Chapter 8: Nightly life of a thief son
"Okay, you know what you two must do right." A Faunus in a hood told the people behind him.
...
...
...
"I said you know-"
To the Faunus surprise, he was shocked at what was happening behind him.
He saw two people just sitting in the back playing rock, paper, scissors.
"Hey! We got a job to do so stop pl-"
The person stops once he felt something go right past his face. Turning he saw a knife sticking out of the wall of the bullhead they were in.
Turning back he saw both individuals just look at him with annoyed eyes. As both people turn back to each other they continue to play their game.
Quickly getting back into the front of the bullhead the person just took a seat next to the person flying it.
"Yea, word of advice don't bother them when they are playing their game."
"Ye...Yea, why are they like that?"
"Well, if you make it past today I will tell you, but to give you a hint." The man flying the bullhead just looks behind him. "They are trying to find out who will go first."
As the ship made it to the destination the pilot gets up and turn to the Faunus behind him.
"Keep this thing in the air, and try not to crash it before we come back."
The faunus nods and get in the pilot seat. Soon the man heads to the back where two people were sitting, one with an upset face.
"So I'm guessing Johnny is coming with me?"
POP!
Johnny just shakes his head and begins to sign 'Nope, sis here is the one who is going, she's just upset that she is getting the boring job today.'
Next to him his sister just pouts and shoves him to the side.
"Alright, well then Johnny you get the roofs keep an eye out for any unwelcome guest."
Johnny just nods and stands up walking towards the door of the bullhead. As he walks towards it he grabs the knife that he threw earlier and puts it inside the left side of his jacket. As soon as he reaches the door he opens it and turns back to his pops and sis. With a simple wave he jumps off the bullhead and into the night of Vale he went.
For the most part, this was the easiest part of this night job. All Johnny had to do was watch for anyone who came close, that being civilians, cops, or worse Huntsman. All he had to do was keep them distracted for enough time for them to make their escape and soon they went home.
Honestly, it beats being with his pops right now. He's probably right now, just entered the store and made his demands for all the Dust that the person has as we speak. But soon the owner of the shop will hit his security button and then the real problem will come.
Same song and dance as all the other times.
Lie, Steal, Cheat, and Survive.
This is why Johnny didn't want to do this anymore. The same thing every night, the same problems, the same drama, the same life. So he needed to change it. He made the decision a long time ago of changing it.
And all it took was helping others, rather than his own family.
BOOM!
Johnny soon turn his head and saw an explosion off in the distance where his pops and sis were at.
So that is what he meant to cause a little chaos.
Johnny soon reaches into the left side of his jacket and pulled out his weapon, 'Unspoken' a black and white baseball bat.
Sigh...Pop.
He only hope that this wasn't going to be a long night.
ACK!
A body soon fell to the ground unconscious. Looking around him, he feels like he did these cops a favor by not letting his Sis deal with them.
Speaking of which where are they? They should have been here by now.
Reaching into his jacket he pulls out his scroll to send a text.
'Where?'
POP
' Pickup. Now. '
That's not good. Well, I'm sure they can handle it. I know what I must do and follow the plan.
Running through the streets of Vale Johnny can hear from a distance a group of sirens getting closer and closer to his location. Pulling his scroll and sending a text informing his pops of how long they got left.
' two minutes.'
With that out of the way, he puts his bat inside the left side of his jacket and quickly climbs one of the building escape ladders making it to the roofs of the buildings. Once on top, he jumps on a few roofs making it to a clearing where the bullhead was landed.
Jumping off the roof, Johnny rushes to the bullhead and knocks at the door.
Once it opens he steps inside and points at the pilot that it was time to go. As the bullhead began to take off. Johnny points in the direction of the extraction.
It wasn't hard to find them especially since the building they were on was on fire. As the bullhead began to descend and the doors opened, he helps his pops and sis up on the ship.
"Alright, we got what we needed now it's time to leave."
Johnny just looks at him wondering where was the dust.
"The Animals have it. So we are just the distraction so they can take it all back to the warehouse."
Nodding his head he turns to his sis and sees her smiling.
'What's up with you?'
She looks at him and signs back.
'Oh nothing, I think this time I actually had some fun dealing with that little huntsman.'
...
This crazy family he was in.
As they made it back to the warehouse and soon saw a truck pull towards it. From the window of the truck, he saw some Fang members get out of it and go to the back of it opening the doors and beginning to take out crates and crates of Dust.
"Take it inside the warehouse and ditch the truck. We don't want any people calling that a runaway truck was seen heading this direction." His pops order the members and soon turn to Johnny and his sis.
"I will take it from here and deal with any problems. You two get some rest, I'm going to need you tomorrow night again."
Both just nodded and began to walk away from the warehouse.
Johnny felt his shoulder tap and turn his head towards his sis.
'So how many did you get?'
'Four cops and that's it. You?'
'Just one Huntsman, but he bearly put up a fight. Guess you win tonight.'
Both people just smile and begin to walk toward Vale, heading to their home.
POP
Johnny felt his scroll beep and pulled it out seeing that he got a new message.
'Hello sorry for the late text. But do you do parties for kids?'
Smiling at this, He knew that tomorrow was going to be another eventful day.
