Stargate Korr 11
After enduring a horrible month, thanks to Egeria, Korr finally had a day of peace. Following the presentation of his game that left the gaming world astounded and the technological world in shock, Korr smiled, witnessing the gamers' excited reactions to the world's first MMORPG. However, a warning signal sounded in his head, reminding him of his duties that he couldn't ignore.
"I'm busy, what the hell is going on now?" Korr snapped, his nerves on edge after a month of non-stop work without a single day of rest.
On the screen, ten people stared back at him, their brows furrowed. Korr furrowed his brow in response.
"If you want to complain, send the usual death threats. I don't have time to listen to your whining and accusations," Korr said sternly, as the urgent call was from the System Lords. Ba'al, Yu, Morrigan, Herur-ur, Camulus, Cronos, Nirrti, and others whom he didn't pay much attention to were present.
"We apologize for interrupting your busy life of thievery and shamelessness, but we're not calling to complain, despite you being a snake. This is an official meeting of the System Lords," Ba'al informed him, adding several insults to his explanation of the situation.
"If this meeting is to declare war on me, let me warn you that once I capture you, I'll torture you for a millennium for bothering me. I've had a horrible month, and if you make it worse, you'll pay for it," Korr threatened.
"Calm down, we don't hold System Lord meetings to abuse the weak, no matter how dishonorable their stealth actions may be. They are merely petty tricks not worth mentioning," Morrigan said disdainfully.
Korr raised an eyebrow. If they weren't calling to complain or declare war, he didn't know why these guys would gather for a meeting.
"The Tau'ri have attacked several facilities of various System Lords. There are also indications that they've been involved in the downfall of Apophis and some minor Goa'uld lords, as well as their cooperation with the Tok'ra," Ba'al explained.
"The Tau'ri have become a threat and a nuisance!" Yu declared.
"For all these reasons, we are voting on sending our forces to their planet and destroy them," Nirrti explained.
"The Tau'ri are on the other side of the galaxy. I haven't even seen them in my territories. What do you want from me?" Korr asked.
"That you contribute five ha'taks to the forces of the System Lords, then maybe we'll forget your recent lack of honor," Ba'al said boldly.
Yu nodded, and given his track record, he might be serious about the honor part. In the original series, Yu was as sick as the other Goa'uld, but unlike Ba'al and others, Yu was honorable and kept his word. Well, he wasn't a knight in shining armor, but within the Goa'uld circle, Yu was respectable.
"I'll give you ten ha'taks, but they won't be manned and won't have any upgrades. If your intention was to have me share the method of stabilizing naquadriah, forget about it," Korr declared. He had already made arrangements to share the method of stabilizing naquadriah, and he wasn't going to change that. His original plan was also more efficient.
"Ten ha'taks?" Nirrti asked, her eyes gleaming with greed and amazement.
"Yes, ten ha'taks. As you must already know, I've relocated the human populations of my worlds, concentrating them on a few planets, which leaves me with a large personal fleet of over fifty ha'taks. So, don't get any foolish ideas, or I'll destroy you," Korr threatened.
"Your foolishness will cost you your head. Humans exist to be our slaves, and if you let them forget that fact, you'll soon be buried by an army of savages," warned Cronos, who wore the same elderly look as in the series, which Korr found unpleasant.
"My servants worship me, while yours only kneel because they are malnourished and too weak to do anything else but crawl. Between you and me, I believe your lot is more likely to be overrun by an angry mob one of these days," Korr warned. "Furthermore, I've heard that the Jaffa are spreading rumors that you are false gods," he added.
"Silly rumors!" Camulus dismissed.
"You're allowing your 'servants' to use our technology, and your populist tactics may cost us all dearly if they get hold of the fleet you boast about," Yu accused.
"My technology is protected and monitored at all times. No human or Jaffa interferes in its creation. But what about yours? You use Jaffa slaves to build Ha'taks. Do you think if I asked those Jaffa to build a Ha'tak with the things they use daily, they could do it? What about weapons and armor? Do you think they couldn't create those if they had your factories in their hands?
