Chapter 10: New Students!
~In Kita, Tokyo, Last Week~
An exaggerated sigh left a male's lips as he stood in front of an apartment door. His pink hair covering his left eye as he stared at the door. The sound of the door next to him opened revealing another male with black hair with blue tips. The other male tiredly rubbing his eyes.
"Jiro? What are you doing? You know Daniel moved awhile ago, he's not there." The male told him with a yawn.
"I know, but I miss hiiiiiiiim." Jiro whined laying his head on the door.
Hikari sighed. "I miss him too, but you've been doing this every day. I'm surprised Yuri hasn't punched you yet." He told the male.
"Yuri wouldn't do that... Okay, he might, but that's why Riku is with him all the time." Jiro argued.
"Just come inside if you're going to stand out his old apartment all day, I'll make some breakfast and call over Yuri and Riku. We can all hang out today." Hikari suggested as Jiro looked back to the door.
"Not all of us..." Jiro muttered but reluctantly went inside Hikari's apartment and took a seat at the table just as a door opened.
"Oh, Jiro, you're here again... Early." A male's voice said, seeing Jiro in his home.
"Hello, Mr. Saga, good morning!" Jiro greeted with a smile on his face.
"Hey, father, I'm calling the others to join us for breakfast, I hope that's alright," Hikari told his father as the male rubbed his temple.
"Alright, alright. It's fine, just don't be so loud." He told them as he headed to the bathroom.
"He got another hangover, don't worry about it," Hikari whispered to Jiro as the pink-haired male nodded.
Thirty minutes later and two others came over to Hikari's place as Hikari's fathers were sitting at the table with Jiro.
"Hey, Yuri, Riku. Come on in, Breakfast is ready." Hikari told the two with a smile, more awake than he was earlier as the two males went inside.
"Good morning, Riku, Yuri! Glad of you two to join us for breakfast." One of Hikari's dad told the two males, a bright, energetic smile on his face.
"Morning," Yuri replied, taking a seat next to Riku as said male waved with a smile. Yuri just laid his head on the table as Riku patted his black locks with a silent giggle.
"Hope you guys like pancakes," Hikari told them, setting the table and placing the pancakes with it.
"Who doesn't!?" Jiro commented before taking four pancakes.
"I prefer waffles," Yuri commented, yet taking a couple of pancakes as Riku was already eating his plate of pancakes.
Hikari's father drinks some coffee while rubbing his temple, with an obvious headache, and lets out a sigh. His husband just rubs his arm sympathetically before turning to the others.
"So, what are you four going to do today?" Hikari's dad asked, drinking some orange juice.
"Hang out at Yuri's place again most likely." Jiro shrugged earning a small glare from Yuri but the male didn't say anything.
"That sounds fun, say hello to your parents for me." Hikari's dad told them.
"We will," Hikari told them as they all enjoyed their breakfast.
As soon as breakfast was over the four teenagers headed towards Yuri's home, it wasn't a mansion, but it was a very expensive-looking home.
"I'll never get over how you live in such a place, Yuri," Jiro said looking up at the home.
"You've been saying that every time you come over," Yuri replied heading inside, followed by the others.
"Oh, Yuri! You're back so soon? I see you brought your friends." Yuri's mother said as she entered the living room, wearing an apron and gloves with some dirt on her clothes.
"Hello, Mrs. Nakamura!" Jiro answered with Hikari as Riku just waved with a smile.
"Yeah, we're going to be hanging out," Yuri told his mother.
"I would give you all a hug, but I'm quite the mess as you can tell." She chuckled. "I'll be taking a shower and getting paperwork done if you need me!" She told the four, heading upstairs.
Once she was out of sight the four headed up and relaxed in Yuri's room. Jiro was already setting up Yuri's game system so they could play some games, but Jiro was still upset about having one of their best friends being so far away. He wasn't being subtle about it either.
"Just call him if you miss him so much," Yuri told the pink-ette, his arms around Riku's waist as the silent male was on his lap.
"I can't be the only one missing him, Yuri! Besides he's probably in school still." Jiro sighed, sitting back on one of the beanbags in Yuri's room.
"We all miss Daniel, stupid. You just show it more and are annoying about it." Yuri replied, laying his head on Riku's shoulder as Riku held a controller.
