"I did it. I passed." Everyone started to cheer even Fundy as he could tell that everybody was happy.
"I did it, baby boy. I graduated early." "Dada mama papa no no mama dada." "Yeah, what else." "G." Wil and Grian both locked eyes because that was the first time Fundy had mentioned Grian while babbling." "Fundy who am I?" Fundy turned his head and looked right at Grian. "G!" "That's right Fundy I'm G."
Fundy stood up and walked over to Wil. Wil started to smile and caught him when he fell.
"This day keeps getting better and better." "Dada mama dada." Fundy looked at his dad and then laid his head on Wil's shoulder.
Wil took his son upstairs and then laid him down in his playpen. Just then, one of Sally's sisters called him.
"Hello?"
"Wilbur, it's me, Grace. I was wondering how's Fundy is doing, and if we can see him, mom misses him."
"He's feeling better, and just let me know when."
"Thanks Wilbur you're always so nice."
Just then Fundy started to cry.
"I got to go Grace Fundy Just woke up."
"Can I talk to him?"
Fundy started crying more because he hated that he was being ignored.
"I'll call you back when I get him situated."
Wil got off his bed and walked over to Fundy and then picked him up and then carried him to his bed where he left his phone.
"Do you want to talk to Aunt Lace." Fundy looked around Wil room looking for her or anybody from Sally's family and started to cry once he figured out that they weren't here. Just then, Wil phone started to ring.
"Hello,"
"Hey Wil,it's me."
"Let me put my phone onspeaker!"
Wil did that and heard back round noises.
"Ok, you're on speaker."
"Fundy, do you hear auntie Grace."
Fundy started babbling and kicking his feet and smiled as he also missed Sally's family too.
"no no mama dada g Dada la papa mama la g dada."
"Do you have fun in daycare?"
Fundy just made a happy nosie.
Just then, they heard Sally's mom call for Grace.
"I got to go. I'll talk to you later."
"Ok, Grace."
"I love you Fundy."
"La la mama dada"
"Bye."
Once they hung up, Wil looked over at Fundy.
"Do you want to go for a walk, baby boy?" Fundy just smiled up at his dad. "I take that as a yes." Wil grabbed Fundy's diaper bag and the umbrella stroller and buckled him in.
"Dad, I'm taking Fundy for a walk." "OK just be home by 7:00." "I will."
Once Wil got outside, he heard Fundy babbling and kicking his legs. Soon, they passed somebody going out for a jog. "Aww, what a cute little boy." "Thank you." "So, what's his name?" "Fundy." "Thats a weird name, but it fits him." Fundy noticed her and started to cry because she looked like one of the people Sally left him with while she got different stuff. "Fundy, it's ok. we will start moving soon." "Mama no bye-bye." "Fundy mama isn't with us." "No bye-bye ." Wil checked the time on his phone and saw that it was 6:20, and Fundy usely eats a snack before he gets his bath. "I'm sorry, but I need to get him home." "No problem, I need to get going anyway too."
Wil waved bye and then made his way back to his house.
Once he got home
Wil entered the house and unstrapped Fundy and watched as he crawled over to Phil. "You're back early." "Yeah I think Sally just leaves Fundy with anybody." "Why do you say that?" "When we were out walking a jogger came up to us, and at first Fundy ignored her, and then he started crying about wanting Sally not to leave." "Thats truly weird."
Later that night
Wil and Fundy had been up since two when Fundy had woken up from a bad dream.
"Will what are you still doing up?" Wil looked over and saw Grian sitting on his bed looking over at Wil, who was sitting on the rocking chair trying to get Fundy back to sleep. "Fundy woke up and decided that he was going to stay up all night.""Do you want me to stay up with you?"
"No, I got it. It's not the first time I pulled an all-nighter, and Fundy hardly goes to sleep for anybody but me." "Ok good night, Wil." "Night."
Later that morning
Wil was getting ready for his last class while he listened to Fundy babble. "Are you ready for your last day of daycare Fundy?" "Dada hi." Wil smiled and answered him. "Hi buddy." "Dada eat?"
Later that day
Wil walked up to Sally's family home with Fundy in his arms. "Lace lace!" "Yeah we are going to see Grace." Wil knocked on the door and two minutes later Sally's mom was the one to answer the door.
"Wil, it's so good to see you, and look how big my grandson got." "Lace!" Fundy looked around Sally's house and then caught sight of one of his most favorite aunts. "LACE!" Wil put him down and watched as Fundy crawled over to Grace and waited for her to pick him up.
"Oh sweet boy, we have missed you." Fundy had started to kiss her cheek and smiled when he heard that Sally's family had missed him.
Later that night
Wil was carrying a cranky Fundy because they had stayed until 10.
"Dadza, we're home." Wil waited and then looked around his house. Wil stopped by the living room and sighed when he saw his dad sleeping on the couch. "Dadza I'm home." Phil looked over at Wil and then looked over at the clock that hung on the wall.
"Wilbur Thomas Le'Crowe do you know what time it is?" "I know but." "But what?" Wil looked down at Fundy who had fallen asleep on their walk home.
"Let me put Fundy to bed and then you can finish yelling at me." "Ok."
Wil walked up to his room and quickly changed Fundy's diaper and changed him into his pj's then laid him down in his playpen. "Sweet dreams Fundy."
Wil headed back downstairs and sat down next to his dad. "Do you remember how Sally wouldn't take him when her dad was home?" Phil nodded and waited for Wil to continue.
"You know how she always says it's because he doesn't like Fundy that wasn't true. He knew nothing about Fundy so when he saw me at the house with a little boy on my lap he started interacting me and by that time Fundy was starting to get hungry because we had an early lunch."
Phil just listened while Wil talked. "I'm sorry you were put into that situation." "Thanks, dadza. May I go to sleep?" "Yes."
Wil headed back upstairs and into his room. When he was just about to fall asleep, his light came on, and standing there was Grian.
