Chapter 19: Big Brother is a Prince!
"I'm beginning to think you guys are doing this on purpose." Daniel blankly said looking as the others were wearing officer uniforms and he was dressed as a dog.
The twins were struggling not to burst out laughing as Haruhi shook her head. "You two are unbelievable." She told the twins.
"Come on, they're dogs in the police force too." They said snickering.
"Yeah, not someone dressed as one!" Daniel exclaimed as the twins burst out laughing.
"Gentlemen, enough, our guests will be arriving any minute now, enough playing around." Tamaki told them.
"Come on, you can't say Daniel's not cute as a dog, just look at him." The twins replied going on either side of Daniel and tugging his cheeks making Daniel squirm.
"Let go!" Daniel whined.
"But you're so cute." Hikaru said before Daniel finally shoved them both off.
"Enough pranks, I'm going to actually get changed." Daniel huffed storming off as Hikaru couldn't help but let out a soft sigh watching him.
"I can't believe I said that out loud alone." Hikaru told Kaoru his face burning and facing the wall to hide.
Kaoru gave his brother a reassuring pat on the back, not saying he didn't tell Daniel as cute with him on purpose.
When Daniel came back in the correct costume this time they were standing together waiting for the doors open.
"Welcome!" They said as the doors opened to a little girl.
"It's a little girl." Daniel said as Tamaki smiled.
"Oh my, what an unusually young guest. Well, glad you're here, my little lost kitty cat!" Tamaki told the little girl as she looked up in shock.
Tamaki bent down slightly to try to match the girl's height. "Little kitty cat, why have you come to see us today?" He asked her softly.
The little girl blushed before pointing at the hosts. "It's a reverse harem!" She shouted causing the hosts to freeze in shock.
"This is a reverse harem!" She repeated.
"Excuse me!?" Daniel exclaimed wondering how a little girl knows what a harem even is.
"That can't be right, I must have heard wrong, maybe there's still some water in my ear from when I went swimming." Tamaki said nervously as he hit the side of his head to get water out of his ear.
"Water in the ear, that's gotta be it!" Hikaru laughed nervously as he and Kaoru cleaned their ears.
"I'm sure we just heard her wrong. There's no way this cute little girl said the words, 'reverse harem'. Something's going on with our ears." Kaoru added as he was laughing nervously with his brother.
"There's debauchery here." The girl said making them gasp, Daniel putting his hands against the wall for support as he processed what this little girl just said.
"Yay! There's debauchery here, isn't there!" The girl cheered before she started pointing at each of the hosts. "You're the lasses character. Uhm, you're the boy lolita and the stoic type. Twincest! The Bookworm! And the love interest!" She said pointing at Daniel before looking at Tamaki.
Tamaki freaks out when her attention was brought to him. The little girl's eyes widened as tears pricked her eyes. "Big brother?" She asked before throwing herself at Tamaki. "My brother's blonde, you must be him!" She exclaimed.
"You never told us about this!" Hikaru exclaimed.
"Since when do you have a little sister?" Kaoru asked.
Tamaki held the girl up in his arms. "I don't! I'm definitely an only child, at least as far as I know!" He exclaimed.
"The more I look at you, the two of you do look a lot alike! You are both blonde after all!" Honey said as Tamaki was trying to get the little child off of him.
"Honey-Senpai, with that logic you're basically saying you're Tamaki's sibling too." Daniel replied.
"I am!?" Honey questioned making Daniel sigh.
"I want to know if 'glasses character' is superior to 'big brother'." Kyoya said pushing up his glasses up.
"But does it really matter?" She said before looking away irked. "I can't believe she called me bookworm."
Tamaki got nervous as he looked at the girl. "Excuse me, you want to tell me your name little one?"
"Kirimi!" The girl said smiling brightly at Tamaki as he sets her down and crouched down in front of her.
"Kirimi-Chan, I'm afraid you've made a mistake. I'm really sorry but I don't have a younger sister." He told her softly.
