Hello again, this time I brought you a story based in the "Pokémon: Black and White" show. This story focuses on Ash's Oshawott and his adventure through the Unova region. The ones who watched the show will know how the Sea Otter Pokémon is, but I wanted to give a new focus in his story, and his romances. With this clarification, let's begin with this story.

CHAPTER 1: Dreams for traveling

Traveling with Ash was a journey that changed his life completely. Oshawott was... partly happy. He could meet many Pokémon, he fought many battles, he had become stronger and he could face his fears. The otter should be happy after that his journey with his trainer had ended in a good way; however, not everything was like that. At the beginning it was difficult for him before choosing Ash as his companion through the Unova region.

The Sea Otter Pokémon remember a bit how his first days were since he was born. He only remembered the face of the being that took care of him all this time: Professor Juniper. She was very kind and fond with him. Not only that, he had as companions a Tepig and a Snivy, which played and lived in the Professor's laboratory. Oshawott was raised by her along with the other Pokémon. She thought that every Pokémon had qualities that made them unique. Oshawott had a behavior of an innocent, infantile and playful child. He looked very happy at the beginning. Over time, he was gaining some particular qualities. One of them was disappearing easily. He could be lost inside or outside the laboratory for hours. Juniper was much worried about his sudden disappearances. It seemed that he liked to go to places that he considered nice to him. The Professor came to think that his Pokémon was going to get lost one day and they wouldn't see him again, fortunately, nothing of that happened. He used to get into trouble, but it wasn't so much.

When Oshawott grew up a little bit more, Juniper said to the Pokémon starters their objectives:to be the first Pokémon that was going to accompany a young person that started its journey as a trainer. They kept in mind those words and had to be prepared for the day when a young person aspiring to be a trainer chose them to start its journey. Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott waited that day of going on a travel. Usually, the aspiring person had to choose only one Pokémon of the three. After choosing, the two remaining looked how the lucky Pokémon was chosen by the youngster, starting its journey, and also, a valuable friendship. Commonly, it had to get another Pokémon to replace the one who was traveling with a human, doing a rotation. Some left and others stayed.

Oshawott always wanted that a young human chose him to accompany him in its trip through the region. He always showed his most adorable and happy side to have more opportunities to be selected. The days passed and the only thing that he saw was the youngsters choosing either Snivy or Tepig, staying Oshawott in the Professor's laboratory another time. This continued for days, weeks, and he even thought it was months. The otter was too much time without being selected to be the partner of a newly-started trainer. He always saw a companion leaving while he was with Juniper another time. That enthusiasm for traveling with somebody through the whole region was disappearing progressively. He was getting sadder and sadder for not being chosen, it was as if everyone didn't want him since the beginning. Was he doing something wrong? Wasn't he adorable enough to be chosen? Something was very wrong. He was getting sadder and depressed, to the point of to be in shock for not being chosen. The Professor Juniper said to him to cheer him up that he was going to be chosen next time, but it was uncountable times that he was rejected to travel with someone. He tried to be as positive as possible, but nothing worked.

His life made a one hundred and eighty degrees twist when he met two young men, which one wanted to had his first Pokémon. Oshawott was rejected many times, but he thought that day was the perfect opportunity to travel with someone. He had a very strong feeling of he would finally be chosen as a partner of a trainer, so he prepared himself and put his best face. He went with Snivy and Tepig along with the Professor to introduce themselves to the aspiring person, who was accompanied by a young man with hat that came from another region. One by one they were introducing themselves, until it was the otter's turn. After materialize, he showed his cutest face he had. He saw that the boy with hat was looking closely, as if he wanted to inspect his carefully. Afterwards, he heard some words that he liked so much. "Aww, aren't you the cutest?" said the boy with hat. The otter never before in his life had someone said such nice words to him. He heard from the youngsters that he was weak, ugly, and useless before. Hearing that put him much more depressed, but now he heard nice words of somebody, and Oshawott felt grateful with him.

After finishing the introduction of the Pokémon, the young man aspiring to be a trainer, who was called Trip, he had the will to choose one of them for his journey. Oshawott wanted to keep calm in that tense moment. He looked calm on the outside, but the wait was getting him very nervous. Could it be him the chosen one for a long waited journey through the Unova region? Would he finally be chosen after many failed attempts? The Sea Otter Pokémon didn't have to get nervous, or otherwise, he would give a bad impression to Trip and wouldn't be chosen. The waiting was killing him. The young man took out a camera and photographed the Pokémon, and later he said his decision. "I'm decided, I'm choosing Snivy." Those so determined words echoed in his head and made to break in thousand pieces all his expectations of traveling with a human. He was completely in shock. Oshawott couldn't believe it, he had the feeling that he would be chosen to travel through the region that day, but the destiny said the opposite, it seemed that it wanted to see him suffer once more. The shock was such that he fell to the left side. He couldn't believe it again, being rejected one more time. Everything was destroyed in pieces.

Being rejected again involved being another time in the laboratory. The problem was he didn't know how long his stay would last until be chosen by a youngster. The otter was very sad and devastated. Just then, he saw Trip exiting the laboratory with the Pokédex and Poké balls in hand, starting his journey as a trainer with his partner Snivy. The water type Pokémon wouldn't see him ever again in his life like his previous companions of the laboratory. He thought that Snivy had a lot of luck or that Oshawott had an incredibly bad luck. How long is he going to stay in the lab with Juniper? One more than considerable. Oshawott was still very depressed. What could he do now? He didn't have the slightest idea. It seemed the only thing remained was waiting for another day.

