Market for Some Moonlight Conjuring

Manny and Luz are having another day in the Owl House with Eda playing a card with Owlbert and King is watching this because he is just bored, and it looks like Eda is really into the card game.

"Watch closely, you two. Hexes Hold'em is the most tricky game on the Boiling Isles. Any proper witch knows how to play." Eda explained about the magic card game.

"Oh boy, cards! The paper rectangles that old people think are fun!" Luz interested.

"Only this card game is really intense." Manny added.

Eda place down one card and a lightning bolt came out striking close to Owlbert as he takes cover then all his cards rise up with teeth and roared as they move forward toward the Owl Lady.

"Oh, looks like the adorable little birdy is gonna beak you up." Manny commented with a grin.

"Oh, you think so? But you should know that the deck is stacked against you, that's when you break out the wildcard." Eda revealed her up card with a tower and that card blasted all of Owlbert's cards away in green fire.

Fiery letters appeared above the table with the letters saying "WINNER: EDA" and the old witch woman started laughing in victory.

"Woo, I win! In your adorable owl face." Eda dragged and pointed at Owlbert's face.

"Dad always told me to be careful when playing with cards. Now I know why." Manny amazed of this awesome card game.

"You must really like playing to win, do you, Eda?" Luz asked.

"Oh, like you wouldn't believe! Victory always feels so good when winning just like now it feels… fluffy?" Eda puzzled of this strange feeling, like something is fluffing on her.

"Uh, Eda? It's happening again!" Luz gasped upon seeing what's on Eda's arm.

"What's happening again?" Eda asked.

"Your curse is returning!" King and Manny answered at the same time.

Eda yelp in fear upon seeing the feathers on her right arm and her nails are growing into claws as well.

"Hey guys, I just finish my jam session and… Oh my Titan! Eda's curse is happening again!" Frida gasped upon entering the living room.

"Don't worry, I just need to take my elixir and I'll be back to normal in no time." Eda shrugged, treating this as a no big deal.

"I'm afraid that's not gonna happen this time, Eda. I was just in your room because I realized that you might've forgotten to take your regular douse, but when I checked the box that you keep your elixir, it was empty." Maria explained as she entered the living room.

"Okay, that's something to worry about." Eda said bluntly.

"You think? You were a fierce monster when it happened." Manny commented.

"Yeah, all feather and dangerous looking too." Luz showed the picture of Eda in her Owl beast form.

"I know I should be repulsed, but that look is fierce." Eda impressed with herself.

"Eda!" Luz exclaimed.

"Sexy fierce is more like it." Manny complimented making Eda smile a bit.

"Manny!" Luz glared as her childhood friend/crush isn't taking this seriously.

"Sorry, I was trying to lighten up the mood." Manny apologized to his childhood friend/crush.

"We need to head to the market, hopefully my usual man has some on stock." Eda suggested.

"Market time!" Manny, Frida, and Luz cheered as they ran off for the door.

"I'm stealing everything that's not nailed down!" King shouted as he runs off too, only to be picked up by Maria in her arms.

"Oh no, you won't. I'm going to be keeping a very close eye on you, also because I just remember that I need to get some groceries today." Maria mentioned as she walked off with an upset King growling.

"Before we go, would anyone like to play one more hand of Hexes Hold'em?" Eda asked patting her pocket for her cards, only to discover the pocket is completely empty.

"Hey, where are my cards?" Eda asked.

The cards are shown to be within Luz's hands behind her back and quietly handing them to Owlbert.

"Take these and fly ahead. She'll have to follow us." Luz whispered to Owlbert before the owl Palisman flies away.

"Owlbert, you sore loser, gimme back my cards!" Eda chased after the little owl bird.

"Good thing we learned that little sneaky hand stealing trick back when we met that magician guy back in our world." Manny smiled.

"Too bad he turned out to be a con artist using his magician stage tricks for stealing." Luz said, sadden of the memories of that man.

"I take it Luz's a sucker for fun?" Frida asked.

"Like you wouldn't believe." Manny chuckled.

(Marketplace)

The Owl House resident arrives at the marketplace where all kinds of magical and strange things one can find for any monster and demon needs. Eda is wearing a hood over her head to keep her face hidden and Maria is with her for some support.

"Hey, open up, Morton!" Eda knocked hard on the store window.

"Uh, ju—... just a minute!" Morton responded.

"You stay with the kids, and no stealing while we're buying elixirs." Maria let King down.

"Yeah, yeah…" King rolled his eyes and went off to sit next to the kids, but having trouble get up until Manny helps him up.

