Chapter 13: The Sun, the Sea, and the Host Club!

"Are we really going to the ocean?" Daniel asked nervously.

"Yup! Don't worry, it'll be fun! It won't be like last time." Honey told him.

"You forget I still can't swim," Daniel replied.

"We did offer you special lessons." The Twins told him.

"From you two, no way in hell." Daniel immediately told them before looking out the window of the limo taking them to their destination.

All Daniel could do was stare off into the ocean as he stayed on the safety of the beach on his towel. He had to admit it did look pretty, but he was a little disappointed and relieved that their guests were there. He should've known they wouldn't have another vacation like at that water park.

He could see the others playing and having fun with the guests, he was glad he was able to relax without someone trying to do something with him and forcing him to do anything.

"Danielle! Come and swim with us!" A couple of girls walked over, smiling brightly at the other.

The thought of swimming caused a bit of anxiety gnawing at his stomach as he looked down at his one-piece. "N-No, I'm good staying on land." He told the girls.

"Aww, come on, you should show off your bathing suit. It'll be fun!" They told him with a giggle, taking no for an answer as he was suddenly pulled up and dragged to the water.

"N-no! I'm not a good swimmer." He exclaimed resisting with all of his might as they got closer and closer to the water.

"Heads up!" He heard as the girls scattered barely giving him time to look behind him seeing a volleyball heading straight for him. He grunted as it hit his chest causing him to fall back and into the water.

Daniel sat up, drenched as he saw Hikaru snickering. "Sorry about that." The redhead told him, not even bothering to hide that he was laughing. Daniel glared at him and splashed him with water. "Hey!" Hikaru exclaimed but kept a grin on his face.

"It's a major haul!" Haruhi's voice called out causing them to look over. "It's a major haul! Dinner's going to be awesome!" Haruhi smiled brightly as she and Honey were surrounded by shellfish. Daniel got out of the water and started wringing his hair out as he headed over as Tamaki picked up a crab.

"Hey, Haruhi, tell me something. Isn't this crab, CRAB-tivating." Tamaki grinned at his pun as Haruhi looked up at Tamaki and giggled.

"Oh yeah." She giggled as Tamaki muttered how she was so cute making Daniel shake his head before noticing a centipede climbing on the crab.

The bug was immediately noticed causing everyone to scream. Haruhi stood up and plucked the bug with ease and threw it over into the bushes and wiping her hands against each other, acting like it was nothing.

"You didn't have to throw it like that," Daniel told her making her looked over at the other.

"I didn't kill it, it takes more than that to kill a bug." She replied with a shrug.

Daniel could just hum in response as he headed to go back to relaxing on the beach, overhearing the twins talking with Tamaki.

"Well isn't that just great?" Hikaru said as Kaoru continued.

"Haruhi's not normal, I thought girls were afraid of bugs." Kaoru hummed as Tamaki was still holding the crab.

"She has to be afraid of something." The blonde commented as they were watching Haruhi.

"Of course she's afraid of something. You can't not be afraid of something." Daniel added to the conversation.

The twins suddenly perked up giving Daniel the cue that they were planning something. "Hey, listen up! We just thought of a new game that could be a lot of fun!" The twins suggested.

"I doubt it," Daniel told them as the twins ignored him.

"It's called the, 'Who can find Haruhi's weakness game'! So you think you're up to it?" They asked with grins on their faces.

"But that game sounds terrible," Tamaki told them as Daniel nodded in agreement.

"Eh, guess you're right, besides she'd only share her weakness with someone she's close to," Hikaru told them as he and Kaoru started walking away. Daniel could only sigh as Tamaki paused. They already got Tamaki to reconsidered as the blonde yelled after them.

"What are the rules!?" Tamaki exclaimed as the twins stopped and turned around grinning.

"Now that's more like it! The deadline is sunset tomorrow. Whoever finds out her weakness first wins." The Twins told them as Kyoya showed up with Honey and Mori.

"And I have the perfect prize for the lucky winner," Kyoya told everyone showing some pictures of Haruhi when she was in middle school making everyone that more determined to play and win the game.

