In the principal's office of Hexside, Azura, Evelyn and Jakob were sitting on their respective chairs with their respective parents behind them giving them judgemental stares. Jakob's Dad was a mysterious figure who appeared to be wearing a black robe over his body and a hood to cover his face.
Principal Terrace appeared to be reading a scroll which she put down and exhaled. "Well, that's everything I got from the witnesses." She said.
"Wait, Principal Terrace, why am I here?" Azura asked. "I did nothing."
"According to Ms Porter, you encouraged Evelyn to punch Jakob in the face."
"Correction, it was a lunch tray she used as a weapon." Azura said.
"You Half-A-Witch!" Jakob said.
When she heard her daughter called a Half-A-Witch, Amity instantly narrowed her eyes at the young boy and then his Dad. "You better control your son, Mr Widebent. Because if your son calls my daughter a Half-A-Witch again…." Her eyes began to turn green which was something her wife noticed.
"Sweet Potato, let's not start!" Luz suggested.
"Thank you Mrs Noceda." Principal Terrace said. But when they looked to where Terrace would have been sitting, she wasn't there. She was on the ceiling, looking terrified. Then, she dropped back down to her seat and coughed. "Anyway, your daughter encouraged Evelyn to punch Jakob in the face."
"No, I encouraged her to stand her ground which she must have assumed to hit him in the face with a lunch tray." Azura said.
"And what did you mean by standing your ground?" The more understanding Luz asked her daughter.
"I meant more like say a smart comeback like how much he looks like a fish for example." Azura replied.
"A fish?!" Jakob was about to cast a spell but then his father grabbed his wrist before he could cause more any trouble.
"Well, Noceda, you won't be getting the detention pit…."
"Moocher." Jakob said.
"But you Ms Park!" Terrace slammed her fists on the desk. "You better have a good reason to hitting him in the face."
Evelyn rubbed the back of her head nervously. "Well….I….I….I…I…I hit him because he was harassing me. And I was sick of it so…I snapped and hit him in the face with my lunch tray."
Willow and Hunter looked surprised with what their daughter had caused and instead of being angry they stared at her with concern.
"Are you okay, Evelyn?" Hunter asked as he got in front of his daughter and began to check for any marks. "Did he hit you back? Did he?! Did you cut yourself?!"
Evelyn groaned with embarrassment. "Dad! I'm fine. I'm fine. I…I….I…I…" She stared at her Dad's terrified face and sighed. "I….I just made a mistake."
Hunter sighed and kissed his daughter's head. "We'll talk about this when we get home."
"Wait, what made her hurt him?" Willow asked Principal Terrace.
"It was an insult according to Ms Repeels." Principal Terrace replied. "I know what it is, I just want Jakob to tell me what it was. Jakob, what was the 'insult' you referred to Ms Park?"
Jakob shrugged his shoulders. "Same as Azura. Half-A-Witch."
Willow gripped her fists angrily as she narrowed her eyes at the young boy. The disgusting insult that had haunted her childhood was now being used on her daughter.
"Half-A-Witch?!" Willow's eyes glowed green for a moment.
Hunter instantly placed a hand on his wife's shoulders. "Honey, calm down."
She pointed an aggressive finger at the man in the robe who only stood in place motionless. "You need to control that little brat of a son! Nobody calls my daughter a half-a-witch and gets away with it!"
"Honey, calm down. Deep breaths." He inhaled, raised his hand and began to count his fingers to four which his wife followed. "There we go." They did it a few more times. "It's okay. Jakob may have called our daughter that, but I don't think Terrace will tolerate that."
Terrace popped her head back from under the table and shook her head. "I'm afraid it's worse than that. I think anyway. I don't know. I think it's a new insult."
"New insult?" Hunter asked. Him and his wife looked at each other with concern.
"Yes." Terrace replied. "He called your daughter a Grimwitch. Which to him is what he'd describe a witch part witch and part Grimwalker."
In an instant, Hunter gasped and instantly narrowed his eyes at Jakob's dad who looked at him with a very condescending stare.
Terrace knew that another parents was going to be angry and instantly got off her desk and left the room.
"You, poor excuse for a parent!" Hunter yelled angrily as he tried to charge towards him while Jakob laughed. His wife, his step-sister and his sister-in-law did their best to hold him back. "My daughter may be part Grimwalker but if I hear someone call my daughter that again then I will…." Willow instantly raised her hand to her face and did the breathing method with him.
"Lily flower, breathe." Willow said. "Breathe. Breathe." Hunter did what his wife said and calmed down. "Thanks, sunflower."
Suddenly, Principal Terrace walked back into her office, though reluctantly. "Has he done?"
"Yeah, I'm okay, Principal Terrace." He replied.
Then, a couple of the Hexside Guards entered the room with their Shepherd's Crook in their hands, to restrain the troublesome student which made Evelyn and Azura's parents go in front of them in defence.
"Ms Terrace!" Hunter interjected. "Perhaps it's too harsh to send my daughter to the detention pit."
"Yeah! She wouldn't survive without me!" Azura protested. "But seriously, don't send me there."
"I wasn't." She assured her students. "I was referring to Mr Widebent."
"What?!" Jakob exclaimed in shock.
"For using vulgar and offensive language!" She replied. "Which I will not have in my school." She then began to whisper to the guards. "Could you restrain the father in case he gets angry? Can't have another angry parent. Jakob Widebent, for your discriminatory words, one we shall include in our discrimination books which I also thank you for because it gives Albus something to do."
A frail old man with a very big white beard, wrinkly skin and dressed in some kind of loincloth walked past the room. "Yes. Thank you vulgar and rude old man. I have waited for 300 years for someone to say a new discriminating words to add to the book."
"But regardless, you shall be sentenced to 6 hours in the detention pit."
"What?!" Jakob stood off his seat and narrowed his eyes at his Dad. "Tell her she can't!" Instead of responding, the father shrugged his shoulders. He then narrowed his eyes at Evelyn, whom was instantly blocked by her Dad. "This isn't over, Park!" He said before one of the crooks quickly attached to his neck and began dragging him out. "This isn't over! This isn't over! This isn't over!" The doors slammed shut.
Terrace quickly sat back down on her seat and turned to the parents and students. "Oh and your punishments….Well, it's harsh but not as harsh…"
Luz then pounced across the table and grabbed Principal Terrace around her collar. "How dare you! What awful punishments do you have for my daughter?!"
Principal Terrace cried in anguish while Amity tried to hold her wife back. "Calm down, Luz. Calm down."
"It's not even that painful." Principal Terrace said with fear in her face.