"Taking all this into account, who are the ones endangering the Goa'uld, between you and me?" Korr asked coldly.
Korr received disdainful looks; the Goa'uld believed that the Jaffa's loyalty would last forever and nothing could make them falter. The only ones who seemed to contemplate the situation were Ba'al and Morrigan, both born conspirators. Through experience, they knew that sometimes the weak were the most dangerous.
"We're not here to discuss nonsense. The System Lords accept your peace offering. Now, let's get to the point," grumbled Cronos.
"I vote against; I have no interest in the Tau'ri," Korr interjected.
"I vote in favor; the Tau'ri have intruded into my territories several times," Nirrti declared.
"I vote in favor; we cannot ignore an ally of the Tok'ra," said Cronos.
The rest of the System Lords gave a positive vote, and in the end, Yu scolded Korr for being a lazy young man with no vision for the future.
Korr hung up and grimaced. He had no idea how the System Lords had arrived so quickly at an intervention against Earth. Moreover, he had kidnapped Hathor and other nuisances to keep the System Lords from becoming interested in Earth for the time being.
Korr opened his reports on Earth to figure out what the heck those Goa'uld incursions were all about and why the timeline was advancing instead of slowing down. He hoped that Thor was aware of this because if he was just scratching his balls, Earth would be in serious trouble.
Perhaps he needed to build an Ancient base to replace the one he destroyed, allowing him to defend Earth without the System Lords finding out and declaring war, ending his days of peace and forcing him to take on many responsibilities he didn't want.
Korr read the latest report on the SGC. They had just encountered the Reetou, and 00 had taken care of it, but Korr had been occupied with the disaster caused by Egeria for a month and hadn't kept track of what was happening on Earth.
Korr knew it was too soon, as it had been over two years since the Goa'uld became interested in Earth's operations in the SGC. He remembered it happening after the end of season two, after SG-1 encountered Hathor, who was now sleeping in his cargo hold and couldn't kidnap anyone to ask silly questions or make up absurd stories.
Korr found no reports of incursions on Goa'uld planets by the SGC, so he contacted 00 and requested a report on the matter.
"Greetings, Creator. The reports you're looking for aren't on the SGC's computer but on the NID's," 00 informed him.
"Thank you, 00," Korr said and closed the SGC reports to open those from the NID.
…
After a few minutes, Korr wondered if Maybourne was a technology kleptomaniac. He had stolen entire weapon depots, Goa'uld factories, and even a Ha'tak and a naquadah refinery without leaving a single scrap behind.
When the Goa'uld arrived at the locations to investigate what had happened, all they found was a desert and some holes in the ground, as even the floor plates had been taken.
According to the reports, the locations were provided by the Tok'ra in exchange for the lie detector artifact that, in the original history, had been invented by them. Maybourne had also managed to have the Tok'ra make copies of the technology he had given them.
Korr wasn't worried about this because all the technology he had given to the NID was of Goa'uld level, or it would be if the Goa'uld did something other than praise themselves. Korr checked again because he had also provided them with stealth technology, but it was not mentioned anywhere. It seemed that Maybourne didn't think it would be useful in the negotiation since the Goa'uld already used such technology, although rarely.
According to the reports, the NID's strategy to steal a naquadah refinery guarded by a Ha'tak, without causing any commotion, was to impersonate Ba'al, the owner of the refinery, using transformation technology and information provided by the Tok'ra about his appearance. They entered pretending to be Ba'al and a group of his Jaffa guards, took control of the Ha'tak's bridge, and then sent three battalions through the Stargate to clear out the Jaffa guards protecting the installations.
This was a strategy that Korr himself had taught them because all the controls of a Ha'tak were on its bridge, so controlling it meant that the Jaffa on board were left to die, helpless.
After eliminating the Jaffa defenders and securing the slaves, the NID took everything, even the dead Jaffa, just in case Ba'al decided to revive one of them to question what had happened. They even excavated the area to ensure there were no bullet impacts. This was their approach in all the places they robbed.
