, or as silent as it can be with two young boys devouring their plates. After a while Inko looked at the clock and began to stand up, "Ok boys, now it's time for you two to get going to school. Have a wonderful day and don't get back home too late. Love you boys," she sent them off with a kiss on top of their heads.

"Love you too mum." The two boys say as they head out the apartment and run off to school.

Aldera Middle School

As soon as the two brothers walked through the entrance of the school, the first thing Ken noticed was the weird and hostile looks the other students were sending their way. Or specifically, Izuku's way. The green haired boy had told him that due to his quirkless status that he wasn't the well liked or the most popular in school. 'Well I wouldn't say he's not popular. Just not for a good reason.' He thought. He also noticed something else. As the two headed to their classroom, Ken noticed that most of the girls were looking at him with blushes on their cheeks, which confused him and made him slightly uncomfortable. 'Are they sick or something?'

Once they got to class, they noticed that it was empty which didn't surprise them as they had come to school early. Izuku heads to his seat, which was right at the back of the class, right beside the window. Ken just follows and sits on the seat next to him. Soon, the class began to fill up and Ken glared at the students when they began to send Izuku dirty looks. Izuku was glad that Ken was there and was willing to protect him but he was dreading when the inevitable was going to happen. He didn't have too long to brace himself when he saw a familiar kid with spiky ash blond hair enter the classroom, and set his eyes on him.

The boy didn't waste any time and headed straight to Izuku and smashed his right palm on the boy's desk. He glances at Ken who was just staring at him before looking back at Izuku. "Oi Deku! Who's this extra that you've managed to trick into becoming friends with you?!" He asks rather loudly.

However before Izuku could try to answer the boy, Ken spoke up. "Oi! Who're you calling an extra?!" He asks not liking being called an extra. The blonde turns and faces him. "Hmph that's what you are! An extra. Look I know you're new here so I'm gonna give you some advice! Don't mess with me!" He loudly states.

"Oh yeah! Why shouldn't I?" Ken asks. Izuku tried to get them to calm down as he states. "K-kaachan…"

"Who told you to speak nerd?!" Bakugo says as he glares at the boy, causing Izuku to flinch and keep quiet. Ken didn't seem pleased by that. "Hey man back off! One more word to my brother and it's the last thing you're gonna say!"

Bakugo was stunned at what he heard. Brother? Since when did Deku have a brother? But then he remembered when his mum was talking to Deku's mum on the phone and he heard something about her adopting a kid. "Oh, so you're the kid my mum was talking about." A smirk forms on his face. "I kinda feel sorry for you. You have a useless weakling as a brother. How lame is that?!"

Izuku was trying to put his head down even more into his desk, trying

to make himself look even smaller and by some miracle end this

encounter instantly. Ken, on the other hand, was fuming. He didn't like how this guy was talking about his brother. "Take that back! Before I'd have to beat you to a pulp."

"K-ken…no…you can't…"

"Oh~ and how do you intend to do that huh?!" Bakugo asks cutting Izuku off as he sets out his right palm, small sparks were forming as his palm heated up. "There's no way you can compete with me and my quirk, so you better know your place extra!"

"Wanna bet?" Ken asks leans his face closer to Bakugo's, clenching his fist ready to fight the spiky haired boy. Izuku was now more worried, he was dreading the moment Ken met his former friend turned bully, not because he was afraid he was afraid Bakugo would beat and bully him too, but because he knew something like this would happen given both their personalities.

The room was silent as the rest of the class eagerly watched the

interaction between the new kid and the uncontested 'king' of Aldera.

Everyone in the school either thought Bakugo was the best thing

since sliced bread, or wasn't brave enough to question anything the

exploding boy did.

It looked like the two boys were going to have a full on brawl right then

and there, before a stretchy arm gave both of them a chop on the

head, stopping their antics, "Settle down you two. It's too early former to have to deal with a fight. I'll let you off with a warning right now

but I see you up again it's detention!"

Bakugo only huffs as he deactivates his quirk. "Tch, you're not even worth my time." He says as he walks towards his seat. Ken watches him sit before snorting and taking his own seat. Izuku sighs in relief that the teacher had come before the two boys could duke it out. That wouldn't have been pretty.

Classes went by smoothly from there. Ken had been made to introduce himself to the class at the start and since then had just been glaring non-stop at Bakugo who was also glaring back as hard. At one point, Ken began to pay attention to class and had to resist the urge to sleep right there. He found them extremely boring.

