First Magic Lesson is Story Telling

Manny and Luz are seen sleeping together in the same room, but on separate mattress because they don't have any other spare rooms, but Maria was able to help make the house a little bigger for the rooms in the past.

Frida opens the door quietly coming in and tiptoeing to Luz's bed seeing her sleeping with a drool coming out with King sleeping next to her, and she looks over to Manny seeing him sleeping upside-down and snoring.

"Aw, these humans are so cute sleeping, I almost feel bad to wake them up." Frida said.

"Almost." Frida smirked and formed a magic circle on her mouth then let out a loud bat screeching causing both humans to wake up crashing on the floor.

"Good morning, human friends!" Frida cheered while doing a rockstar pose.

"Dang, that's even louder than how my dad usually wakes me up." Manny groaned rubbing his forehead.

"Wait, everything that happened yesterday… It wasn't a dream!" Luz smiled squealing of joy as she jumps to the window.

"Good morning, terrifying fantasy world!" Luz shouted to the outside world.

Then a big monster is swimming in the water looking at the girl as he heard her said morning and decided to greet her back.

"Good morning." The monster waved hello before sinking into the ocean as Luz is a little weird out from that.

"Good morning, you little cutie-pie." Luz greeted King forcing him to wake up with a hug much to his dismay along with some kisses on his cheek.

"I am not your cutie-pie!" King screamed of frustration.

"Yes, you are." Luz and Frida said at the same time before the former hug King tight and put him down on her bed.

"I know." King sighed.

"Hey, how about giving me some good morning high-five!" Manny held up his hands and the two girls high-five him together.

"Okay, I'm gonna wait outside while you two help change each other into your clothes." Frida said.

"What? No, no, we don't do that? That doesn't exactly work in our world." Luz and Manny gasped blushing of embarrassment as they try explaining to Frida at the same time.

"Oh man, you guys should see your faces." Frida laughed while holding her stomach.

"Relax, even on the Boiling Isles we're not that dense." Frida said as she uses her magic to create a thin rock wall between them.

Luz and Manny sigh though their cheeks are still blushing and wonder what would've happened if Frida hadn't done that, even though they could've taken turns with waiting outside of the room.

The three teenagers went to the bathroom as Frida opens the door letting out two owls as they fly away.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot about them." Frida realized as they walk in.

They walk into the bathroom where Hooty is there to greet them.

"Hi, Luz! Hi, Manny!" Hooty greeted friendly.

But the greeting ended up backfiring on the living owl head as the two humans screams in shock and Luz karate chop him on the head.

"Ow! I'm just wishing you a good morning. Jeez! Hoot! Ow!" Hooty complained as he retreated back to the front door.

"Well, maybe you can try being less creepy!" Frida shouted and let out a sigh.

"Yeah, like that's ever going to happen." Frida said.

Luz looks over at the mirror and her Azura book, she flips it to the headshot of the main character and holding it up to the mirror.

"This is it, old girl. Your first day on the Boiling Isles, as a Witch Apprentice." Luz talked to herself.

"Does she always do what?" Frida asked Manny.

"She has her moments." Manny shrugged.

"Okay, you two. There are a few things I should warn you about Eda before we go downstairs and it's best that you hear them." Frida said.

"That she's strict, her training is unusual that could accidentally kill someone without realizing?" Luz asked.

"What? No! I've been through her training and I'm still alive, Eda is not that careless… Most of the time." Frida said moving her eyes to the left.

"You hesitated." Manny noticed that pause in her sentence.

"Whatever, look! You guys need to know that Eda may agree to each you guys magic, but she's gonna be all like giving lectures and showing you some stuff because she's not exactly known of doing things right now or not mostly." Frida explained.

"In other words, she's a lazy bitch." Manny figured out what Frida is going with.

"Exactly!" Frida said with a thumb up.

"But that doesn't mean you guys won't be learning things about magic and the Boiling Isles which my mom will be helping out with that." Frida stated.

"Has Eda ever taught anyone else besides you?" Luz asked.

"Nope, I've been the only student since mom, and I met Eda." Frida answered.

"Now come on, mom usual does the cooking around here and you're going to love the breakfast she makes!" Frida smiled.

"Wait, I need to look Witch Apprentice before my masters!" Luz rushed back to the bedroom hoping to find some witch clothes.

"Wow, that girl gets too excited, it was definitely the right choice for you guys to stay." Frida smirked.

"You're telling me, I may end up getting grounded by my dad once come home for the rest of my life, it'll be worth." Manny smirked.

"Classic parents with the grounding forever and stuff." Frida sighed with a small smile.

Once Luz finish changing, the three young ones went downstairs to meet up with Eda and Maria as the latter is cooking up some food for breakfast and notice them come down.

"Oh look, Eda. It's Frida and the two humans you promised to teach them magic during their stay here." Maria said reminding the old woman of the humans.

