Planet Mobius, 7 Years Ago .

Deep in the forest Kingdom of Acorn, Susan cradled her new born tightly to her chest. Not tight enough to injure the little guy, but tight as she could bear.

The boy was born this very day, fated to be born today. Susan knew, from the moment she saw his second tail, on the prenatal screen... she knew, she would be parted from her child mere hours after he was born.

But She refused to let the Fates dictate this child's Destiny. She would insure he would be raised by his parents. Robotnik would not win this day.

The hug was made all the tighter, thanks to the embrace of the Captain of the guard... her mate.

The king was nearby, hugging his own child, and asking her to be brave.

Sally, his daughter, was a hybrid of a chipmunk (her father) and a squirrel (her mother). The spawn of two great leaders, that's marriage united their kingdoms.

Once the King let go of his daughter, Susan hesitantly handed her babe over... to the barely 9 year old girl... then watched, as all the children of the Castle huddled together. Nervous as the Mages prepared their spells, then teleported the children, in mass, to a safe house.

The Safe House was heavily enchanted with Perception filters. Robotnik could never hope to find them, not if he stepped into the heart of the compound.

Susan would not fail, she would crush this army. These children would not be forced to take up arms. The world would not need to depend on a group of child soldiers, as their freedom fighters. After today, these children would return to the life of aristocrats... they would never know the pains of War, Susan would insure that...

But Susan... was destined to fail...

Rosemary Prower... was tired of this. She was one of the Susan Echoes, that resurrected herself through the "Loading" process, after the time war. Escaping Death by merging with a fetus... only she chose a Yoko, a demonic Fox, cousins to Kitsune. Which were incapable of dying of old age. So she had kept this body for 42 Cycles now.

She had been assigned to Planet Mobius, as she could pass for one of the natives. Whom had evolved as Bipedal animals, of all kinds. With the Carnivores surviving on a healthy diet of fish and bugs. As the only lower animals, not to evolve into sapience.

Susan had come to this world, to prepare it for war. She just hadn't counted... on fallling in love. Given her role as a consultant, she had worked closely with the Captain of the guard... Taking him as her mate... and soon their after giving birth to the champion, the fox was destined to sire.

Miles "Tails" Prower.

It shouldn't have been possible. She hadn't even merged with the fetus of Miles' original mother. But the boy was still born of her... the Fates must have been desperate for him to be born, they would risk losing control of yet another Champion.

Miles had her Time Omnian intellect, along with the power of her demon blood. Mixed with his father's mortal genes. The boy wasn't exactly a Hanyou, as due to Susan's own Gallifreyian biology, he technically only had a demonic heritage... which is where his second tail came from.

Yoko, unlike kitsune, were born with multiple tails. Never growing more. Yet Miles was extra special, as his bones were designed for his tail to rotate... like helicopter blades.

It was just a freak mutation... manifested from the high level of chaos magic, the kit was born with.

It was rare, but Mobian children were occasionally mutated by the chaos magic, that infected their Galaxy. These children were often shunned, and tended to become mercenaries. As the only place they could fit in, was letting others use their gifts as weapons.

Sonic, Knuckles, Silver, Amy... and her Miles, were such children.

Susan just wanted to create a better future for Mobius... but fates were manipulating her... She should have realized, they would have given Robotnik the means to defeat her.

7 Years Later .

Robotnik had destroyed their kingdom, she had been no match for his army... as they had been powered by the Chaos Emeralds, themselves. A single Time Omnian, a mere galaxy buster, just couldn't compete.

She eased herself with the notion her son was safe. Being raised by the King's Daughter... who was no more then a child herself, but Destiny told her, the girl would do a good job.

Susan had fought Robotnik's machines... and lost. His weapons were too great, even for her...

She couldn't even "Load" to before the fight... as Robotnik had hit her with a beam of pure concentrated chaos energy... which did more then almost kill her, but horrifically, and permanently, damaged her magicks... she was even cut off from her hive mind... Her whole Clutch must think her dead... she hoped they no longer mourned her. It had been 7 years, after all.

Though she lived, she had been "saved" by an Alien race, the Bem. They were obsessed with trying to preserve "lower" lifeforms.

However, the way they went about it, was actually similar to Earth Humanoids. Tagging "wild life", setting up sanctuaries, observing them, keeping some as pets, or in zoos.

Honestly, the Susan Echo thought she would have preferred life as a house pet. The zookeepers believed she was somekind of a new subspecies of Fox Mobian... So they kept trying to breed her to the males in the exhibit. Something she didn't appreciate. As she had been mourning her husband when they started.