Soon enough it was time for lunch and the two boys had managed to find somewhere peaceful to it, away from the rest of the students. "Thanks for standing up for me Ken. Kaachan can be quite aggressive when he's worked up."

"Yeah whatever. No need to thank me just couldn't let that guy talk shit about you." Ken says. "Now that I think about it, I remember you mentioning this 'Kaachan' guy when we first met. He was one of the guys that roughed you up right?" Izuku nods.

"Believe it or not, we used to be friends." Izuku says then frowns. "Until he got his quirk and mine didn't come. You know the rest."

"Man, friends are supposed to stick together right? If he was so quick to turn on you for not having a quirk then he was never your friend. You made the right call cutting him out." Ken says fuming at the fact someone would so easily turn on another. Izuku rubs his arm. "Well, it's more like he cut me out. I'd still like to be friends with him. He might not be the nicest person around but I'm sure he's gonna do great things in the future." Izuku says with a smile.

"Wow…that's gotta be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard." Ken says with a dry look on his face.

"Huh? What do you mean by that?" Izuku asks.

"For someone as smart as you, that's kinda of a dumb thing to say. I don't think someone who'd turn his back on you and begin to beat you up while calling you insulting names is gonna do anything great in the future." Ken says as he quickly downs his food. "And also, I think you should start disassociating yourself with this guy as soon as possible." Izuku remained quiet and began to think about what Ken had said. It's true that for the past five years now, Bakugo hasn't really thought of him as a friend. He was more of a nuisance to the spiky blonde haired boy. He had also been treated like crap by the boy but he had still wanted to rekindle their past friendship. Could he really start to distance himself from the boy do the same?

"I'm not forcing you or anything, I just feel it's something you should do." Ken says seeing Izuku's thoughtful expression. "Not everyone is worth your kindness bro. People like that guy will only take advantage of you if you don't start to do something about it."

"But what can I do? It's not like I can stand up to him and defend myself." Izuku says and Ken immediately gets an idea. "That's it. Since you can't really defend yourself, Bakugo's gonna keep coming so we're just gonna have to fix that. I can teach you how to defend yourself against pricks like that guy."

"Huh? But how? I'm quirkless so how would I keep up?" Izuku asks unsure of the idea. "Quirks aren't everything you know. And I've seen some quirkless people who could take on people with quirks and win so it's not like its impossible. You just have to train harder and then I'm sure you'll be able to take on people with quirks too. And besides, you said you wanted to be a hero right?"

Izuku looks at his brother in surprise. To think he was willing to help him achieve his dream and defend himself. Maybe he could give this a try. "Ok. I'll do my best then." Ken nods and soon lunch break was over. The rest of the school day was uneventful and boring in Ken's case.

"Man, maths a pain." Ken says as he picks up his backpack. "I mean what's the point of studying that calculus stuff. Most of us aren't gonna need that for what we plan on doing in the future."

"Hehe. Well school's not the most exciting of places. And you have a point there." Izuku says as the two head towards the school exit. Ken grunts as he crosses his arms. "Well, I wish something exciting had happened today. It was really boring."

"OI!" A loud familiar yelling stopped them on their tracks and the two turn to see Bakugo walking towards them with a scowl on his face. "You fucking nerd. I've been waiting to give you what you deserve after trying to make a fool out of me this morning."

Ken walks up to the boy despite Izuku's protests. "Oh really. Well I've got a bone to pick with you too." He says and Bakugo growls lowly at the nerve of this extra. "I'm gonna enjoy running you through the dirt."

Izuku ran between the two boys hoping to stop them from fighting. "Can you guys calm down and stop this? We don't need to escalate things more than they already are and get into serious trouble." He says and Ken sighs before backing away.

This made Bakugo even angrier. "You shitty Deku, quit getting in my way all the time! If this prick here is gonna make you like this then I'm just gonna have to teach him a lesson."

Ken was going to say something but to his surprise Izuku beats him to it. "Just leave us alone Kaachan, can't you see we just wanna go home. We have more important things to do than deal with you and your yelling." The green haired boy says and it suddenly became silent. Everyone was staring at him in surprise at what he had just said, Ken included.

Izuku's eyes widen when he realized what he had said. He didn't know why he had said that. Normally he would never talk back at Bakugo or stand up for himself no matter how he felt but having his confident brother behind him must have been the reason.

