pLogan pulled her into his lap, cuddling her into his cheast, so that even if Rory did want to go from his grasp, which she didn't, then she wouldn't be able to escape.
"So what have you been up to?" Logan asked, rocking her almost like a baby.
"It's just going to bore you" Rory said playing with his hair
"Nothing to do with you will ever bore me, ace, I have 2 years worth of catching up to do and be prepared that I want to know absolutely every detail" Logan said gently kissing the top of her head.
"Well for the first year I was kind of in between jobs- and houses for that matter" rory said trying to think logically and get the words out without being so utterly overwhelmed by his physical presence.
Logan laughed at how her heart was stuttering, he experimentally placed another kiss on the top of her head and cocked his head at how her heart had just skipped several beats.
"That's embarrassing" Rory said going red, trying to hide how much she had enjoyed it, trying to keep her head focused.
"I thought it was rather sweet, Gilmore, no need to blush" Logan said teasingly nudging her.
"Continue Rory, what did you mean by in between houses?" Logan said whispering in her ear and gently stroking her hands.
"Well I stayed 2 months at Mum's, 1 month or 2 at Laine's, stayed with dad for a bit, went back to Mum's- the list continues for ages" Rory said ticking the places off of her fingers and then giving up.
"Sound like you had quite the voyage, what happened next? You're getting me sucked into the story, Gilmore" Logan said eagerness in his tone.
"And then I got a job at the New York times… Wait, didn't you say you got a job there too?" Rory said sitting up a little.
"Yes, ace, I did" He said smiling.
"How come I never saw you around office?" Rory said confusion in her tone.
"The New York times is very large and has many buildings dedicated to it, I worked at a different department therefore in a different building, Honestly Gilmore, the things you don't know" Logan said mock tutting.
"What department?" Rory asked, curious now.
"It is my turn to question you now, ace, you can't interrupt my turn" Logan said grinning.
"You can be very childish sometimes, Huntzberger, you do know that, right?" Rory huffed.
"Of course, now continue the story or I'm going to have to resort to cringy Shakespeare quotes and torture you till you tell me" Logan joked, playfully bonking her on the head.
Rory laughed turning around and poking him on his flawless nose, he retorted with a gentle tap on her forehead. They ended up tangled on the chair, both laughing hysterically.
Logan grabbed her wrists delicately as she tried a revenge for a particularly well aimed knock on her ear he had perfected,
"Look what we are doing, playing about like children" Logan said grinning at her and looking into her eyes with that melted chocolate kind of look she was partial to.
"You are a very bad influence" Rory said smiling,
He gently placed her back onto his lap, cuddling her into his cheast again,
"So, how is life like as an official New York Times journalist?" he asked
"Very good thank you very much" she said with a mock serious tone.
She let out a yawn, she tried to hide it from Logan desperate to prolong the inevitable drive home, and the inevitable future after. She wasn't prepared for that yet, it was so nice just to talk to him, like a weight that had been on her shoulder for years had been taken off.
A Shakespeare quote popped into her mind, 'ensconcing ourselves into seeming knowledge, when we should submit ourselves into the unknown fear'
She realised she was pretty exhausted.
"c'mon ace, it's getting cold and very late" Logan said, gently rising. Helping her to her feet., gently rising. Helping her to her feet./p
