.-.

Goku was glad, he supposed. He didn't really get why so many people were making such a big deal out of this, but people were just like that sometimes.

Gohan seemed worried about going back to school, but that must have gone well too. He didn't hear any problems about it at least. Not that he usually heard of much that happened there.

Chichi was still being kinda weird about it though. He didn't really get why. What did it actually change? A few words had to be switched around sometimes but it's not like that was hard to do.

Eventually, Chichi had asked him. "Goku, why have you had no reaction to any of this?"

Goku glanced over as he pulled on his shirt. "I just don't get what the big deal is."

"No. Not just now. Initially too. You didn't seem surprised at all."

"Oh." Goku tied his belt. "I think I already knew."

"What!?"

Goku's head shot up. Oh, she sounded angry. That probably wasn't a good thing to say.

"Only for a few days!" He quickly added. That cooled some of her anger, but her glare still demanded an explanation.

"It was just something I heard during the final battle with Majin Buu. Vegeta and I had gotten Cargo angry, and I felt bad for it, but he had called Gohan a she instead of a he.

"At first I just kinda thought I'd misheard, Vegeta didn't say anything about it so I wasn't sure. Or it could have been a mistake, or just anger making him mix things up. But then I couldn't remember the last time I'd heard Piccolo call Gohan by either of them. And, then I remembered something from the hyperbolic time chamber, back from when we were training for Cell.

"I thought it was weird in the moment, but moved passed it. Gohan was really stressed you know? And, she, was wearing herself pretty thin with all the training. I was trying to tell her to take a break and called her son, and she, got really upset. I don't think she was really thinking about it, she just snapped at me not to call her that. And I haven't since then! And, I did think it was kinda weird back then, but I never really thought about it."

Huh, it was kinda difficult to always remember to switch out the words right. Well, he'd have to get used to it now wouldn't he?

He'd finished up his morning stretches as he spoke and then moved to pull on his boots.

"Hey Goku. Get over here."

Goku looked up at the familiar voice.

"King Kai?" He asked out loud, even though he technically didn't have to. King Kai should be able to hear it if he just thought really loudly, but it feels more real to say it.

"Yes, obviously. Now get over here. The Supreme Kai wants to talk to you."

"Supreme Kai does? Huh. Ok, on my way!"

He raised his hand for instant transmission, and just barely heard Chichi's protests as he left.

Oh, oops. He probably should have explained first. He'll have to apologize later. Oh well.

He wondered what Supreme Kai could want. Maybe it had something to do with those earrings again. Or maybe something happened?

I tossed up the capsule containing my new prize. It definitely had a noticeable weight to it, but not nearly as bad as trying to carry the sword by itself.

Also, really making it clear again that I have no idea how capsules work. Never really thought about how they make cars accessible for just, normal people to carry around.

Along with it, Bulma had handed me my new suit, Already syncing it up to the watch to be able to switch outfits whenever.

And, while I still felt out of place at the school, it wasn't as bad as it'd been before. It was still a bit awkward, but as far as things went, it could have been worse. And it's not like I went out of my way to socialize anyway, so what difference did it make?

Even the teachers seemed too thrown off by the new consensus to question it. A bunch of students were even blaming the homeroom teacher for the "misconception" because of how he introduced me.

It felt weird but like, I'd also made things easier so I wasn't gonna argue.

It was easy to fall back into the monotony of school. Half listening to the classes as I doodled on the edges of papers.

The teacher had opened one of the windows to let the light gusts flow into the classroom.

It was a nice day, all things considered.

I was content just sitting there drawing random patterns or characters in the corners.

I felt something at the corner of my senses. I turned my head to look.

I barely had time to react, simultaneously leaving my seat, pushing the button on my watch, and rushing out the window. The actions were surely not visible by any human eye, even if they'd had time to process the next few moments.

My coat was still materializing behind me as I blocked a Ki blast, the glass shattering behind me from the kickback. My hair had sparked blonde almost without my input.

I let out a breath. Adrenaline burned through my veins, more so due to my having to react so quickly than the attack itself. The blast didn't even hurt, but if it'd hit the building, well I doubt it'd kill everyone but there definitely wouldn't be a full classroom leaving.

I took a moment to glance back. The classroom was in chaos. If my absence was noticed it'd be easy to dismiss.

Videl rushed toward the window. I narrowed my eyes.

"No." Is all I said once she got within earshot. I wasn't sure what was going on yet, but it was certainly out of her current abilities.

"I can help! I-"

"Videl."

She paused midstep.

"I can-" Videl looked conflicted, almost desperate. I almost felt bad. "I can, make sure everyone evacuates safely."

I nodded, glad that much was over. That it didn't turn into a bigger argument.

With that done, I turned back to the perpetrator.

It wasn't someone I recognized. But I did recognize the uniform. But even then, the Frieza force armor wasn't even the most interesting detail.

"You've got a little something," I pointed above my head as if to indicate something towards something above their head, "Are you already dead? What- actually how are you here?"

