Raw: January 7, 2013
I sat down in my office, going through my emails on my laptop. Randy was currently in our locker-room, getting his gear on for his match against Heath Slater tonight. He was also supposed to bring me food from Catering on his way back because I was absolutely starving. Someone knocks on my office door.
"It's open." I say as I look towards the door.
"Is that Mrs. Marissa Orton?" The man walking into my office says as he opens the door.
I look at him in surprise. "Is that Mister Dwayne, the Rock, Johnson?"
Rock laughs. "Nice to see you too. Congratulations by the way. I heard the news. I haven't had a chance to tell you congratulations yet since I've been busy and not here at WWE."
I smile. "Why thank you."
"So how far along are you?"
"Fourteen weeks, I'm starting to show some now. No more hiding the pregnancy."
"Says the woman who posted the announcement of her pregnancy on Christmas."
I laugh. "People were going to find out anyway. It just seemed like a good time to me."
"I see. Speaking of your pregnancy, where's the husband at today?"
"Getting ready for his match. He's supposed to bring me food though. I'm so hungry."
"I'm sure he'll bring you food soon. You're the mother of his child. So this is what Marissa Orton does now?"
I give a small laugh. "Until she's able to wrestle again, I guess. I heard you're getting a WWE Championship match at the Royal Rumble."
"That might be the truth. I'll be facing whoever wins in this WWE Championship TLC match tonight."
"So Punk or Ryback?"
"Punk or Ryback."
"I don't know much about Ryback, so I'm gonna assume Punk will win."
"We'll just have to wait and see."
"I feel weird about not wrestling now, especially since it's about to be the Road to WrestleMania."
Rock gives me a serious look. "You're pregnant. That's something more amazing than main eventing WrestleMania. Cherish it."
"Oh, I will. Don't think I'm down and out after giving birth though. I'm going to be in the main event of WrestleMania one day."
Rock laughs. "Now that definitely sounds like the Marissa Orton that I know."
"I would hope so."
Randy walks in with a plate full of food. "Sorry I took so long. Here's your food, sweetheart. Hey, Dwayne."
"Hey, Randy!" Rock says as he glances at his phone. "Congratulations on the baby! Sorry to cut the conversation short, but I need to get going. See you both later."
Randy and I both nod. "Okay. See ya later."
Rock leaves. Randy places the plate of food in front of me.
"Took you long enough." I mutter.
Randy sat down across from me. "Sorry, sweetheart. How's it going?"
I shrug. "I'm okay. I'm pretty bored honestly."
Randy steals a piece of celery off of the plate. "Me too. Tonight's definitely a night that I'd wish you could manage me."
"Why? It's just Heath Slater."
"Because he could bring his 3MB buddies along."
"Jinder and Drew? It still shouldn't be much of an issue."
"I hope it isn't."
I smile at him. "I'm sure you'll be fine."
Randy sighed. "Hopefully. I'm hoping to end it quickly."
"You're Randy Orton. You can end it quickly."
"Glad that you're confident in me."
"Do I have a reason to not be confident in you?"
"No, I'm just glad you are."
"Okay, I love you."
Randy grabbed my hand. "I love you too."
"It's weird that I only have a few months left of being backstage."
"You'll be back though, Rissa. It's not like it's permanent."
"I know. It's just weird."
"It'll be okay though. You'll be back."
"Eventually."
"But the fact is you will." Randy smiles at me. "And we'll be here, doing things together."
I nod. "That'll still be amazing."
Randy grabbed my other hand, so he was holding both of them. "You're going to be able to come back. It'll be okay."
"I know. I just feel weird."
"That's understandable. Wrestling has been your life for damn near a decade."
"I know. It's been over eight years."
"It's been a bit. That's for sure."
"I've never liked big changes."
"I know. I need to get to guerilla."
"Okay."
I watched from a monitor in Catering as Randy has his match against Heath Slater. Randy knocked both Jinder and Drew off of the apron before hitting Heath with the Draping DDT. He then hit Heath with the RKO when he got up and pinned him.
"Here is your winner, Randy Orton!"
Eve smiles as she walks up next to me. "Another victory for the Viper."
I laugh. "Yeah, I miss being his manager."
"You have to stay away from the ring though."
"I know. Having this baby is a bigger deal than wrestling, but my life is changing so much."
"That's understandable. You're gonna be fine though. Wrestling will still be around for you."
"I know. I'm glad I can still watch Randy at least."
"Exactly, you have that."
"I hope things go well for you once you're done."
"I'm sure they will."
"Are you excited about this wedding in just over a week?"
"I'm very excited. We get out of this cold winter weather and get to go to the Bahamas. Plus, two of our best friends are getting married."
"It's gonna be a whole lot of fun. It's a shame that I won't be able to drink."
"Just make Randy take you to the Bahamas again sometime after the baby is born."
"I could do that, but I'd only do that if he'd want to go again."
"He practically agrees with everything you want."
"Yeah, but I don't want to make that be why we'd go again after the baby is born."
"I'm sure you can find other reasons."
"Maybe, but I'm not worried about that right now. Let's just worry about Ted and Ryse's wedding."
"You should worry about work and the baby too."
I give a small chuckle. "Believe me, I am."