"While you guys do that I'm going to relax under the umbrella," Daniel told them, knowing that whatever he said they would still go along with this 'game'.

"Oh, come on, Daniel, play with us." The twins urged going on either side of him. "We'll do it together!"

"No, I don't wanna," Daniel whined as the twins dragged him back.

The Twins, with Daniel, unwillingly, ended up walking in a cave with some guests with Haruhi. Despite being part of the Twin's 'plan' he didn't know what they were planning and it annoyed him.

"This is the place, it's the most haunted spot in all of Okinawa. The locals don't even come out here." Hikaru told the others as they explored the cave with flashlights.

"I never heard of this place before," Daniel stated looking around.

"That's because the only time you can find this cave is at low tide," Kaoru informed him.

"Plus you're too much of a scaredy-cat to look up this stuff," Hikaru told him earning a sharp glare from Daniel.

"Evidently," Kaoru said before continuing. "- many people have died down here from drowning, and their souls still linger. Taking their revenge on anyone who happens to come inside!" He told them.

The mere mention of drowning caused him to tense with a feeling of dread in the pit of his stomach. "Drowning?" He asked before glancing over to Haruhi and the other guests to see their reactions. The two girls were hugging each other and shaking while Haruhi didn't even bat an eye.

"Look!" Hikaru exclaimed pointing as an obviously fake ghost appeared laughing evilly.

The two girl guests screamed and Daniel would be lying if it caused him to jump slightly. That's not what got him to scream though. Suddenly he felt something boney on his shoulder and he looked over and screamed.

"What's going on? Are you trying to freak me out?" Haruhi asked as she looked at a boney hand that was on her shoulder.

"What's wrong with you? I thought everyone was afraid of ghosts." Kaoru asked her.

"Yeah, it got Danielle." Hikaru snickered as Daniel was had a hand against the wall as his other hand was on his chest.

"Shut up!" Daniel exclaimed, blushing. He felt so embarrassed. "I wasn't scared, I was surprised, that's all!" He tried defending himself.

No one was convinced and once they were out of the cave Daniel headed to relax to calm down. He was done with this game.

"Danielle! Come with us, I heard the view was beautiful up on those rocks." A group of girls told him, taking his hands and leading him over as he looked at where they were going. "I-Isn't that a bit dangerous?" He asked nervously, not being a fan of heights.

"Don't worry, we'll be fine." One of the girls giggled as they headed to the top. It made him feel nauseous the higher they got as his heart rate picked up.

"Look, it's Haruhi! Haruhi! Look up here!" One of the girls waved down as Haruhi looked up. Daniel barely peeked his head over and immediately regretted it.

"It's dangerous up there, be careful!" She told them, they only nodded before they started to enjoy themselves.

"The breeze up here feels great!" Another girl said enjoying the wind as they heard Haruhi call up to them.

"It does feel good." The second girl agreed.

The third girl hummed in agreement as Daniel was struggling to stay standing, unable to agree with the three other girls.

"Hey, they're a bunch of chicks up there." A male voice said causing the four of them to look over seeing two guys, one a blonde and the other a brunette. Daniel noticed one of them toss aside an empty beer can, this couldn't be good.

"How would you like to hang with a few locals?" The blonde asked as Daniel grimaced as one of the girls piped up.

"I'm sorry, you're not allowed here, this is a private beach."

"Private? That means we're alone." The brunette replied wrapping his arms around two of the girls as Daniel felt the blonde wrap his arms around him and the other girls' shoulders.

"Hey, back off! Leave us alone." Daniel snapped pushing the blonde away from them.

"Fiesty. Come on, we just want to have some fun." The blonde smirked and pulled Daniel close by the waist before he yelped jumping back and turning around letting Daniel see his back was now covered with shellfish and other creatures.

"Hey, they told you to leave them alone so leave!" Haruhi shouted as she held a bucket that was empty.

"You little runt." The blonde growled, moving forward towards Haruhi.