She started to tear up. "Are you sure? You're blonde just like me..." She whimpered.
Tamaki's eyes widen before tearing up. "That is true..." He said before picking her up and started spinning her around. "I give in! As of this moment, I am your new big brother! You're so cute!~" He exclaimed happily.
"I know you get carried away by emotion, but don't you think it's irresponsible to make such empty promises?" Haruhi told him.
"Don't you listen to that mean Haruhi. I'm not irresponsible! Come home with me and I'll look after you!~" Tamaki cooed as he kept spinning her around.
"What do you think we should do, Kyoya-Senpai?" Haruhi asked looking up at the male.
"Yeah, I'm not being involved with kidnapping." Daniel added.
"We should probably try to find out if she actually has a brother at this school." The ravenette replied making Tamaki stop spinning her and hold her close.
"Kirimi... Kirimi." A creepy voice said making them turn.
A blonde male pops his head out from behind a black door looking in the host club.
"Hey uh, who the hell are you?" The twins asked.
"He looks like a foreigner!" Honey exclaimed.
"Wow." Daniel replied making Hikaru look at him. "What?"
"What's up with that? How come the door looks different all of a sudden." Haruhi questioned.
"Oh Kirimi..." The blonde character said before a butler and maid in all black showed up.
"Master," The male started.
"You forgot your cloak." The maid finished as they dressed the male in a black cloak and wig.
"Nekozawa-Senpai!?" They exclaimed realizing that was him the whole time.
"Master Umehito is terribly vulnerable to any kind of bright light. For that reason, if he doesn't shroud himself in black, he will fall victim to the brightness of the outside world and will undoubtedly collapse." The maid declared shedding a tear. "And just to be comfortable, he even has to cover his beautiful blonde hair with a dark wig! Oh!"
"On the other hand, his sister, Mistress Kirimi, is frightened of dark dimly lit places." The butler told them.
"So this little girl is Nekozawa-Senpai's younger sister?" Haruhi asked pointing to the little girl.
The butler lifted a handkerchief to his eye. "You are quite insightful. Yes, that would be correct, sir." He replied as Tamaki placed Kirimi down.
"Kirimi, so this is where you've been hiding." Nekozawa said laughing.
Kirimi teared up terrified of him and cries, throwing herself at Tamaki. "Brother save me from the monster!" She cried.
Nekozawa walked towards them. "Please don't be scared. I'd like to introduce you to someone. This is Beelzenef. The Nekozawa family has worshiped cats for generations."
"Y'know, I get the feeling that she's not scared of the puppet. Call me crazy, but I think it's you." Haruhi said as Kyoya nodded in agreement making Nekozawa gasp in shock.
"It's probably your clothes, we'll help you change kay?" The twins said as they pulled on Nekozawa's cloak.
Nekozawa screeched. "No, don't do that! It's far too bright, I may die!" He exclaimed.
"Oh I know! Why don't we darken the room?" Honey suggested running and closing the curtains.
"Don't do that! I'm afraid!" Kirimi cried as Tamaki holds her rocking her.
"Don't worry little one." Tamaki told her.
"Either way, someone's unhappy." Kyoya said, stating the obvious.
"Yeah, that's obvious." Daniel muttered before looking at Nekozawa. "No offense, but how you act makes you scary to others." He told him bluntly making him gasp again.
"It's a tragedy that these two siblings are such polar opposites. As a result, they've come to be known as the Nekozawa family's Romeo and Juliet." Kuretake, the maid told him.
"But Romeo and Juliet weren't brother and sister. I think their situation was a little different." Haruhi said as the maid smiled at her.
"Oh, I'm well aware of that. To be honest it's something I just came up with on the fly! Pretty impressive huh? I thought it might make the story more dramatic!" She replied holding a sign that reads, 'Nekozawa Family's Romeo-Juliet'.
