Luke just watched as Cassie walked off clearly upset about what Armando had said. He knew that it probably wasn't the best time for this, but they were shipping out soon and it didn't hurt to try.

"Real smooth. Let me see what I can do," Luke told the other men as he just got up and made his way over to Cassie. He knew that Armando clearly had lost his shot, but maybe he could fix this. Luke just made it to Cassie as he leaned up against the bar counter and waited for her to notice him.

Cassie just barely looked over as she continued to stay how she was making Luke decide that he needed to try a little harder. "Hey um I just wanted to apologize for our friend he's a bit …" Luke began as he hoped to maybe start a conversation and hopefully fix things a little bit.

Cassie just scoffed again as she barely responded. She was still upset and didn't really need another marine man trying to flirt with her. She honestly just wanted to get this night over with so she could go home and make sure that Mal was okay.

Luke sighed as he realized that this still didn't seem to be going anywhere as he knew he needed to up his game. "Uh I'm Luke by the way…" Luke began but didn't get to finish as Cassie just shook her head and closed her eyes after hearing the name. "Ugh that's great of course that's your name," Cassie told Luke as she couldn't believe the man she already knew she hated happened to have the same name as her son.

"What is wrong with my name?" Luke asked Cassie, starting to feel a bit offended by how she reacted. Cassie just shook her head as she ignored the question. "No seriously, what's wrong with my name?" Luke asked Cassie again as he started to get a little more frustrated with her just ignoring him after basically insulting his name.

"Nothing, just forget it," Cassie told Luke as she didn't feel like getting into a big fight right now and just wanted to be left alone. "Whatever, so what's your name?" Luke asked Cassie as he decided to move on knowing that he wasn't going to get anything from Cassie about his name. "Your waitress backslash bartender. Have a fun night Luke," Cassie sassily told him as she just slammed her hands down and got up.

"You know we're not all alike," Luke told Cassie finally having enough with how she was acting. This caused Cassie to immediately turn back around as she knew that despite her trying to avoid it she was going to have to fight back.

"Oh really because your friend is talking about his right to touch my ass. Which apparently you also feel entitled to," Cassie told Luke as she couldn't believe he was trying to defend their behavior when she knew exactly what they were like.

"Okay look we're just trying to blow off some steam. It's actually a pretty big night. Last night on leave. Ship off in a few weeks," Luke told Cassie hoping to get her to understand where they were coming from. It didn't seem to work though as Cassie still wasn't having any of it.

"I get it but uh still not really an excuse for casual misogyny though. You're cute and everything but…" Cassie began but didn't get to finish as Luke started laughing. "Okay, all right. I uh I get this," Luke began as he thought he understood the type of person Cassie was.

"What do you get?" Cassie asked Luke as she just waited for his response knowing that it was probably going to be something insulting and completely wrong. "You yeah. You're kinda predictable. I've uh I've met your type before," Luke told Cassie making her scoff again as she waited to see what he meant by that.

"Oh do tell," Cassie told Luke sarcastically. "Drive a Lexus that your parents paid for, but it's a hybrid, so it's okay. You probably tweet a lot about other people's rights, but when it actually comes down to fighting…" Luke began to rant off but was interrupted when Cassie finally had enough again.

Luke had no clue what her life was like and she wasn't going to take him acting this way for any longer. "Sorry it's just fascinating to me. Do you have a PhD in mansplaing?" Cassie told Luke sarcastically again causing him to just shake his head as he kept going with his rant.

"But when it actually comes down to fighting for these rights, you don't wanna do anything right? Cause guns are mean. You're a pacifist. I guess it's our job to go off and fight those battles for you. I bet you have a little "peace-dove" tattoo on your back to prove it, " Luke told Cassie in his hostile tone.

"On my ass actually. Which you can't touch, but you can kiss," Cassie told Luke before walking away as she was done with arguing. She knew that this conversation would go nowhere and she just needed to get away before anything could escalate. She still needed this job.

Not just to pay for the bills that she was falling behind on, but it was also her chance at performing. She couldn't lose that all because of a stupid argument with some guy that wasn't worth it.

"Or they'll skip right to chaotic evil," Cassie told Nora once she had gotten away from Luke. "Did you see the guy that looks like he's 12 years old? He told me that I should reconsider my stance on men, because if I marry him, I would get incredible health insurance," Nora jokingly told Cassie who just laughed as she looked over and then back at Nora.

"Health insurance? That's some dirty talk right there," Cassie playfully told Nora who laughed playing into it again. "So hot," Nora told Cassie in their playful tone, making them both laugh. They stopped though when Cassie's phone went off as she immediately knew what it was. She just quickly took her bag then went back to her car.

Cassie sighed as she wasted no time in pricking her finger with the lancet then looked at the number on the blood glucose meter. She was high again which meant that she needed to give herself some insulin. Just as Cassie was filling up the needle with the right amount of insulin she realized that she was now out of insulin making her close her eyes in panic.

"Sh*t" Cassie whispered as she knew that she was going to have to get more insulin now, but she didn't know how she was going to do that. Cassie just sighed again as she gave herself the last bit of insulin that she had left.

After Cassie had finished giving herself the insulin she just carefully disposed of the sharps and then laid back. She knew that she should probably go back to work, but she just didn't know if she could handle going back in there right now. Tonight just couldn't get any worse.

Cassie just stayed how she was for a little longer as she just tried to calm herself down. "Okay I can do this," Cassie told herself as she just started to get up, but just as she was about to go back into work, her phone started blowing up with messages and missed calls.

Cassie just froze and felt her heart start to race as she looked through her phone and saw that the messages were all from her mom. Cassie wasted no time as she just quickly answered the phone.

"Mom, is everything okay?" Cassie asked her mom as she anxiously paced back and forth right outside her car and waited worriedly for her mom to respond.

"Cassie, I don't know what happened," Marisol told Cassie, clearly upset. Cassie just closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she knew that this was going to be bad. "What's going on? Mom, you're scaring me!" Cassie cried out as she continued to feel her heart racing in fear.

"It's Mal…" Marisol began causing Cassie to almost drop her phone as she tried to take in what was being said. "What about Mal! What happened to my baby!" Cassie exclaimed as she continued to panic.
