Coven Fairy

The sun was shining, and the air had a cool breeze to it as Kali, Eda, and Luz sat on a bench in the Bonesborough playground with Luz freaking out, and Kali typing away on her portable typewriter, with Sapphire sleeping on her shoulder, her stomach bulging a bit from her own pregnancy.

"What if he gets hurt? What if the other kids are mean to him? My parental instincts are freaking out man." Luz said.

"He'll be fine Luz, stop being overprotective. My parental instincts towards him are stronger then yours because of the Dragon Beast, but I know he'll be fine." Kali said.

"Just look at him Luz." Eda said.

Luz looked back to the playground and saw King trying to climb up the slide.

"He does look like he's having fun." Luz said. "Aw, I wonder what cute widdle game he's playing."

"Stand back, cretins." King said, managing to climb up the slide to the top. "Yes, yes. This is a throne worthy of a Tyrant. Bow to me you snotty underlings, bow."

"Okay." The two children said, before bowing to him, thinking it was nothing more then a game.

But their definition of bowing wasn't what he had in mind. The kid with three eyes and a beak, did a cartwheel into a handstand, and the blonde haired kid turned her back to him, before bending backwards with her tongue sticking out. Still, he seemed to be enjoying it all the same.

"Yes, appease your master." King said, unaware of the snot nosed child behind him.

"This isn't for standing, it's for sliding, you try." The kid said pushing King down the slide.

"Woah, woah. Ah." King cried out as he went rolling down the slide, before getting up to his feet and running to the adult and teens. "Eda, Kali. That monster took my throne." He whined, hugging Kali's leg.

"King, you have to learn to play with others. You might be the King of Demons, but you're still just a kid. Go on, make some friends." Kali said, using a tissue to wipe dirt off King's nose.

"Aw, you really are acting motherly towards him." Luz said. "Be careful Eda, or Kali might take your spot away as King's Mama."

"Whoever said I was his mother to begin with?" Eda asked.

"No, he's a usurper." King said, pointing to the child riding on a springy horse. "I want one of you to go over there, and blow him up, Kaboom."

"Kaboom." The kid called out.

"Yeah I'm not using Owlbert to blowup a five-year old." Eda said.

"An' I'm not using Sapphire for that either." Kali stated, typing away her story.

"Fine, don't help. Revenge will taste all the sweeter, if they fall by my hand alone." King stated with an evil laugh.

"Tag, you're it." The kid said, pushing King down and running off with a laugh.

"Oh man, here we go. King's Squeak of rage." Eda said, Owlbert sitting on her shoulder.

"His what?" Kali asked, before covering her ears as King let off a high pitched scream like he was throwing a tantrum. "Nevermind, I Mmmph…"

Kali was interrupted in what she was saying as Sapphire shoved her head in the Clawthorne's mouth, and forced her way into Kali's storage stomach, making the teen look heavily pregnant once again.

"King stop." Kali said, panting and out of breath as her airway opened up again.

Kali grabbed King and hugged him close, stopping his tantrum.

"Weh, what are you doing?" King asked.

"Stopping you from making that sound. It was hurting my ears, and it hurt Sapphire so much she forced her way into my storage stomach." Kali stated, putting a gentle hand on her bulging belly, with Sapphire making herself comfortable in it. "Hopefully this doesn't give her any ideas."

"Hey, what's that?" Luz asked, noticing something on Owlbert's foot as he scratched at an itch.

"That's his…" Eda was stopped in her explanation as she passed out, falling onto the bench.

"Eda?" Luz questioned.

"Eda." Kali cried, getting up and going to Eda's side. "Eda please wake up." She said, shaking the Owl Lady awake.

"Oh, what happened?" Eda asked, before gasping. "The curse. We have to get home now."

"Right." Kali said, grabbing her stuff as Luz helped Eda up. "I hope no one from Hexside sees me like this." She groaned, cupping her belly from underneath as Sapphire moved about in it. "You'd better come out before my meeting with the Council, Sapphire."

~The Following Day~

"Hey kiddo, you doing okay in here?" Eda asked, knocking on Kali's workshop door after opening it.

"I'm a little annoyed." Kali said.

"What's eating at ya?" Eda inquired.

"I can't figure out what the Magic Council would want from me." Kali stated. "I know they're not gonna apologize for falling for Jose's false accusations, they never wanna take responsibility for their mistakes."

