SmackDown Filming: February 5, 2013
I look at Randy as he walks in the locker-room. "Have you heard what your match is tonight?"
Randy raises an eyebrow. "No, why?"
"You're facing Mark Henry tonight. If he wins, he's in your Elimination Chamber match."
Randy groans. "Well, that's just great."
"But it is his first match in like nine months."
"That's true. I'll just need to hope he has some ring rust."
"Oh, ring rust, something I'll probably be dealing with in the future."
Randy smiles at me. "I'll help you work through it."
"Thanks, I appreciate it."
Randy sat with me. "Are you doing okay?"
I nod. "Yeah, I'm fine. Are you doing okay?"
"I will be once I don't have to worry about Mark Henry."
"Fair enough."
Cody walks in. "Randy, I heard about your match against Mark Henry tonight. Good luck."
Randy looks at Cody. "Thanks, but have you ever heard of knocking?"
"Sorry. Anyway, do you have a plan for Mark Henry?"
"I'll figure something out. I'll be fine."
I lay my head on his shoulder. "You better be."
"I will, Rissa. Don't worry."
Cody looks at me. "How's the pregnancy going?"
I nod. "It's going alright."
"Are you still tired a lot?"
"I'm always tired. If you're picking up on the fact that I'm bothered, that's not why."
"I figured it was because of Brock."
"For the most part, it is. Something else does have me bothered though."
"Is it your brother again?"
Randy shook his head. "It's Tyler again. He showed up at our house unannounced last Thursday and essentially started bitching her out about somehow being the reason that he has issues with me and how she's the reason he and I don't spend time together much anymore. That kind of bullshit."
"I hope you shut that shit down real quick."
"He wasn't listening when she tried to do it, so I came down and shut it down myself. I'm not going to tolerate that. He's got jealousy issues."
I sigh as I lay on Randy. "Can we be done talking about it now?"
Randy nods. "Sorry, babe."
Cody looked at me as we watched Randy's match against Mark Henry from backstage. "Have you guys decided on a name for the baby yet?"
I shook my head. "He's getting Randy's middle name, but we're giving him a different first name. It'll begin with R, but we don't have it decided yet."
Cody nods. "I understand. I bet you don't like seeing Randy face Mark Henry."
I sigh. "I don't. Mark is one of the few that can actually manhandle Randy. It worries me."
"That's understandable."
"How are things going with Eve?"
"Good, very good. I don't think either of us are used to being engaged yet."
I gave a small chuckle. "It takes a bit of time. It's a huge step in your relationship."
"You're not enjoying watching this match." Cody says as we turn our attention back to the match.
"I'm not. It's hard to watch your spouse go through a match with someone like Mark Henry."
Mark Henry lifts Randy up and hits him with a World's Strongest Slam and pins him.
1…2…3!
"Here is your winner, Mark Henry!"
I groan. "He's in the Elimination Chamber now. I really don't like this."
Cody continues to watch as Mark celebrates in the ring. "I doubt Randy is any happy about this either."
"He's definitely not. Like I said, it's hard for me to watch Randy wrestle Mark. It'll be worse with Mark and other guys inside the Elimination Chamber."
"Randy will be okay. He knows these kinds of situations."
"I know, but it won't stop me from worrying."
"When will you not worry about me?" Randy says from the doorway.
I turn to see Randy. "We both know the answer to that question."
Randy walks over and pulls me into his arms. "You never will. Just like I'll never not worry about you."
Cody smiles at us. "I'm going to head out. See ya around."
Randy and I both wave at Cody as he exits the locker-room.
"Are you okay?" I ask quietly.
Randy kept his grip on me. "I am not happy about losing, but that just makes it clear to me that I need to be better prepared for the Elimination Chamber."
I nod. "I understand. That's fair."
Randy was watching a movie as we both laid on the bed on our tour bus. I was supposed to be watching the movie too, but my mind was in other places.
Randy looked at me. "What is it?"
I give him a confused look. "What?"
"What is bothering you? Clearly something other than Brock Lesnar or Tyler is bothering you. What is it?"
I sigh. "My mom, what if I'm not a good mom? She wasn't."
Randy starts caressing my cheek. "You'll be a great mom. Hell, you already are."
"The further I get into this pregnancy, the more I think about the possibility."
"Like I've said before, you already are a great mom. Look at how you are with Al. Hell, I think she likes being with us more because of you than me. I know this is because it still bothers you how your mom just left and didn't reach out for nineteen years. I want to remind you of something though. A twenty-two year old you and a twenty-four year old me traveled to Davenport after she reached out. We visited your mom and stepdad. Your mom started getting critical of you, and you told her off. One of the things you said to her was that you're not anything like her. I know it's been over seven years, but I think I know you plenty well enough to say that you still aren't anything like Janine. You would do anything for Al. You would do anything for the baby, and I know that there isn't a chance in hell that you would willingly leave without reaching out for as long as Janine did that to your family."
I smile at him. "I definitely needed to hear that. Thanks, babe. I know I've been slacking on going to therapy recently. I think I'm going to go this week."
Randy nods. "That's probably a good idea."
"Yeah, I love you."
"I love you too." Randy turns the movie off. "Let me read to the baby, and then we can go to bed."
I nod. "Okay."
