Owen Hunt stood before his boss by day, Teddy Altman, as she expressed her regret on how she'd handled their work and family life over the last several months.

She also reiterated to him how much she loved him, always, but he already knew that. He'd always known that.

The meant to be couple of Grey Sloan had finally made up. Owen had his wife back, his Teddy and he was over the moon ecstatic but there was just one more thing looming over him…

"Dr. Patel called…" Teddy stated.

"Huh." Owen scoffed as she began to tell him that he in fact would not be getting his medical license reinstated at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital which meant he definitely would not be returning as Chief of Trauma.

He quickly prepared himself for the next words that were about to come out of his wife's mouth, however, he was unprepared for what they were actually going to be.

"And…you passed." Teddy beamed.

He stood there shocked. Passed? Did he hear that correctly? Or was his elation over having his wife back clouding his senses?

He had tried his best but it was a difficult day, full of tough decisions and he truly felt like Dr. Patel did not care for him, or his work and definitely would not have recommended that his former duties be reinstated.

"And I would really love it," Teddy pressed on, "if you would return to Chief of Trauma here at Grey Sloan effective immediately."

Owen beamed at his wife. This was all really happening. His entire life had taken such an unexpected yet amazing turn in a matter of minutes, and this was just the beginning.

"Thank you."

"Congratulations," she smiled, "I would kiss you so hard right now but…I'm Chief and well, people can see through these windows." She giggled.

"That's okay, we'll catch up later," Owen smirked and stuck out his hand for a professional handshake. "I'm gonna go pick up the kids now, boss. Meet you downstairs in 5?"

"Okay." She smiled.

He nodded in agreement and gave her a subtle air kiss.

After Owen closed her office door, Teddy felt the biggest sense of relief she'd had in months. Sure, she knew she was right to feel the way she did about her husbands actions and how betrayed she felt by his execution. But she also knew her husband. She KNEW Owen Hunt. All of his intentions were pure, with Noah, with their family, with everyone who crossed his path. She knew the man she finally married and has a family with.

Later that evening, after the kids were fed, bathed and read two stories before bed, Teddy and Owen lay in each others arms, feeling the most love and intimacy they'd felt with each other in months.

"I love you so much, Owen. You know that?" Teddy looked up at Owen as she lay on his warm chest.

"I do." He smiled and kissed her hair.

"You know, with all the craziness, my new job, everything…we never finished our talk about maybe having one more kid…" Teddy stated.

"I never stopped thinking about it," Owen replied, "I just figured it was the last thing we needed to be talking about, given the circumstances of the past year." He half chuckled.

"Yeah!" Teddy agreed, and rolled her eyes jokingly. "But I have been thinking about it. Mainly because I'm turning 45 next month and if we want to do this, now is the time, if any." She said.

Owen scooted up and Teddy sat up so that they were directly facing one another.

"Teddy, you know me, I've always wanted a big family, so I'm open to trying. But I want to make sure this is what YOU really want. I mean, don't go through having another baby in your 40's just for me…"

Teddy smirked and gave her husband a questionable look.

"Are you calling me old?" She joked.

"Of course not!" Owen laughed and took her hands in his, "it's just that, I can only imagine how hard pregnancy and child birth is for a woman. And I missed a lot with Allison…I want to make sure that you're up for it again."

"Well, the odds of me becoming pregnant again naturally at this point are not great but, I did get pregnant with our girl without even thinking about it so, maybe we just keep doing what we're doing…but without precaution and see what happens? And, aside from that cervical insufficiency episode, my pregnancy with Allison was pretty smooth. Her birth was hard because I never got to those birthing classes…THAT would be nonnegotiable this time around. I was totally unprepared for that."

Owen nodded and smiled sweetly.

"Okay so then, we're trying?" He asked.

Teddy nodded excitedly and with a slight mist her eyes.

"Yeah, we're trying!" She beamed and took Owen's face in her hands and kissed him passionately.
