Randy wraps his arms around me as I look at myself in the mirror. "Hey, baby mama. You look so good."
I kiss his cheek. "I hope so. Baby mama?"
"You are pregnant with my child."
"But it's not like I'm just that. We're married."
"Obviously. Do you know how far along you are?"
"I think I'm around seven weeks. I missed my period this month, but I had symptoms well before that."
"Seven weeks. I can think of when that happened then."
I laugh. "Me too."
Randy smiles as we still stand in front of the mirror. "You are beautiful."
"And you're very handsome."
"I know. I love you so much."
"I love you too, Randy. We should probably head down to get food."
"You're probably right. Let's go, baby mama."
I roll my eyes as we exit the hotel room.
Randy and I walk down to get food at the hotel buffet. We see Colby eating at a table with Roman and Dean.
"There's your brother that we're not mad at." Randy comments.
"I think we should go tell him." I reply.
"Even with Roman and Dean being with him?"
I roll my eyes. "Is there any harm in that?"
Colby spots us and waves at us. I grab Randy's hand and walk with him to the three men.
I smile as I make it to the table. "Hey, how's it going?"
Colby shrugs. "I pissed off Tyler so bad that he and Lauren decided to go home, and Kenny was forced to go along."
I laugh. "Damn, what'd you do?"
"He ran his mouth about you. I told him to knock it off because you had a lot going on and had tried to talk to Lauren at his birthday party."
"You didn't have to get involved in my issues with Tyler like that. I don't want to cause any issues between the two of you."
"We already have issues. You didn't cause any issues with me and him."
"Okay, that's good."
"Anyway, what's going on with you?"
"Well, I have big news that I wanted to tell you."
Randy looks at me. "You have news?"
"Sorry, we have big news."
Colby nods as he looks at me and Randy. "What is it?"
"I'm pregnant."
Colby looked at me and Randy with wide eyes. "You're what?"
"Pregnant. You're going to be getting a niece or nephew."
Colby stands up and hugs me. "Congratulations."
I hug him back. "Thanks. We are kinda keeping it pretty quiet right now."
"I understand. That means no talking about it."
"I'm not telling Vince yet."
Colby releases the hug and raises an eyebrow at me. "You're not?"
"I don't want him to make a big deal out of it yet."
"How are you going to be able to stay off TV then?"
"I'll tell Stephanie and Paul. They should be able to get that done for me."
"Okay. I'm happy for you."
"Thanks. I'm not gonna tell Tyler yet either."
"That's understandable."
"That's great to hear though." Roman comments. "Congratulations, you two."
"Yeah, congrats." Dean adds.
"Thanks." Randy and I both reply.
Colby gives me a serious look. "If you need anything at all, let me know."
"If it's something any of us can help with, let us all know." Roman adds.
"We will." Randy replies as he puts his arm around me. "Our friends are here, so we're going to leave you three be. See ya at Raw tonight."
I look at Randy as we walk away. "We're getting food before we sit with the others. I'm hungry, and I'm eating for two now."
Randy laughs. "Alright."
Randy and I sat down at the table where the rest of our friend group was already sitting. I sat next to Randy and grabbed his hand. Randy kissed my cheek as we both started to eat.
"You good, Rissa?" Ted asks with concern. "That's significantly more than you normally eat."
I put the muffin that I was eating down. "I'm fine, Ted. I'm eating for two. I'm pregnant."
Ted almost chokes on his food. "Really? Congratulations."
Cody laughs. "Figured it'd happen at some point with how you two are. Congratulations."
I smile. "Thanks. I think you two are the only ones here who didn't already know. By the way, we're keeping it pretty quiet for now."
"We understand."
"What are you going to do about work?" Chelle asks.
"I'm talking to Stephanie and Paul as soon as I get there tonight. Clearly, I won't be wrestling or managing anytime soon. I'm going to see how long I'll be allowed to at least do my backstage positions around here."
"Be prepared for a lot of planning for that baby."
"I will."
Randy wraps an arm around me. "We've got this all under control."
"This is so crazy though. We hadn't gotten pregnant when we were trying. Now, we weren't trying, and I got pregnant."
"The world works in crazy ways. What matters is there is a baby."
I smile at Randy. "I know. I'm excited about it."
"You and me both."
"Seems you're gonna have to renovate one of those numerous guest rooms into a baby nursery." Cody comments.
"I'll make sure that's taken care of."
"Anyway," Ryse says with a smile. "We are all so happy for you guys and will be around to help if you need it."
I smile. "Thanks."
"Have you guys even ever discussed baby names?" Eve asks.
"No, but we will get that figured out. We have time."
"Fair enough."
"Is now an appropriate time to make a comment about how much of an asshole Tyler was last night?" Ted asks.
I sigh. "I know. He's ridiculous. If it had been my decision, he wouldn't have even been invited last night. That was all Colby. I'm sick of Tyler. I'm not going to talk to him for a while, and neither is Randy."
"Really? I'm assuming you aren't telling him about your pregnancy then?"
"Not until he stops being a jackass. I'm not going to put up with him, and if he keeps acting the way he does, I have no issue with not having him around the baby."