Later at the Park residence, Evelyn was in the living room doing some extra homework that her head teacher had assigned her as punishment while Hunter and Willow were in the kitchen.
Hunter was cleaning the dishes, Waffles and Clover were drying them together while Willow helped put them away. Hunter looked anxious while his wife looked calm. She suddenly heard some whining below her feet and saw that it was their three year old Greenland Dog, O'Bailey, begging for some food.
Willow narrowed her eyes at her dog. "O'Bailey. You had your dinner." The Greenland Dog whined louder which made Willow shake her head. "Okay, you little rascal." She reached into her pocket and pulled out a treat for him which she fed him and patted his head.
"Do you think dogs ever feel offended?" Hunter asked his wife.
"Why ask that, honey?" Willow asked her husband.
"I'm sorry, Willow." Hunter sighed. "I just…Grimwitch. Never heard such an insult before." He pressed his back against the wall and O'Bailey instantly walked to his owner to give him some loving nuzzles.
Willow sighed sadly. "It's a shame that awful people were raised that way. Grimwitch. I swear that you'd hear that from Boscha." She joined her husband with her back against the wall.
"Willow, I know you'd disagree with me, but he deserved it." Hunter said. "That little…..Witch deserved it!"
Willow shrugged her shoulders. "I mean, she shouldn't have done it, but it was deserved."
"And to think all it took for her confidence to build up was a bunch of insults." Hunter said.
"I wouldn't have done that to Boscha." Willow smiled. "But you would have. That's definitely our kid in there."
Hunter smiled. "Yeah. Wish she would have done it sooner. If I wasn't so overprotective of her."
Willow held her husband's arm. "I know why you do it. And you're still learning even after 15 years."
"We still need to talk to her." Hunter reminded his wife.
"Yup, I know." Willow said.
In the living room, Evelyn had just finished her last bit of homework after 4 hours and was now sitting on the couch, awaiting what her parents would have to say about all this that had happened. She felt guilty about what she did but she also felt some sort of satisfaction over what she did. He had it coming after all the bullying that she had to put up with for years. But this also got her concerned about what she had inside her if she wasn't as much as an unconfident witch.
Hunter and Willow walked in with O'Bailey and their Palismen following from behind. The dog jumped on the couch and sat next to her.
Hunter folded his arms at his daughter with Willow doing the same as her husband. "Evelyn, what do you have to say for yourself?" Hunter asked his daughter. Evelyn shifted on the couch nervously. "Evelyn, me and your mother are not angry."
"We as parents are supposed to do what's best for our kids." Willow said. "And as much as we think violence is wrong, we do think Jakob deserved it."
"But why though?" Evelyn asked her parents. "I got four hours of homework."
"It was still wrong, yes." Willow said. "And we do think that four hours of extra homework is good enough as punishment."
"Azura has her own which she will succeed at."
At the Noceda residence, Azura had fallen asleep on the book on Abomination art and was drooling on the pages of the book.
Her little brother walked past the open door of her bedroom and saw her sleeping. He knew that Azura would usually be studying.
"Huh, I guess this is what happens when you realise you're not destined to be the greatest witch in the Isles." He remarked to himself out loud.
Back at the Park residence, Hunter was still talking to his daughter. "We do think it was a fair punishment. Evelyn, violence isn't always the answer. Attacking your enemy is wrong but self defence is. If you want I can teach you how to defend yourself. Or if you want, we could try and awaken your teleporting abilities."
Evelyn gripped on the couch nervously. "No thanks, Dad. As much as I appreciate it. I….Wouldn't want to get into trouble." She yawned. "Besides I'm tired."
"I could start off simple if you like that wouldn't get you hurt." Hunter said while his daughter got off the couch and straight towards her bedroom. "Or not." He sighed while Willow placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I was trying to…You know, trust her and not be as overprotective with her."
Willow smiled at her husband. "It's a start."
Hunter then suddenly turned concerned. "Oh Titan, what if something goes wrong? What if she started off something awful?"
Inside Evelyn's bedroom, she was in her red and blue pyjama combo, getting ready to relax before she would get some sleep. The bedroom she slept in had posters of Flyer Derby, Cosmic Frontiers and an animated series called Amphibi-Anne. On her desk was a picture of her posing with her family, her at 12 years old when they got O'Bailey when he was a puppy, Evelyn when she was 4 dressed in a Cosmic Frontier outfit while her Dad held her and her with Mildred.
She suddenly felt a breeze coming from her open bedroom window and walked to it with suspicion. She swore she had it closed but she apparently didn't.
She was about to close it shut but then someone popped their head up. "Evelyn!"
Evelyn screamed and fell on her rear at the sight of Rentley standing outside. "Rentley!" She exclaimed quietly. "What are you doing here?!"
"Look, I needed to see you." Rentley replied as he climbed into her room.
"You have to get out, you're trespassing." Evelyn said. "And I'm sorry that I hit your boyfriend with a dinner tray."
"Look, Evelyn I have two things to say." Rentley cleared his throat. "Number one: I think he deserved it. He ignores my concerns all the time, like with the Belos supporters. It's like he's a part of them. And number two: He sent me this." He handed her a white envelop.
In that instant, Evelyn knew what it was. "A Whisperer."
"Yeah, he really wants this confidential." Rentley said. "I'll see you tomorrow." He jumped out the window before her parents could come in to interrogate him.
Despite her nerves, Evelyn opened the envelope which suddenly started to fly as it began to yell quietly at her. "So, you think you could humiliate me like that today? Huh, Grimwitch?! And worst of all, I got 6 hours in the detention pit. Stuck in those blue cocoons for hours. You know, I heard that the old ways had a hypnotising serpent. But that escaped when the Collector arrived and Hexside was under the rule of Mrs Blockerhon. What do I want you might ask? I challenge you to a fight!" Evelyn froze in terror. "Four PM, tomorrow in the middle of the sport court at Hexside. And if you back out, I will break into your home or maybe I will break some property or maybe I will take your dog and tame it as my own. If you tell your parents or any other adult or have anyone fight on your behalf, I will do the same thing. You better be there tomorrow or else…By the way Rentley, I love you. Oh, I know you're standing there blushing." Evelyn couldn't help but give a small chuckle over him not being there. "Oh and Grimwitch, I will kick your butt." The letter exploded into pieces of shredded paper.
Evelyn looked at the shredded pieces of paper with fear and worry on her face. She knew she didn't have what it took to beat Jakob. She wasn't confident enough. She needed help and fast.
The next day and about seven hours until the big fight, at the Noceda residence, Azura was out in her garden with Mildred, Hecate and Manny.
Azura was awaiting for her cousin with Hecate at her side with Mildred interacting with Manny. "So, despite the fact that Jakob told her not to tell us, she went and told us anyway?"