Daniel saw the girls run off and while he was tempted to he couldn't let Haruhi face two guys at once and picked up a nearby stick and whacked the back of the blonde's head. The guy cried out, bending over in pain as the brown-haired guy grabbed Daniel by the wrist.

"You little bitch." The brunette told him before throwing him down the rock causing Daniel to curl up in on himself in pain.

"Hey, don't do that to my friends!" Haruhi exclaimed raising a fist and punching the guy in the face before the blonde picked up Haruhi by her collar. "Don't try to act tough, you little sissy boy!" The blonde growled, holding Haruhi over the edge. "Hope you can swim!" He said tossing Haruhi over and into the water.

"Haruhi!" Daniel heard as he winced and watched Tamaki run and jump over the edge and into the water after her.

"Daniel!" He heard the twins as they ran over. The twins saw Daniel was injured and both of them got angry and started attacking the two men. Kyoya came before the twins would do something they would regret later.

"Hikaru, Kaoru, enough," Kyoya ordered causing the two to stop.

"But you saw what they did to Daniel and Haruhi!" Hikaru exclaimed looking over at Daniel.

"I did see, but still. I have their i.d's and have called a doctor. If they know what's best for them they would leave now and never return." Kyoya said a dark aura forming around him as he stared at the two men with a glint in his eyes.

"Let's get out of here!" The brunette said before the two men ran off.

"Daniel, are you alright?" Hikaru asked as the twins went over and helped Daniel to sit up and saw his right arm scraped and bleeding. His knees were the same as long as his right cheek.

"I'm fine." Daniel told them, "I'm worried about Haruhi and Tamaki." He told them.

"You're fine!? You're bleeding!" Hikaru exclaimed.

"A doctor will be here shortly for both you and Haruhi," Kyoya told them, "And Tamaki and Haruhi will be fine, I trust Tamaki will make sure she's safe," He told Daniel.

"Elle-chan!" They heard Honey call out to him as he and Mori ran over.

"I'm alright," Daniel tried to reassure the blonde and the giant, but it didn't convince anyone.

"The doctor should be heading to the villa, it's best to bring him there immediately," Kyoya told them.

Daniel winced when Mori picked him up, bridal style as they headed towards the villa.

"Haru-Chan!" Honey exclaimed as they looked over at the water as Tamaki was walking to the shore with Haruhi in his arms.

"Boss! Are you alright?" The twins exclaimed as they all headed closer.

"Where'd they go?" Tamaki asked them as Kyoya placed a shirt over Haruhi.

"We took their i.d. cards and respectfully asked them to leave. The girls all went back to the hotel, and I've called a doctor. He should be arriving here any minute now," Kyoya informed Tamaki as the blonde set Haruhi down on her feet.

"Thanks." He told him.

"I'm fine guys, I'm not the one who needs a doctor," Haruhi told them.

"It's better to be safe than sorry." Daniel piped up as Haruhi looked over at him, her eyes softening when seeing Daniel's state.

Tamaki took hold of her shoulders and looked her in the eyes, "What were you thinking? You know, you're not like Honey-senpai. You're not a martial arts master. Why did you confront them? What made you think you would stand a chance? You against two boys?" Tamaki asked her, tightening his grip on her shoulders.

Haruhi frowned in reply, "But it doesn't matter that they're boys and I'm a girl. I was there. I had to do something. There wasn't any time to think..." She argued back.

"That's no excuse, you idiot. Don't forget, you're a girl."

"Look, I'm sorry you had to come and save me, senpai. But I don't understand why you're so mad at me right now. I don't think I did anything wrong." She frowned at him.

Tamaki looked down as he let go of her shoulders. "You don't think so? Fine, whatever you say. But I'm not speaking to you until you can admit that you were wrong!" He declared to her.

"Tamaki..." Daniel started until Tamaki cut him off.

"Make sure Daniel is alright," Tamaki told Mori before heading back to the villa.

Daniel could feel the thick tension in the dining room, it broke when Honey and Mori came in. "Tada! Here you go! Don't they look yummy?" Honey said smiling brightly as he and Mori set plates of cooked crab on the table.