That meant the Goa'uld had no evidence that it was the Tau'ri who had done it. They also had no proof of them being allied with the Tok'ra, but Ba'al wasn't a fool, and after finding a desert full of holes instead of his refinery, he deduced that the Tok'ra had been involved. However, the Tok'ra were spies, not warriors, so Ba'al put two and two together and, considering the recent reputation of the Tau'ri for fearlessly challenging the Goa'uld, he imagined it was them and accused them to the System Lords, to save himself the trouble and in case the Tau'ri proved to be a dangerous enemy, he wouldn't suffer any losses.
Since the Tau'ri had attacked several System Lords, they were outraged, and a fleet of System Lords was now heading towards Earth. It would take them a few more months to arrive, but the attack was already decided. The motive was different, but the story was the same.
Korr bit his lips. He had three options. The first was to let Earth defend itself with three Ha'taks against the fleet of the System Lords, which would be at least fifteen Ha'taks. In theory, Earth could win because their Ha'taks had technological superiority and were faster, able to attack and retreat, but millions would die, and it would only be a delay, as the System Lords would return with hundreds of ships. It would also be revealed that he had given technology to Earth, and they would declare war on him.
Another option was to build a fake Alteran outpost and fill it with probes, so Earth could defend itself, but that would put Earth in the spotlight, and any slip-up would lead the Goa'uld to cause some disaster, as there would be holes in the defense all around. A Goa'uld cargo ship with active cloaking and a payload of naquadah bombs could blow the base into the stratosphere.
In the original history, the Goa'uld had already shown themselves to be persistent and cunning, destroying races whose defenses were theoretically meant to protect them, like the Tollan, who nearly disappeared in the first attempted destruction orchestrated by Apophis and fell to the second attempt, which was Anubis's work, although the latter was due to his improved shields.
Finally, there was the best option, which was for Thor to intervene and negotiate the inclusion of Earth on the list of protected planets, but Korr didn't know how to contact the little grey dwarf.
He knew where Thor's ship was thanks to his satellite network, but if he approached him to warn him about the impending attack on Earth, many of his plans would crumble.
"Damn, that little grey dwarf is useless," Korr thought with concern, and continued pondering alternatives to deal with this problem. He still had a few months to find a solution, so he didn't feel rushed, and he sent the ships he had promised to the System Lords.
…
A week later, Korr received an alert signal indicating that the Stargate on the planet where Thor's ship was stationed was opening, and a few seconds later, the ship in orbit entered hyperspace. Korr breathed a sigh of relief as he saw that it was heading to the meeting site of the System Lords' fleet, which was a couple of months away from Earth.
Half an hour later, Thor appeared before the System Lords' fleet, which hadn't even had time to gather their forces, and demanded to negotiate the inclusion of Earth on the list of protected planets. The Goa'uld in charge, who had fifteen Ha'taks under his command, let power get to his head and told Thor to go to hell with the customary "I am a god" speech. In response, Thor vaporized him and his ship, speaking to the next in command and demanding negotiation. The Asgard took their theatrics of superiority to the extreme, but their ships had energy sources far superior to those of the Goa'uld, allowing them to employ such strategies almost effortlessly.
Korr sighed with relief, and after making a call to 00 to watch over the negotiations and ensure everything went according to plan so he wouldn't have to get involved, Korr returned to reviewing his video game presentation, cursing the System Lords, the Tok'ra, and Egeria for not ceasing to bother and disrupt his plans.
Korr still needed to obtain one of the most broken technologies in the original history, and he couldn't allow a war to ruin his plans. He hoped the Tok'ra would find the Atanik bracelets so he could study their technology. Their creators had gone extinct due to their lack of intelligence, but that didn't mean they were useless because what mattered was not the virus used but its effects. If Korr could replicate the effects of the virus, he would use nanites to take its place, and as the body couldn't develop defenses against them, all those superabilities would be permanent. That's why Atanik bracelets were one of the most broken technologies in the original history and something he couldn't ignore.