"Oh, I see." Haruhi said blankly.
"I think there's enough drama as it is." Daniel said staring at the sign.
"We were sent by my master's family, to get our beloved Mistress Kirimi back home safely." The butler, Kadomatsu said bowing to Kirimi.
"Is the rest of the family,"
"As out of touch as the three of you are?" Hikaru and Kaoru asked them while hugging each other.
Kuretake glared at them. "How dare you say such a terrible thing! The Nekozawas are a distinguished family! They're descendants of the Tokarev dynasty of Russia!" She shouts in frustration while shaking Nekozawa.
Kyoya tilted his head with Haruhi, Honey, Mori, and Daniel. "Tokarev huh?" Kyoya asked.
"Wait, you mean Romanov right?" Tamaki asked but Kuretake ignored him and turned away continuing.
"There's a legend that says once every few hundred years, a Nekozawa child is born. A child who is destined to be possessed by the darkness exactly like our Master Umehito. That legend may or may not be true." She told them.
"What do you mean it may or may not be true?" Honey asked.
"Is it or isn't it." The twins asked unimpressed with the story.
"Wait... What?" Daniel questioned.
"Mistress Kirimi fell in love with the handsome fairytale prince of an older brother she has seen in portraits. However, as a result of his condition, the Master is unable to go near his sister, without being shrouded in black. Once she learned that her older brother was enrolled in high school here, she decided to go looking for him. That's what brought her to your host club. We've tried to keep her comforted by reading her bedtime stories about princely characters like her brother, but we ran out of stories. So recently, we've decided to start reading her shoujo manga that had princely characters in them! And I'm afraid she's become completely addicted!" Kuretake said putting her hands to her cheeks looking away.
"Shoujo manga?" Haruhi asked sweatdropping.
"That's not good at such a young age." Daniel replied.
"I see, so that's where that came from." The twins said blank faced.
"Is there really debauchery in shoujo manga? But, Sashimi-Chan is so young." Haruhi told them.
"Not Sashimi." Hikaru told her.
"It's Kirimi." Nekozawa corrected her.
Haruhi looked over at Nekozawa. "So Kirimi-Chan doesn't know that you're her real older brother Nekozawa-Senpai?"
Nekozawa looked down, sulking at that.
"Yes, we've talker to her but she refuses to believe us." Kuretake replied.
"That's so sad. Well no wonder Neko-Chan is so upset." Honey said rubbing his eyes.
"It's painful... That's why every night I offer prayers in hopes that one day Kirimi will come to embrace the darkness." Nekozawa said.
"Yeah, not gonna happen." Daniel told him.
"I think you've got it backwards buddy." The twins told Nekozawa.
"You should try to get accustomed to the light." Hikaru replied.
"What're you trying to do to your sister?" Kaoru asked while Tamaki kept holding Kirimi.
"Come along Mistress Kirimi." Kadomatsu told her.
"It's time to go home."
Kirimi freaks out and crying loudly while clinging to Tamaki. "No! I'm not going with you! I don't wanna go home! I wanna stay with my big brother!" She cried.
Nakozawa shook slightly before he let out a sob.
"Nekozawa-Senpai..." Tamaki asked him while he held Kirimi who kept crying.
"Don't worry about me, Suoh. All I want is for my sister to be happy. Make sure-" He sobbed. "She gets the love she deserves!" He told him before running out of the room trying to hold back sobs.
"Wait a minute! Senpai!" Tamaki called after him as Nekozawa slams the door and runs down the hall.
"Sibling relations are a source of problems in any family." Kyoya replied pushing up his glasses as Tamaki glanced over at him.
"Even so, I'm kinda jealous." Haruhi told them and looked out the window as Tamaki and Kyoya looked over at her. "I grew up an only child, so I can't really relate, but I can't imagine how tough it must be to have a sibling that's so different from you that you can't even spend time together."
Tamaki looked down at Kirimi before placing her down.