Because above the soldier's head hovered a golden ring, something that indicates the dead in this universe.

The soldier scoffed. "That doesn't matter. I'm under strict orders to eliminate the strongest power level in the vicinity." He pointed at his scouter as he said that.

"What was me," I deduced. My default resting power level was still a few thousand. To get it lower I either had to be asleep or consciously suppressing it. The only other person who might have been in the comparable area was Krillin, and his resting power was still lower.

"Hey why don't you run that number again," I suggested, assuming he hadn't done so after I was actually more on guard.

I fought a smirk as the soldier frowned and raised a hand to his scouter. Not three seconds later it combusted.

The soldier didn't even seem to know how to comprehend that for a fair few moments.

"Yeah…sorry, should have warned you. You'd need one of Raditz's upgraded scouters to read my current power level. Those ones are outdated by literally over a decade."

I paused to think, "And unfortunately for you, I don't think I have much issue with killing a dead guy. Especially one that nearly leveled a building full of teenagers."

I hardly gave him enough time to back away. In the next moment, I was up close and blasting him back to where he came from. Hopefully. I would kinda feel bad if this was the version where if you kill a dead person they're perma dead. But something about the semi-familiar premise made me doubt it.

There was no body left to deal with, which was nice, though confusing. It's not like my attack should have been enough to disintegrate him or anything. Must be a dead thing.

I looked up, sensing many more power levels far too high for Earth.

Guess I'm going that way then.

I mean, I guess it's lucky enough that the hole in reality wasn't literally over the center of the city. It was still over the city, but it could have been worse, with the epicenter being mostly over office buildings and the like rather than any residential area.

I nodded as I unsealed a bottle of water, taking in the sight of countless of the dead as I took a sip.

"Somehow, I completely forgot that movies were a thing."

I returned the bottle to a capsule before glancing down. People were evacuating the already rather sparse area. With any luck, I shouldn't have to worry too much about it. I'll try to keep things as high as possible though.

I was surprised by how not worried I was. But then, very few of those appearing felt very strong at all, there were just a lot of them.

"Quite intimidating isn't it?" I started at the shockingly familiar voice.

"It's not every day you are to whiteness an immortal undead army spawning on your home planet now is it earthling?"

I glanced back to see smug red eyes looking right at me.

Somehow, I was still surprised to see Frieza among the respawned. Guess that's one unfortunate thing about the masses- it's hard to sense out individuals through it.

Still, that wasn't even the most unnerving thing about the interaction.

"Right…" I humored him.

He was far too casual. I mean, I didn't expect him to recognize me, but surely just the spiked blonde hair should have-

"Oh!" I realized far too suddenly. Enough so that it caught Frieza in a curious surprise. "You don't know what a Super Sayain looks like!"

"Pardon me?" Even then Frieza seemed more confused and insulted than concerned.

And the entire concept was just so, laughable. Which is exactly what I did. I laughed.

The only time this Frieza ever saw a Super Sayain was with Trunks. And he'd have no reason to think Trunks was a Sayain at all, let alone a super one.

My torrent of laughs quelled enough that I could speak again, though still with clear laughter in my voice. "Oh you have no idea who I am, do you?"

By this point, Frieza was nearly glowering. "Though it may surprise you to know, I have better things to do than know the identity of just any random earth fighter."

"Right right," I coughed to avoid laughing again. "Here, maybe this will help." I dropped the transformation and removed my goggles.

There was no immediate recognition, rather it was only after a moment that there was a lightening of realization.

"Oh, I see. You're the baby monkey. My, haven't you grown arrogant with age? Perhaps you need someone to help put you back in your place." His tone turned sinister towards the end.

I hummed as I sealed away the goggles, probably shouldn't be wearing something obscuring my eyes with this many opponents.

My nonchalance only proved to irritate him further.

"Do you honestly believe that changing your hair color makes you any more capable than any other Sayain mongrel?"

"I believe," I took a single step towards him, the step after that I sparked back to Super and landed a fist into his stomach, "that it makes you irrelevant."

Frieza staggered back, incapable of taking in a breath. It was interesting that he'd still have that impulse despite being dead. I guess to talk he'd need to.

"Now if I recall correctly, my dad was able to beat you without needing the transformation. Just himself and the KaioKen. This transformation is now so commonplace that it's not only used by me as a simple appearance change, but it's also so simple that the children have had and currently have no issue using it.

"How does it feel, Frieza, to know that the form of legend that you oh so feared is so trivial that not only have we needed forms past it to keep up relevance, but that it's used by children to win their petty games?"

Between the pain and the rage, Frieza couldn't even form words. And I was hardly about to give him the time to blow up the planet so-

I did ensure the blast would be powerful enough to be rid of him in a single blow.

"Well, that was fun."

I turned back to the ever-growing crowd.

That, might be less fun.

Raditz

Raditz noted as his Scouter lit up. Even several cities away there was enough power collecting that it lit up its censors without prompting.

Raditz shut the device off and went back to his project.
