Raw: February 4, 2013
I was using my phone to use YouTube to watch some of my old matches. Currently, I was watching my match against Beth Phoenix from SummerSlam this past year. I was starting to grow more and more reminiscent of my wrestling career at the moment.
Randy walked in and kissed my forehead. "Hey, how's everything going?"
I pause the video on my phone. "I'm tired. My back hurts. I'm getting reminiscent of wrestling."
Randy sat down next to me. "That's okay. You miss wrestling. It's completely understandable. There's nothing wrong with that. Is there anything I can do for you right now?"
"No, thanks though, babe."
Randy rubbed my shoulders. "I can't wait for him to be here."
I nod. "You and me both."
"How many people even know our baby is a boy?"
"Not many. That's fine though. Considering we're both famous and popular professional wrestlers, I'm fine with keeping it that way. It's something in our lives not actually divulged to the public."
Randy smiled. "That's fair. I couldn't agree more."
"I'm going to miss you so much when I go on maternity leave."
"Hey, I'll still talk to you every single day."
"You better."
"I will. I know you will kick my ass if I don't. Plus, I'll miss you so much too."
I lean on him. "I know."
"We still have two months though."
"That's true, but with being pregnant, I'm looking towards the future quite a bit. I have to plan for a lot of things."
"I know, Rissa. Don't worry. We'll plan for anything and everything."
"Thanks, Randy. Who are you wrestling tonight?"
"Wade Barrett."
"I should've known. It's always him or Dolph."
Randy sighed. "I'd prefer Dolph honestly."
I look at him. "You can't help that though."
"That's true. So what kind of plan do you have to handle certain things tonight?"
"What are you talking about?"
"This whole thing with Brock. If you're confronting him, I should go with you."
"I'm not confronting him tonight. I think I know who rehired him. That's who I'm confronting tonight."
"And who would that be?"
"Vickie Guerrero."
"Sounds like I'm not needed."
"I think I'll be fine. Thanks though." I glance at my phone as it starts to ring.
"Who's calling?"
"Uh…Trish actually, I half expected it to be Tyler. I'm gonna take this."
"Okay, I'm going to head to guerilla. I have an early match."
"Okay. Love you." I answer my phone.
Me: "Hello?"
Trish: "Hey, how's it going?"
Me: "Okay, I guess. My back hurts though. It's the pregnancy."
Trish: "I get it. Speaking of your pregnancy, when do you go on maternity leave?"
Me: "Right after WrestleMania week. Why do you ask?"
Trish: "Well…as you already know, I'm getting inducted into the Hall of Fame this year."
Me: "Yeah…"
Trish: "Well, as long as you don't think it'll be too stressful, I was hoping you would induct me."
Me: "Really? Me? I thought you would have Amy do it."
Trish: "Amy doesn't like to do speeches. Believe it or not, Rissa, you're my next most wanted choice. I just don't want it to be too stressful since you're pregnant."
Me: "Oh, I don't think it'll be too stressful. I'll do it. I'm just surprised. Thank you for choosing me."
Trish: "Absolutely. You're literally one of my favorite people. I'd be honored for you to induct me."
Me: "Well, I have no problem with doing it. I'll just have to start working on the speech."
Trish: "Thank you. Listen, I gotta go, but we can talk later. Bye!"
Me: "Bye."
Trish ends the call. I sit on the couch. This was a big deal, and I was honored by the opportunity.
I sat in Vickie Guerrero's office, waiting on her to arrive. She had just made an appearance on Miz TV along with Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman, which ended in Brock attacking Miz. While Miz and I were not friends in the slightest, I agreed with what he had to say about the three. Plus, Vickie had confirmed what I had suspected, that she had been the one to rehire Brock. Of course, after what he did to my father, I took a lot of issue with Vickie's decision.
Randy's match was on at the moment, so I watched it on the monitor in the office as I waited on Vickie.
Vickie walks in and sees me. "Uh…I didn't know you wanted to talk to me. I figured if you did, you'd want me to come by your office."
I look at her and cross my arms. "Usually, I would, but considering the situation, I figure you'd try to avoid me. I'm here to make sure we can chat. Take a seat, Vickie."
Vickie sat down across from me. "What do we need to discuss?"
"Your recent decisions, Vickie. You rehired Brock Lesnar without asking anyone in the higher-ups about it. I'm sure it cost the company a large sum of money. He attacked my father last week, and you didn't punish him for it."
"I have it under control."
"How? By kissing his ass? Vickie, this is way out of line. He's going to keep attacking people if he isn't set straight. Hell, he doesn't care about this company. You went around the company and rehired the most entitled jackass, and he's outta control. And most importantly, Miz is right about you."
"Miz is full of bullshit."
"He's not, and you know it, Vickie. Just so you know, you're on thin ice right now. Brock is going to apologize to Miz for the attack. You're going to tell them that. You rehired him. He's your problem, but seriously, watch yourself. You're getting close to not being considered for general manager."
Randy and I laid in bed together. It had been a long day for both of us, and we were both happy to be in bed.
"I think you handled Vickie well." Randy comments.
"Thanks. You did great in your match." I reply.
"Thank you."
"Trish asked me to induct her in the Hall of Fame."
Randy raised an eyebrow. "Really? Are you going to do it?"
"Yeah…I don't think it'll be too stressful for me. I told her I would do it. Plus, it gives me something small to still be involved in WrestleMania weekend."
"I guess that's true. I'm happy for you. That's going to be fun for you."
"Yeah, honestly, I'm surprised she chose me."
"It was clearly a good decision though."
"Yeah, I'll just have to work on a speech."
"And you'll get that figured out. This is you we're talking about."
"Yeah, you're right. I'll get it figured out."