…
"Maybourne, I believe I heard you say before that your thefts from the Goa'uld would have no consequences for Earth. 'It's an absolute secret, we've swept away all the evidence, there's no way they can link us to these, a perfect plan, without flaws,'" Jack said mockingly.
They were in General Hammond's briefing room, in a meeting attended by Daniel and his team after Thor arrived and warned them that the Goa'uld would attack if they couldn't negotiate a treaty. It was all a consequence of Colonel Maybourne's thefts, which also made Daniel feel annoyed because they had warned him many times.
"The NID operations were ultra-secret, we left no traces, it's impossible for the Goa'uld to link us to these, they're making it all up," Maybourne excused himself without accepting responsibility.
"Really? Is your argument that the Goa'uld need evidence to accuse us of anything? Maybourne, those snakes kill anyone who looks at them funny. Where did you get the idea that they needed evidence to accuse us?" Jack scolded with frustration.
"I didn't hear them complaining when they were planning space travel with the fuel we now have thanks to the NID. Nor about a new Ha'tak or the weapons factory," Maybourne accused.
Sam cleared her throat, as the scientific team was the one that benefited the most from the Naquadah to Naquadriah refining technology and the one used in weapons manufacturing. They had also acquired computers and precision tools that would assist in any advanced technology construction projects, and they were already discussing building Goa'uld computers. Needless to say, all the complaints from the scientific team ceased when they had all that technology in their hands, and some of them even helped plan the next thefts, leading things to spiral out of control.
"Maybourne, we are not Goa'uld. You need evidence to launch accusations," Jack intervened boldly.
"Regardless, gentlemen, we have benefited from these attacks against the Goa'uld, and anyway, this attack would have come sooner or later, it was inevitable, and the reason for this project. Besides, now we have an exit to this problem, and we should focus on it, to ensure that everything goes in the best way for this planet," General Hammond intervened with a resigned tone, looking at Jack, who the Asgard had chosen to represent Earth in the negotiations, leaving everyone involved in this matter somewhat concerned.
Daniel had to admit he was very worried, and that's why he accused Maybourne.
"We can't do anything now, Thor said the decision was irreversible," Sam said. Daniel sighed in defeat.
"We can always declare war and steal all their ships before they reach Earth. We'd start with the closest ones; it was so easy to steal the last one; I don't think we'll have problems with the rest," Jack proposed, also not trusting his diplomatic skills.
"It's not entirely far-fetched. We have an overwhelmingly strategic superiority in terms of speed, and with the infiltration technology that the NID has, we would have access to the bridge without much trouble. As long as we leave no witnesses, the Goa'uld won't know our strategy," reasoned Sam.
"According to our allies' information, the Goa'uld have hundreds of ships, at least over a thousand right now, spread between the System Lords and their lesser Goa'uld vassals. They have several shipyards and can build two to five Ha'taks per year. However, Ra prohibited the creation of Ha'taks beyond those necessary to maintain Goa'uld superiority in the galaxy, and only since it was revealed that he was dead, the System Lords have resumed building Ha'taks to contend with other System Lords.
"For all these reasons, this plan is viable; however, we would need more fuel refineries, more personnel, and also the disclosure of the Stargate project by getting involved in a total war," General Hammond explained.
In summary, they couldn't initiate a secret war with the Goa'uld, which would mean that the military and their country's government could lose a significant part of the project and its benefits. It wasn't exactly General Hammond's words, but Daniel understood the underlying meaning.
"What do we know about the snakes that will visit us?" Jack asked.
…
04 woke up in his large bed with silk sheets, embracing a couple of ebony beauties who cuddled against his chest. "What a waste of space," 04 thought, and attracted two more beauties who laughed as he reached for them and pulled them into his arms, tickling them. After playing with them for a while, 04 attracted a pair of blondes, then a pair of brunettes, a pair of redheads, some Asian beauties, and finally a couple of brunettes who were nearby.
When 04 got up from his fifteen-meter-wide bed, where more than twenty beauties lay, it was already noon. 04 regretted missing his breakfast, but lunch would have to do.