"Huh?" Eda confused and saw the two humans.

"Good morning, Eda the Owl Lady. I am ready for my first day of Witch Apprenticeship. And a good morning to you too, Lady Maria who may do the training most of time." Luz greeted dramatically.

"Yeah, morning." Manny greeted normally.

"Uh, who are you two again?" Eda asked only got get smack on the head by a frying pan.

"What did I just say?" Maria angered with her eyes turning red in the sclera.

"Geez, don't hit me when it's early in the morning. At least let me finish my cup of apple blood." Eda groaned as she drinks her mug.

"You mean apple juice?" Luz asked.

"No." Eda answered and drinks again.

"Apple has their own blood in this world? Man, wish I could've thought of that for a Halloween prank." Manny mumbled to himself.

"Don't worry, mom. I already gave them the throwdown about Eda's teaching methods and being lazy with you helping out." Frida informed her mom.

"Gracias, sweetie. Now come and eat your breakfast." Maria thanked as she carries two plates with using her magic to make the other ones float.

"Oh, they look good." Manny commented.

"I just hope they are good for your human bodies, I haven't study enough to know if our world's food will make you feel sick or not." Maria warned.

Luz and Manny nods as they eat the food in front of them. True the taste is very weird nothing they have ever tasted before, but it's good enough for them to chow down and may not get a stomachache soon.

"So, is there anything you would like to know?" Maria asked.

"I do, I do!" Luz raised her hand.

"Well, it looks like you're… huh, dress for the lesson?" Maria said finding odd of Luz wearing her outfit.

"Are you kidding me? She's wearing a bathrobe and that is the dirtiest traffic cone I've ever seen." Eda pointed out.

Luz took off the hat blowing the dust away to be in fact a traffic cone that was covered in layers of dusts, this causes Manny to laugh from this along with Frida and King thinking how silly Luz is now.

Then Frida looks down after hearing a whimpering sound coming from below her and see the blue and red dog with his paws on her hip.

"You know I never forget about your, Roadie." Frida picked up her dog and fed it a little of her meat.

"Hey, I've seen that before, on your stick." Manny said looking at the dog and remembering the figurehead on Frida's staff.

"My stick?" Frida pretended to be confused.

"Oh, you mean my… witch staff!" Frida demonstrated of changing the dog into her staff.

"De ninguna manera, niña!" Manny shocked.

"Totally way, Roadie here is my Palisman. The best kind of "Pal" a witch could ever ask for." Frida smirked as she pets her Palisman.

"Are we going get one?" Luz asked exciting.

"Not right away, Luz." Maria giggled, seeing the enthusiastic coming from this girl.

"You must first start to learn more about magic and other things which you just started, but we can make talking about Palismen your first lesson." Maria suggested.

"Oh yes, please tell us!" Luz exited clapping her hands.

"Eda, would you mind calling Owlbert here for a moment?" Maria asked.

Eda just shrugs and put two fingers together into her mouth to do a whistling sound then the little owl known as Owlnert came flying into the kitchen and lands on her shoulder, but Eda just kept drinking her Apple Blood.

"Now let me show you mine." Maria moved her hair over her shoulder and puts her hand inside for a second until she felt something in her hand.

"Say hello to my Palisman, Cara de colmillo or just Colmilo." Maria introduced her Palisman in the form of a bat with four wings and fangs a bit longer than a normal bat.

"Wow, cool name you gave him." Manny complimented making Maria smile.

"Palismen such as these lovely creatures are both objects and living creatures for you see, they are made from a special wood that is known as Palistrom which you crave the Palismen to become the partner of a witch." Maria started explaining about Palismen.

"They're literally magical woodenly creature, that is so awesome!" Manny amazed of hearing this.

"Yes, having a Palismen can really help a witch since they also have their own magic powers from within though it's only with their users can that be brought out." Maria stroked the chin of her bat.

"I think I remember you told me there used to be a tradition that teenage witches go get their own piece of the Palistrom to crave their Palismen." Frida remembered.

"Yes, that used to be the case for witches, but I'm afraid that tradition is no more because the Palistorm trees are very rare and hard to come by now this this day in age." Maria sighed sadly.

"Yeah, it all because they've been over harvest over the years, some of the remaining ones are being kept for safekeeping or being sold in the black market." Eda added.

"Ouch, guess that means we'll be hard for us to get our own when we are ready." Luz exclaimed.

"Yes, but I have there are some people that are working hard to regrow the Palistorm though it's a slow process." Maria mentioned.

"I was lucky to get my partner because my mom and I know someone with a thing for those special woods." Frida bragged.

"Does everyone need to create their own individual Palismen?" Luz asked.

"Yes, but that doesn't have to be the case because Palismen are also living creatures of their own will. When the previous owner dies, they can be move on to find another master if he or she are proven worthy to that Palisman." Maria explained.

"Like adopting your own pet!" Luz said with her eyes widen of joy.

