I crept to the kitchen, hoping there was chocolate in the cabinets or something. Why can't magic accomplish that actually?
Can it?
Oh Jesus, who knows?
"Hey, Via." A familiar voice greeted me.
"Hey, Theo." I greeted back, pulling my hair out of the messy bun.
Look good, Via, look good.
"It's one. What're you doing up?" He asked, a look of concern on his face.
"I could ask you the same," I said re-directing.
"Anxiety. You?" He asked, taking a seat on the slab, near the sink.
"Oh," I said, thinking. Mental diseases. Lowkey relatable, man, "Periods."
"There isn't any chocolate here. I have some candy if you'd like," He jumped off the slab and led me to his room.
I sat on his bed, which was so f-king soft oh Merlin.
Not me having an orgasm on how soft a bed is lmao.
Ah, this is what is wrong with our generation.
"Catch," he said tossing a packet of gummies.
I caught it because I've been practising and need to make it on the quidditch team this year at least.
"Say, Via," Theo said, sitting on the floor in front of me as I tore the packet open, "The quidditch team. You trying out for Gryffindor?"
"Well, of course, I am. I didn't get in last year because ADHD and seeking do not go well, this year, I'm going to try being a chaser because… playing catch is fun." I said, offering him a gummy.
He took one and ate it. The silence made me want to squirm.
"I mean I might be better at being a beater. The sight of me throwing around bulgers at people is too great in my imagination," I said, doing what I do best, talking.
"Cool," he replied taking in my over hyper conversation. Yep, I'm an idiot. "Mind teaching me tomorrow then?" He asked.
Oh. I popped a gummy bear in my mouth.
"Yeah sure. You've never flown before?" I asked. Living without flying seemed like an unnecessary torture to me.
"I attempted. I have a record of…" he paused, "wait I have it written somewhere," he said getting up and riffling through his trunk. He flipped through a notebook before exclaiming, "Ah hah! A record of 42 second of staying up in the air for forty-two point three seconds, before bumping into a wall and falling on my butt." He nodded, cringing at the memory.
I smiled.
"Oh, Ace even took a video. What are siblings for? Useless little cretins. Especially the youngest ones." He said, scrunching his nose.
"Hey!" I exclaimed, throwing a gummy bear at him, "I am the youngest sibling."
He laughed and held up the gummy bear and said, "This only proves my point," and then popped it into his mouth.
I rolled my eyes.
I ate a gummy bear, chewing it, and staring around his room pensively.
Mattheo walked behind me over to the bed where the pillows were.
Oh, he does not want to do this.
He'll see hell unleashed today.
Mattheo's POV
Merlin, that girl knows how to yield a pillow. Damn. I breathed heavily, trying to catch my breath.
Via is laughing, lying on my bed next to me, her red hair spread out.
I weakly throw a pillow on her face.
"Jesus that was exhausting as fuck." She said smacking my stomach with the pillow, sighing.
I smiled.
It was a wonderful day.
I hadn't met anyone who believed I was evil because my dad was. And, if the Potters weren't going to have a problem with me, who would?
Huh. I am an optimistic person.
"It's like four am," I heard her say, but I was a little too in heaven to comprehend. "Good night, Mattheo," she said, getting up. She walked, almost having exited my room, when I exclaimed.
"Wait up!" I said stopping her. I hopped out of bed and grabbed liquorice from my drawer. I handed it to her.
She looked at me and then at Liquorice. She leapt, and hugged me singing, "Thank you!"
I was very taken aback.
I awkwardly patted her. She released me and said, "Night, Mattheo."
She planted a kiss on my cheek, as red as a tomato.
I probably wasn't doing much better either. I probably looked like I had a very angry sunburn.
"Night, Via." I wished back, a little dreamily.
A/N
Hey. Sorry for the late update. It's probably going to be like this since I'm still moving and trying to catch up on *checks list* eight different assignments and weekly tests which make up 30% of our score grade. So yeah.
Thanks for reading!