Bakugo's glare then became even more menacing as he looked at Izuku with a look that promised serious pain. Izuku takes a step back. "I don't know why you decided to piss me off today but you're gonna wish you hadn't." He says as he charges at Izuku, wanting to pummel him to the ground. Izuku wanted to run but knew he wouldn't get too far before he was caught.

Before Bakugo could attack the boy, a fist smashes against his face sending him skidding back. Everyone stared in surprise at what had happened. The new kid had hit the self proclaimed and uncontested king of the school. Before Bakugo could register what had happened, Ken grabs Izuku and begins to book it out of the school.

"Crap! Why did I say that?" Izuku asks. "I wasn't even thinking and now Kaachan's gonna kill me."

"Man, didn't think you actually had it in you but that was great." Ken says with a grin. "You finally stood up for yourself against Bakugo." Izuku just nodded as the two continued to run home ignoring the angry yelling from the spiky blonde haired boy behind them.

Four Years Later…

"THE MORNING'S HERE! THE MORNING'S HERE! TIME TO WAKE UP YOUNG ONE TO A PLUS ULTRA DAY! THE MORNING'S HERE! THE MORNING'S HERE! TIME TO WAKE UP TO A-"

"Man…again." Izuku groans out tiredly and annoyingly says as he turns the alarm off and groggily gets up from bed. It had been four years since Ken had been adopted into the Midoriya family and had started schooling with him and it was quite an interesting four years.

Like Ken had suggested, the two had begun to train and workout together. They had come up with their own workout schedule and they had stuck to it. Izuku was grateful to Ken who had upped his confidence and also helped him learn to defend himself. He had gained a fair amount of muscle and his combat skills were better than most for his age. He had to compensate for his lack of quirk unlike Ken and had made leaps and bounds.

Speaking of quirk, Ken had finally revealed his quirk to Izuku, on their first day of training. Izuku remembered the day like it was yesterday.

Flashback(Four Years Ago)

It has been two days since Ken's first day at school and it was now Saturday. The two boys stood at the same park that they had first met both wearing matching track suits only while Izuku's was green and white, Ken's were purple and white. Ken had finally decided to reveal his quirk to the boy and to say Izuku was excited was an understatement.

"You're finally gonna tell me what you're quirk is?!" He asks loudly and excitedly as he stares at Ken who had a grin on his face. "Yup. I believe it'd be best for you to know since we're gonna be training together. Plus I should have told you weeks ago." Ken says and then sweat drops when he sees Izuku bring out one of his quirk analysis notes and pencil from only God knows where.

"Anyway. My quirk is actually not all that great and powerful." He starts as he grabs a hold of his right cheek. "It's a quirk I call Speed Force." He begins to pull his cheek which stretches the more he pulls. "Basically, it increase my base speed to superhuman levels. At least that was what I was told. The downside is that it drains my stamina quite quickly."

"Wow. That's a pretty neat quirk." Izuku says as he begins to write in his note. "With a quirk like that, you could take down opponents and save people quickly. You can also use your speed to increase the force and power of your attacks and then…" Ken's sweat drop increases as Izuku began to mutter about his quirk, its uses, weaknesses and ways to use it to fight.

"Uh…Izuku." Ken says as he chops the boy on his head. "Let's tone down the muttering and get this training started." Izuku blushes in embarrassment as he rubs his head.

Flashback End…

"Oi Izuku, you in there!" A voice snaps Izuku back to reality as he stares at Ken who was staring at him with crossed arms. "You kinda spaced out there, you're supposed to be preparing for school." He says. Like Izuku, the now 14 year old had grown a lot of the last four years.

He had grown quite tall, up to a height of 5'7, two inches taller than him who was standing at a height at 5'5. He had also gained some muscle and his hair had grown quite a bit but it was still in the same style. Spiky black hair that points forward and has spiky bangs over his forehead, just above his dark red eyes. He had also gained an angular jaw. He was wearing a black garutan uniform with white snicker and had a straw hat with a yellow band around it. He had always wondered where he got the hat from but Ken just told him it was something important.

"S-sorry, I was just thinking." Izuku says. "Well quit the thinking and start getting ready." A grin forms on Ken's face. "Today's our final day of middle school. No more of boring lectures." Izuku sweatdropped at the last statement but he shakes it off and smiles. "Yeah and then in ten months, it's the UA entrance exams."