"Try not to over think things kiddo. I know it can be stressful, but you can't let fear take over. Stress and anxiety…"

"As well as any strong negative emotions, cause the curse to activate I know." Kali sighed, putting down a spool of sparkling white silky thread.

"Is that…?"

"The Palistrom Wood? A part of it." Kali said, motioning to the larger spool of thread. "I figured out a way to turn the wood into thread. But I had to carve a new Palisman to do it."

The sound of skittering could be heard as a spider Palisman with two beady eyes, and a slim but big thorax, came out of the shadows and stopped in front of Kali.

"Her name's Araña. After I had finished carving her, I let Luz name her." Kali explained.

"How can she turn wood into silky thread?" Eda asked.

"Simple." Kali smiled, putting a chunk of Palistrom Wood on the table top. "Araña, chow time."

Araña seemed to smile before she bit down on the Palistrom Wood, and it turned into pure energy, and was consumed by the spider Palisman.

"Similarly to how a Dragonslayer can eat their element, Araña can convert the Palistrom Wood into pure energy, and let it out as thread through her spinnerets on her thorax." Kali explained as she put an empty spool on a turning device, before Araña shot a silk web out and over the spool. Once the thread was properly connected, Kali began turning the spool, building up the thread content on it. "After a few cranks, the spool will keep spinning on its own as it pulls more thread from Araña. The more I feed her before extracting thread though, the larger her thorax will become until I spool the thread. It is thread, made from Palistrom Wood."

"But doesn't that hurt the poor thing?" Eda asked.

"No, it's actually quite pleasing for her." Kali stated scratching Araña on the head as she let out a happy sound, before noticing something on Eda. "Okay, you might wanna go and take an elixir Eda."

"What?" Eda questioned looking down at herself. "Oh come on." She said, running out of the workshop.

"Kali you wanted to see me for a minute?" Luz asked, coming in with Sapphire leading.

"Yeah, take a seat right here Luz." Kali smiled, bringing up another stool for Luz to sit on. "I'm just needing to take some measurements."

"Measurements of what?" Luz asked, taking her seat.

"Well, I wanna surprise you so I won't say too much. But I will say, you're gonna love what I give you." Kali said, taking the measurements for Luz's arms, shoulders, head, back at the shoulder blades, and all three upper, middle and underside parts of her chest.

"Oh a surprise, that may or may not kill me. I'm so excited." Luz smiled.

"Trust me, it won't kill you." Kali said, writing down Luz's measurements.

"I'll take your word for it then." Luz said. "So, are you gonna be coming to the Grudgby Game today with Willow, Gus, and I?"

"I can't." Kali said. "The game unfortunately happens at the same time as the Council Meeting. I got a notification about it from Gramps this morning."

"That's a shame. But hey, at least you'll have Sapphire there with you." Luz said, gently petting Sapphire, and rubbing her slightly distended belly.

"Not really." Kali said. "The Council wants me to bring a Palisman I haven't brought to life yet, and I have to leave Sapphire behind so there's no, foul play."

"Ah man. That sucks." Luz said.

"Now you might wanna get going while there's still time to catch the game with Gus and Willow." Kali stated.

"Alright, but before I go… can you give me a little hint on what you're making me?" Luz asked.

"Go." Kali said. "An' you'll get your surprise when I'm finished with it. Bring Sapphire with you, I'm sure she'd like to watch the game."

"Yes Ma'am." Luz said, saluting Kali before running off with Sapphire on her shoulder.

Sighing in annoyance, Kali was not looking forward to this meeting with the Council, but since they gave her the privilege to choose the venue, considering Era was in shambles, Kali had chosen a nice open spot where she'd be surrounded by people who would have her back.

~Fiore~

"Come on, what is taking that girl so damn long?" Councilman Org questioned. "I don't feel comfortable sitting here waiting on her, while we're trying to rebuild the council."

"Patience Org. It can't be an easy feat to travel between worlds. Give her some time." Yajima, former member of Fairy Tail, said drinking from a mug of ale. "Besides, it was your idea to let her choose the venue for this meeting, and she chose the Fairy Tail guildhall where it feels safest for her. Understandable, considering how the townsfolk treat her on a daily basis because of her curse."

"I agree with Yajima." Councilwoman Belno said. "She agreed to this meeting on her own terms, after we sent Warrod to talk. Give her some time, and it will pay off."

