Riley sat in Kira's bedroom and stared up at the ceiling as Kira laid upside down on her bed.

"That was a cute moment." Kira stated as she tilted her head back to look at Riley, who was had a faint blush creeping across her cheeks.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." Riley muttered as she hid her face behind her hands eager to escape Kira's gaze.

"Of course you don't" Kira teased as she rolled over so that everything was the right way up. "I'm really happy you moved here, I know the events that lead up to your move wasn't the greatest but im glad you're here now and that I know you."

"I'm glad I moved here too Kira, I was so nervous I wouldn't make any friends or that I would be in a worse situation than New York, but it already feels like I've been here my whole life. It feels like home." Riley smiled as she met Kira's eyes, she meant every word that she had said. Kira had come into her life and reminded her that it was okay to be a bit goofy or dorky, it was okay to laugh and smile.

"I'm glad I've had such a positive impact on your life." A voice from the doorway announced causing Riley to turn in surprise.

"I think she was referring to me actually." Kira joked as she stuck her tongue out at Ryder who was stood leaning agains the doorframe into Kira's room.

"Now now children, the credit goes to both of you for that." Riley joked as the siblings began to bicker causing her to roll her eyes.

"Yeah, but you like me more." Ryder teased as he walked into the room and sat down on the floor beside Riley, noticing the faint smile that emerged on her lips as she moved closer to him.

"You both know that there is a very comfy bed like right here?" Kira asked as she pointed to the bed she was sat on that had lots of room.

"Yeah, I'm not taking my chances. Riley's father freaked about the fact I was stood in her room. Can you imagine his reaction if he found out I sat in a bad with her?" Ryder scratched the back of his head as he spoke. "I mean the dude is smaller than me but when he gets that crazed look in his eye." He shudders slightly causing the girls to burst into laughter at his reaction.

"Hold on.. the big bad Ryder is scared of Riley's dad? He looks like a fuzzy teddy bear. It's Riley's mum I'm scared of! She came storming in and dragged him out. Didn't even let him argue! She is awesome." Kira gushed between laughter as she remembered when they first met and how Riley had called her mum in to deal with the protective dad.

"I wish I could say he isn't normally like that, but he is worse! He used to have a collection of Lucas's shoes that he grabbed from him while trying to chase him out of my room." Riley groaned in embarrassment, causing Ryder and Kira to burst into laughter again, it wasn't long before Riley couldn't help but join in.

"Well seems like the party has started without us." Another voice from the doorway commented as the three on the floor turned to see Zay, Vanessa and Adam watching them with an amused look on their faces. "What have we missed?" Zay asked as he plonked himself on the floor while Vanessa and Adam sat on the bed.

"We were laughing at how Riley's dad was with Ryder and how Riley's mum dealt with Riley's dad." Kira explained as she wiped the tears from her cheeks and tried to catch her breath.

"Ahh Mr.Matthews.. he is one funny man." Zay commented. "Did you guys know he taught us? We had history with him but to be honest I don't even know much." Zay smiled as Riley nodded in agreement.

"What did he teach you then?" Adam asked with slight confusion.

"How to deal with life. He learnt from the best, Mr.Feeny." Riley smiled. "The lessons were interesting to say in the least." She looked around the room to see that Ryder, Kira, Adam and Vanessa were all watching for her, waiting for her to continue.

"Oh tell them about the time when you poured a bucket of water over Lucas's head!" Zay shouted with his hand raised as if he was in school.

"Hand down doofus, you're not actually in lesson." Vanessa rolled her eyes before turning to Riley. "You poured a bucket of water over Lucas's head?" She asked with a smile.

"And I may of left the empty bucket over his head." Riley chuckled slightly. Ryder watched as Riley began to tell the story and couldn't help but pull her closer to him. He loved the way her eyes lit up with the memories but he could see the pain that was hidden behind it. He knew he would never let anyone hurt his Angel again.
