Staying in for Raining Acid Storm
The scenes of the Owl House living room being recorded by Luz on her phone like a natural documentary show on the subject of one certain little King of Demon.
"And here we have the most fearsome creature in the world, the King of Demons." Luz showed King struggling with a duck sock trying to tear it off from his nose.
"Facing his natural enemy, the ducky sock!" Luz said with sone giggling from Manny and Frida.
King finally got the ducky sock off and tearing it into pieces with his claws then stomping on those pieces with a cute grunting sound.
"Where are you now, ducky sock?" King shouted.
"Oh man, I'm never getting tired seeing him being so helplessly cute." Manny teased.
"So, why'd you call me here again?" Luz asked.
"Oh, yeah." King remembered why he ask the three kids (even though he's younger than them) and jumps on a table.
"Human Luz and Manny, you've been so obsessed with witchcraft that you haven't learned anything about my kind. Prepare yourself for..." King ripped down a curtain showing a cardboard with many photos of different demons and puts on a hat and spins the cord on top of it.
"Demons 101. Demons like me are grim tricksters of the twilight, creatures of sulfur and bone." King announced the start of his own class.
"And cute little paws." Luz and Frida said at the same time.
"And cute little paws. True." King sighed.
"We live only to create chaos and misery. Our only weaknesses are purified water and passive-aggressive comments. Sometimes." King explained.
"Wow, so even demons have inner demons." Manny surprised to hear that.
"That fact is too true." King nodded and pulled out a picture of a demon with a spiky shell on its back.
"The most powerful demon of all is the Snaggleback. He's a—"
"Bad boy!" Luz started to do filter with colors and stickers.
"Luz, pay attention. This information could save your life someday." King demanded his lesson to not be ignore.
"No, no. I am so paying attention. This is my paying attention face." Luz proclaimed showing her "Paying attention" face.
"Hey, send me a video King fighting against the ducky sock." Frida giggled with her own IPhone.
"Don't worry, King, I'm not interested in learning about demons and I'm hoping to know if there are any tiger demons that could help with my power." Manny said.
"Thank you, Manny. At least you have potential given your weird green fire power." King smiled, glad that Manny is here.
Then they heard thundering sound coming from outside with lightning crashes.
"Oh great, it's gonna rain." Frida exclaimed.
"Oh, we love playing in the rain!" Manny and Luz excited as they run outside despite Frida and King trying to tell them to stop.
"Oh man, I love getting wet and playing in the mud!" Manny chuckled.
"I bet this flower is looking forward to the first few drops." Luz kneeled down to a flower.
But when one rain drop hits the flower, it withers and immediately die shocking the human teens.
"Manny! Luz! What are you doing? Get back inside right now!" Maria hurried to the kids and brining them back in the Owl House.
"Boiling rain! Everybody inside now!" Eda shouted as she run to the house as fast as she can and jumps into the house.
"Okay, I believe that is everyone, except for Hootie since the house is his whole body." Maria counted everyone.
"Mom, I think Manny wants to breath now." Frida chuckled.
Maria was confused at first until she looks down realizing that she is holding Manny's head between her breasts causing her to blush madly and hurry push him off.
"S-Sorry about that." Maria apologized.
"Ah, I think my face hurts." Manny winced a bit and shows a small burn on his under his scar, and it looks like Luz also got a burn on her arm.
"Alright, I'm gonna put up the shield spell. Wait for me." Eda said as she summons Owlbert and going outside.
"Dang, never knew the rain in this world could be do deadly from just a few drops." Manny shocked.
"That's how it always been in the Boiling Isles, we have other painful things such as the gorenados, shale hail, painbows." Maria listed the odd weather things.
"Painbows?" Manny confused of the last part.
"It's like a rainbow but looking at it turns you inside out." King explained.
"I still remember that time, it was so painful." Frida exclaimed and shivers from the memory.
"Look, now we're boo-boo buddies." King placed a bandage on his nose after giving one to Manny and Luz for theirs.
"Oh, my gosh, I love you so much." Luz squealed as she falls over to King.
"So, until the boiling rain stops, no one is allowed outside tonight." Eda said while forming a magic white ball between her hands.
"And if the rain doesn't get you, the Snaggleback will. They wander the rain, feeding on boiled tourists." King showed a drawing of the Snaggleback creature, which Mara flinch a bit.
"Well, whatever the case, this force field spell should protect the house from boiling rains and made-up demons." Eda assured.
"Hoot! Well, hurry it up with that force field. That rain is getting closer to my precious stucco." Hooty pleaded feeling the burns raining on his body.