"I never had seafood before," Daniel commented, moving his hand to scratch his bandaged cheek before Kyoya grabbed his hand in warning to not touch the bandages making him groan silently.

"I apologize that there aren't any maids around to help you cook, Senpai," Kyoya told the two third years.

"It's no big deal! We appreciate you letting us stay here! You're going to enjoy the crab, Elle-chan," Honey told them before looking up at Mori. "Hey Takashi, will you go get Haru-Chan?" He asked his cousin who nodded and left the dining room.

"Are you sure you're alright?" Hikaru couldn't help but change the subject making Daniel roll his eyes.

"Look, the doctor said it was just a few scrapes and my side's a little bruised, nothing to worry about," Daniel told him.

"You can hardly walk," Kaoru told him with a blank face.

"Hey, I can walk, that's all that matters," Daniel exclaimed in a huff.

Meanwhile Honey looked out the window. "It's awfully gloomy out there, huh? It looks like it's gonna rain." Honey told them, gaining their attention back to him.

"If it's going to storm I hope we're not going to lose power," Daniel replied.

"We won't." Kyoya stated as he took was seated across from him.

"It's not just gloomy outside," Hikaru commented.

"It's pretty gloomy right here in the dining room as well. Just take a look at Senpai." Kaoru continued making them look back to a corner where Tamaki was crouched, sulking.

"Tamaki, stop moping in the corner, you're not helping the situation," Daniel told him with a blank face.

"You shouldn't have fought with her in the first place boss." The twins told him before the door opened. We all looked over to see Mori and Haruhi come into the dining room. Daniel immediately took notice of what Haruhi was wearing.

"Whoa! You look so cute, Haru-Chan!" Honey commented on Haruhi's prink, frilly nightgown. It was the girliest Daniel has ever seen her.

"Haruhi, where did you get that dress?" The Twins asked her.

"Yeah, you look weird," Daniel told her making the others stare at him. "What?" He asked.

Haruhi looked down, ignoring Daniel's comment. "From my dad. He must have repacked my bags when I wasn't looking. He's always trying to get me to wear this frilly stuff." She told them, tugging the bottom of her nightgown before looking up at the others.

"That's awesome! Way to go, dad!" The twins grinned giving her a thumbs up.

Daniel didn't think there could be any more thick tension as they all sat at the dining table.

"Oh, this is uncomfortable."

"Yeah, kind of awkward." The twins muttered as they glanced at Haruhi and Tamaki sitting next to each other.

"They're in a fight, yet they chose to sit next to each other," Daniel muttered with them.

"Let's dig in! These are the crabs we caught. I bet they're delicious!" Honey told them in an attempt to calm the tension before they started eating.

"You said you haven't had seafood, before, Daniel, try it, it's good," Kaoru told him before hearing the snap of a crab shell as Haruhi was digging in.

Daniel could only watch as she ate more and more, "These crabs... taste in-CRAB-ible. Get it." She joke as she continued eating as Tamaki watched her.

Daniel forced himself to look away as he stared at the crab on his plate as he attempted to open the shell to try it.

"Don't you think you've had enough? Give it a rest." He heard Tamaki tell Haruhi.

Daniel grinned as he managed to open the shell and took his first bite of the crab.

"Excuse me, I thought you weren't speaking to me." Haruhi retorted to Tamaki as she continued to eat.

"How is it?" Hikaru asked in a whisper to Daniel.

Daniel only looked at Hikaru as the twins looked back and took another bite before looking back at his plate making the twins sweatdrop.

"You... Trying to be cute?" He heard Tamaki ask her before clenching the table cloth and standing up making them look at him.

"Okay fine, I get it. It seems you refuse to admit that you were wrong. See if I care, then. I'm going to bed. Kyoya, would you show me to my room, please?" Tamaki said as he headed out of the dining room.

Kyoya wiped his mouth with a napkin before standing up. "Well, excuse me, everyone." He told him before following after Tamaki.

Daniel swallowed the food in his mouth as he looked over at Haruhi, seeing that she stopped eating and looked down at the table. "Maybe he's right. Maybe I do need to learn a way to protect myself." She sighed.