"Right. Now hurry up so we can get to school so this day can end quickly." Ken states pushing his brother out the door. Once Izuku was done getting ready, the two ate breakfast and left the apartment, greeting their mum as they ran off.

Aldera Middle School

Once the two got to class, they took their seats which were at the back right beside each other. It was relatively peaceful with everyone minding their own business, no one bothering to disturb them. The two were busy going over Izuku's analysis notes.

Earlier there was a villain attack on their way to school and they were able to watch the heroes take care of the villain. One hero had made her debut as well. She was going by the name Mt. Lady and had a quirk that let her grow the size of a giant.

"Man, I can never understand these notes of yours bro." Ken says as he read the boy's notes on Mt. Lady. How he was able to write so much in so little time after just seeing her in action once surprised him.

"Guess I'm just that talented." Izuku says. As the two were enjoying their peace, the doors of the class are roughly opened and a spiky blonde haired boy walks into the class with his usual scowl on his face. He spots the two brothers who were enjoying their peace as they sat on their seats. He then walks up to them.

"What the hell are you two losers doing?!" He asks them with clear venom in his voice. It was a well known fact that Katsuki Bakugo didn't really like the two Midoriya brothers that much. In fact, he doesn't just not like them, he hates them ever since Ken's first day at school. Yes, he had a pretty good quirk but to him, it was a pretty nothing compared to his. And yet he had the gall to stand up to him. He had taken any opportunity he had and tried to make them pay and give their lives hell but no matter what he did, they never took him seriously which pissed him off.

"Oh, boom boom. You're a bit later than usual. How's the jaw by the way?" Ken asks with a snicker which caused the blonde to growl in anger. The other day, he had attempted to attack the two brothers after school as they had pissed him off. He decided to attack from behind and was about to blast them when to his and everyone's surprise, Izuku quickly spun around and delivered a strong uppercut to his jaw sending him skidding back. The fact that the nerd had hit him with a punch that actually hurt both shocked and angered him. "Does it still hurt?" Ken asks with a worried expression that everyone knew was fake.

"YOU BASTARD! I'M GONNA MAKE THE TWO OF YOU PAY FOR THAT! AND DON'T EVER CALL ME THAT!" The explosive teen shouted.

"Katsuki calm down and take a sit, the teacher will soon get here." Izuku says with no ounce of fear or hesitation. That is also one of the things that had changed. Izuku was now more confident around the boy and in general and had learned to no longer fear the boy. He had also realized how stupid he was to still think the two of them could be friends and decided that just as Bakugo cut him out, so would he cut the blonde out as well. He had also stopped calling Bakugo 'Kaachan' and was now calling him by his first name.

"SHUT UP YOU SHITTY NERD! JUST CAUSE YOU KNOW HOW TO FIGHT A BIT DOESN'T MEAN YOU GET TO TALK BACK AT ME! YOU'RE STILL JUST A USELESS DEKU!" Bakugo screams as he was having the urge to use his quirk and blow the two away.

"Geez do you have to be so loud." Izuku says as he was covering his ears. He always wondered how the boy could scream so loudly on a constant basis without straining his throat.

"Why you…!" Bakugo growls as his palm glows an orange colour indicating the activation of his quirk. He was getting ready to blow these two bastards to bits and show them their places beneath him but the teacher had shown up before he did.

"EVERYONE! SETTLE DOWN!" He orders as he looks at them with an annoyed expression. He wasn't 'n the mood to deal with all this shit today. Thankfully, today was the last day, so he wouldn't have to deal with it anymore. 'Thank God for that.' "Anyway, as third year students, it's time for you to start thinking of your futures. I could pass some career aptitude tests but…" He then carries the papers and flings them away. "…I know you all want to become heroes." He says as the other students began to cheer while using their quirks. "Yes, yes, you have some pretty amazing quirks but no quirk usage allowed in the classroom. Get a hold of yourselves."

'Amazing my ass.' Ken and Bakugo thought.

'I'd prefer being quirkless than having some of the quirks these guys have.' Izuku thought.

"Oi teach. Don't lump me in with these losers, I'm the real deal here. All these punks will be lucky to become sidekicks to some busted d-lister hero." Bakugo says with an arrogant smirk and tone. This caused the rest of the class' mood to change as they were now mad for being called losers.