"You and me both." Randy comments.
"Did you tell Colby?" John asks.
"Sure did. He's excited. Roman and Dean know too, and I have no issue with that." I explain.
"That's good. How are you handling telling the rest of your family?"
"I'm not sure yet. I've told Colby, and I'm telling Stephanie and Paul. I'm assuming we're telling Randy's parents at least, but as of right now, I'm not worried about it at least."
"I figured we'd just tell my parents the next time we see them." Randy comments.
"Sounds like a plan."
Randy pulled me close. "This is so great though."
I smile. "It really is. I can't wait to have this baby."
Randy and I walked through the backstage area at Raw, holding hands. Admittedly, I was a bit tense about needing to disclose my pregnancy to Stephanie and Paul, but it needed to be done.
"Do you know how you're going to tell them?" Randy whispers.
"Either I'll say it, or pull the pregnancy test out of my purse and throw it on the desk." I reply.
"How soon do you want to do it?"
"As soon as I can."
"Okay, I'll go with you."
"You will?"
"Yeah, I know you want to be the one who says it since it's your family, but I think it would make you more at ease."
"It would. Thank you."
Randy kisses my forehead. "I've got you."
"How hard do you think it's going to be to prepare for the baby?"
Randy stopped and looked at me. "It'll be difficult, but we'll be fine. Do you need to relax after we tell Stephanie and Paul?"
I nod. "I probably should."
"I'll walk you back to our locker-room after we talk to them then. You can take a nap then if you want."
"Okay. Thanks, I'm exhausted."
"I know.
Kofi walked in our direction. "Hey, Randy, Marissa, how are you?"
Randy and I both smile at Kofi. "Good."
"How are you, Kofi?" I ask.
"Good as well. Good luck tonight, Randy."
"Thanks." Randy replies as Kofi walks past us.
"What do you have tonight?" I ask Randy.
"I don't know. I'll have to go check the match card." Randy replies. "There's Stephanie's office. Do you know if they're in there?"
"I'm not sure. I'm just going to pop my head in and see. Stephanie won't get mad if I peek in without her in there."
"Okay."
I slightly open the door to Stephanie's office and see both Stephanie and Paul in there. "Hey, sorry if I'm interrupting, but do you two have a minute?"
Stephanie smiles at me. "You're not interrupting. Come on in. Is it just you?"
"Randy's with me." I walk in with Randy following me. "We just needed to talk to you guys."
Paul nods. "Alright. Since it's private, lock the door behind you guys."
Randy locks the door. "Thanks."
Stephanie smiles as Randy and I sit down. "So what's going on?
"Well…" I start to say. "I need to take significant time off from being on television. I know I can't give myself time off due to the setup of my contract, so here I am."
"Alright, why do you need to be off of TV?"
I take in a deep breath. "I'm pregnant."
"Oh, you weren't kidding about significant time off. Congratulations though!"
Paul chuckles. "Surprised it took this long, considering how Randy is. Congratulations to you both."
Stephanie nods. "I can get your time off of TV. I'll get your contract changed for now. I'm assuming you're keeping your backstage duties for now."
I smile. "Thanks. I don't want Dad to know yet though. I don't want a big deal made out of it yet."
"Understood. Have you told Shane?"
"Not yet."
"Hold back on that. He tends to accidentally mention things to Dad."
"Noted."
"If you need anything, either of you, let us know." Paul tells us.
Randy wraps an arm around me. "We will."
"I'm excited for you guys." Stephanie comments.
"Thanks."
"Am I always going to be this tired?" I ask.
Stephanie laughs. "I was always tired."
"Oh great."
Randy places his hand on my shoulder. "I'll let you take all the naps you want."
I smile. "Thank you, babe."
Stephanie gives me a reassuring look. "It'll be alright. Go to your locker-room and take a nap."
"Thank you."
Randy grabbed my hand as he stood up. "I think I'll take her to go do that."
"You two take care." Paul says.
Randy had a Two out of Three Falls match against Alberto. I was currently sitting on my locker-room couch to watch.
I look down at my stomach. "Your dad is crazy. He's always doing matches like this."
Chelle walks in. "Hey, how are you?"
I shrug. "I'm so tired. Randy is in a big match."
"I can see that. How are you feeling?"
"I'm alright. For now."
Chelle sat next to me. "Since it's been a day now, how are you taking the whole pregnancy thing?"
"Admittedly, I'm having a lot of anxiety about this. I'm not sure I'm going to be that good at this. My mom left when I was three. I didn't have a good example of a mother around for almost a decade of my life. I'm not sure I'm going to know what to do."
"I don't always know what I'm doing. You figure out how to parent. It's different for each child."
"I just don't know. Randy is still gonna have to work. He seems to be pretty great at the whole parenting thing. I'll be alone with the baby some."
"You'll be alright. Plus, you'll have people around that can help. I'm sure Randy's parents would be willing to help."
"I hope so."
"They adore you. They would."
"Hopefully."
Randy wins the match. I smile as I watch.
Chelle puts a hand on my shoulder. "I'm here if you have any questions."