"Is something wrong? Tell me, big brother." Kirimi asked Tamaki looking up at him.
The blonde smiled softly. "I'm sorry Kirimi-Chan, but I'm not the big brother that you've been looking for." He told her making Haruhi look at him. "Don't worry." He placed his hand on the little girl's shoulder. He's still out there. Believe it or not, you have a big brother that's even more handsome than I am! And I promise you he's a real prince." He told her.
Kirimi blushed and gasps at that.
"Tamaki, you can't-" Daniel was cut off.
"Once she stepped foot into this room, Kirimi-Chan became a guest of the host club. And," Tamaki runs a hand through his hair before continuing. "It's our job to make all our guests happy! It's an absolute tragedy to see a brother and sister at odds this way. We have to do something to help them! Starting now, operation 'Change Nekozawa-Senpai into the Princely Character of Kirimi-Chan's Dreams' is underway!" Tamaki declared to them.
"Are you serious?" The twins asked.
"But sir..."
"You want to change Umehito from a prince of darkness to a prince of light? I don't know if that's even possible!" The butler and maid told him.
"Senpai! Quit getting carried away by your emotions! Don't make promises you can't keep." Haruhi exclaimed at him.
Tamaki smirked at that. " Oh ye of little faith. Have you forgotten that we have an expert on our side? Someone who knows the importance of changing characters." He told the others. The twins gasp looking at each other.
"You don't think-"
"He's talking about-" Hikaru and Kaoru said before hearing Renge's laugh as she rises from the revolving floor.
"This can't go well." Daniel sighed.
They were in the third science room with the lights off. Nekozawa was without his wig and cloak since he was in darkness. He held a candelabra in his hands. "Your golden locks glow in the candle light. Your skin like ivory, your smile mysterious as a flower illuminated by moonlight! Such beauty... It's as if, you're a cursed wax doll! Shrouded in darkness and filled with malevolence!" He ended using his regular language.
Renge smacked him. "No way you've got it all wrong! Numbskull! Who told you to say something like that!? How many times do I have to tell you, you're not allowed to use any occult terms!" She shouted at him.
"I'm really sorry, but my vocabulary is a bit limited without those words!" Nekozawa replied nervously before Renge smacks him some more.
"You're not allowed to talk back to me either, you got it?! A princely character would never try to come up with a sissy excuse like that!" She told him shaking her finger. "Remember! It's okay to have a dark side, some girls like that. Cute fruity male characters always go over well with young girls. However, referencing anything relating to the occult, is out of the question!" She exclaimed before pointing at Mori. "Mori-Senpai, go ahead and add that to the board." She told him.
Mori turned to the chalkboard in the room filled with occult words. "Wax doll..."
"Looks like Renge's really on top of things." Kyoya said while leaning on a table.
"Yeah she's on a roll!" Honey agreed while he sat on top of the table.
"But I'm not sure the lines she's feeding him are appropriate to use on a sister." Hikaru replied.
"I agree, isn't there another way to do this?" Daniel asked.
"You just going to sit and watch boss?" Kaoru asked Tamaki looking over at the blonde.
"Of course, I don't wanna end up with a curse on me." He answered as he sat on a different table.
"I highly doubt that would happen." Daniel told him.
"Okay! It seems that you've memorized most of your new character lines. I think it's about time we move on. Are you ready Senpai?" Renge asked Nekozawa.
Nekozawa moved on the floor. "Oh please no! It's too soon! I can't handle it yet!" He exclaimed.
Renge ignored him flashing a flashlight before shining him. "Evil beam!" She shouted.
Nekozawa cries and cowers in a corner to try and hide from the light.
"Don't let a simple flashlight get the best of you! Work up your nerve! It's not physically affecting you! So that means it must be physiological! Even Edgar was able to face a cross once he built up his courage!" She shouted at him turning the light off.