"Well, you know she wouldn't tell her parents, he would have stolen O'Bailey." Azura said.
"By the way, how does a dog from the Human Realm survive the Demon Realm?" Hecate asked.
"We'll explain some other time." Azura replied.
"So, you got rid of your parents easily." Hecate remarked. "I mean, they went to the Human Realm to study, art, right? Because your brother is showing signs of being artistic?"
"Autistic." Azura reminded her friend. "It's….A human thing."
She looked at her brother whom was talking to Mildred about his favourite Earth show. "So, after the 6th season, Patricia Broughton left the show due to late 60's pay dispute despite being the lead in the show. So the third Doctor What was portrayed by Don Hurtwee who was one of the 325 actors who auditioned."
Mildred yawned as she continued to listen to the boy go on. "Uh….Hey kid, keep going on. It might help me get some sleep."
The kid smiled. "Okay. Anyway, the next Doctor What spent most of his time on Earth, specifically in the more terrible part of England, known as Bradford-on-top-of-Sheffield…" While he kept talking, Mildred closed her eyes and began to sleep.
Hecate just looked at Azura. "Why are you even friends with her?"
Azura sighed sadly. "Well, it's a sad story. So when we were three, me and Evelyn!" She waved to Evelyn, who walked in the backyard with a headband on her head.
Evelyn waved nervously. "Hi, Azura. We have seven hours until the big fight."
"Don't worry, we're going to make sure you beat this jerk. Even though, I could have taken him single handedly." Azura approached Evelyn as she rolled up her sleeves. "Okay, we're going to learn how to dodge punches. Now, knowing witches, they sometimes resort to using their fists as a last resort. So, show me how you punch."
Evelyn looked hesitant. "Since when did you fight? Do you even know how to fight without magic? And I mean, besides your Mami's glyphs."
"Yeah, of course I do." Azura assured her cousin before she flashback to learning how to fight. Which just consisted of her watching Human Realm action movies such as Exit the Dragon and Kill Phil Volume 3.
"She learnt fight moves from watching Abuelita's movies." Manny explained.
Azura rolled her eyes at her brother's honesty. "Okay Evelyn, punch me."
Evelyn raised her fist and gently tapped Azura on the shoulder. The half human stared at her cousin with an unimpressed look. "I can't hurt you Azura, I'm sorry."
"Okay, I understand." Azura said as she tried to think of an idea. "Okay, okay, okay, okay. Evelyn, do you think you can hit Jakob?"
"I mean….I hit him with a lunch tray." Evelyn replied.
Azura then grinned and drew a spell circle that caused her to turn into Jakob. "Oh, Evelyn! You dumb Grimwitch of the Half-A-Witch group! With that stupid witch who should have been a part of my group, Hecate; That lazy witch, Mildred…"
Mildred shot up from her nap. "Huh, what?"
"….And your stupid cousin. The strong, cool, confident and beautiful half-human, Azura." Evelyn stared at her cousin with an unimpressed look. "And I'm just someone who thinks I'm better than everyone and I have a nice boyfriend that I surely don't deserve and Floz….Uh….Uh….I don't know much about her. Like, what is their deal?"
Evelyn gently tapped Azura in the chest with her fist which led Azura to be more unimpressed. "Really?"
"Sorry Azura, even with you as Jakob, I still know it's you." Evelyn said.
Azura then shrugged her shoulders. "Okay, forget the punching."
"Hey Azura, she isn't going to fight the jerk!" Mildred yelled out. "Why can't me and Hecate just brew some kind of sleeping potion?"
"Because A: You aren't in potions class and B: It would be classed as backing out to him." Azura said.
"He didn't say that." Mildred pointed out.
"Oh, but believe me, it will be." They turned and saw Rentley standing by the fence. He climbed over it and began to approach them.
"Rentley?" Azura reacted. "What are you doing here?"
"To see how Evelyn is doing." Rentley replied. "Jakob is currently training so I thought I could check on you while he finishes up."
"Yeah, she's doing well." Mildred said with sarcasm.
"That means she's doing terrible." Manny informed him.
"Yeah, I got it….Uh…Who's the kid?" Rentley asked.
"I'm Manny and you're Rentley." Manny replied.
"Yes, it was the name my moms gave me."
"Your boyfriend is a terrible person."
"Manny!" Azura scolded her brother before she turned back to Evelyn. "Okay, Eve, since we can't do punches, how about we try some spells? Let's try some Abomination."
"But you can't do, Abomination." Evelyn pointed out.
"But Manny can." Azura retorted before she went to sit on the sidelines with Mildred while Manny got in front of his cousin which Evelyn was hesitant about it.
"Azura, Manny is ten! I'm not going to hurt him."
Manny inhaled through his nose and then summoned a huge Abomination that tried to smash Evelyn against the ground. Evelyn screeched as she tried to avoid the Abomination from her cousin.
"Come on Evelyn, control my Abomination!" Manny yelled while Evelyn continued trying to avoid the giant fists. "Or teleport since your Uncle Hunter's daughter."
Rentley just watched on in concern over what Manny was doing while Azura and Hecate looked hesitant over this intense training method.
Mildred on the other hand, was eating a bag of popcorn as a means to enjoy the entertainment. "Uh….Isn't this training intense?" Hecate asked Azura.
"I mean, it's immersive training." Azura replied.
Then, they felt the ground vibrate as they saw Evelyn knocked to the ground and Manny about to knock her out with his Abomination.
"Manny!" Azura yelled out before Hecate used her Abomination magic to control Manny's Abomination.
The younger Noceda looked to everyone and his eyes went wide. "Did I go too far?" He looked at Evelyn and gasped. "Oh Titan! Oh Titan." Then, due to the stress, he began tapping his head with his fingers. "Oh Titan! Oh Titan!"
Azura instantly ran towards her little brother to help him calm down. "Manny! Manny! Manny!" She then soothed her voice to calm her little brother. "Hey. Hey, it's okay. You did good. You just got a little tense in the end. Go ahead and sit down with the others. Why don't you tell Rentley about Doctor What?"
While Manny went to sit down with the others, she approached her cousin whom was still on the ground looking exhausted after being chased around for the last few minutes by her cousin.
"I can't do this." Evelyn said. "I might as well allow Jakob to beat me."
Azura pulled her cousin up back on her feet. "Come on, Evelyn! We can do it! If there's one thing I know from watching movies is that we need a training montage."
"But wait, didn't a training montage cause a loss in the Grudgeby match with my Mom and Aunt Luz?"
"It's going to be different!" Azura exclaimed. "Training montage, go!"
