Chapter 17
Before Izuku could return home he had to go back to the military training centre. At first they believed that his quirk was being held back by his emotions and the brainwashing made his emotional state flat giving a boost but upon examining the last test recording they found everytime he destroyed a machine his strength increased. They tested this by having Izuku destroy a fake building inside the testing centre once it was rubble. Izuku's strength drastically increased temporarily. His strength reduced again after 30 minutes and his arms had torn muscles for a few seconds until his healing fixed his body. They found all his abilities increased as he destroyed more stuff. They theorised that if he destroyed enough he would become temporarily indestructible and unkillable.
They decided to test Izuku with his quirk inhibitors on. The results found that without his quirk he was still strong able to lift the same amount as when his quirk was on but his regeneration and his strength increase both disappeared. One of the more surprising results was Izuku's reaction when he was touched by a person. The boy nearly cried "it's so much warmer" he said, they then realised the boy has had actual human contact since Eraserhead erased his quirk when he was 10 but hadn't had human contact before that possibly ever.
Doctor Shiba immediately gave Izuku a hug that made him start to cry.
After all the testing Izuku was taken to the funerals for both his father and Knuckleduster, his mentor.
Izuku remembered nearly everything whilst brainwashed. He also kept having flashbacks of what he did.
Izuku stood looking over his mentor's grave "I'm sorry sensei" Izuku stood watching the grave for hours "I thought of you as a father to" Izuku said before he walked away as he left he met a woman with an eye patch. It was Tamao Oguro, his mentor's daughter. "I'm sor…" Izuku was cut off by a hug "he loved you as much as he did me and I know even if he knew what would happen he'd do it all over again" the two stayed in each other's embrace for a while until Tamao seperated and made her way to the grave. Izuku left the graveyard after placing his remaining flower on his father's grave.
Izuku was back home by the end of the week his mother was informed of what had happened. His father's will had been read, his estates in America would be sold and all money he had would be left to Inko then released to Izuku when he turned 18. Charlie wouldn't come to their home permanently for a month until the paperwork could be completed.
He and his mom had spent the week with Mitsuki and Doctor Shiba. They were grieving. They had a number of people pass by to give their condolences and a few pro heroes such as Fatgum, Ingenium and Crawler came to the house and shared stories with Izuku about his mentor. He'd heard most of them before. Eventually it was time to go to school. His parents and he decided several months prior to place him in Aldera Junior High.
They had decided to send Izuku to a cheaper Junior high so they could afford to send Izuku to Shiketsu, Ketsubutsu or UA. Izuku had a recommendation for Shiketsu and may be getting one for Ketsubutsu from Fatgum. UA was his dream school. But would they take him after what they did?
Izuku was walking into the school and he got the usual stares. Izuku was used to it; his size was unusual even in a world of superpowers. His uniform was uncomfortable, too tight and his tie was too small for someone his size, one size fits all doesn't work when you're 10 feet tall.
Izuku could feel the glares he received from the staff at the school. He knew they were probably due to his actions at the Naruhata incident. People generally accepted that he was a victim of the attacks after the true villain was caught but there were still many who blamed the greenette.
Izuku also noticed the teachers were staring at another boy, a ginger and blond haired boy. The boy received the sneers of the students at the school and from that Izuku learned the boy was quirkless. Izuku was going to go to speak with the boy but the 5 minute warning alarm made him realise he needed to get to class.
As Izuku entered the class the boy followed up on seeing who was sitting in the centre of the class. Izuku thought the boy verbalised "Shit". In the centre of the class sat Katsuki Bakugo both knew the next few years would suck.