"Speak of the devil." Yajima said, as a tear through the fabric of reality opened up near the table.

From out of the tear, Kali stepped up to them holding a dormant Palisman covered by a cloth, while wearing her nicest clothes, consisting of a dress shirt, jeans, and sandals.

"I apologize for the wait." Kali said, sitting at the table across from the three council members. "I had a bit of personal business to take care of."

"That's quite alright child." Belno said. "I take it that's a Palisman?"

"It is. Though I've yet to give it a name." Kali said, putting the Palisman on the table.

"An' giving it a name is important somehow?" Org questioned.

"It's what brings the Palisman to life." Kali stated.

"Right." Org said skeptically.

"So, what is it you wish to discus with me?" Kali inquired.

"We wish to talk negotiations about purchasing a portion of your Palistrom Forest, and despite what's happened to Era, the Council is willing to pay you a large sum of money for it." Belno said.

"So you can create weapons out of the Palismen carved from the trees of my forest, correct?"

"I'm not surprised you know. Warrod told us he had informed you of that detail." Yajima said. "Quite frankly I'm against that plan. I'd rather we not create weapons of doom from creatures brought to life by the magic in the Palistrom Woods."

"We need those weapons to fight our enemies. We are in a time of peace now, but that peace is finite. We could go to war again, at any moment." Org stated firmly.

"Is that why you've been sending in thieves to try and steal my trees?" Kali questioned, with an unamused and questioning gaze.

"You had left us with no choice but to make those attempts." Org said. "That wood could be vital to our nation's survival."

"No." Kali said. "I am a born and bred Sorceress of Fiore, but I am also a witch from the Boiling Isles. The Palismen that come from those trees are more then just tools of magic. They're living breathing creatures with souls, with emotions, hearts and minds that could rival that of any philosophers."

"They're just hunks of magic wood that can move. They are not alive." Org said. "An' it's because they're so expendable that…"

"If they aren't alive, then explain to me this." Kali said, stopping Org pushing a photograph in front of them, a photograph of a sonogram with two little bean shaped blotches.

"What am I looking at?" Org asked.

"You're looking at a sonogram, revealing two developing fetuses inside the womb of my Palisman, Sapphire. A carved out Blue Vermillion made from Palistrom Wood, who happens to be pregnant, and expecting her first litter of babies." Kali stated. "If Palismen aren't alive, then how is this possible? How would Sapphire, be able to bear young of her own, if she were not a living, breathing creature?"

"Oh my word. This is truly remarkable." Belno said, looking closer at the sonogram.

"That's forged. It's a fake." Org stated. "Your Palisman is nothing but a mindless hunk of wood brought to life with magic. Now either you sign over the rights to a portion of the property you own, or there will be consequences."

"Making threats now Org?" Yajima questioned, a menacing aura surrounding him. "Makarov happens to be a dear childhood friend of mine, or did you forget? So by threatening her, you're declaring yourself an enemy to all in Fairy Tail."

"All except my brother and the Thunder Legion." Kali stated. "They're the only ones in the Guild who would threaten to end me on a daily basis."

Org looked to Kali, then looked around the Guildhall, noticing that it had gotten eerily quiet all of a sudden. An' he realized why when he saw all the menacing glares directed right at him, from all patrons of the guild, especially Natsu and Erza's group.

"Fairy Tail won't care if you're a Councilman, Org." Yajima continued. "If you so much as try to do something to any one of their members, they'll take that as a declaration of war, and you'll be their enemy for life."

"Tsk. Fine." Org said getting to his feet. "It doesn't matter, this meeting was just to keep you busy."

"While your thieves infiltrated my forest and attempted to steal from me again?" Kali asked, before snapping her fingers.

As if on cue, a rift in the fabric of reality opened up, and out fell all the goons who'd been tasked with attempting to steal from her forest.

"That personal matter I had to attend to while you waited, was gathering all your little thieves Bessie had rounded up. I roughed them up a bit, nothing too serious, but I will only warn you one more time." Kali stated, getting to her feet. "Try to steal my Palistrom Wood again, and you will have declared war on me."

"An' in turn, Fairy Tail." Yajima said. "I might not be a full member anymore, but I will stand by my guild's side in the fight."

"Org, sit back down." Belno stated. "Let us talk this out, peacefully."

Org grumbled, before sitting back down with a sigh of annoyance.