And so, the training montage began. Azura tried throwing fireballs at Evelyn, but instead of deflecting them or dodging them, her glasses caught fire, somehow.
Mildred sat on the sideline with a scoreboard of Azura on one end and guest on the other. She flipped the scoreboard to one on Azura's side.
Then, she summoned some plants to catch Evelyn but unfortunately Evelyn kept getting caught by every vine with every attempt. Then, one swiped her to the right, causing her to fly into the scarecrow. Mildred turned Azura's score from one to eight.
Then, Azura summoned some illusions of Jakob that just mocked her and berated her. Evelyn tried to punch him in the face, but she accidentally ended up hitting herself in the face. Mildred turned the score from eight to seventy-nine.
Then Azura's next test was playing the lute which caused Evelyn to be hypnotised at how beautiful the music was before she got shot backwards into a tree. Mildred changed Azura's scoreboard from a seventy-nine to the infinite symbol.
Then, the six of them were now in animal onesies having tea and cape cakes together and laughing. Azura was in a dog onesie, Evelyn in an anteater onesie, Mildred was in a sloth onesie, Hecate in a mantis onesie, Rentley in a spider onesie and Manny in a shark onesie.
And with that, the montage ended with Evelyn was laying on her back panting from exhaustion. "Finished!" She exclaimed.
However, Rentley didn't look convinced, Manny was staring at her with a deadpanned look, Mildred was grinning, Hecate looked worried while Azura pulled a cringing face.
"Great. You're ready." Azura lied through her teeth before turning to everyone. "Group huddle." She, Hecate, Mildred and Rentley get into a group huddle together. "She's not ready. Jakob is going to knock her down in five seconds. Any suggestions?"
"More training?" Hecate suggested.
"Get her a lunch tray." Mildred suggested.
Rentley sighed. "Maybe I can talk him out of it. I mean, he has to listen to me. I'm his boyfriend after all."
"And what's the likelihood of him actually listening and being reasonable?" Azura asked.
Rentley cringed. "Well….Well….Well…We….We…Okay it's very unlikely."
"Why do you even go out with him?" Hecate asked.
Rentley sighed. "It's complicated. I'll explain some other day."
Hecate have a frustrated sigh. "Okay, how many backstories are you going to keep from me until you explain them?"
"I'll give you one." Mildred said. "You won't believe who Rentley's moms are."
"Not important, Mildred." Azura interjected. "Look, I'll tell Evelyn about how sucky she is and then we come up with a plan. But I'm going to let her down easy."
"What?! I did terribly!" Evelyn's cry in shock caused everyone to pull out of their group huddle.
"What?!" Hecate exclaimed. "Were you listening?!"
"I told her." Manny said.
"Manny!" Azura exclaimed. "Did you at least let her down easy?"
"No, I just told her." Manny replied. "Mami always said honesty is the best policy."
Azura wanted to yell at her brother but she inhaled deeply since she knew that he didn't do well with social interactions.
Mildred then smiled at Manny. "If honesty is the best policy, then what about during surprises? You need to lie in order to make someone's surprise genuine. So is it the best policy there?"
The mere question made Manny stop and think deeply about the question. Is keeping a surprise for someone special by lying the best policy if honesty is so important? He stood there and kept thinking, hard.
"That will keep him distracted." Mildred said.
Then Evelyn groaned. "Ohhhhh! Jakob's going to kick my butt! Titan, I can't fight! I should just stand and take it as payback."
Azura instantly ran up to her cousin and placed her hand on her shoulder. "No! We are not going to stand idly and have that jerk beat you to a pulp!"
"My boyfriend would kill me if I helped." Rentley said.
"What a healthy relationship." Mildred remarked sarcastically.
"I might as well." Evelyn sighed. "Might get a scar but at least me and Jakob will be even."
"No!" Azura protested. "I won't have my cousin get her behind handed by that guy of all people. I'll make sure of it."
Evelyn sighed sadly. "But I need to face him! If you did you'd most likely win."
In that moment, Azura thought of something along with Rentley. "Guys, I just had a thought."
"Why the heck we were in onesies?" Rentley asked.
"Not that." Azura said.
"Did we even agree to it?" Rentley asked.
"It's not important."
"The powers of this montage are quite concerning." Rentley said.
"Forget about the montage!" Azura exclaimed. "If you want to be bothered by it, think about it with Manny!"
Manny was still standing in place thinking about the question Mildred asked him and was joined by Rentley, whom was still spooked about the montage thing.
"What is your plan Azura?" Evelyn asked.
"How about I fight Jakob on your behalf?" Azura suggested.
"Jakob doesn't one anyone fighting on her behalf." Rentley said.
"Yeah, he made it very clear." Evelyn said.
"But….What if he doesn't know?" Azura asked. "He's not in my illusions class. Because…."
"He can't do illusions." Rentley replied before he smiled. "That means he can't see through an illusion." His smiled grew wider. "Yes!"
"Okay, what kind of boyfriend are you?" Hecate asked. "I seriously need to know."
Rentley gave Hecate a look. "It's….Never mind. I better get going before he starts calling or worse, steal from Luz Noceda. Good luck Azura. I think I get your plan." He walked out the backyard. "This meeting never happened. Remember that." He left the backyard while everyone stayed behind.
Manny however, looked on in confusion. "What is he talking about? It did happen. Oh wait, this didn't happen. Right."
"Okay Evelyn, here's what you, Hecate and Mildred are going to do." Azura said.
"What is it, Azura?" Hecate asked with determination.
Mildred however, was annoyed. "Oh man! I need to do something?!"
Later, Mildred and Hecate were walking in the forest with Hecate looking at a list that Azura handed them while Mildred was busy picking some wax out of her ear without a care in the world.
"Okay….Okay…." Hecate then snapped her fingers. "I got it! Azura wants us to make a sleeping potion for Jakob. I mean, Azura can't hold her illusion forever."
"Yeah, but how are we going to get him to drink it?" Mildred asked. "Does Azura expect us to go up to him and say 'Here Widebent, have a sleeping potion on the house.' That will never work."
"Unless we can insert into his skin." She smiled at Mildred. "Which is why we're going to brew a potion and carve ourselves a dart."
"Can you aim?" Mildred asked.
"Pretty sure I can." Hecate replied. "I mean….I am trying out for Grudgeby so…I consider this a practice. Now, we need a dart thorn, first."
"Okay." Mildred said. "Though you'll be doing most of the work."
Hecate groaned. "Oh come on!"
"I'll tell you one of the secret backstories if you let me slack off." Mildred offered. "My choice."
Hecate was tempted but then eventually relented. "Oh, alright."
