Sunday: April 7, 2013 11:24 P.M. (Randy's POV)

I walked back to the hospital room with food. Colby was sitting in the room and looked over at me. I passed him some food.

"Thanks." Colby says to me as he takes the food. "How are you holding up?"

"I'm not doing well." I answer as I sit in the chair next to Rissa's hospital bed. "I'm worried about my wife and my son, who are both hospitalized at the moment."

"Yeah, it's concerning. Rissa is a fighter though. She'll be okay. As for your son, he's got your genes and her genes. He's gonna be a strong baby. He'll be okay."

"Hopefully, I just want to protect both of them, but there's nothing I can do. It's driving me crazy. I can't protect my own family right now."

"Sometimes, there is nothing you can do. You just need to stay positive as much as you can. I told Kenny about all this a little bit ago. Apparently he said something to Tyler. Tyler messaged me about coming here to see Rissa. I didn't give him a definitive answer because up to you guys, especially her, and you haven't been on good terms. Do you want to bring it up to her?"

"He's not doing this while she's still in the hospital. He's absolutely not coming here. I'll tell her about it, but I'm pretty certain she'll agree. He's been a jerk. He came to our house and was completely rude to her, and now, he all of sudden wants to get up and play big brother again? That's not how it's supposed to work. She doesn't need him showing up and stressing her out. She has enough of a support system without him anyway."

"I'll tell him not to come."

"Good." I turn to see Sheamus in the doorway with the bags that Rissa and I brought to the arena. "Thank you so much."

"Of course, fella." Sheamus puts the bags down in the corner of the room. "How's she doing?"

"Well, I have a baby now. The doctor decided to do a C-section. Rissa here has to stay for a week. The baby will be in the NICU here even longer. Who all did you tell about Rissa being in labor?"

"I told Vince obviously. Other than that, just your group of friends and Trish. I don't think any of them are gonna go off telling people. I am supposed to tell you to expect a call from Vince though."

"I figured as much."

"Did you name the baby? I know you two hadn't decided on a first name."

"Yeah, she wants to name him after me. I'm going to double check with her in the morning just to be sure before filling out any birth certificate stuff."

"That's probably a good idea. Can I congratulate you on the baby or not because of the situation?"

"I'll take it. I'm not sure how Rissa will respond to that though."

"Noted. You should probably let the girls know that Marissa had the baby. I think they were planning on bringing her a bag of stuff for here to make her feel better."

"I will." I look over at Rissa and run my fingers through her hair as she sleeps. "I appreciate both of your guys' help, but you should go back to the show and rest. We have Raw tomorrow."

"What about you?" Colby asks with concern.

"I'll be fine here. I'm probably not going to sleep anyway. I'm too concerned about Marissa and the baby. I'll wait for Vince's call and let the girls know that she had the baby. Plus, if Rissa wakes up in the middle of the night, I'll be here."

"Okay…call if you need anything."

"I will."

"See you later, fella." Sheamus says to me before following Colby out the door.

Monday: April 8, 2013 3:16 A.M.

Sheamus and Colby had left over three hours ago, and Rissa had been sleeping that whole time. I was alone with my thoughts, and that wasn't good right now, considering the situation.

I was worried for Rissa, and I was even more worried for our baby. I knew that he was in the NICU, getting all the medical care that he should need, but he was born prematurely, which could cause a lot of problems.

"Why are you still awake?" Rissa mumbles.

I roll my eyes. "Well, hello to you too."

"What time is it?" Rissa asks tiredly.

"About twenty after three."

"In the morning?"

"Yeah, in the morning."

"Why aren't you sleeping?"

I sigh. "Honestly, I can't sleep. I'm too worried about everything."

"I get that, but you can't stay awake all week while I'm in the hospital, let alone however long the baby is here."

"I know, but I can't sleep tonight. I'm not gonna sleep tonight."

"How do you expect to make it through Raw tomorrow…today technically?"

"Do you really think I'm going to Raw?"

"Nobody's given it off to you officially yet, have they?"

"No, but with everything going on, I should be able to get the rest of this week off at least."

"You don't know that. What if you can't?"

I kiss her forehead. "You don't need to be worrying about work right now."

"I always worry about it. Who knows about me having the baby?"

"Colby and Sheamus…obviously, your dad, our main group of friends, and Trish as far as I know."

"Okay, is Colby still waiting in the waiting room?"