"You know, some teenage folks like us wouldn't be interested in people watching because that would seem boring." Manny said.

"But people watching in the Demon Realm is more exciting and can see things that'll probably be gross." Luz stated.

They see people waiting at the bus stop, and the two humans soon discover this world's bus stop is a giant egg that literally rolls up to them and a big baby bird hatch out of the egg and comes out to allow the other demon folks to enter and rolls away to wherever they wanted to go.

And one familiar tiny wait girl with a big nose tried catching up to the egg-bus, but it was too late.

"Wait, wait! Aw, dang it." Tiny Nose sighed in sadness.

"The curse of tiny legs." Luz commented.

"I know the pain." King said.

"Yeah, pain that makes you laugh. But I kind of think you can outrun that tweep, anyway." Frida believed.

"She's right, especially when you run on all four." Manny agreed, this made King smile knowing that he can be faster than someone else around his size.

Suddenly they heard loud footsteps coming closer and they turn to the direction of a group of demonic men walking through the streets while pulling a wagon with a large monster tied down onto that said wagon.

"Whoa, that is one ominous parade." Luz said as she and the other kids went up to Eda and Maria.

"If only that was a parade." Frida muttered.

"Which is not. Those are demon hunters." Eda revealed who those guys are.

"Demon hunters who are also demons hunt other demons, now that sounds like a tongue twister." Manny surprised to see this with his own eyes.

"Dangerous nomads who capture and sell the most powerful beasts. Such cruel people who only care about their own security and survival when they have nowhere else to go." Maria explained.

One demon hunter formed a magic circle and blast a lightning shock at the demon monster on the wagon to get it to shut up for a while, Luz and Manny flinch from this.

"Best be careful to stay away from them, these guys mean business when it comes to hunting beasts." Frida said.

"Which I'm about to become if you don't open up, Morton!" Eda shouted while knocking on the grate again, and it finally opens.

"Sorry, Eda! I was up all night poison tasting and for some reason, I don't feel great." Morton explained his late opening.

Morton is a lanky, young man with light skin, light brown eyes, and thick brown hair almost reaching his shoulders. He wears a gray funnel hat and has pointy ears. He wears a mint green, long-sleeved top with fingerless gloves. On top of his shirt, he wears a long, brown overlay dress, with a dark brown belt and a frog necklace.

"Perhaps you should taste less of the poison, wouldn't want your business to suddenly get shut down due death." Maria advised.

"You know what, I'll think about that." Morton nodded.

"Whatever, I'm all outta my juice, pal." Eda handed him and elixir bottle with only a bite size elixir left inside.

"Oh, gee. Lemme see what I can do." Morton went into his store to see if he has more elixirs.

"Hey, I think I see Willow, Gus, and Zoe over there!" Manny pointed at their three friends from Hexside.

True to his friends, from across the street are Willow, Gus, and Zoe hanging out together though Willow and Gus look dejected of sadness while Zoe just looks angry with a glare on her left.

"Willow! Gus! Zoe!" Luz called out, getting their attention.

"Well, at least there are three things I'm glad to have come here today." Zoe smiled.

"Oh, were you hoping for one of us to make a grand entrance to fluff up your feathers?" Manny asked in flirting tone.

"I don't know, can you even handle being the wind beneath my wings." Zoe asked playfully as she flap her wings a bit.

Seeing them talk like that toward each other is making Luz feel uneasy for some reason, but she quickly pushes that strange jealous thought aside when she notices how sad her friends look.

"Wait, what's wrong? Who hurt my babies?" Luz asked holding Gus's face.

"Them." Willow sighed pointing at a group of girls.

Manny, Luz, and Frida turn their heads to see Amity hanging out with three girls though she is staring at a potion more while two of the girls are laughing together and the fourth girl with a third eye on the forehead is just watching them.

"If Amity is involved, it might be something hurtful in the emotional way." Frida scoffed.

"Perhaps a bit more than you think." Zoe formed a magic circle and brought out her Scroll showing what appears to be a profile screen like Manny and Luz use on their own phones.

"Amity sent out an invite to those girls for a moonlight conjuring saying it's gonna be fun, and she even said that we're uninvited just to get us." Zoe explained.

"And she keeps posting about it on her Penstagram account." Gus added with showing the comment part.

""It's conjuring night! No dorks allowed"? What a jerk!" Luz scowled at the mean girls.

"Okay, first thing I want to say… You guys have fantasy, wizard phones in this world and we just found out about it now! I suddenly feel like I want one now!" Manny gasped, shoving the Scroll on his face before giving it back to Zoe.