04 went to a mirror in the room to assess his current state and see if he was presentable. In the mirror, he saw a 1.90-meter-tall man with dark skin, an inverted triangle face, brown eyes with golden reflections, short brown hair, and loose white clothing. 04 nodded, everything was perfect. He had changed his skin color and features when assigned to this mission, to better fit in with his servants, but that didn't bother him.
04 used a bell to summon the butler of his palace and order lunch. He then called more beauties to help him bathe and take care of cleaning his body.
When the bath was over, it was already one o'clock in the afternoon, and his food was ready. 04 was a replicator, and that meant he didn't need to eat, but he also had a nervous system that included a taste system and taste buds; not using them would be a waste, so he deemed it necessary to order some delicacies and savor them with his favorite lovers. After finishing his meal, 04 took a break to watch a movie and then enjoy a relaxing massage.
When the massage was over, 04 stretched, put on his formal suit, and transported himself to his office on the fourth floor of his palace. As it was already four in the afternoon, 04 wasted no time and opened all the reports about the project assigned to him by Korr, quickly providing solutions to all the problems presented, disposing of the more insidious ones in his suspended animation chamber and allocating resources where needed. He had already begun strategic industrialization across the continent, addressing regional needs, but it would take a year to start generating resources, and for now, Korr covered all the expenses as they were insignificant for them.
After finishing his administrative tasks and seeing that everything was going according to plan, 04 closed his reports and looked at the time, surprised that it was already five in the afternoon.
"I'm working too hard!" 04 exclaimed, shaking his head with regret.
It was almost evening, and he was still at work. It felt like being a slave; he needed to delegate more tasks, or he could suffer some collateral damage from overexertion. 04 wasn't accustomed to playing with his health, whether mental or physical, so he called his secretary.
A few seconds later, a man of 1.75 meters, dark-skinned, with average features, wearing a formal suit and holding a folder in his hands, appeared before him. 04 noticed that the man had terrible dark circles under his eyes and looked a bit worn out.
"Number 86, you don't look well; you should eat all your meals on time," 04 advised.
"Sir, please, I need rest; I haven't slept in three days," Number 86 pleaded. 04 shook his head to indicate his disappointment.
"Number 86, people must push themselves to the limit to achieve their goals. Before that, any rest is detrimental. Besides, you've rested quite well in your previous life, and just as you didn't complain back then, now you must show the same resolve," 04 advised to encourage his servant.
In reality, Number 86 was a slave, but 04 was a person of high moral values; he wouldn't call anyone a slave. Number 86's eyes turned red, and he seemed like he wanted to cry.
04 thought that perhaps he should help him. Besides, he couldn't have his employees wandering around looking like zombies; they might scare away his lovers. 04 approached and inserted his hand into Number 86's skin, who trembled in horror. Ignoring his reaction, 04 injected a stream of bionanites into his body. Then he stepped back and nodded in satisfaction as Number 86 recovered from his dark circles and worn-out state. 04 patted him on the shoulder.
"Excellent. Now, you won't bother me with complaints, and your work will be more efficient. I'll also improve the others; there's too much to do. Let's get to work because it's five in the afternoon, and I'm still in this office, which means I work too much. So, I've decided to delegate some of my functions to you. And now that you won't need to sleep, rest, or eat, I believe you won't complain about a lack of time," 04 explained, and Number 86 burst into tears, begging him to please kill him.
04 ordered the bionanites to release some antidepressants into his brain and proceeded to explain his new tasks.
…
A few minutes later, 04 left his private office and went to the public wing, where the media he had created himself awaited to congratulate him on guiding their political and military leaders. After talking to him only once, miraculously, they saw the light and committed to peace and the development of the entire continent, sitting down to negotiate and work without any rest.
Because of this, 04 was the greatest hero of this continent, and his philosophy of living life without worries and grudges was the most popular. He was the African dream.
Of course, 04 was a humble god, and these things wouldn't get to his head. He bid farewell to his worshippers and went out for a ride in his Ferrari. Later, accompanied by some beauties, he went to the cinema and visited some places of interest. He returned around midnight, preparing for a night of entertainment when a message from 00 arrived.