"Excellent." Mildred said before accidentally tripping over a branch and into a thorn bush. "Ow!"
When Mildred stood up, she had a bunch of thorns sticking in her body. The redhead cringed in pain while Hecate looked at Mildred with an impressed look.
"Nice job, Mildred." Hecate pulled a thorn from Mildred's cheek. "Now, explain one of the backstories."
And so, the duo began their quest to find the ingredients of the sleeping potion while Mildred was pulling the remaining thorns out of her body. "Okay, so Rentley Blockerhon, is the son of Harriet and Boscha Blockerhon."
Hecate was shocked. "Shut up! Rentley is the son of the 67th Grudgeby captain?!"
"Why do you think he's the 69th?" Mildred chuckled. "Numbers. Anyway, let's just say, his Mom, always wanted her son to go on to do great things. She decided on his classes, his friend group and what sports he is allowed to play."
"So….If he's having his life decided by his mother then that means…."
Later, at a lake, Hecate was standing in the water to find the scales of a fsh. A green fish-like creature with scales as sharp as a knife and without eyes.
"Yup, she decided who she should date." Mildred confirmed.
"Right." Hecate stood in the not-boiling lake trying to catch the fsh and became baffled by something. "Wait, why did you take a long pause after I asked that question?"
"I don't know. Just felt like doing that." Mildred explained. "Anyway, she thought Jakob was the best option for her son because well, he was confident, berated everyone he came across and is just an obnoxious jerk. It makes me question if Boscha as his mother."
"No, I've seen his Dad." Hecate then raised an eyebrow. "He kind of looked like my Mom. I mean, dark robe and all."
Then one of the fshs jumped out of the lake and into the hands of Hecate which eventually jumped out. "Dang it!"
"Okay, about us and Rentley…."
Then, at the firebee hive, Hecate was digging into the hive to find firebee honey to help brew the potion.
"….We knew Rentley since our junior year."
Mildred starting the conversation again caused Hecate to shake and narrow her eyes at the girl. "Do you mind? I could have been stung and you know what happens when a fire bee stings."
"I don't." Mildred said. "As I was saying, when we knew Rentley he wasn't exactly a part of our friend group. He was quite shy and every time he spoke to us. He was always nervous. Either he was just shy or maybe he had a crush on one of us." She huffed and flicked her hair. "If it was me then…." She flicked her hair. "…He's gonna have to try and get a lot buffer."
"That's mean." Hecate remarked.
"What? I have a type." Mildred said. "I even have a ranking of the hottest buff witches. Spoiler alert: Evelyn's mom is number one."
"Backstory, please." Hecate requested before she managed to get a slab of the hive filled with some very fiery honey. "Got it!" Then a swarm of fire bees along with a bigger one following them from behind, presumably the queen.
Mildred stayed far behind while Hecate ran for her life, being chased by the fire bees. Mildred just noticed a small piece of honey and instantly ate a bit. She exhaled as some smoke escaped from her mouth. "Oh yeaaaah. Best mission ever."
Later, Hecate was tending her swollen skin with some medic leaves that she rubbed on her arms and face while Mildred explained the backstory.
"Then when we got into Hexside during our fourth year, Rentley began to go out with Jakob." Mildred explained. "We never saw any interaction between them so I just assumed that Boscha forced him and him to get together."
"She can't force her son to like someone." Hecate said.
"Actually, I think there was something between them." Mildred explained. "They had chemistry but as he got older, he became more spiteful towards us and Rentley still stayed with him. But reluctantly. Which makes me think it's his mother's doing. Until I see it, that's my theory."
"I assume he wishes to be friends with you instead?" Hecate asked.
"Perhaps." Mildred replied. "He is telling his boyfriend to be nicer to us but….You can tell he's doing a bit of a bad job with it."
"I'm surprised that he hasn't dumped him." Hecate then analysed the leaf before putting it in a small plastic bag. "Sweat covered med leaf."
"Eww." Mildred remarked.
"Says you! I've seen you clean plaque from your teeth with your finger nails." Hecate retorted.
"But did anyone else?" Mildred asked.
"Yes!" Hecate exclaimed.
Later, Hecate and Mildred were brewing the sleeping potion in a cauldron in the middle of the woods. Mildred was standing by the cauldron with a snapdragon in hand ready to administer the final ingredient.
"Can I put it in?" Mildred asked to an annoyed Hecate.
"No."
"Can I put it in?"
"No."
"Can I put it in?"
"No."
"Can I put it in?"
"No!" She exclaimed in annoyance. "And you're supposed to add two-thirds into the cauldron after a huge bubble explodes. Because if you don't…..Then something horrifying will happen. I don't know what would happen. I guess the author didn't have time to fill in that detail." She then stared at the cauldron. "I'm going to need more fire be honey. Two-thirds! Remember that!"
"Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!" Mildred said without a care in the world while Hecate left.
Once a big bubble popped, Mildred smiled knowing this was her moment. "Okay, let's go." She snipped a bit of the snapdragon into the cauldron and manically laughed as the liquid bubbled in the cauldron. "I don't even care if I got it wrong. I can't even do math!" She laughed louder.
Later, at the track, a lot of the Hexside students were in attendance waiting for the fight of the century between Evelyn Park and Jakob Widebent.
Many of the students were cheering and screaming in anticipation. Some of the students even brought snacks and drinks to the game.
Heck, even Ronda was dressed in a tinted visor hat since she was a bookie taking bets from students. "Okay! Okay! Okay! I got a lot of people betting on Jakob winning! Around….456 snails! Oh my Titan, that is impressive! Oh and whoever betted 19 snails on Evelyn winning is just being nice!"
Jakob stood on one side of the corner with Rentley looking around while Floz looked like she wanted to devour something.
"Where is the loser?!" Jakob exclaimed with his arms out. "I am ready to kick some butt! If not, I will punch Floz so hard that I will punch out her piercings."
"Yes!" Floz exclaimed before she realised something important. "Wait, what?"
"Where is she?!" Jakob exclaimed.
"Over here!" From out the crowd Evelyn walked out with a confident stride and a confident grin. "Ready to be beaten again? And this time not by a lunch tray?"
"Why is she suddenly confident?" Jakob asked before shrugging his shoulders. "Never mind, I don't care. I just want to beat her up."
Ronda removed her tinted hat and put on a coaches hat before she stood in the middle of the two. "Okay kids, this isn't a fight with rules, this fight could get us into trouble. So since this is that kind of fight, there's only one rule to this fight….No rules!" Ronda exclaimed before throwing her cap in the air. "Okay, begin the fight!" She stood back in the crowd to put her bookie hat back on. "Okay! Okay! Put your bets on! Put your bets on!"