"Let's just focus on other things, look, this is new, right Yuri?" Hikari told them as he picked out the videogame for them to play.
While the childhood friends spent the day playing games Yuri's mom was on the phone.
"Hi, honey. Have you got any process on the transfer?... Yeah, they're all still bummed out by Daniel's move... Jiro's mother is okay with it, so are Riku and Hikari's parents... Yeah, four kids transferring schools is tough, especially when they don't know about it... I love you too... I'll tell them tomorrow, then next week they can go to Ouran with Daniel. Bye!" Yuri's mom finished the call with a big smile on her face.
~In Bunkyo, Tokyo, Present Day~
Once the weekend was over and Daniel was at school. As all fangirls did they went over and asked him about what he did with the Twins, hoping for as many details they could get about their favorite brothers. They didn't get a lot out of Daniel, just short answers, but that was Daniel for them.
Things settled down once Daniel got to his desk in class, he was prepared for another normal day at Ouran Academy as the school's secret crossdresser.
"Settle down, class. Today we have some new students joining us." The teacher announced causing students to question who these students were. "Please come in and introduce yourselves." The teacher said opening the door to let the new students in.
"Hello! I'm Jiro Yusaki from Kita." A male said. The name made Daniel quickly look up with his eyes widening as he spotted the pink-haired male along with a shorter male with black and blue hair.
"Um, my name is Hikari Saga, I too come from Kita." The other teen told the class with a smile.
"No way," Daniel muttered to himself as he saw two of his childhood friends in the school's uniform in his class.
"Alright, with introductions out of the way, go find an empty seat and we can get on with class." The teacher told Jiro and Hikari, said two doing what the teacher said and finding their seats.
Daniel could tell they recognized him because of Jiro's big grin on his face when he spotted him and sat next to him. "Surprise," Jiro whispered to him.
"What are you guys doing here?" Daniel whispered back.
"Yuri's dad managed to get the four of us enrolled here." He answered.
"Everyone's here?" Daniel asked in shock.
"Yup and they'll see you wearing the girl's uniform, crossdresser." Jiro grinned as Daniel glared at him.
"Shut up and pay attention to class." Daniel huffed, ending their conversation. Jiro letting out a quiet chuckle in response.
~At The Host Club After School~
Daniel had mixed feelings about his friends going to school with him now. A part of him was happy he would be able to see his friends more often, but the other part... Well...
"Boss, what are we going to do?" The twins asked as the Host Club members, minus Daniel was huddled in a corner.
"I don't see what's the problem, they're Daniel's friends," Haruhi commented as she was forced to be in this huddle.
When they looked back towards Daniel and his childhood friends, he was being held in a hug while struggling for his life.
"Let go of me, asshole!" Daniel exclaimed as he tried pushing Jiro away.
"Come on, Daniel! We missed you! Plus, you look so cute dressed as a girl!" Jiro cooed, squishing the other's cheeks.
"How come you didn't tell us you crossdressed now?" Hikari asked as Daniel pushed Jiro's face away from his own.
"I don't, it's complicated," Daniel replied with grit teeth, holding himself back from punching his clingy friend.
Riku quickly went up to Daniel with his eyes sparkling as he made rapid hand movements before pointing to the cake where Honey-Senpai's area was.
"Uh, you'll have to get permission. Honey-Senpai! Riku wants to have some cake, do you mind?" Daniel called over the small blonde who happily went over to greet them.
"Yeah! Come on, I can show you my favorite type of cake!" Honey exclaimed hurrying off with Riku following after.
"So these are your friends? Hi, I'm Haruhi." Haruhi introduced herself walking over to the remaining four.
"Yeah, this is Jiro, Hikari is the one with the blue highlights and this is Yuri and the one who just left with Honey is Riku." Daniel introduced to her once getting free from Jiro's grasp.
"Gasp! You're a crossdresser too!? You must be the girl Daniel told us about! You're so pretty!" Jiro quickly exclaimed, coming over and holding her face.
"Hey! Get off of my Haruhi!" Tamaki exclaimed, the blonde fussing about Jiro's lack of personal space.
"Hey, aren't you going to introduce us to your other friends?" Yuri asked with a blank face as he looked to the others.