…
After finishing reading, 04 jumped out of bed like a spring and hurried to connect his mind to his bionave hidden in orbit, sending an alarm signal about the presence of an Asgard ship, confirming everything mentioned in 00's message.
The Earth's inhabitants had been stealing from the Goa'uld, and despite having no proof of it, the Goa'uld had gathered their fleet to attack them, leading the Asgard to intervene, and negotiations were underway to decide the Earth's fate.
If the negotiations failed, there would be a war, and that did not suit Korr's plans, so he asked 00 to monitor everything and ensure that everything went well.
04 was alarmed. If something went wrong in this negotiation, the Goa'uld would declare war, and his days of pleasure and idleness… Korr's plans would be ruined.
04 decided that he couldn't leave everything to 00; he decided to personally monitor the whole matter. Under no circumstances could there be a war; if he had to put the Goa'uld in the bodega and replace them with his own henchmen, he wouldn't hesitate to do so. After all, he had plenty of slaves… Servants.
…
"Maybourne, open your mouth, and I'll shoot you myself!" threatened Jack.
Daniel could only sigh. They had narrowly escaped a galactic war with a species that outnumbered them a million to one, and Earth was on the brink of being bombarded, but the NID never learned their lesson, and by the look on Maybourne's face, they had another plan that would risk the lives of billions of people who didn't even know they were involved.
"Colonel O'Neill, calm down," ordered General Hammond, but his tone was one of helplessness. "Colonel Maybourne, what does the NID plan now?" he asked.
Now their team and Maybourne were in General Hammond's office, and Jack followed Maybourne as soon as he saw him heading there, which was never good news.
"Calm down, the NID has already stopped the incursions on the Goa'uld because we've realized our mistake," Maybourne admitted. Jack growled because he knew there was more to it, and Maybourne didn't contradict him. "That's why we've modified our plans to something less ambitious and more noticeable. Our previous mistake was stealing too much."
"The Goa'uld conquer worlds and rob planets; they don't usually steal things and leave territory behind, that would make them look weak, so our incursions were suspicious. That's why now we'll make smaller raids and leave behind evidence of an incursion with the signature of some System Lord. They will deny everything, but they always do the same thing, so no one will suspect us. Our infiltration wing is already preparing our disguises."
"Our plan is to strike, strictly steal what's necessary, leave some witnesses, and then retreat, promising to return. Then we go to the territories of another Lord and attack in retaliation, causing more conflicts between the System Lords, which benefits us in the long run. With this plan, we may not be able to obtain more ships, at least not Ha'taks, but we can get many resources considering the number of Goa'uld worlds," Maybourne concluded.
"And the President has given the green light to this plan," General Hammond said with dismay. Maybourne just nodded. Daniel could only sigh.
"Guys, in the last few days, we were on the verge of losing millions of lives. We were saved thanks to the Asgard's intervention, but if we don't do our part, one day the Asgard won't arrive in time, and we'll be an easy prey."
"Just as we can't cancel the Stargate project for exploring other worlds, we also can't stop obtaining resources to create the weapons we now need, especially having the necessary infrastructure to do so," Maybourne encouraged with a just tone.
Jack brought his hand to his face because he had been in charge of the previous negotiation with the Goa'uld, and the entire weight of Earth's security was on his shoulders.
"Sam, with the facilities on the base planet, we already have shipyards and foundries. We've also installed our own refinery; now we just need resources," Sam said. Maybourne hurriedly nodded. Jack made a grimace.
"Sam, Maybourne's plans got us into trouble before," Daniel reminded her.
—Colonel O'Neill, Daniel Jackson, I'm afraid I must agree with Colonel Maybourne this time. We have good allies, but in the end, it's Earth that must take a stand against the Goa'uld. There can't be a peaceful relationship with them; every species that has tried has disappeared," said Teal'c with a formal tone.
