Ok, so Rory did have to admit that the food was nice, well to be honest it was frankly quite delicious, she also didn't want to admit to Logan or indeed herself that she was having the best night she'd ever had in years and Logan had ignited that spark she hadn't felt for so so long. Was it time to just accept that this was meant to be?-

Her thoughts were interrupted by Logan reaching out his hands and placed it on Rory's. A shiver of electricity ran down Rory's body and her heart started thumping overtime.

"Penny for your thoughts, ace" Logan said, giving her a smile that made her dizzy.

"I'm wondering about this relationship" Rory answered truthfully, that cute furrow gently curving her brows.

"Care to explain further Ror? I'll give you way more than a penny if you want" Logan said delicately squeezing her hand.

"I'm starting to wonder if this is meant to be" Rory answered looking into those warm chocolatey eyes she loved so much.

Logan leaned right across the table so close their faces nearly touched, she felt his sweet breath mingle with hers as he leant into her ear to whisper,

"I have never been so sure about anything in my life, ace, anything" he whispered.

Rory knew she couldn't trust herself to act logically when he was so very overwhelmingly close so she leaned back and after a couple of seconds he followed. Rory tried to break the tense silence,

"So, you haven't talked about your job, or are you still working for Huntzberger senior?" Rory asked.
Logan seemed to consider his answer for a second or so.

"Well the first year I flew to Canada because Mitchum told me to but then after half a year or so I realised that I was not a child anymore and I didn't have to follow his orders.." Logan trailed off.

"And then?"

Rory asked determined to keep the conversation going and prolong the inevitable conversation after of what next in their relationship. She honestly no answer to that one yet.

Logan smiled and stroked her hand, "And then I spent half a year being a stupid Partyanimal"

"What?" Rory asked confused.

"You know, life and death brigade, jumping off cliffs and parachuting and dangerous yacht rides, you know" Logan said looking ashamed.

Rory suddenly looked so angry she was going to explode.

"But I changed I promise, now I've gotten a job and I'm over it, I am responsible now I promise" Logan said explaining trying to figure out why Rory was so very angry.

"You couldv'e gotten hurt! Do you know what that would've done to me?!" Rory almost shouted over him.

Logan paused, "Your not angry because I was irresponsible?"

"NO, I'm angry because you could've gotten hurt!" Rory yelled.

A moments silence filled the darkness,

"You are way too good for me, ace" Logan said reaching out with his other hand to stroke her cheek.

Rory had seemingly calmed down at his touch and asked,

"And then?"

"Here comes the good bit Gilmore, I got a job at The New York times! I've changed, ace, I absolutely love my job"

"That's amazing!" Rory said standing up from her seat rushing over to him and hugging him.

He replied with one of those amazing hugs she had missed so much. He pulled her into his lap,

"What about you, Gilmore? What have you been up to?"