"I wouldn't say that," Daniel grumbled to himself quietly, but let out a sigh. "The blonde having a tantrum is Tamaki-Senpai, these two are Honey and Mori-Senpai. You know Haruhi, the twins are Hikaru and Kaoru, and the one with the glasses is Kyoya-Senpai." Daniel told them.
"Yeah, now that introductions are out of the way, why don't you four just leave," Hikaru snapped.
"Hey, you don't get to decide that, Hikaru!" Daniel shouted.
"What's your deal? You can't tell us we can't hang out with Daniel." Yuri replied, turning away and heading over where Riku was with Honey and Mori.
Hikaru just grits his teeth in anger in response. "Hikaru, what's your problem?" Daniel asked making the redhead look over at Daniel.
"What's my problem? My problem is that you already have us as your friends, you don't need anyone else!" Hikaru exclaimed.
"That's not for you to decide! I can have as many friends as I want, the world doesn't revolve around you, Hikaru. Grow up and stop acting like a spoiled brat!" Daniel snapped as Hikaru clenched his fists.
Hikaru soon stormed off, leaving the Host Club, fuming. "Hikaru, wait up!" Kaoru shouted running after his brother.
"Something tells me he doesn't like us very much," Hikari stated with a nervous smile.
"It's alright, he'll get over it," Daniel told him, but he couldn't help but feel bad for shouting at Hikaru like that. It was his fault for starting it, what did he have against his friends?
"I never saw Hikaru get that upset before," Haruhi commented.
"Well, Hika-chan and Kao-chan never really hung out with other people before. I've known them since preschool and they only interacted with themselves." Honey told them.
"Yeah, I've only known them since last year before the Host Club started and they always seemed so exclusive," Tamaki commented.
"So you guys are his first friends?" Hikari commented.
"It explains quite a bit, he thinks we're trying to replace him as friends," Jiro noted for the others.
"Now I feel bad," Daniel muttered.
"Well, Hikaru still shouldn't have said those things," Haruhi said.
"Yeah, and I guess I shouldn't have yelled back." Daniel sighed. "I'll go find them." He said heading out to find the twins.
It took a bit to find them with how big the school was, but he succeeded. The two were out in the garden, sitting on a bench. He was about to head over before hearing them talk.
"That was quite an outburst, don't you think?" Kaoru told Hikaru as Hikaru was hunched over.
"You were upset about it too," Hikaru replied.
"Maybe I was, but that didn't mean to act like that. You should go apologize. I'm sure Daniel will appreciate it." Kaoru told his brother, rubbing his back.
Hikaru only looked away before noticing Daniel, quickly sitting up as Daniel nervously walked over.
"Uh, I'm sorry for calling you a spoiled brat," Daniel told Hikaru making the other's eyes widen briefly before looking away.
"... I'm... I'm sorry too," Hikaru muttered, barely loud enough for Daniel to hear.
"You'll always be my friend, so you don't have to be upset if I make more. I'm not replacing you" Daniel told him, feeling a bit awkward doing this sort of thing. "So... Come back to the others, you don't have to like my other friends, but I'd like it if you tried getting along." Daniel said, rubbing his arm slightly. He didn't know what else to say so Daniel ended with telling them he'll see them back at the club before leaving.
Once Daniel was out of sight Kaoru looked over to Hikaru who sat up. "So, are you going to give Daniel's friends a chance?" Kaoru asked him.
Hikaru didn't respond right away but eventually nodded. "I'll try." He replied.
When Daniel came back to the Host Club he was relieved to find everyone getting along. Riku and Yuri were eating cake with Honey and Mori, Hikari and Haruhi were talking, and Jiro and Tamaki were both being idiots, and Kyoya, well the raven-ette was writing in his journal while observing everyone.
Haruhi was the first one to notice Daniel's return and walked over. "How did it go?" She asked him as Hikari followed after.
"He apologized, but I'm not sure if he'll continue to act out when he and Kaoru come back," Daniel replied.
They were interrupted when the twins came back. "Hikaru, Kaoru, you're back!" Tamaki said.
"Yeah," Hikaru said slightly in response before looking towards Daniel's friends. "I'm sorry." He told them, awkwardly. Jiro was the first one to respond.
"Don't worry about it." Jiro grinned.
Even though things have seeming got resolved Daniel could tell it would take some time before Hikaru could get used to his friends being around more, he was just glad to see him trying to get along.