"No, he went back to the hotel with Sheamus a few hours ago after Sheamus dropped off our bags. Colby left his car just in case I needed to go somewhere."

"That's nice of him."

"By the way, not to upset you, but he did tell me that Tyler asked him about coming here to see you."

"Absolutely not. I don't want anything to do with him right now. What did you tell Colby to tell him?"

"I told him to tell Tyler no because I was pretty certain, based on our recent conversations, that Tyler wasn't going to be welcomed by you."

"You aren't wrong about that one."

"It's ultimately your decision, but I hope you know that you don't have to be around him just because he's your brother."

"I know, Randy. We live separate lives, and he's being an asshole anyway. I'm in the hospital. The baby is in the hospital. This is the last thing I want to deal with right now."

"I know. I just didn't want to keep the fact that he was trying to come from you."

"I know. Have you heard from Vince at all?"

"He called and asked how it went. I explained everything that happened. He was hoping to stop by in the morning before he goes to Raw, as long as you're up to having company. He told me that he didn't want to disturb you if you weren't feeling up to it."

"He can come by. I won't mind. You need to ask while he's here if you're needed for Raw though."

"I will."

"I wish the baby was in here with us."

"They're taking care of him in the NICU though." I grab her hand. "He'll be okay."

"This is my fault."

I give her a confused look. "How is it your fault?"

"It was probably stress that caused this. I was probably just stressing too much between the Hall of Fame speech and WrestleMania week. I saw you get laid out by Big Show. It was probably too much stress that caused the early labor."

"Even if it can be linked to stress, this is not your fault. You didn't know this was going to happen. Plus, he's getting the medical attention that he needs. He'll be okay."

"I really wish we'd been able to hold him though. I had a baby and didn't even get to hold him." Her eyes start to water.

"We'll get to hold him. Just give the doctors a few days. Plus, they'll probably get him in an incubator and let us have him in here."

"I hope so. This is nothing like how I imagined things to turn out."

"I couldn't agree more."

"You should really get some sleep."

"I don't know if I have it in me."

"Don't exhaust yourself, Randy. Get at least a couple of hours."

"Fine, I'll go lay on the couch over there and try to sleep. What about you?"

"I'll probably go back to sleep soon myself. I'm not supposed to even get out of this hospital bed yet. I'm not gonna be going anywhere."

"Good." I kiss Rissa. "Let me know if you need anything."

"I will. I love you."

"I love you too. Goodnight."

"Goodnight. Forever and always, Rissa."

She takes in a deep breath. "Forever and always."

9:34 A.M.

I held onto Rissa's hand as she laid in her hospital bed, talking to Vince. Rissa had been tense all morning. I didn't even want to consider leaving her side for more than five minutes. I was incredibly worried, and if I couldn't be with my baby, I was definitely going to be with my wife.

"I'm sure they'll let you hold the baby soon."

Vince says to Rissa. "How long are you supposed to stay in the hospital?"

Rissa sighs. "A week. And I keep thinking about everything that I'll have to worry about after I'm discharged. I'm going to have to find somewhere to stay here in New Jersey while the baby is still in the hospital and need to pay a large amount of hospital bills."

"You don't need to be worrying about that when you aren't even allowed to get out of your hospital bed at the moment." I comment.

Rissa looks at me. "Then when am I supposed to worry about it? We're not poor by any means, but we're not made out of money. We've never had this much expenses come up at once."

"We can afford it though. We'll get all these expenses paid for."

"We can't guarantee that if we don't know what all the baby is gonna need yet." Marissa wipes tears in her eyes. "Maybe you should go to Raw and SmackDown this week."

"I thought you wanted me here."

"I mean I do, but with everything we're going to need to pay for, it wouldn't hurt for you to go."

"I wasn't going to make him go to work." Vince tells Marissa.

"It's only a couple days. It'll be fine. Plus, it's not like he was written off TV."

"Are you sure about this?" Vince asks with concern.

"I'm certain. I'm fine with this. It's not like the baby isn't going to have anyone around. I'm definitely staying put."

"I don't like leaving you alone. I don't want to leave you here." I comment.

"Maybe I can help with that." Michelle says quietly from the doorway. "You could ride with John to the shows like I was supposed to, and I'll stay with Marissa."

I turn to Marissa. "Are you okay with this?"

Marissa nods. "Yeah, it'll be fine."