Teal'c would agree to prepare for war, and Sam got excited whenever advanced technology was mentioned, just like the scientific team on the base planet, which is what they had named the planet their allies helped them reclaim from a species of bugs that inhabited it.
The technology of the inhabitants of this planet was a hundred years beyond their own, and they already had far superior space technology, shipyards, foundries, and all kinds of factories and facilities that they could easily adapt or use without problems after a month of study. And at the moment, all of this was destined for military production because their president was desperate to get weapons to defend against the Goa'uld threat and to tell the people that they had hope and not all was lost, if the Stargate project were to be disclosed.
Daniel gave up. Even among his team, there were followers of Maybourne's plans, so he didn't expect the president to listen to any reports against it.
The NID would continue stealing, and the Tok'ra wouldn't refuse to create chaos among the Goa'uld, so information would continue to pass.
…
Korr breathed a sigh of relief as he received the report from 00 about Earth's negotiation with the Goa'uld. It seemed that everything had gone as in the original history: Nirrti attacked Cronos and was discovered, so the negotiation came to an end when the Goa'uld lords, annoyed and fed up, decided to leave the humans in peace.
In any case, none of them were sure that Ba'al, well known for being a deceiver, wasn't stealing from them and then blaming the Tau'ri to divert suspicion away from him. As the Tau'ri denied any aggression, it was their word against Ba'al's.
Lastly, what perhaps weighed most in favor of the humans was that Nirrti broke the rules of the meeting by attacking one of the guests and trying to blame another. The Goa'uld feared that the Asgard would use this as an excuse to declare war on them, so they hastened to concede, even making concessions like leaving them the Stargate.
In Korr's opinion, Thor was an epic troll. He had spent millennia trolling the Goa'uld and threatening them with a fleet he didn't have. He also used every situation he could to his advantage because just like him, there was no way Thor didn't know that it was Nirrti who attacked Cronos.
The reason he didn't say anything was that he wanted the Goa'uld to show their arrogant nature and get themselves neck-deep in their own mess. Once they were so involved that they couldn't back down, everything was revealed, and the humans gained the best benefits. And that wasn't the only occasion when Thor showed he enjoyed trolling people.
In the original history, his most epic troll was when the Stargate project was disclosed to the ambassadors of a select group of powers, and Senator Kinsey dared to show arrogance in front of him. The little gray being was a humble and simple person, but he was also clever, and he didn't hesitate to administer justice.
…
"Excellent!" said Korr, who was euphoric, not because of the success of the negotiation on Earth, but because the presentation of his improved shaiya had caused an impact worldwide, and the company was receiving numerous requests globally to open servers in several countries.
On the other hand, gamers around the world started protests to demand that they be sold a twelfth-generation computer to be able to play the game when it was released in six months, one month after several computer companies announced the launch of their new product line.
Korr had intervened in all this technological development, first by releasing information about the hardware and then selling the software to the companies in charge of it. He had also offered to enhance all the upcoming games, whether for consoles or PCs, to adapt them to the new generation, in exchange for one percent of the profits from the sales of each of these games. This would bring astronomical benefits to his own company, making him a magnate on Earth.
Korr nodded with satisfaction to himself and continued reading reports about his video game company.
Note 1: Hello everyone, I have re-uploaded chapter two to add a section with some clarifications and a new method for capturing Atlantis, using the time machine, as well as making clarifications about the method used to capture the Asuran city, as there were some misunderstandings about the replicators he created and the method used. The capture of the Asura planet has not changed, nor has the method used, only that of Atlantis.
Note 2: For those who want to read it, the section begins just when Korr arrives at Atlantis and ends when the attack on the Asuran planet begins. There are clarifications at the end of the chapter in the author's notes. This section does not affect the story in any way or change the plot; it's just a different way of taking Atlantis, and something more spectacular, as it involves time travel and canon about it.
Note 3: With this chapter, we have now covered the second season and reached the third. As you can see, we are still at the beginning of the story, and Korr still hasn't found a decent rival. So far, his biggest problems were with Egeria. In the next chapter, we will see the arrival of the replicators and Thor.