"Now. I am willing to give each Council member a Palisman, so long as it's for them, and only them." Kali said. "However, it will not be free, and it will not be cheap."

"What's to stop the Council from trying to steal the wood again?" Org asked.

"After this last attempt, I set up a magic barrier around my property. One so strong, not even a blast from Etherion could penetrate it." Kali said. "I used my source of liquid magic as a base for it. An' the liquid magic is some powerful stuff… it's crystallized form is what comprises my Portal Blade. It's also known as Titan's Blood, a substance filled with so much magic, it can create sentient life on the Titan's rotting corpse, known as the Boiling Isles."

"Meaning what?"

"As I said, not even the Etherion Satellite can break through the barrier. The only way in and out of my forest, is with my Portal Blade." Kali said, putting the blade on the table. "Go ahead, try to use it."

Org just looked at the Portal Blade, before grabbing it. The instant he held the Portal Blade however, it vanished from his grasp, and was instantly back in Kali's.

"What the?"

"Belno, would you like to try opening it?" Kali asked, holding it to her.

Belno didn't argue with Kali's request, and took the blade. However, opening the item proved to be far more difficult and challenging at the same time, as she couldn't even unlatch the lock.

"Are you even trying?" Org questioned, taking the blade, but it was instantly gone from him and back in Kali's hand once more. "Why the hell does it keep doing that?"

"It's simple. When using magic from the Boiling Isles, you need to express your intent upon the purpose of something you create. What you just witnessed, were the safety measures I had put in place upon creating my Portal Blade. I intended for it to return to my hands instantly on its own, if anyone with malicious intent for using it got their hands on it." Kali said, looking right at Org with a glare. "An' then there's how Belno was unable to open it. Unless I give my express permission to whoever intends to use it, no one but I can freely open my Portal Blade."

"I see, you really have taken precautions against whoever might try to use Boiling Isle magic for evil." Yajima said.

"Would you like to try? I freely give you permission to use my Portal Blade, to go anywhere within the building." Kali said, holding the blade to him.

Yajima looked at the blade, before he managed to open it, and with a smile opened a small rift, with another opening up at the bar counter. A moment later Yajima reached in and pulled a bowl of ramen with pork slices through.

"Hohoho, it really works." Yajima smiled, putting money through the portal to pay for the ramen.

"So you've proven to us your forest is impenetrable. But what's to stop us from burrowing through the ground under the dome of your barrier?"

"The barrier I set up isn't a dome. It's a sphere." Kali stated. "While it may not harm the earth that it guards, it is still impervious to infiltration, from any angle."

"So the only way to get to it."

"Would be to force me to open a rift into my forest." Kali said. "An' you know what would happen if anyone from the council attempted that."

"I can't believe it." Org said. "In all the history of the Council, no one has ever been able to out smart us like this, since…"

"First Master Mavis?" Kali asked. "I'm aware. In fact, I spent most of my childhood, studying to be like her. She's my idol, and while I can't vouch for what she would say about me outsmarting the council like this, but I think she'd at least congratulate me for leaving the council utterly defeated."

"That doesn't make any sense. Why would a child be interested in tactician methods?" Org questioned.

"It's simple really." Yajima said. "Kali grew up listening to stories about Mavis, and pursued a self imposed goal to become the next Fairy Tactician."

"Like I said, I am nowhere near reaching her level as a tactician, but I do consider myself well versed in the field of tactical planning." Kali stated, pulling a rolled up piece of paper from her pocket.

"What's that?" Belno asked.

"I took the liberty of writing up a contract. I don't expect any signatures to be signed until I demonstrate, how a Palisman comes to life." Kali stated, unveiling the dormant Palisman to reveal it was a carving of an octopus with armored platting on its body and tentacles. "Mr. Yajima, would you like to name your Palisman?"

"Oh but I won't be on the council after this. After Era's destruction, I feel I should take my leave and pursue my passion. So I won't be needing a Palisman." Yajima said, finishing up his ramen.

"That does not matter, please I made this one for you, as a thank you for helping to clear my name of all false allegations Phantom Lord had made against me." Kali said, pushing it towards him.

"Very well, if you insist." Yajima said. "I name thee, Dumpling."

The eyes of the Palisman began to glow, before it was covered in a shimmer of magic, and gained its color as it came to life, before crawling to Yajima and turning into a staff in his hands.

"Oh my, this is such a beautiful creature." Yajima said.