In the crowd, Azura was there looking nervous while Mildred, Hecate and Manny were sitting on the bleachers together to get a better view and to get a better shot at Jakob.
"Okay, so what was the plan Azura had?" Mildred asked. "Put the inept Evelyn in the middle of a battlefield where she is most likely going to lose? Nice plan to save her cousin."
"Just watch." Manny replied as he flapped his hand in excitement and winced his shoulders.
In the battleground, Jakob threw the first spell which happened to be a simple fire spell that Evelyn caught in her hand and threw it back at him which he caught and deactivated it.
He was at first surprised by her reflex but shrugged it off as dumb luck and instead tried to summon some plants but the Grimwalker/Witch hybrid controlled the plants that he tried to control with one hand while she drew a glyph in the dirt with her foot.
Jakob noticed this and quickly shielded his eyes to protect himself from the shine except for the people in attendance whom were briefly blinded.
Then, Evelyn attached a vine around Jakob's ankle before pulling him to the ground, causing him to land on his rear.
Evelyn jumped up and tried to perform a powerful punch to his face but then Jakob whistled and caused Evelyn to fly backwards into a crowd. Which caught her and pushed her back in.
Jakob then whistled what appeared to be a bladed music note straight towards Evelyn which hit her arm, causing her to cringe as she pulled it out and then whistled it back towards him but he dodged it and then got a kick to the face from Evelyn.
The antagonist witch then tried to punch her but then she grabbed him by the wrist and threw him over his shoulder.
Back on the bleachers, Hecate and Mildred were both watching what was going on with genuine surprise. "Wait? How is Evelyn somehow fighting back?" Mildred asked.
"The Evelyn I know didn't have the confidence to well….Do anything!" Hecate exclaimed.
"That's because Azura hadn't told you the rest of the plan." Manny said.
"Wait, what?" Hecate asked.
"You see Azura in the crowd?"
"Uh huh." Mildred replied while Hecate instantly had it figured out. "Standing around in the crowd looking as nervous as Evelyn. While Evelyn is fighting with the confidence of Azura." In that moment Mildred eventually figured out what this meant. "Ooooh, right."
"Yeah, since Evelyn can't fight, Azura willingly took her place." Manny explained. "So the Evelyn you see fighting with all these spells is actually Azura casting an illusion spell on herself and Evelyn."
"What?!" Hecate exclaimed.
"I could have done that." Mildred reacted.
"She said you can't because you'd probably get lazy." Manny's response made Mildred laugh.
"She's right!" She proudly exclaimed.
"But, Azura can't keep that form." Hecate replied. "She's going to get exhausted and blow her cover."
"That's where the dart comes in." Manny replied. "When it looks like Azura's getting weak, shoot the dart straight into Jakob and he'll be out in seconds. Do you have the potion and the dart?"
"Yup." Mildred replied as she pulled it from her pocket.
"Check." Hecate flicked her wrist to reveal the dart.
"And to make sure the potion is working, I am going to take the first sip." Mildred was about to do it but then Hecate snatched it out of her hand. "No! You are not drinking the product."
"Okay, but don't use oracle magic to see how it works!" Mildred requested. "It ruins the fun."
"Alright, but don't drink a bit of the sleeping potion." Hecate requested.
"It's okay, I realised I didn't need it to sleep." Mildred then drew a spell circle around her head which caused her to be knocked out.
"Well, she didn't drink it." Manny said. "Let's see who wins."
Back with the fight, Jakob screamed before he began charging towards 'Evelyn' by throwing a barrage of fireballs at her. But then 'Evelyn' drew a spell circle that caused a pillar to rise below her to elevate her upwards.
Then, she jumped off and began to toss some fireballs straight at him. But Jakob managed to summon a wall made of water causing it to dispel the fire.
Then, 'Evelyn' made illusions of herself that all just laughed at Jakob. "You can't do illusions. You can't do illusions." They sang in unison and in a teasing sing-song voice.
Then, Jakob in anger, released a wave of fire that affected the illusions of 'Evelyn' except the one that was projecting the illusions, who just raised a shield made of rock.
Jakob in anger summoned some abomination shards that he began to throw towards 'Evelyn' who instantly panicked since she couldn't control Abominations. So, she quickly dodged all of them, except for one that was pierced in her arm.
She cringed as she pulled the piece out and yelping in pain once some blood began to pour out of her wound. She placed her hand there and tossed the Abomination back at him.
"You should have controlled it." Jakob remarked while he turned the shard into a sword. "Hmmm?" He began charging towards 'Evelyn' with hatred in his eyes.
'Evelyn' quickly summoned an ice sword and began a sword duel with him. They began to deflect every one of their respective hits. He tried to stab her leg that quickly got deflected.
Then, Jakob flicked a bit of Abomination on her face that she didn't even deflect. "What are you doing?!" 'Evelyn' asked angrily.
'Azura' stood in the crowd in fear knowing that the cover could be blown at any moment. "Uh oh." She said. If he found out then that would mean that Azura would be exposed.
Jakob continued to stare at 'Evelyn' with suspicion, wondering why she could control the Abomination. "I thought you could control, Abominations. Unless…." 'Evelyn' began to sweat, knowing that soon she will be exposed by Jakob. He may have been an idiotic bully, but he wasn't a dumb one.
But then, suddenly, a giant flower burst out of the ground, causing everyone to back off. 'Evelyn' and Jakob looked up at the giant plant as a booming voice was heard.
In that moment, 'Azura' began to panic as if she recognised that flower. They couldn't be here. They couldn't have come at the worst of times.
The flower opened up to reveal Hunter, Willow, O'Bailey and Palismen, looked rather disappointed. "Stop!" Willow commanded. "This fight is over!"
The flower lowered down to 'Evelyn's' level where her angry aunt and uncle narrowed their eyes angrily at her. "Evelyn…We want a good reason for this!" But she didn't say anything and just began to sweat.
"Evelyn…" Willow folded her arms. "We want you to give us a good reason for this."
"What?!" Jakob exclaimed. "Did you tell your parents about this?! How dare you!" Willow shot a silent glare at the young boy causing him to shake in fear and to back away from them.
"How about you kids?!" Hunter asked the kids before noticing something. "And….Ronda, is that you?"
Ronda froze, swiped her bag of snails and began to make a run for it. "It's not Ronda, it's….Wanda!"
"Evelyn, when we get home, remind us to call Eda about this." 'Evelyn' nodded her head while Hunter shook his head. "I wasn't talking to you, Azura."
Willow drew a spell circle and summoned a vine that reached into the crowd to pull out 'Azura' who was sweating nervously.