"So, that's it. He got to you, huh?" The twins told her.

"Well, it wouldn't hurt you to learn martial arts or something," Kaoru told her.

"But it's not like we're going to force you to learn it," Hikaru added as they looked at her.

"Besides, that's not the real issue here." They told her.

"To be honest, we were all a little worried about how recklessly you acted," Hikari stated, making her look up, confused.

"What do you mean? I didn't cause you guys any trouble or anything." She told them.

"That's not true, Haru-Chan. I think you should apologize, 'kay? You made us all worried, especially Tama-Chan. I think you need to apologize to him the most." Honey told her making her look over at the blonde.

"So you were worried about me? But why?" She asked making Honey sigh.

"You're hopeless." The twins shook their heads.

"You think? Guys, I'm really sorry." Haruhi told them.

"Hey, don't worry about it, no one got hurt..." Daniel smiled as the other looked at him making him sweat. "... Badly." He added before they were in a group hug.

"Yeah, apology accepted, you little mutt."

"You're so cute. We forgive you." The twins cooed rubbing their faces against hers'.

Haruhi let out a groan as Daniel escaped the hug of death. "Are you alright?" He asked Haruhi as she started looking pale.

"I'm not feeling so good." She replied before covering her mouth.

The others let go. "You must've eaten too much crab," Hikaru told her.

"Be strong, Haru-Chan!"

"Let's get her to the nearest restroom! Hurry!" Kaoru ended as Haruhi rushed down the hall.

Daniel let out a sigh as he got back to his seat. Even though Haruhi was now getting sick somewhere Daniel wanted to eat some more. He was still hungry and he only had like, three bites of crab.

"Are you feeling better?" Mori asked him, giving him a startle.

Daniel looked up at Mori and nodded. "Yeah, a little sore, but I'm feeling better," Daniel replied.

"You must have some of the worst luck," Hikaru told him making him glare at him.

"Yeah, too bad we couldn't get to teach you to swim, Elle-Chan," Honey told him.

"It's alright, it's not the end of the world," Daniel replied eating more crab.

"We also don't want you getting hurt like that again." The twins scolded him.

The teen rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, I'll try not to get hurt anymore." He replied before he was hugged by the twins.

"You're so cute!" They cooed as Daniel whined struggling to break free.

"Noo! Let me eat!" The long-haired teen whined before Kyoya came back and informed them of where Haruhi was, with Tamaki.

This caused the twins to let go of Daniel. "Are you sure it's a good idea? To leave the two of them alone?" They asked the male.

"She's with our prince, Tamaki. What could possibly go wrong?" Kyoya replied.

This made the others immediately go to the room where Haruhi and Tamaki were in. "Hey, boss? We're coming in." The twins warned Tamaki before opening the door letting them see inside. Daniel only gaped as he saw Haruhi wearing a blindfold and earmuffs.

"You nasty pervert," Hikaru remarked.

"What kind of foreplay is that?" Kaoru asked as they stared at Tamaki as the blonde began to panic.

"It's not like that! It's not what you think!" Tamaki exclaimed.

"I can't believe you really are a pervert," Daniel stated.

"It's not what you think, really!" Tamaki exclaimed louder making frantic hand motions.

There was a slam of a trunk as Daniel finished putting his stuff in the car as everyone was getting ready to head home that morning before getting into the limo, next to Haruhi.

"You better watch your back, Haruhi." Hikaru hummed opening one of the limo's doors.

"Yeah. I never would've pegged the boss as an S&M pervert." Kaoru replied as he climbed into the car, followed by his brother.

"I told you, it wasn't like that at all!" Tamaki defended himself with frustration as he held his luggage, fuming.

"I see. Well now I know what S&M is. I can't believe I almost let you get away with it." Haruhi tsked rolling up her window.

"I wasn't doing anything freaky. I was trying to help you." He told her before Kyoya smirked.

"Let's go." The glasses, wearing male said making the limo go off.

"Hey! Don't leave without me! Wait, you guys!" Tamaki shouted as I watched him run after the limo.