"Hmm, you have impressive test results. Maybe you'll get into UA." The teacher says shutting the class up as they stared at Bakugo in shock. UA High was the best hero school in Japan and arguably the world and the school was well know for it's low acceptance rate making it hard to get in.

"Of course. It's the only school for me." The blonde says as he stands on his table. "I aced the mock tests and I'm going to be the only one from this shitty school that will get into UA. And then I'll become a hero even far greater than All Might and the whole world will know who I am."

"Like a prick like you could possibly surpass All Might." Ken says and Bakugo was about to retort when the teacher said something that shocked him. "Oh yeah. Ken and Izuku Midoriya, the two of you also want to attend UA right?"

"Yup." The two says with smirks on their faces.

"Huh?! How the hell did two losers like you think they could get into UA?! Why would a have a quirkless reject and a guy with a shitty quirk when they can have someone like me?!" Bakugo yells at the two, clearly angered by what he heard.

"Geez, what's it to you anyway?" Ken asks.

"They actually got rid of that rule you know. Quirkless people can now get into UA." Izuku says trying to calm Bakugo down. It didn't work as Bakugo used his quirk and blasts their desks with an explosion that pushes them back a bit. Before he could do anything else Ken punches him on the face. Izuku was about to intervene but the teacher used his quirk to separate them.

"I'm not in the mood to deal with you two fighting again. Back to your seats." Ken and Bakugo both glared harshly at each other before sitting back down. "Alright, let's continue with classes."

The day went by quickly and soon classes were over. The two brothers were packing their stuff and were getting ready to leave when Bakugo and his two lackeys confronted them.

"What do you want?" Ken asks.

"You got some nerve pulling a stunt like that." Bakugo said with a loud growl as he got in Ken's face, glaring at the boy. Ken glares right back. "Well, did you think we'd just let you attack us and not do anything? Besides you really deserved that."

Bakugo then grabs Ken's collar. "You think you're better than me! You shit!" Bakugo shouted in anger. Ken only smirks. "I don't think I am. I know I am." Ken says as he grabs Bakugo's arm, gripping it tightly. The two boys glared at each other with more intensity than before.

"You and me outside now." Bakugo says letting go of Ken.

"Oh you wanna go huh." Ken says as he slowly grins. "Well, I believe it's time I put you down a peg or two." He says.

"Wait, Ken don't. He's not worth it." Izuku says hoping to get Ken to reconsider. Bakugo growls at the boy's statement and made a mental note to seriously deal with the boy once he was done with Ken. "Nah sorry bro but I think it's time someone dealt with this asshole." Ken then turns and smiles at the boy. "Head on home and tell mum I'll be there soon."

Izuku sighed. He now knew it was hopeless to try and stop Ken as he was determined to fight Bakugo. He wasn't too worried about the boy as he could definitely handle himself. He just hoped he'd be careful. Bakugo may be an arrogant asshole but he is for a reason. He's tough and can definitely back up what he says.

Bakugo then turns to his lackey and orders them to get home which they do, confident the blonde would teach Ken his place. Bakugo and Ken then head to the school gym. They didn't have to worry about any of the teachers stopping them, the school was almost empty. Only the principal, school janitor and the two of them were in the school.

Ken then takes off the top of his garutan uniform not wanting his movements to be slowed or hindered by it. Turns out he was wearing a black vest underneath it. He then clenched his fist as he got in a fighting stance.

"I'm gonna enjoy beating you up and showing you your place you bastard. You're gonna regret messing with me." Bakugo declares as he let out small sparks of explosions on his right palm, a habit of his whenever he was angry or ready for a fight.

"We're hear to fight not hear you run your mouth." Ken says and that was it for Bakugo. In his anger to uses his quirk and blasts himself towards Ken. Today they would finally settle this.

And that's it for this chapter. I made sure to make this as long as I could. If some of you have read the fanfic, 'Maelstrom at UA' you'd notice some of the scenes I borrowed from that story. Don't worry, this is only until the third chapter. Anyway, I decided to give Ken the Speed Force quirk I had given him in the Blue Flash story. This is not gonna be Ken's only quirk as I plan on giving him three or four more quirks after this. I've already decided on two that I'm gonna give him. If you have any quirk ideas, you can pm me your ideas.

Anyway, that's it for this chapter.

Read and Review.

Peace.
