It was another day at Hexside and Azura was hanging out with her friends. Which included the heavily bruised Hecate, the lazy Mildred and the nervous Evelyn. They were currently walking down the corridor having just seen Hecate again.
Before Azura could ask Hecate if she were okay, a witch with three horns on his head and brown fur approached Azura. "Hey Azura."
"Oh hey, Clarence." Azura said. "What's up?"
"Listen, my friends are going to that new bar that opened in town and I was wondering if you wanted to come?" Clarence asked. "My partner and their sister will be there."
Azura cringed. "Sorry Clarence….But….I have extra, extra homework tonight so I don't know if I can."
Clarence looked disappointed. "Oh. Okay. Maybe next time." He walked away.
"Maybe never." Azura mumbled to herself which didn't go unnoticed by Hecate who gave Azura a suspicious stare.
But before anyone could put focus on the topic, Azura turned to her friend. "You are okay, right Hecate?" Azura asked her friend.
"Yeah I'm fine." Hecate assured her. "I mean, it did hurt like a snapdragon but I'm just glad I could be back at Hexside with everyone even after being beaten to a pulp by the Province."
"Speaking of Province, isn't Jakob a member?" Mildred asked her friends.
"Not just Jakob, but also Terra Snapdragon, my grandma Blight and Tibbles." Azura replied.
"That pig?" Mildred looked surprised. "He's scamming, dude."
"What? He's a member." Azura argued.
But Mildred didn't look convinced. "People have gotten wiser to his scams and he is desperate for cash. So he's moving on to the most gullible idiots on the Isles."
"He was there and he seemed knee-deep into it." Hecate said.
"Again, scamming." Mildred argued.
"And Rentley?" Evelyn asked her friends.
"What about him?" Azura asked.
"Yeah, what about him?" When Mildred asked Evelyn, she had her brow raised.
"I mean, he can't be still with him! He's too good for him."
"Rentley is staying with Jakob so he could get some information out of him." Azura replied. "Up until the right moment. Which could take a while but I'm confident it'll not take long, let's say about three months."
Evelyn groaned. "But did Jakob see him when he infiltrated the Province?"
"We can't tell." Azura replied while looking at Rentley and Jakob whom were walking down the corridor together. Hand-in-hand.
"Hey Jakob, what is your opinion on that attention seeking Province?" Rentley asked his boyfriend.
"I feel indifferent." Jakob replied before noticing Evelyn. "Oh hey, Grimwitch."
Evelyn sighed as she stopped outside her locker. "Can you leave me alone, Jakob? I don't care what you have to say."
"Oh really Grimwitch?" Jakob laughed while Rentley sighed.
"Jakob, please." Rentley pleaded. "Let them be."
Jakob groaned. "Blockerhon, why are you insistent on arguing?" He huffed as he stomped toward Evelyn.
"What do you even want?" Evelyn asked.
"Jakob, whatever you're doing, don't." Azura said. "You saw what Evelyn did to you the other day."
"Oh yeah, I wanted to have a word with you about that." Jakob then shoved Evelyn against her locker which caused to gain everyone's attention.
"Ow." The locker said. "That hurt man."
"You shouldn't have taken me down like that!" Jakob yelled angrily. "You're Evelyn Park! The weakest Half-A-Witch the Boiling Isles has seen!"
"But she did, son!" Mildred retorted.
"Enough Evelyn!" Jakob yelled. "Don't make me go through your deepest, darkest secrets while you sleep!"
For a brief moment, Mildred's eye twitch while she kept a smug composure. "Go ahead and try. You won't be prepared for the horrors I've seen."
Jakob turned back to Evelyn. "You should be confident enough to take me out like that. And to prove you're not confident, you, me, Grudgeby match! Tomorrow. And no, it's not optional before you try and back out!"
"What if she doesn't do it?" Azura asked.
"Well…" Rentley grabbed Evelyn by her collar and tossed her on the floor. "….Then every time I come anywhere near her, I shall toss her to the floor right where she belongs." He took Rentley's hand and dragged him down the corridor. The three eyed witch did manage to mouth 'Sorry' to his friends. "And if you lose, then you've just proved my point."
Hecate helped her friend up and gave her a sympathetic stare. "You okay?"
Evelyn groaned. "No. It's hopeless. Jakob's going to win. I can't do Grudgeby.."
Azura and Hecate gave her sympathetic stares as they placed their hands on her shoulder. Mildred at first was giving an empathetic stare at Evelyn but then she said something very Mildred. "Well, you're screwed then."
