8th April

1989

Salt Lake, Utah.

Nine year old Rebecca Craig(Scarlett Wilson) and foster sister Alicia Smith (Abigail Barton), are watching the 1987 Film , 'Dirty Dancing' in their bedroom, eating Candy and drinking Coke.

('Yoh, cuz, what's she doing hear? - Johnny Castle.

'She's with me. She's with me.' - Billy Kostecki.

'I carried a Water Melon.' - Baby.

Johnny finds her response rather, bizarre and carries on dancing to Otis Redding's 'Love Man.' Baby feels dumb.

'I carried a Water Melon?')

"He's so dreamy isn't he, Patrick Swayze?" Rebecca says.

"Sure is Sis," Alicia agrees.

Rebecca is touched by Alicia calling her sis and puts her arm around her and kisses her on the head.

"I like it when you call me that," Rebecca smiles.

Downstairs, Rose Craig, Rebecca's adopted mother, is clearing up, when she can hear the two girls singing to 'Hungry Eyes' during Johnny learning baby to dance, montage scene. She smiles to herself, that they are getting along well. Alan Craig her husband can also hear them from in the living room. He too feels glad, that Alicia is happy in Rebecca's company.

"Sounds to me, they're getting on like a house on fire," Alan senses.

"I know. Considering her parents passed away several months ago. Rebecca has been a shining light to Alicia," Rose says.

"I don't know. It's weird. The social workers seem to suggest, that Alicia seemed motionless, when they died."

"Denial I suppose."

"What you mean, trying to suppress the Trauma?"

"It's possible. Just think, you're given away by your birth mother straight from Birth and then lose your adopted parents in a Plane Crash, years later."

"She's probably too afraid to show emotion and is bottling up inside," Alan suggests.

"Alicia will open up to us in her own way and own time. Let's make this feel like home to her."

A while later 'Dirty Dancing' is nearing the end of the Movie. Both Rebecca and Alicia are glued to the T.V. Screen.

('Nobody puts Baby in a Corner.' - Johnny Castle).

'Oh my God, what's he gonna do?" Alicia giggles, getting excited by upcoming conclusion.

"I hope they complete that Dance lift," Rebecca adds.

"This is such a romantic movie. I love the songs."

Rose comes upstairs and peeks through the bedroom door and the dance finale of Dirty Dancing begins. The extended version of 'I've had the Time Of My Life,' by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes starts during the movie scene.

('Now, I've had the time of my life. No, I never felt this way before.

Yes, I swear, it's the truth. And I owe it all to you.

'Cause I've had the time of my life. And I owe it all to you.')

Rebecca and Alicia are so overwhelmed, they start to dance around the room and Rose starts to laugh a little, with happy tears, as the girls dance to possibly the happiest song in Music history.

('I've been waiting for so long. Now I've finally found someone, to stand by me

We saw the writing on the wall. As we felt this magical fantasy

Now with passion in our eyes, there's no way way, we could disguise it secretly

So we take each others hand, cause we seem to understand the urgency

Just remember, you're the one thing, I can't get enough of. So I'll tell you something

This could be love, because...')

Alan sees his wife peeking on the girls and gets emotional, when it seems Rebecca has finally got the sister she dreamed of having.

(I've had the time of my life. No, I've never felt this way before

Cause I swear, it's the truth. And I owe it all to you...

Hey, Baby!'

'With body and soul, I want you more than you'll ever know

So we just let it go. Don't be afraid to lose control, no

Yes, I know what's on your mind, when you say "Stay with me tonight."

Just remember, you're the one thing

I can't get enough of. So I'll tell you something this could be love...')

Johnny and Baby successfully complete the Dance lift The girls cheer and Rebecca attempts the lift on Alicia. They mimic it to perfection.

THE SONG CONTINUES INTO A FOLLOWING SCENE

Rebecca and Alicia are seen skipping hand in hand down a suburban street, singing 'I've Had The Time Of My Life.'

THE SONG CONCLUDES.

Rebecca and Alicia comes to a Woodland and spot a large log, like bridge crossing over a river, with a very strong current. Rebecca tugs on Alicia's hand, who doesn't allow herself to go any further. She senses Rebecca, wants to cross the log and gets really nervous, sensing the danger. Rebecca frowns.

"What's the matter?" Rebecca asks.

"We're not going to try cross, that log are you?" Alicia panics.

"C'mon we can try that dance move, Johnny and Baby tried in Dirty Dancing. You know " Hey, Hey Baby. I wanna know, if you'll be my girl."

"Have you seen the drop? It must be at least fifty feet. Besides heights are not my thing."

"You just have to have confidence."

"You seem over confident."

Rebecca puts her hands on Alicia's shoulders firmly. She is desperate for Alicia to play dangerous. The sound of the raging river can be heard below.

"Do you trust me? I promise, I won't let go," Rebecca assures her foster sister.

Rebecca stares down at the Waters below, with anxiety kicking. She doesn't want to let her Foster sister down. Alicia, hesitates, but takes in Rebecca's assurance. She nervously nods, even knowing the dangers. The girls take off their shoes and shuffle along the log. They start singing Hey!Baby! by Bruce Channel. Getting confident in her dancing, Alicia she lets go of Rebecca and starts to dance on her own. They start jumping up and down on the log. This is when it starts to get dangerous. The log begins to creek, unbeknown to them. The two nine year olds, are in a World of their own. Suddenly, the Log snaps in half and the two girls slip. Gravity starts to pull them down, with the the one half of the log, balancing on the cliff . Severe pain by splinters and cuts, pulls Rebecca to the edge of the log. Alicia tries to reach out for Rebecca, with one hand, as she attempts to balance herself.

"Rebecca! Reach for my hand!" Alicia cries.

"I can't. I'm slipping," Rebecca screams.

After several attempts, Rebecca's grip on the log is lost and she falls into the raging river below and the severe current takes her away. Alicia watches on in horror, as her soul is ripped out of her, witnessing a possible tragedy before her very eyes. Alicia is unable to see Rebecca anywhere.

"Rebecca! Nooooo!" Alicia's calls out.

Alicia barely pulls herself to safety and scours the river from the cliffside. Rebecca is gone. Alicia hyperventilates and now feels a huge sense of guilt, for allowing herself to go along with Rebecca's stunt. Alicia clenches her fists, making her hands bleed as she gets angry.

"REBECCCCACAAAAA!"