Thankfully, the male foxes were fine with being rejected... as they didn't exactly want to do anything while perverted Bem watched, either.

It wasn't like the Bem forced them to have sex. They kinda just put them in a pheromone filled room, and hoped something happened. It was more annoying... and embarrassing, then violating.

Another thing to be thankful for, was today wasn't one of those days. She was currently "relaxing" in her exhibit... meaning bored out of her mind.

However, Rosemary perked, as she heard a familiar mechanical wheezing.

Meanwhile, in the Distant Past, on Earth Delta 4 .

"So how old are you?" Tom finally got around to asking Sonic. It wasn't that the Donut Lord was putting it off, but he never really thought about it. Not until he, and his wife, began researching schools for their little alien creature, turned adopted son.

The local judge had granted them custody of the boy, just on the grounds he looked and acted like a child... but they hadn't really confirmed his exact age. It's not like they were trying to get the boy Citizenship papers.

The government kinda just handed that to the boy, given the fiasco that followed the discovery of a Sapient, bipedal, hedgehog. It was part of the agreement, that no one in town, call the news about a government agent attempting to murder a child. Alien with super speed, or not.

They also gave the new family some hush money. Not a whole lot, but it was enough to live comfortably off the interest, and set Sonic up with a Trust Fund, for when he grew up.

"That's... complicated," Sonic grew unusually stiff... and Tom immediately started fearing the worst.

"Please tell me, after all this, you aren't a 40 year old man." Tom groaned. That would definitely complicate things, though he had no intention of kicking Sonic out if that was the case.

"What!? No!" Sonic blushed, the fur of his face legitimately changing color. Tom didn't even want to know how mood fur worked. "I'm 15!"

Tom blinked, that was still older then what he assumed. Though thankfully the kid was still legally a child, so no real issues would pop up.

"... Sorta..." Sonic reluctantly added.

"Sorta?" Tom blinked.

"Well... guess there is no easy way to say this..." Sonic sighed. "My species lives a-a lot longer then humans. That means I age slower. Physically... I'm closer to a 7 year old human."

Tom blinked, "That's... really a thing?"

Sonic was, blushing, squirming a good deal. He was definitely acting like a 7 year old, discussing an embarrassing topic. Though he was also a good deal more intelligent, from all the knowledge he was sharing with the government.

"That will make schooling you a bit trickier," Tom thought out loud.

Human schooling was based on age, not just for academic reasons, but maturity. The school board would have to be willing to make an exception for Sonic, as to not age him out... then the Mayor would have to be called. In order to acknowledge a different "legal" age for him, for when the town should recognize him as an adult...

If Sonic was only 7, at 15, it would cause all sorts of disasters if they started treating him like an adult, when he turns 18.

By the look on Sonic's face, it was clear he had thought about that... and had been dreading this conversation.

"It might be better to home school me." Sonic finally said. "I mean, I only have the equivalent of an nursery school education, but that's space school. I know more about physics, math, and the various sciences, then even your most honored scientists."

"But you still only have a basic understanding of the English language, or our history." Tom pointed out.

"Which is why Home Schooling would be better." Sonic pressed.

"Uncle Sam already took care of that. You wouldn't have to take any classes, involving the Sciences, except for biology. Then, once you graduate school, they will give you an honorary Doctorate in physics and chemistry. Though you can still go to college for additional degrees... Although I think they are hoping you will immediately start working in some underground base. But we got it in writing you could do whatever you want."

The government had tried to get Sonic accepted into a boarding school, at the other side of the country... for genius billionaire kids. But Tom wasn't going to risk them using the opportunity, to throw Sonic into some dark hole.

Sonic squirmed more. He always was a fidgety child, but there was something different about this.

"There a reason you don't want to go to school?" Tom pressed.

Sonic gulped, a sure sign something was wrong. "I've... never been around that many kids before. I dreamed about going to school, playing in little league matches..." that second one, the town forbid him. They claimed it would be unfair if someone with Sonic's abilities was allowed to play in official sporting events.

"I..." Sonic took another gulp of air. "I don't know if I will be able to... slow down... I might scare the other kids..."

Tom saw that for what it was... Sonic was scared they wouldn't accept him. Kids could be cruel, after all.

"Did someone say something?" Tom pressed.

As Sonic wasn't a liar... he chose to say nothing. Now that he was public, he was allowed to wander about... even play with the other kids. Unfortunately, that hadn't gone as well as he had hoped...