"Uh….." 'Azura' said suspiciously sounding like Evelyn.
"Wait….That's…." Before the shocked Jakob could say anything, he was hit in the neck by the dart, causing him to collapse on his back.
Hunter and Willow looked at the bleachers where they saw Hecate poorly hide the dart shooter behind her back. Then, she began to point at Manny.
The youngest Noceda saw what she was doing and instantly pointed at the sleeping Mildred. "Mildred, did it!"
Mildred shot up from her very long nap. "Huh? What?"
And in an instant, 'Evelyn' puffed back into Azura while 'Azura' puffed back into Evelyn. "Wait, how did you know?" Azura asked.
"Let's just say there was a snitch." Hunter took a glance towards Manny.
Azura was shocked by her brother's betrayal. "Manny?!"
"He never said anything about telling families!" Manny argued.
"It was implied, Manny." Hecate said.
Manny began to panic. "I'm not good with implications! I'm sorry!"
"It's okay." Hecate held on to his shoulder. "You didn't know."
Willow then noticed that her niece was bleeding from her arm. "Azura, you're bleeding."
"It's just a scratch." Azura assured her aunt. "No biggie. I can just patch it up in no time."
"No, stay still." Willow drew a healing spell circle and placed it on her niece's arm to heal for her. "Now it might take some time. I'm not perfect but I can do it."
Hunter then turned to his terrified daughter and sighed. "Evelyn, walk with me." Hunter and Evelyn began to walk away from the ground. But while doing that, he turned to the others. "I told your parents as well. So don't think you are out of the woods."
"I know." Hecate sighed sadly. "My mom's going to kill me."
"Don't forget the resurrection spell if you don't want it to be permanent." Mildred said.
Willow continued to heal her niece who looked at her aunt rather sheepishly. "Soooo….I'm assuming you're mad?"
"I'm furious." Willow replied. "Taking the form of my daughter just to kick Jakob's butt and just for a fight and knocking him out with that sleeping dart."
"Yeaaaaah." Azura said. "In my defence, he deserves it."
"The sleeping dart, yes." Willow agreed. "It is a sleeping dart, right?"
"I specified with Hecate and Mildred." Azura replied.
But unbeknownst to them, Jakob as twitching for whatever reason and his nails were beginning to turn into claws.
Back with Hunter and Evelyn, the two sat down together and just stared at each other. Evelyn quickly turned away from her Dad while he sighed.
"So you were drafted to fight?" Hunter asked.
"I'm sorry, Dad. He….He wanted to hurt us." Evelyn explained. "He was also planning to take O'Bailey."
"You know I would never allow that, right?" Hunter asked. "Plus, O'Bailey is loyal, he never would leave us. Listen Evelyn, I appreciate the fact that you didn't want to fight, but you should have told me."
"I know." Evelyn said.
"It was a risk." Hunter said. "You could have been hurt, regardless of what the outcome would be."
"I know." Evelyn said with guilt. "But Azura was insistent."
"Of course she did." Hunter said. "Look, if you couldn't back down from the fight, I would have taught you self defence if you wanted to defend yourself against Jakob."
"I would like to….But…..But….But…." Evelyn stuttered. "….I….I just don't want to screw up."
Hunter smiled at his daughter. "Come on. Don't worry about it."
Evelyn just sweat. "I feel more comfortable when no one's watching."
Hunter laughed at what his daughter said. "Who are you defending yourself from then? Okay, we don't need to do it. But I can describe it." Hunter stood up which made Evelyn hesitant.
"No thanks Dad." Evelyn said.
"Don't worry, it's just simple." Hunter gave his daughter an assuring look. "It's simple. Believe me, this was the first thing that was taught to me. Okay, when an enemy starts sneaking up on you, probably trying to perform a punch, here's what you do. You grab them by the wrist like so…" He began to demonstrate with the air around him. "….Lower your centre of gravity and toss them over your shoulder."
"I mean….Seems simple enough." Evelyn remarked. "But what if I get it wrong? And why are you teaching me?"
"I want to help build your confidence." Hunter replied as he sat back down with his daughter. "I know you're struggling with it. And I'm sorry."
"Why are you sorry?" Evelyn asked her Dad.
"Because I get so overprotective all the time." Hunter replied. "I feel like I'm ruining your confidence by being constantly worried all the time for your safety. Am I…Hurting you in someway?"
Evelyn began to panic instantly. "No! No! Dad, it's not you! It's…." Suddenly, they heard the sound of a monstrous roar and the sound of students screaming in terror that startled them.
"What's going on?" Hunter asked.
"Dad, I think it's coming from over there." Evelyn pointed to where the fight was and the two instantly panicked.
"Willow!" Hunter cried out for his wife while Waffles turned into staff mode.
"Dad, what's going on?" Evelyn asked.
"Evelyn, stay back." Hunter commanded before teleporting back to the track to see what was going on. When he arrived however, he was in for a shock.
His wife, his dog, his wife's Palisman, his niece, his nephew, Rentley and a few of the students were all knocked out by some kind of quill in their necks. "What the heck?" Hunter removed all of them and checked their pulses. He sighed in relief once he knew that they were alive.
"Mr Park!" Hecate called out from behind one of the bleachers. "You need to run!"
"Why?" Hunter asked before he looked to where Jakob was. "Where is he?"
Then, from behind a bleach across him, a ginormous monster with the body of a griffin, the quills of a porcupine and the head of a fish popped out and gave a loud growl.
"If you're referring to Jakob, that's him!" Mildred replied while pointing at the monster.
Hunter looked shocked at the monster that was currently snarling at him with hunger in their eyes. It snarled viciously at Hunter, whom had prepared his Palisman.
"If you want these kids, come claim them." Hunter got into a defence position. "Come here!"
The Jakob Monster began to charge towards the Palisman carver who then teleported away from the monster, causing a lot of confusion for the monster. He began to look around the track for them until he heard Hunter.
"Hey! Ugly! Come over here!" He blew a raspberry at the creature before running and being chased by the creature.
While this went on, the real Hunter was hiding behind the bleachers while Hecate projected a perfect illusion of him that was being chased by the Jakob monster.
"Okay, Manny told me that you two were the one that administered the potion." Hunter said. "Why wasn't it a sleeping potion?"
"It was meant to be." Hecate replied. "But I don't know where I went wrong. I got the correct amount of firebee honey and I got the scale of a fsh. Where did I go wrong?" Then Hecate and Hunter's face turned to a frown as they realised something. "Or where did you go wrong?" They turned to Mildred who looked like she didn't care.
"Okay, I might have gotten one third and two thirds mixed up." Mildred said.
"Why?!" Hecate asked. "I made it clear!"
