Chapter 38: Crushing A Beadle

Note: First Sweeney and Lucy get into the cabin, Then Sweeney searches for Nellie that night. But as he is searching he'll come across someone else. Yes I think it is time to get something out of the way so it is no longer an issue. There will be a little something at the end. We'll spend most of the chapter in Todd's POV, but not all. Anyway let's start the chapter

(Sweeney's POV.) It was time for the Mason family to move into the cabin. We went around Lovett's pie shop as I did not want her to know I was here yet. I wanted to see the bitches fear as I caught her off guard. Besides I did not want Lucy to deal with the stress of encountering her, or have her tell Lucy about me. Getting to our new home was a priority for now.

We were already buying a carriage with money we saved from our jobs in case we needed to spend extra. After we had done this we were on our way to the cabin. "Is it a nice cabin my love?" "It is a perfect cabin my dear Lucy, you will absolutely love it. It is the perfect place to live my dear." "I wonder if Mrs Lovett is still around?"

"Don't worry about that devil woman Lucy, she shan't bother you again, I will make sure." Lucy smiled at me. "I also hope I never see that foul beadle again," she added. If I ever see that foul man again he will die." "That man will have to go through me to harm you," I growled. Lucy laid her head on my shoulder as I drove us to the cabin.

Lucy lifted her head off my shoulder when we arrived. "Benjamin, it's beautiful." "does not rival yours my love." "You are flattering my husband." We carried our things into the cabin. It looked exactly as we left it before.

"I can remember this place, Sweeney." "We stayed here before we decided to escape London so the judge would not find us and take Johanna back." "Do you think he and his beadle will find us?" "They will not Lucy, and I will never again let those animals touch you." I'd best not tell Lucy that he was gone, she might get suspicious if she finds out I knew the judge was gone and dead beforehand. It will be hard to hide my nightly trip to kill Lovett.

I will kill her, I must kill her. Right now though it is just me and Lucy. "Let's put our clothes in the first bedroom closet and make the food we have. Then we will push the beds together," I instructed. "I would like that very much," Lucy said as her stomach growled. Me and Lucy put away our food and began to make dinner.

We were going to cook blueberry pies. Lucy cooked the food as I set the table. Once dinner was done we tucked into the pies. Lucy always loved blueberries, and she was always fantastic at making them. As always they were quite delicious as we ate. "You have outdone yourself again my angel."

"I always make the best I can Sweeney." We washed and put away the dishes together. "So we won't have to make returns to London Lucy, we can wash dishes, and I learned how to kill small animals with my razors, and you know how to garden. Once we have some seeds to plant we can sustain ourselves without having to set foot in London again after we get the seeds. You will never have to risk running into the judge, the beadle, or Lovett ever again." "I would love that very much," Lucy said, sounding relieved.

We talked well into the night until we decided it was time for bed. "I built up a decent amount of strength in Australia, so moving the bed into the bedroom will not be hard at all, I moved heavier things than a small bed love." "Try not to hurt yourself," Lucy said nervously. "I'll be fine, " my angel," I promised. It was a little harder now that I was older, but I succeeded in getting the bed in there as I promised. Once the beds were pushed together, Lucy got into her nightgown.

Her wearing her nightgown always made my pulse quicken. We both got into the bed and cuddled closely. "Let's get a good night's sleep my angel." After about an hour and a half when I was sure Lucy was asleep, I untangled myself from her arm. Thankfully Lucy slept like a brick, so I would have to purposely wake her up. I needed to be back before sunrise to get back before she woke up.

I could just tell her I woke up first. Now was time to head to the pie shop, break in, and send Lovett to hell. (Bamfords POV.) I was making my nightly rounds. The judge that took Turpin's place was no fun at all. But I still had my job as beadle to do so I was going to take my rounds tonight to see if anyone

Sometimes trouble makers would hang around the abandoned Mrs Lovett's pie emporium. After she was married and changed her name, she closed that place down and moved to a new location. I loved running the little brats time, maybe a good cane to the head would teach a good lesson. Though maybe a little more force would be required. (Sweeney's POV.) I pulled the carriage into Fleet Street next to the emporium.

The streets seemed to be empty tonight which was a great help. The least likely I'll be caught the better. I was surprised when I looked through the window. The building was empty, Lovett was no longer here. She wouldn't have left London would she. No, she had no reason to leave like I did.

You will not evade me bitch, I will find you. Maybe it was best if I headed home, I would make sure to plan enough time to be able to search London and still make it home before Lucy woke up. I heard the sound of footsteps approaching. I quickly slid around the building into the alley and watched. With any luck it could be the baker. My eyes widened when I saw who it was, as I could recognize his hideous face anywhere.

"There better not be any brats here?" I heard him say in his sick voice. He gripped my fist tightly. It was time to crush a beadle. "Why beadle Bamford, what a surprise," I said in mock happiness. I smirked as the ugly toned jumped and gasped. "Good sir, you startled me."

"I did sir, I could not tell," I said sarcastically." "You seem to have an unruly attitude, sir," he said, annoyed. I smirked at him and grabbed my hat. "I have more than an unruly attitude insect." "You need to watch yourself when talking to one such as me," he scolded. "Maybe it's you who should watch himself bastard," I spat.

I pulled off my hat and pulled out my razor. Once he realized who I was his eyes widened in fear. "It can't be, you can't be Todd, he is gone." "I'm back bastard, and maybe you would like to reunite with your beloved Turpin. He raised his cane in the air and tried to attack me with it. I caught it with my free hand.

We wrestled for the cane a bit, but I overpowered him and ripped the can from his grasp. Summoning all of my strength I slammed the can down on my knee and snapped it clean in half. I heard him gasp in despair as I snapped his favorite cane. "Did I break your staff," I snarled. "You bastard," he growled. Before he could do anything I grabbed his shoulder, and slammed him into the wall, pinning him to it.

He struggled against me, but Bamford was always a weakling that hid behind others. He was simply not a match for me. I placed my razor against his neck, and I heard him whimpering pathetically. "You do not deserve mercy, as you are an animal, like your precious judge used to be. It is time to die Bamford, as no one will mourn you." "I'll give you money, I'll have you pardoned, just don't kill me," he cried.

I rolled my eyes. You helped him ruin my life, and tear apart my family, and helped destroy Lucy. Say goodbye beadle, and be sure to greet the judge in hell for me. With one hard push, Bamfords body hit the ground with a thump. The beadle was crushed. I got his body into the back of the carriage.

For a second there, I thought I heard someone. But after looking around I figured it must have been an animal of some kind. I took the carriage far into the woods, and buried the beadle with the shovel I had in the carriage. I figured it was time to return home, and search for Lovett tomorrow. I know you are still in London Lovett, and I will find you I swear. (Nellie's POV.)

I was rushing back home. I was running a few errands and had someone watching Toby. I had to get home. He's back, he just killed the beadle, he was looking for me. I had heard a commotion and I saw him kill him. I was going to make sure Toby was safe.

I needed to make a plan to lure him into a trap and kill him. It was time to finish things once and for all.

Note: And the beadle is finished. Next chapter Sweeney will search for Nellie, and Nellie will be searching for him. We will also get some fluff between Sweeney and Lucy, and some mother, son goodness between Nellie and Toby as well. I plan to have Sweeney and Lovett clash twice total. I do promise you all though that this story does have an ending coming, and an epilogue as well. I hope my story does not feel like it's been dragging for too long.