Nekozawa perked up at her mentioning of Edgar. "But I thought you rejected the occult." He told her as Honey drew a bunny on the chalkboard while on Mori's shoulders.
"Occult fiction is good, occult fashion is not." She replied.
"Oh is that so?" Tamaki mused.
"Don't judge him!" Hikaru shouted.
"You're the one who's always wearing weird cosplay." Kaoru told Tamaki.
Renge prods nekozawa's face. "You gotta put your heart to the delivery of these lines. You have to imagine that you're talking to Kirimi-Chan." She told him.
"That's easy for you to say, but that doesn't look anything like her." He told her pointing to a chair with a brown stuffed bear sitting in it dressed up as Kirimi.
"Would you keep complaining!?" She grabbed the bear. "Look at her through the eyes of your heart. The eyes of your heart!" She shoved the bear into his face.
"That's right! Remember why you're doing this! It's all for Kirimi-Chan's sake, just give it a shot. It'll look like her if you use your imagination." Tamaki told him.
The twins grinned looking at eachother.
"No." Daniel told them but they ignored them.
"Here you go, boss!" They told Tamaki making Tamaki turn to them.
"We got this one ready just for you!" Hikaru grinned showing off a mannequin with Haruhi's picked out bikini and a wig of her hair.
Daniel groaned and facepalmed.
"We think you should go ahead and confess your love to this Haruhi doll!" Kaoru told him.
"Wait... This doll is Haruhi?" Tamaki asked them.
"You should teach him, by example." The twins grinned.
"I can't watch this." Daniel muttered turning away as Tamaki closed his eyes.
"H-Haruhi... I-I-" Tamaki started before Haruhi showed up.
"Excuse me." She said blankly.
Tamaki gasps. "H-Haruhi! You're the real one! But when did you get here!?" He asked before throwing the mannequin away.
"Kirimi-Chan came to the club again today looking for you." She replied and glared at him. "If you've got time to do disgusting things like this, surely you can spare some time to hang out with her for a while!" She shouted at him.
Tamaki paled. "Horrible? Disgusting?" He repeated before sulking in the corner as the twins bursts out laughing.
"Why don't you keep her company Haruhi? What's wrong, don't like children?" Kyoya asked her.
"Well no, it's not that I don't like them or anything." She replied thinking about her time with Kirimi. "She's made me read about fifty volumes of shoujo manga to her over the last three days, and to my surprise? Those things really are full of reverse harems and debauchery." Haruhi told them.
Kirimi soon peeked her head in the room. "Big brother?" She asked noticing how dark the room is and tears up. "Mm this room is dark and scary!" She cried.
"Oh, Kirimi-Chan!" Haruhi ran up to her. "I asked you to wait for me in the other room!" She told her as Tamaki jogs over.
"What's wrong little one? There there, calm down." Tamaki told her lifting her up in the lit hallway. "You see? There's nothing to be afraid of!" He span her around making her giggle. "Here we go!" He smiled.
Nekozawa looks down sullenly at the two before getting a determined look.
"Senpai?" Renge asked.
Nekozawa held the flashlight to his face. "I am a handsome, princely big brother! I am a handsome, princely big brother! I am a handsome, princely big brother! I am a handsome, princely big brother! I am a handsome, princely big brother! I am a handsome, princely big brother! I am a handsome, princely big brother! And I'm not afraid of this flashlight! Self evil beam!" He exclaimed turning the flashlight on in his face.
"He did it!" Honey cheered as Mori clapped.
"Nekozawa-Senpai's come a long way! He's able to shine a flashlight in his own face!" Renge exclaimed teared up, looking proud.
The twins pulls some pop streamers with a bored tone. "Bravo Senpai, bravo." They said.
Daniel elbowed the two of them glaring at them before smiling at Nekozawa senpai. "That's amazing, Nekozawa! Your first step into the light." He replied.
Haruhi clapped. "Good job, I'm impressed!" She congratulated him.