He was still sad, but he remembered in one instant what the young boy with hat said. "Aww, aren't you de cutest?" That moment was something special for the water type Pokémon. Those kind words made him smile again. He was grateful for that young boy from another region. Oshawott felt something that made him confused, it was a nice feeling in his inside that triggered his happiness. What could it be? Maybe that nice sensation would be about… fondness? Fondness for someone other than his caregiver? Was it because those nice words that he said previously? The Sea Otter Pokémon felt a connection with the young boy with hat, there was something that didn't allow them to separate. He was very pleased for that person. Something tell him that he had to travel with him, wherever it was, and they would enjoy very well living many experiences in their journey, He had to be with him, even if he didn't care becoming stronger, he just wanted to be with him because he liked him, and he was a nice person with the Sea Otter Pokémon.

He had to follow him wherever he went. The boy with hat also exited the laboratory, he thought he was to reach Trip. What did he want to do with him? It didn't matter. Oshawott had to follow him, even if implied another telling off from Juniper. In that moment a Pokémon that didn't know appeared, that he never had seen in his life. It was like a yellow mouse with long ears, red circles in the cheeks and a lightning-shaped tail. What Pokémon was it? He had no idea, but it didn't matter now. The otter exited the laboratory and started to follow the boy with hat cautiously. In that moment the water type Pokémon was shy so to tell him that he wanted to travel with him, so he searched the perfect opportunity to encourage himself and talk to him.

Oshawott walked a little and he found the young boy with hat, Trip and that rare yellow Pokémon. It seemed that Pokémon belonged to the boy with hat. Oshawott hid behind a tree and saw what was happening, the two trainers were having a Pokémon battle. Trip's Snivy versus the yellow mouse of the young man with hat. The otter, after that youngster give an order to his Pokémon, he could know that the Pokémon's name was Pikachu. He still continued being a Pokémon that he had never seen in his life. He also noticed that friendship bond that they two had. They understood each other very well, as if they were lifelong partners. Oshawott saw the battle without being noticed by them. After some attacks thrown between their Pokémon, the young man with hat ordered to Pikachu to use Thunderbolt. It seems that Pikachu was an electric type, but he wasn't too sure, because something strange happened: the mouse didn't launch the attack. How strange, something happened to him. He tried, but he couldn't.

Afterwards, his ex-companion of laboratory gave a strong Tackle, and the yellow Pokémon was pushed back. The youngster with a hat gave the same order again, but nothing happened. He tried so hard to take electricity out, but nothing worked. In a desperate attempt, he used Volt Tackle, he ran in a straight line, but it neither worked out. It was as if someone drained all of his energy to create electricity. After so much effort, Pikachu got tired and became weak, but the young man with hat didn't give up. He ordered him to use Iron Tail, but Snivy dodged and afterward used Leaf Tornado. He spun with his head on the ground and a big tornado of leaves was created, which trapped Pikachu and sent him to the sky. Oshawott was surprised. He had known that his ex-companion from the lab was very strong to be a starter Pokémon, so Pikachu got too much damage. Then the grass snake launched him to the ground very hard. The Sea Otter Pokémon was shocked. He saw how the electric mouse was on the ground without moving. Later, he saw the young man with hat going to him to check him, and afterwards he saw going to the lab with the Pokémon in his arms. Something was wrong with Pikachu, Oshawott had to investigate.

Oshawott also went to the lab to know if Pikachu was is in good conditions. Minutes after entering, something strange happened. The screens that there was in the lab had some type of interference, they were turning off more and more. Later, there was a sudden power cut of lights. He didn't know what was happening. The otter arrived to the door where examination with the Pokémon was made, he wanted to enter, but the doors didn't open because they used electricity to move. Just then, the doors opened; a Juniper assistant made force to the gates and opened them, according what he heard inside the room, she ordered to restart the system. After that the gates were opened, Oshawott could see what was happening. Pikachu was in a table and was releasing a lot of electricity. He could heard his cries of pain for so much electric discharge. It was a very scary scene. The water type worried a lot for the electric Pokémon, but he worried much more when Pikachu's trainer hugged him with the attempt to stop the immense released electricity. If the otter got close, he would be impacted by one of those lightning bolts and it would made him too much damage. He couldn't do anything.

Afterwards, all of that electric discharge was gone suddenly. The young man with hat and Pikachu, sore, fell off the table. Just then, a woman worried for him went to see him. She was older than him and she said his name, which it was Ash. The otter thought that she was his mother, because of being so worried about him. Later, the lights suddenly came back to the building. It seemed that everything came back to normal. Oshawott went to see Ash to know if he was alright. He was calmed when he knew that he was in good conditions. The young trainer wondered about Pikachu's condition. He was laid on the floor until he got up, Ash saw no damage to the outside of the body; what is more, he was happy, because he returned to have his electricity. The otter was happy to know that he was alright. Ash even ordered to Pikachu to use electric attacks on him to be sure. They were very hard blows, but it seemed that the young man with hat stood very well the attacks, it seemed.

How good that everything returned to normal. It was late. It would become night to start a new day.