"Yeah, they're pretty wicked nowadays." Frida said.

"And second, can you guys tell us what exactly this moonlight conjuring is?" Manny asked.

"Yeah, we're gonna need some info." Luz said.

"Well, you could say it's like one of those slumber parties that you humans have in your world, but with one big difference." Frida started the explanation.

"Like what? Summoning monsters from another realm to become your servants?" Luz asked curiously and excitedly.

"That would be cool, but no. You get to bring something to life with moon magic!" Frida revealed.

"Oh, now that's a weird slumber party I would definitely go to!" Luz excited.

"Gus and I have never been to one." Willow revealed looking sad.

"Me neither, because I've never really been interested in doing those kinds of things and just into more with the wild beasts and doing my own things." Zoe explained her reason, then look at Amity's group.

"But now I feel like I wanna do some moonlight conjuring and rub it right onto their damn asses!" Zoe angered, clutching her fist and her wings open.

"Me too, just now." Frida glared at the mean girls group.

"So, are we! But we have no idea on how to do this moonlight conjuring!" Luz cheered.

"Well, you need three people to do the moon magic for the conjuring." Willow explained.

"Great! We have more than three people and we are so much better than them!" Luz believed strongly.

And then Amity's group approaches them with the third-eye girl looking at them with a mocking smile.

"Sorry you couldn't get an invite to the conjuring, Willow. Only real witches allowed." The third-eye girl mocked and looked over at Amity.

"Leave her alone. It's not her fault she was born without talent." Amity sighed and the group walked away.

"Well then, I guess that third-eye of yours is nothing but show and too blind to see that Willow could totally kick your ass." Manny smirked, this causes the third-eye girl to stop in her track.

"What was that, human?" The third-eye girl asked feeling a bit angry.

"Oh, you didn't hear how strong and awesome Willow that impressed the principal to have her transfer to a different class." Manny chuckled as he walks to the third-eye girl.

"That's only because that little freak didn't have what it takes in the Abomination Class." The third-eye girl said.

"Because it wasn't what she wanted to do, and this cool tiger knows what cool is with his own eyes not like your eyes Miss. Blind Third Eye." Manny insulted with a smirk.

"First off, my name is Boscha, the toughest and popular girl of Hexside. And second, who do you think you are?" The girl demanded, revealing her name to be Boscha.

Boscha has a slender figure with light pink skin, grayish-blue eyes, and mid-back length violet hair tied back in a bun. Like most witches on the Boiling Isles, she has pointy ears. She also has an extra third eye on her forehead, making Boscha a triclops. She wears a dark gray tunic with a dark gray cowl. She wears dark gray, heeled boots with a light gray top. As part of the potions track, her sleeves and leggings are yellow. Breasts sizes: GG-cup.

"The name's Manny Rivera, the El Tiger who along with Luz beat Amity in that big Witches Duel during that Covention." Manny introduced himself with a smirk.

"Wait, the witches duel at the Covention!" Boscha gasped as the other girls behind them shocked, except for Amity who didn't care if they knew or not.

"Oh my Titan, I remember that! Those two working so well together really did Amity at her best!" One girl named Skara squealed as she looked over at Amity.

Skara is a young witch with a dark brown skin tone, eyes with gray irises, pointy ears, and hair that comes in tones of pinkish-gray and deep mauve held up in a ponytail. She wears her school uniform; the red leggings and sleeves signify her as a member of the bard track, along with dark gray heeled boots. A matching accessory holds back her hair; she also wears gold studded earrings. Breasts size: DD-cup.

"True, but no comment." Amity said.

"Okay, guess we'll back off from now. But better be careful with how you hung around with Willow." Boscha advised as she walks backward.

"I am, you just be careful with that pretty third eye of yours so you don't go too blind." Manny teased as he walked back to his group.

What Manny did notice was that Boscha started blushing a little from that comment as she and her girls walked away.

"Did you really have to give her that kind of compliment? She might take this the wrong way, you know." Luz warned. Not because she was feeling a bit jealous or anything.

"It's fine, that girl was just all talk." Manny shrugged.

"Thanks for standing up for me." Willow thanked with her cheeks blushing too.

"No problem. Now, what do you all say we get this moonlight conjuring started tonight!" Manny chanted loud and excited.

"Are you serious? This was on my bucket list. After owning a real human bucket!" Gus showed his bucket list to everyone.

"That's a really weird thing to want, but I appreciate your enthusiasm. We'll go tell Eda and Maria!" Luz said as she ran off to her mentors.

"And if not, we can sneak you guys in." Frida suggested a backup plan.
