SmackDown Filming: January 1, 2013
"Gotta love being stuck backstage with nothing to do at work." I muttered under my breath as I sat in my locker-room.
Randy smirked as he looked at me. "You can't do any wrestling or managing. There's a baby inside you."
"I know that, but there's nothing to do even backstage for me tonight."
"Just take the free paycheck, Rissa. Or look hard enough to find something." Randy stopped as he was walking past me to kiss my forehead.
"Do you have a match that I can watch tonight at least?"
Randy nodded. "I'm teaming with Sheamus to face Big Show and Antonio Cesaro tonight."
"Sounds fun. You do team with Sheamus a lot though."
"I'm aware, and I really don't mind that. I'm pretty good friends with him."
"I know. That's good for both of you."
Randy started stretching. "You are not wrong there. I can't wait to get home."
"You and me both. It's easiest for me to sleep at home."
Randy gave me a sad look. "Sorry that you still have to travel."
"It's not your fault. I still want to work right now."
"I know, Marissa. I know."
"I'm so excited about this baby though."
"We both are." Randy smiled at me. "We get another little addition to our family. I couldn't ask for anything more amazing."
I laid on the couch. "It's amazing. I love this baby so much without even seeing him."
Randy stopped stretching and walked over to me. "He's our little boy. I love him too."
I kissed Randy. "This is so amazing. Absolutely amazing."
Randy places his hand on the baby bump as he kisses me back. "Absolutely. Behave in there, little one."
I can't help myself from giving a small chuckle. "You two are going to be best friends after I give birth."
"I hope so. He could end up being a momma's boy."
"I can't help being a cool mom."
"Cool is an understatement." Randy stops kissing me. "I'm going to go find Sheamus and talk strategy. Are you going to hang out here?"
I nod. "Yeah, tell our Irish friend that I said hi."
"I can do that, fella." Randy winks before leaving the locker-room.
I sigh as I sit down. "You know your dad is something, little one. We might be in some trouble if you act like that, maybe even if you act like me."
I looked at my Aunt Caroline as I was in a video call with her. "Yeah, this pregnancy has been going well. First trimester sucked, but I'm in the second trimester now. I feel good."
Aunt Caroline smiles. "That's good. So I heard from Brittany that you didn't tell Tyler."
I roll my eyes. "Your daughter is a snitch."
Aunt Caroline laughs. "You didn't tell Tyler?"
"We're not talking. We've barely talked since his birthday. We haven't talked since the night I found out, back in November. It's too much unnecessary drama for this pregnant woman."
"I understand your point, Marissa. How's Randy been about all of this?"
"Honestly, he's been amazing. He doesn't get annoyed if I end up feeling tired. He's been helping more around the house. He's helping me plan the baby's room right now. I couldn't ask for anything better."
"Good for both of you. He seems like the parental type."
"Oh, he very much is. I can't lie. I love it. He's so helpful and caring."
"That's good. Sounds like he's doing everything he needs to while you're carrying the baby."
"Absolutely everything he needs to do. I'm so thankful."
"What are we thankful for?" Randy asked as he walked into the locker-room.
"You, you stud. I'm on a video call with my Aunt Caroline."
"Oh, hi, Caroline."
"Hi, Randy. Marissa has been telling me that you have been doing a great job with helping her out during this pregnancy." Aunt Caroline says to him.
"I have? I'm glad to hear that."
I smile at him. "You're so amazing. I've always appreciated you, but you have made me appreciate you even more during this pregnancy."
Randy walks over and kisses me. "I appreciate you too. No matter what I do, you're doing something even more amazing because you're growing our son inside of you and will bring him into the world. That's all you."
"But you're providing the support I need during this pregnancy."
"I'm trying my best to make sure you and the baby are okay. I'm going to head to guerilla for my match. See you later, Rissa. Talk later, Caroline."
"Bye. Love you."
"Talk soon, Randy." Aunt Caroline says as Randy exits the locker-room. "So you're having a boy, Rissa?"
I smile. "Yeah, the baby is a boy."
"That's great news! I'm assuming most people don't know."
"Not very many people know yet that the baby is a boy."
"I see. Well, I've had two sons myself, so I'm more than willing to give you parenting advice if you need it."
"Thank you. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time."
"I'm sure you'll be alright."
"I hope so."
"You will. I'm going to go now, so I can cook dinner. I'll talk to you later. Bye!"
"Bye, Aunt Caroline." I end the video call.
Eve walks in just as I end the video call and Randy's match starts. "Hey, are you busy?"
I smile. "Not at all. Come on in, Eve."
Eve sits on the couch with me. "What's up?"
I shrug. "Not much. Being pregnant I guess."
Eve laughs. "You've been pregnant for a bit now. I'm used to it."
"Thirteen weeks." I comment. "That's how far along I am."
"You're done with the first trimester."
"Yeah, I'm done with that."
"How many kids are you guys gonna have?"
"We're only planning on only one more after this. That'll put us at three. I think that's plenty."
"Fair enough." Eve says as Sheamus pins Antonio Cesaro after an RKO from Randy to win the match. "They won."
I smile. "They sure did. Randy's been doing great lately. I can only hope that will continue for us."