"Sonic," Tom pressed.

"I'm fine," Sonic assured, and he was.

It's not like the kids hit him or anything, or even could. They just asked a bunch of humiliating questions, and kept trying to touch his quills... they treated him like some kind of bizarre animal at a petting zoo... he didn't think he could handle hours of that.

Decades into the future,

On the Planet Mobius.

Robotnik, had been saved. Not only saved, but liberated from ignorance. His mind, combined with the greater engineering knowledge of a million worlds, had produced something... truly exhilarating.

Unfortunately, he was not without scars. Trapped on a planet, where the only thing he could eat was mushrooms, for 10 years. Well it didn't do any favors for his health.

Most of his hair had fallen out, and he had gained a tremendous amount of weight. Which he stopped trying to lose a good 20 years after his rescue.

Thankfully, these creatures medical technology allowed him to extend his life expectancy by a hundred years. So he still looked relatively young. Errrr well, not old, at least.

"Doctor!" One of his robotic servants rolled in. "The rebels have breached the base!"

Robotnik could only sigh. As if this was more an inconvenience.

He had conquered the planet, several, actually, but the Freedom Fighters had proven resilient.

No matter, he had the Chaos Emeralds. He could start again. Without all those Hiccups in the road.

"Activate," Robotnik paused, for dramatic effect. "Chaos Control."

"But sir," One of his Badnik robots got his attention. "We haven't finished calibrating the-" the metallic creature burst apart. With the other Badniks spotting the laser, in their master's hand. "I just can't figure how to remove that 'backtalk' glitch." he hummed. Then, looking at his other machines, he demanded. "Well? What are you waiting for? Activate chaos control!"

"Yes Sir!!!" The other Badniks immediately got to work.

Back in the past,

on Earth Delta 4.

Humanity's Global government, for this planet anyway, began freaking out. As within the forest of green hill, a relatively high profile area for such a small town, given the planet's first alien citizen resided within it's borders... well-

"What do you mean, A lake just appeared!!!" The general demanded, as his scientist were panicking over the satellite images.

There was a large lake, about three times the size of New York City, suddenly right next to the small town. Surrounding an island, about half as big as the lake. The entire forest had been submerged under water.

Thankfully Green Hills was, in fact, on a hill. So it, and about 20 miles around the town, was elevated above the new lake... but now the area was surrounded by water, on all sides... other towns weren't so lucky... and crushed under the wave of water. Only 3 other towns had survived.

Robotnik felt his, fabulously bushy, mustache twitch. As he read over the screens.

It had worked, he had successfully returned to Earth Delta 4. Although often abbreviated to "Earth" by lesser minds. They were even in the right time zone, about 4 months since his exile. Enough time for the planet's united government, to go lax.

All that had gone to plan. No, what troubled him was.

"The Rebels are retreating," One of his robots sighed with undeserved relief.

"Oh really?" Robotnik smiled, an insincere grin. "They're retreating, we might as well alert all the troops. Maybe organize a celebration. Free oil brews for all!" This lesser doctor stood, and with exaggerated foot steps, made his way to the droid. "Except for the tiny issue," Grabbing it roughly, and screaming into it's mechanical face. "They followed us through!!!" Throwing the droid into a wall, he gestured at the screen. "The Entire country came with us!!!

"We were supposed to get away from the war, to regroup. Maybe conquer this miserable planet. But now, the rebels will undoubtedly ally themselves with the humans. This just became a thousand times harder then it needs to be!

"Any other bad news?" Robotnik demanded.

One of the droids dared speak up, "The chaos Emeralds..." it eeped as the Doctor turned an angry eye towards him.

"What about them?" Robotnik's smile turned vicious.

"They... they appear to have, after they were activated, broken free, and scattered themselves around the world."

"Well that's just PEACHY!!!"

Back with Rosemary.

The 4th Doctor, with his ridiculous scarf, led the final zoo exhibits, back to their home-planets. Some had lost their worlds, and colonized elsewhere. So he dropped them off elsewhere.

Rosemary smiled, looking around the Doctor's TARDIS. The other Doctors must be in other control rooms, or possibly deeper in their TARDIS... she'd like to see them as well... but maybe later. Whom she wanted to see most of all was her son... Miles.