"I can't do math." Mildred replied. "I never listened to my math lessons."
"What?!" Hecate exclaimed.
"It's true. Her Dad tells me that all the time." Hunter said.
"But luckily…I figured something like this would happen….And didn't bring the cauldron." Mildred said.
"Uh….." Hecate exclaimed.
"Hecate, do you by any chance know how to reverse the effects of what happened to Jakob?" Hunter asked.
Hecate began to think about what she could do. "Hmmm…..I don't know. It's usually best to let the effects where off. But since this is something I've never seen before, maybe I could find a way to reverse the effects of the potion. We still have a bit left, conveniently and thankfully not drunk by Mildred."
"I want a drink it more now!" Mildred said.
"No!" Hecate said. "I need to reverse the effect. It will take me about 10 minutes. Once I'm done, I'll administer the cure. All I need is for someone to distract it. I can't hold that illusion of you forever, Mr Park."
"Fair enough." Hunter said while Evelyn eventually caught up with everyone.
"What's going on?" Evelyn asked.
Mildred cracked her neck. "I turned Jakob into a monster and now I'm gonna distract him while Hecate administers the cure." She stood out of the bleachers. "Hey Jakob!" Then, the girl was hit by multiple quills, causing her to collapse.
Hunter, Evelyn and Hecate just looked on with unimpressed looks. "She definitely did that on purpose." Evelyn said.
"As bright as day." Hecate said.
Hunter stood up and removed all the multiple quills from Mildred's skin and moved her aside to her friends. "Hey Jakob!" The Jakob creature roared before firing some quills straight towards him.
He teleported right above the creature while flying on Waffles. The Jakob creature tried to grab Hunter with his claws but fortunately missed him.
"Hey!" Hunter then jumped on his head and began tickling its scales. But then, it threw him off and tried to hit him with more quills. Hunter quickly deflected them back at him by spinning his staff. He was going to do this for a long time so he better not get tired.
Ten minutes later, Hunter was still dodging the creature while trying to make sure he didn't crush any of the unconscious bodies.
While in the back of the bleachers, Hecate was stirring the potion in an anticlockwise direction to reverse the effects of its effects. "Evelyn, am I going clockwise or anticlockwise?" Hecate asked. "I can never tell."
Evelyn looked. "I think you're going anticlockwise. You better hurry. I don't know how long Dad can handle him."
"Don't worry, I've done this many times." Hecate assured her friend. "I could probably finish this in a short time. Enough to save your dad." Then the orange liquid suddenly turned into a mixture of red and yellow which made her smile. "Yes! I did it. Time to administer this…" Suddenly, a quill hit her in the arm. "….Ow." She then collapsed, but thankfully, without destroying the vial filled with the cure.
"Ah! Hecate!" Evelyn exclaimed before picking up the potion, knowing that she had to be the one. Or maybe her Dad could do it.
She picked up the vial, dipped a thorn in the potion, picked the quill out of Hecate and began running toward where her dad was trying dodge the beast. She saw that he was now dodging every quill by teleporting around him. "Dad!" She called out to him.
Hunter took one glance at his daughter which caused him to get a quill in his chest. "Dad!" Evelyn cried out.
The beast performed a ginormous roar until he suddenly felt something prick him. He looked down and saw Evelyn pricking a thorn into his leg with a look of anger in her eyes.
Then, the beast got weak as it slowly turned back into Jakob, whom was now unconscious and thankfully fully clothed. Despite turning into a beast, his clothes magically stayed on him as soon as he reverted back.
Evelyn gave a sigh of relief before she realised something. "Wait, how did I get here so fast?" She looked down at her unconscious Dad and removed the quill from his chest. She smiled at his unconscious body and patted his head. "Wish you saw me, Dad."
Suddenly, she felt a strong grip holding on to her which felt like a very strong hug. "Evelyn!" Willow exclaimed. "Thank Titan, your safe!"
"Mom?!" Evelyn exclaimed. "You're okay?! Did the quills where off?"
"They did after 15 minutes." Willow replied. "Waffles told me as soon as I woke up."
Azura, Manny, O'Bailey, Rentley and Clover all approached Evelyn with impressed looks on their faces. "Nice job." Manny said.
"How did you manage to defeat the Jakob monster?" Azura asked while O'Bailey jumped on his owner, giving her some kisses.
Evelyn looked baffled however. It was like she teleported but she didn't feel it. "I don't know."
"However you did it, you did great." Azura complimented before a crow phone landed on her shoulder and cawed. "Ahhh!"
"Azura Hecate Noceda!" Amity yelled. "And Manny Caleb Noceda! You two are in big trouble when you get home. Starting fights?! Didn't me and your Mami raise you to be better! You two better have a good explanation."
The crow flew away, leading to a nervous Azura and a terrified Manny, whom was holding on to Azura's leg. "Are our Moms going to kill us?"
Azura picked up her brother and began to carry him back home. "Well, Mom maybe, but Mami could probably talk her way to make sure we're off the hook."
Willow picked up her unconscious husband and began to carry him over her back. "Come on, Evelyn, let's go home." They began to walk back home. "I've contacted your friend's parents. They'll be there in no time."
Rentley was tending to his unconscious boyfriend whom was groaning in pain. "Are you okay, dear?" Rentley asked.
But instead of responding, Jakob just stood up and narrowed his eyes at his rival. "You!" He began stomping towards the witch, whom was ignoring him. "What were you thinking? Having your own cousin pretend to be you in order to beat me?! I mean, I should have known something when you weren't controlling my Abominations. You two are Half-A-Witches but at least I can admit one thing!"
He placed his hand on Evelyn's shoulders, but then she grabbed his wrist and threw him over her shoulder and smashed him on the ground. He groaned in some kind of pain while Willow looked to her daughter with a disappointed look that changed to a smile.
"Self defence. Did your Dad teach you that?"
Instead of being proud, Evelyn was quite shocked that she just did that. She began to freak out before she began to run back home while her Mom watched on with a baffled look on her face. It then turned into a smile as she kissed her unconscious husband's hand. "Honey, our daughter has made us proud."
After Willow left, Rentley approached his unconscious boyfriend and kissed him on his forehead. "Text me when you're interested in taking an interested in the Belos supporters."
A while later, Jakob was still laying on his back trying to take in what had happened. He couldn't have been beaten by that Half-A-Witch, he couldn't have. He was in disbelief.
Then, two robed strangers approached the young boy. One short and another tall and muscular. He turned to the two strangers in surprise with wide eyes.
"Oh, it's you two. Got a job for me?" He asked.
"An important one." The muscular figure replied with a muffled voice. "A very important one."
