Chelle was once again sitting with me at the hospital as Randy had gone to Boston to film SmackDown. I loved having Chelle's company, but I already missed Randy dearly. I knew it was only going to be worse for me when Randy was in Missouri while off work and I was here for the baby still.

Chelle looks at me. "How are you feeling?"

I sigh. "Upset and tired."

"That's understandable."

"They haven't even told me how the baby is doing."

"That would stress me out."

"Believe me, it does."

"I think he'll be okay. That baby is probably as stubborn as his parents. He won't let anything get in his way if he's anything like you two."

I laugh. "I guess Randy and I are both pretty stubborn. The kid is gonna be a handful if he inherited that honestly."

"Did you ever expect anything less?"

"No, I didn't honestly. I just hope the baby is okay. It'd mess Randy and me up pretty badly if something happened to my baby."

"Feeling a bit of that parental overprotectiveness?"

"Maybe a bit."

"That's okay. There's nothing wrong with that."

"There's nothing that I wouldn't do to make sure my baby is okay though. I'm not even concerned about how I am doing much at the moment. I know I'll be okay. It's everything that's going on with the baby that's uncertain."

"And you hate uncertainty."

"I absolutely despise uncertainty. It drives me crazy."

"I don't blame you, especially in this case."

"I just want to be there for my son. I wish I could hold him and bond with him. I went through all this to expect everything to be okay when it's not." I start crying. "I keep trying to be optimistic, but I'm not able to be."

Chelle grabs my hand and holds it tightly. "There's nothing wrong with that. Things could be okay, but you're going to worry. That's your baby. You can be worried. It's a parent's role to want to protect their child. That's what you want. Just remember that I'm here for you if you need to talk. The others are too. Randy is also probably more than willing to talk too."

"I hate that we have no choice but to split up. I'd like to have the whole family together, but it won't happen."

"It'll definitely suck, but you both are being responsible parents and that's admirable."

"I guess it is."

Eve and Ryse walked in with a large bag. I look at them with confusion but smile.

"How are you doing?" Eve asks quietly.

"I'm so tired, and I wanna hold my baby so much honestly." I answer. "Thanks for coming though. I like seeing you guys."

Ryse smiles. "Of course, we wanted to make sure you're okay."

"I'll probably be physically alright, but I'm not so sure I'm gonna take this well emotionally."

"That's understandable. So, we cancelled the baby shower for now for you like you asked, but there's a good number of people on the roster who had gotten gifts for you. We thought we'd bring them to you, so you can open them whenever you want."

I smile. "Thanks, tell everyone who gave gifts thanks for me."

Eve nods as she puts the bag down. "We'll just leave these here for now."

"Thanks. How have things been the past couple days?"

"Busy, we still went to Raw last night. It was chaotic as always."

I laugh. "Of course it was."

"Dolph cashed in on Alberto though. I don't know if you heard." Ryse tells me.

"I didn't. Good for Dolph. I bet the crowd ate that up."

"They did. Nikki is ecstatic too."

"She should be. It's great to see your significant other win a world championship. I've done it a lot myself."

"Yeah, Randy has been a world champion a lot."

"I can relate." Chelle adds with a chuckle.

"Of course you can." I laugh before standing up and walking over to the bag of gifts. "I'll open one for now. I probably should open more of these when Randy's around."

"Are you supposed to be walking around?"

"I can walk a little bit. I'll sit on the couch in here for a few minutes. I'm sick of being in this hospital bed." I grab a gift out of the bag. "This one is from Nikki and Dolph. I'll open this one."

The girls smile at me as I open the gift. It's a small rattle for the baby.

I feel tears in my eyes. "This is so cute."

"Are you okay?" Chelle asks with concern.

"I will be."

"You need to just keep it at just opening that one for now?"

I nod. "Yeah."

The girls all hugged me. I had a great support system.

John keeps his arm wrapped around Chelle. "Sorry I can't really stay around to see you much, Rissa, but I'm glad you're okay."

I nod. "Thanks. I understand. You two need to go back to your baby."

"We do, but don't feel afraid to reach out." Chelle comments. "Keep us updated. See you guys when we can."

Everyone else waves at John and Michelle. "Bye."

Chelle and John exit the hospital room. The rest of us hung around the hospital room. Randy grabbed my hand.

"I think I'm gonna go to sleep, so the rest of you can go. I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just tired. You're more than welcome to come by tomorrow. I appreciate you guys."

Ted smiles. "Of course. Call if Randy starts driving you nuts."

I laugh. "I will."

Ryse waves. "See you tomorrow."

They both exit as well.

"Don't forget the gifts are in this bag." Eve reminds me.

"We'll stop by tomorrow too. See ya later." Cody exits with Eve.

Randy looks at me. "Have you gotten into these gifts yet?"

I sigh before passing him the rattle. "Just one."

Randy held the rattle in one of his hands. "This is cute. Who's it from?"

"Nikki and Dolph."

"I'll have to thank them. We need to make a plan for being separated."

"I know."

Randy kissed my hand. "I think we're going to need to rent out an apartment here for you to stay at. Once Al is out of school, I'll get her here. I'll be here when I can after that. This is hard. We'll get through it. All four of us will."

Randy and I both turn as we hear a knock on the door.

Randy stands up. "I'll get it."

A nurse stood on the other side. "Mr and Mrs Orton? I have news about your baby."

I look in their direction with a concerned look.

"What kind of news?" Randy asks.

"Your son is doing okay. Since he was born early, he needs help breathing right now, and he will be in an incubator for now. We should be able to bring him in tomorrow though."

Randy grins. "Of course. Thank you."

The nurse smiles. "I'll let you know if anything changes."

The nurse walks away. Randy closes the door behind her. He sits down on the bed next to me and pulls me into a hug. I hugged him back as tightly as I could. I cried into his chest, and I could tell that he was crying too.

Randy kissed my forehead. "Everything is going to be alright."