Each TARDIS, during the Time War, had been upgraded. Each was a single, infinite, dimension. but that dimension now had 13, mobile, gateways. Guided by their own control room. Which each of it's Time Lord's faces, were bound to a different Gateway / Control Room. If the Gateway was destroyed, the control room would go with it, but The TARDIS, itself, would be unaffected.

This added an extra layer of protection. As a single exploding TARDIS, could destroy the universe it was in. So the Time Lords made the TARDIS near impossible to destroy. Existing outside the universe, with the Gateway being how they interacted with other dimensions.

Even the Doctor's TARDIS had such an Upgrade.

Rosemary... had been cut off from her TARDIS... Each hive of Time Lords had their own, and Rosemary's gateway had been destroyed, in the first battle with Robotnik. The dimension was fine, but she had no way to get to it. A new Gateway could be constructed... but this Susan echo doubted she was healthy enough, to go on Time Adventures anymore.

Regardless of how happy she was to see the Doctor... to be in his TARDIS again. Susan found herself awkwardly wishing she had her gloves. The ones that were taken from her, when she was captured by the Bem. She had gotten used to thinking of bare hands as shameful. Then was stripped of her gloves, and forced to endure people staring at her bare hands, for seven years.

"Nice touch, saving the whole zoo." Susan complimented. While hiding her hands behind her back. Barely registering she wasn't wearing any other clothes either.

"You could have done it yourself!" The Doctor snapped.

Rosemary rolled her eyes. "If I could have, I would have." was all she said. Not wanting to discuss the horror inflicted on her.

The Doctor was quiet... until he wasn't "Everyone thinks your dead Susan, why didn't you-"

He stopped, really looking at her. Not seeing her body, but rather her soul. He saw the damage, just now registering. He didn't know there was a force outside gods that could injure a Time Omnian so... her magic was crippled.

The Doctor looked away, Susan thankful he didn't point out the obvious. "Go put on some clothes," he ordered.

Rosemary looked at her bare hands again, having gotten used to the Mobian's version of clothing taboos. It wasn't like anything was visible on her. As Mobians had purely internal sex organs, further hidden by fur. With only cow-folk able to produce milk.

"Will do," Rosemary agreed. Going off to the Wardrobe, to hunt down some gloves.

The Doctor brought Rosemary to Mobius Island, on Earth Delta 4. A few days after a large chunk of land, was transported from Mobius, to this humanoid world...

Robotnik was depleted, having gone into hiding to regroup.

She wasn't happy, she couldn't help her son through such hard times. But, without her involvement, the world progressed as it was supposed to. As it did in their Canon Universe.

Susan sighed, truly living up to her chosen name, for the first time in a long time. As the mother to Champions. "This was cruel, Grandfather," She stated the obvious, before stepping from his ship, into Princess Sally's small house.

By bringing her here, The Doctor had trapped her into these events, turning Miles' early life into a fixed point. Even if she did go back, try to claim her child. That would just create a pocket dimension.

"Not as cruel as you think," Scarfy mysteriously stated, as he followed her out, closeing the doors behind them.

"Doctor!!!" Shrieked a young voice. Cracking, as he spoke with rather loud excitement.

A two tailed, blonde, fox bulldozed into the Doctor's gut, hugging him tight.

The Doctor smiled, as Rosemary realized the obvious.

"Since we thought you dead," The Doctor smiled at his granddaughter. "I've spent the last few days, sailing across this boy's timeline. Been protecting him, and fighting Robotnik, during every major battle... may have stayed for a few extra hours, to celebrate with the Rebels."

Susan's heart swelled. So the only reason Grandfather didn't drop her off, further in the past, was because he couldn't cross his own timeline.

The kit eagerly broke the hug, "Is this more Timey Wimey stuff, Doctor!" the boy more declared, then asked.

Rosemary was struck speechless. Even if she was only now, reunited with her son... The Doctor had kept him safe for her.

"Miles?" Rosemary gulped, stepping over to the boy. "You've gotten so big... and your fur has lightened." the boy was now a bright yellow, where he used to be brown.

Tails huffed, no one used that name, he hated it... but still, he didn't recognize this brown fox, with her red hair... but it was kinda nice. Someone taking note of his fur, rather then his twin tails. This lady must be one of Sally's older Freedom Fighters, from one of the other camps. That would explain how she knew Tails, but Tails didn't know her.

"Who are you?" Tails pouted, it wasn't often he didn't know something, and he didn't like being ignorant about anything.

"I'm your mother," informed Susan.

Tails froze, Staring at the fox. Then Rosemary quickly had to grab him, as the boy fainted.