"Yeah, yeah, I got it." Eda said, grabbing the ball of light with her staff and slam it to the ground causing an orange forcefield to form above the Owl House.
"Wow, now that is putting the "Force" into it." Manny punned causing Frida to laugh.
"Wow! Someday I'd like to be as cool as Eda the Owl Lady. Magical, sassy, surprisingly foxy for her age." Luz amazed of the witch woman.
"I guess she does have a little charm." Manny commented.
"Which reminds me, why do they call you the Owl Lady?" Manny asked.
"Cause I'm wise." Eda proclaimed.
"Cause she coughs up rat bones." Hooty laid his own answered.
"Cause she eats the rats from the street." Maria said.
"Cause she's so easy distracted when it comes to shiny things." Frida added.
"No I don't!" Eda denied the claim.
King pulls out a pen from his hat and click the diamond on tip making it light up causing Eda to gasp.
"It sparkles and shimmers. It shines and delights. I must have it for my nest..." Eda delighted of the sparkler gem on the pen. She tries to jump for the pen only for King to pull it back and she crashes onto the ground.
"Yep, easily distracted." King nodded.
"You have a nest? I want a nest! Nest party!" Luz excited.
"No nest party! I do not want to go through the cleaning from the last nest party Frida threw." Maria glared at her adoptive daughter.
"It's not my fault those dark unicorns were extreme." Frida stated.
"Ugh. That force field really took it out of me." Eda groaned as Luz helps her up.
"Uh-oh. Moving a little slow. Age finally catching up to ya?" King teased, and Eda pull his hat down.
"Darkness!" King exclaimed.
"I'll wipe you up some tea." Maria said as she walks back in with Eda.
"This is perfect. Since we'll be stuck in the house all night, Eda won't have any excuse not to teach me a spell." Luz excited as she follows Eda.
"But don't you wanna finish our lesson? I was gonna let you scratch a demon's tummy. Me!" King said sadden.
"Oh, uh, sorry, King. But... magic." Luz said before going for Eda.
King becomes frustrated of Luz not wanting to continue the demon lesson as his horn pop his hat to deflate, and Manny threw the hat away into the boiling rain.
"If it makes you feel better, we can watch Luz make herself look like a fool." Manny suggested.
"That is attempting." King intrigued of this.
"Come now, Eda. It's time you give Luz and Manny their first magic lesson like we talked about, just one lesson and you can go to sleep." Maria reminded her of the talk they had.
"Right, to be a better teacher for them and show them I am the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles and not a lie." Eda sighed before letting out a yawn.
Lightning clap flashes with Eda standing in front of Luz and the others.
"Alright kids, every witch starts off with learn their own spells and work their way up to earning their staff. Now... tonight I will show you how to create... light." Eda formed a spell circle and created a giant ball of light in front of the kids and disappears.
"She is always this showing off?" Manny asked.
"You don't know the half of it." Frida chuckled.
"Be quiet. I need to focus." Luz shushed the two.
"Now, humans think magic is made out of thin air, but that's stupid. Everything comes from something. Let me ask you, kid. Where do you think magic comes from?" Eda asked.
"Oh, I know this one, it comes to the sac in your heart." Luz raised her answer.
"Correct. Now, everything depends on the spell circle. The bigger the circle, the more powerful the spell." Eda performed another light spell and bigger this time and fades immediately.
"Now, I'm not really sure how we can get you to do magic, I know witches did magic differently in the past, but I never bothered to figure out how." Eda laughed snorting.
"Bet you were a crazy in your school days." Manny chuckled.
"You better believe I was." Eda winked.
"Now, off to my nap." Eda said.
"That's it? Wait! I need to see you do the circle thingy again. I'll record it on my phone this time." Luz begged.
Now Luz is standing in front of Eda with her phone now on recording to the Owl Lady.
"Smile! You're on camera. One more spell won't kill you." Luz said as Eda groans.
"Fine. Now, you see, the... spell circle is really key because" Eda tried to draw a spell circle, but the magic faded and fell on the floor.
"Santa Tigre!" Manny gasped as the teens hurry to the now sleeping Eda.
"Welp, looks like one more spell killed Eda." King joked as Manny flaps Eda over.
"Oh, my gosh. My obsession with spells knocked out Eda. I'm a monster." Luz freaked out.
King slaps Eda face and nothing happen.
"Yep. She's out. Bap!" King said, then Manny and Frida slaps Eda too just to make sure, and chuckle.
"Is everything okay?" Maria asked as she comes in after hearing a little scream.
"Eda just passed out." King informed.