"You did it! Your little sister is going to be so thrilled!" Tamaki exclaimed before crouching down to Kirimi and pointed to Nekozawa. "Look there Kirimi-Chan, that gentleman is your real big brother!" He told her as he went into his own mind imagining the best outcome for them.
"You're just complicating things. Could you please cut that out? It's not gonna help y'know." Haruhi told Tamaki.
Tamaki snapped out of it. Huh? Did you just say something?" He asked her.
"Nevermind..." She sighed.
Nekozawa turned around with the flashlight shining up at his face. "Kirimi..." He called out to her.
Kirimi pales seeing him and wails before running off crying.
"Kirimi wait!" Nekozawa called after her dropping the flashlight.
"So I guess shining the flashlight in his face,"
"Scared her and sent her running." The twins replied.
Nekozawa sat on his knees defeated. "Oh Kirimi..." He said before he starts crying softly.
"Nekozawa-Senpai?" Tamaki looked at him.
"I've had enough. Even if I continue your special training, there's no guarantee that Kirimi will ever accept me. I think she'd be better off if you acted as her brother in my stead Suoh." Nekozawa told him.
Tamaki walked up to him. "But that's ridiculous. You're the big brother she's looking for. If you care about her, you'll do whatever it takes to win her over!" He told him making him look up at Tamaki.
Meanwhile Hikaru and Kaoru went to the window as the curtains opened. "Hey look, Kirimi-Chan hasn't made it out of the courtyard." Hikaru pointed out as they looked out the window.
"But there's something down there with her. Oh, it's just a cat." Kaoru added.
Nekozawa's eyes widen with a gasp and looked over at the window.
"Your family sure does love cats." Hikaru commented watching Kirimi stand there with the cat.
"Even strays warm up to you guys." Kaoru said.
"I wish strays did that to me." Daniel replied.
Nekozawa suddenly got up and ran to the window looking out. "What did you say?! They're revered by our family it's true, but Kirimi wouldn't participate in something like that. Something as occult as befriending a stray cat. Kirimi is afraid of animals! And cats are the creatures she fears the most!"
They looked as Kirimi was just staring at the cat, frozen in place.
Nekozawa stepped back before running and jumping out of the window. "Kirimi!" He shouted.
"Nekozawa-Senpai!" Tamaki called out.
"Why would he do that!? This isn't the first story!" Daniel exclaimed.
"And he's not wearing his black cloak!" Haruhi exclaimed.
Kirimi started to tear up looking at the cat. "Someone help..." She whimpered.
"Kirimi!" Nekozawa shouted running to her. Kirimi gasps and turns to look at Nekozawa as he called out her name again. "Kirimi!"
Her eyes widened before tearing up and throws herself at him. "Big brother!" She exclaimed hugging him as the cat ran off.
"Would you look at that!" Honey said as they all watched from the window.
Nekozawa held her close. "There's no need to be afraid Kirimi. I promise it won't come anywhere near you now alright?" He told her and took out his puppet. "His name is Beelzenef. With this puppet's power, I can.. curse..." He said before slowly falling to the ground.
Serveral days after the incident Nekozawa peeks into the Host Club's room before leaving and walking down the hall back in his black cloak and wig.
"Nekozawa-Senpai." Tamaki looked after him.
"He probably got more sun than he ever will again in that one day." Hikaru replied.
"That may be true, but he immediately went running for the darkness again." Honey added.
"Yeah we should've known. What a waste, he's back to wearing all those black clothes again." Kaoru sighed.
"But even so..." Haruhi trailed off.
"I don't think it was a waste, he's just taking it in his own pace now." Daniel smiled softly.

Ngl tho, I don't really like the color of the dress uniform for Ouran. Why yellow when the guy uniform is blue and the school is pink-hued?
The dress itself is pretty all right. I'd wear that.
True, very true. If the dress was a different color I would wear it too. I guess we'll never know why it's yellow, lol