"Si, you can put it like that." Maria giggled.

"How long have you had your Palismen, Frida?" Luz asked.

"It's usual when at the right when a witch is halfway through the magic lessons can they have their own Palismen but let just say I had mine a little early about a year ago." Frida answered.

"I feel like you're about to tell us a story, and I want to hear it!" Luz demanded exciting.

"Better do it, Luz can't be stop when she's like this." Manny warned with a chuckle.

"Just one more thing, young witches are usually given the chance to have their Palismen at school, but that's going to be different with us… and Eda." Maria said though Eda didn't seem to mind.

"And like she said, you need to learn magic which you're gonna have to work for." Eda said gesturing her hands to the two humans to follow her.

Eda leads them to the living room where some stuff are still laying around on the floor as Maria looks a bit displease with the mess, but she learned to deal with it since moving here.

"I run a few businesses. On weekends, I offer rare human treasures that Owlbert drags over from your side of the realm." Eda holds up a toy sword that talks.

"I remember having that as a kid, I thought the way it talks was funny." Manny laughed from the memories.

"Who doesn't find it funny." Eda tossed the toy sword away.

"But most days I sell only the finest homemade elixirs and potions." Eda used her magic to bring in the bag as the two looks at the labels.

"Snake oil?" They look puzzled.

"No one wants an un-oiled snake. Follow me." Eda said as they went up onto the balcony.

"Is it going to be a quest?" Luz asked.

"Today you'll deliver packages and sell potions to that town over there, Bonesborough. You'll have to be careful. I have rivals everywhere who'd love to take my business down and you along with it. You wanted a dangerous magical quest? Sister, you've got one." Eda smirked.

"Also try not to piss anyone at the town because there are some tough folks that wants to eat your flesh like a little fairy." Frida warned.

"Yeah, we already knew that the hard way." Manny remembered that little fairy from yesterday that wanted to eat them.

"But don't worry, I'm going to be tagging along so you two don't get lost or eaten or both." Frida grinned.

"And King is going with you, I don't want him sleeping all day in the house." Maria crossed her arms under her breasts.

"You got it, mom." Frida winked.

(Later)

Manny and Luz have followed Frida through the town of Bonesborough delivering the potions along with her showing some interesting things, like the fire hydrants are alive and can be ride like bulls, people's faces are down at the bottom than the top, ice-cream here are most likely alive as Frida eats one making the two humans feel sick.

"You two are gonna love this." Frida said they stand on top of a bus stop.

And the bus turns out to be a giant egg as one large baby bird came out and some people went in taking the egg, Frida drag the two on top running long the rolling egg to the next stop.

"Oh man, this is so awesome once you get past the creepy and freaky stuff." Manny complimented.

"I know, I think I got that egg goo in my shoe, but I don't care!" Luz smiled.

"Pleasure doing business with you." Frida shakes her hand with a tentacle of a monster octopus man.

"So, about the story of getting your Palisman?" Luz asked smiling.

"Oh boy, let me tell you, it was something I almost got my eaten for believing in something that wasn't true in the slightest." Frida laughed a bit.

"What happened?" Manny asked.

"It was a few days after I got Roadie, I was doing potion deliveries like right now, but I was bored and wish for something to happen until I met this wizard guy who claims I could be a "Chosen One" for a greater purpose." Frida started her story.

"A Chosen One!" Luz gasped.

"Yeah, I was surprised too when he told me and sent me out on a quest to get a special item, but what I didn't know it was all a trap to make me bait for that wizard guy to kill Eda." Frida said.

"Seriously, but why?" Luz asked gasping again.

"He has some beef with Eda because she's been stealing her costumers from his potion business for years, and the wizard wasn't even a real wizard, just a bug demon. And the only one wasn't entirely fooled was Roadie." Frida gestured to Roadie walking on her right who barks.

"Roadie also was the one who saw through the illusion, Eda and mom came to the rescue defeating the jerk and Eda ate him." Frida finished her story as the two are shocked of hearing that last part.

"Come on, there's something I want to show you." Frida smiled.

The changes with Manny, Luz, and King flying with Frida on Roadie showing them the amazing view of the Boiling Isles that is actually the decomposing body of a Titan much to their shock.

"This place has its own charm to make itself look beautiful despite everything else being gross in every way." King bragged.

"Eda told me something once; if you wait around for a prophecy to make you special then you'll wait just be dead. And that's why you need to choose yourself." Frida recalled those words.

"Wow, that sounds very wise from a lazy bitch." Manny commented and everyone laughs.

"Thanks for showing us this, Frida. You really made our day." Luz thanked.

"No problem, what are friends for." Frida smiled and everyone continue watching the view for a little while longer before handing back home.

KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!

Manny and Luz sure learned a lot of things like the Palismen and what they're made of and their purpose in the world for witches, very different than the Witches Before Wizards episode as that already happened in Frida's case.