"En serio." Maria shook her head and use her magic to levitate Eda in the air taking her to her room.
The kids and Luz follow them to Eda's room that a giant nest is inside meaning she really does have a nest to rest in, and Luz removes a small skeleton from the nest.
"Sorry for pushing you, Miss Eda. Please don't hurt me when you wake up." Luz apologized.
"Do not worry, this isn't the first time Eda has been tired like this and she certainly won't die from it." Maria assured.
"Yeah, we saw her head get chop off last week and she still lives." Frida reminded them of that time.
"She's right, let's give her some time and she'll be back on her feet in no time." Manny believed.
"Si, it's not like Eda got another curse to deal with." Maria chuckled bluntly, and shock at herself for saying that out loud.
She notices the kids looking at her confuse of what the woman is talking about.
"A-Anyway, you kids should leave now." Maria pushed the kids out of the room and slams the door shut. Maria turns panting for a second.
"Oh querido, that was close." Maria whipped her forward.
(Living Room)
Luz is going over the video she records Eda doing a spell circle and try to do that herself only nothing happened, no light or anything.
"This is all she does. Why you gotta be so cryptic, Owl Lady?" Luz groaned.
"Hey, you know what's really cryptish? Let me tell you about the most spine-chilling demon. Smoochy-pie the Sweetie Baby! He's... Well, he's a lot more threatening than his name implies." King tried showing Luz the demon.
"Yeah, I bet the guy gets lots of more laughs than being feared." Manny laughed.
"Not now, King. I want to figure out this spell. But if I don't have a magic sac, what's the point? I'll just be twirling my fingers around un-magically forever." Luz complained.
"Man, you really want to be a witch that badly, do you?" Frida surprised to see Luz this determined.
"It's been her dream ever since we were little kids, wanting to make what's a fantasy into a reality like me wanting to become a strong warrior. Back home, we were nobodies, but we can be somebody here and I'm gonna help her in anyway I can." Manny determined as his eyes glow green for a second.
"Wow, that was very deep, Manny. Really." King impressed.
"I have my moments." Manny shrugged.
Frida does some thinking as she now wants to help Luz become a witch and wanting to do magic after hearing that little speech, then an idea came into her head that she believes it might work though it could be risk.
"You know, I think I know a way to help Luz get magic." Frida said.
"Really?" Luz asked.
"Yeah, she said witches used to do magic differently, so there has to be a way, right?" Frida pointed out.
"Are you thinking about this elixir Eda drinks?" King asked.
"Exactly. We see Eda drink this elixir nearly every day and she gets all super charge, so that could be the source of her power." Frida explained.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Luz cheered hugging Frida.
"Yeah, sure." Frida patted her back.
Frida and King arrive at the door of Eda's room with Maria having left to go finish that tea and reading her book, they tiptoe to the door as the blue hair girl opens it and King goes in since he's lighter and smaller to sneak around.
King slowly makes his way to the bright orange potion on the counter next to her bed, and dodge a demon trap though wasn't feeling it, he grabs the elixir then felt a little bad for taking this from Eda but decided to go through with this.
"Nice work, and what is this?" Frida grabbed a paper from King.
"It was attached to the elixir, pretty cryptic." King commented.
""An elixir a day." Oh yeah, cryptic." Frida agreed and placed it in her pocket then they meet up with the humans.
(Kitchen)
"Got it!" Frida and King showed the elixir.
"Wow. I can't believe I'm about to learn magic. Real magic. This is historic." Luz excited as she takes the potion from them.
"I got this on recording!" Manny held his phone to Luz.
Luz slowly make the elixir go to her lips as she wants to take in the moment that she is about to become the first human who can do magic, maybe second if Manny's power counts as magic, and was gonna drink until a loud thunder sound scared Luz so that much she threw the elixir at Manny's face knocking him down and the elixir bottle breaks on the floor.
"Golden elixir. Gone! This is awful." Luz exclaimed.
"Sorry about that, Manny." Luz apologized to her childhood friend who responded with a thumb up.
"So much for seeing you do a light spell." Frida said.
"Who even needs a light spell when we have tons of lamps?" King pointed out, and suddenly the lights went out earning glares from the three teens.
"Hooty controls the house lights. He probably just fell asleep." King said.
Suddenly they heard a crashing sound along with Hooty screams causing the four to get worried as they hurry to the front door, but what they found was a shadowy beast with its claws on the unconscious Hooty.
"What happened, the lights went out and—Ah! It's you!" Maria gasped.
The shadowy beast growls as ran off probably into the boiling rain.