"In a couple weeks, you will be able to understand what your Palisman is saying. But you can speed up that process by using your magic with the Palisman in its staff form." Kali explained. "Just know, that if you try using it in a show of power against those who don't deserve it, the Palisman will return to my Palistrom Wood forest."

"I thought only your blade could get through?" Org asked.

"My portal blade is the only way for people, humans, to get through my barrier. But Palismen, and only Palismen, can freely pass in and out of my barrier without hindrance." Kali stated. "Meaning if you try to use a Palisman to pass through, you can say goodbye to the hand holding your Palisman Staff."

"Now, what contract do you have prepared?" Belno questioned.

"While I'd prefer my previous proposition, I am willing to make Palismen for your top military commanders, so long as they follow the terms of their individual contracts involving their obtainment of a Palisman." Kali stated, pushing the contract to the three councilmen for them to read. "But it won't come cheap. However, I suspect the price will be cheaper then what you were planning on offering me for a portion of my property."

Looking over the contract, Org didn't seem too happy, but Yajima and Belno seemed to be okay with the terms and conditions of the contract.

"The price does seem fair due to the consumption of both resources and your time Ms. Dryer." Belno said.

"I prefer Clawthorne." Kali said.

"The price is too high in my opinion." Org stated. "This much just for a single Palisman? A hunk of mindless wood that can move and possesses magic."

"Alright, you know what. I believe we're done here." Kali stated, grabbing the contract, and rolling it up. "I'm happy to conduct business with the two of you, but I will not provide Councilman Org with my services so long as he maintains this closed mindedness. So if there's nothing else for us to discuss, I shall be returning to the Boiling Isles."

Without another word, Kali opened a tear to the Boiling Isles, leaving the three Councilmen to think over what just happened, while one of them was fuming mad that things didn't go the way he wanted them to go.

"You are a disgrace to the Council Org." Belno said, with Yajima's Palisman spitting ink in his face.

~Boiling Isles~

"I'm home." Kali said, entering the Owl House through the tear. Though Kali's response to her call, was nothing but silence. "Where is everyone?" She questioned, before turning to the door to talk with Hooty.

"Ow." Hooty screeched.

"Oops, sorry Hooty. I'm a little on edge right now, I didn't mean to slam the door open, or your face into the wall." Kali said.

"It's okay Kali. I know you didn't mean it." Hooty said, wrapping around her in a hug, with Kali petting his head. "So what do you need my owlet?"

"I'm not a baby Hooty." Kali chuckled, feeling better already. "Have you seen where King or Eda went? I can't sense them anywhere in the house, and they didn't respond when I called out that I was home."

"Oh yeah, King tried to be sneaky, but I saw him leaving with Eda in her cursed beast form, with one eye being normal, and the other being that of the owl beasts." Hooty said.

"WHAT?" Kali questioned. "Why didn't Owlbert try to stop them?"

"Luz took Owlbert to catch the Grudgby Ball game, since they missed the flying ship from the school to the game area." Hooty stated. "Apparently Eda said it was okay for them to use Owlbert before they left."

"Ugh, just great." Kali groaned. "I think I know where they went. Gonna be a pain to get there without Sapphire though… Oh wait." She said, pulling out her portal blade.

~Park~

"Listen carefully." King declared, wearing a cardboard box with a chest plate drawn on it. "You all have two choices. Grovel or…"

King was interrupted as the Owl Beast Eda screeched out, scaring all the children away, before leaping down to the playground.

"Run. Despair." King called out, as Eda approached the slide, where the snotty kid was hyperventilating at the sight of her. "Your time has ended. Mine begins."

"KING." Kali's voice echoed through the park, sounding rather annoyed.

"Weh." King froze, feeling like he just did something he shouldn't have.

Turning around, King saw Kali standing behind Eda, her foot tapping and her arms crossed, dressed in her normal attire, as she looked at him with a disapproving glower in her her eyes, causing him to shiver as if she was looking right into his soul.

"Oh, Kali hi. How was the meeting?" King asked.

"Don't you dare try to change the subject with me Mister." Kali growled. "Get down from Eda's back right now." She demanded, tapping her foot as she pointed at the ground.

"Yes Ma'am." King said, taking off the cardboard box, and sliding down Eda's back, stepping up to Kali as Eda turned around to look at them.

"Do you have any idea, how much trouble you've just caused? No doubt one of the concerned parents, who's child you traumatized, has already called for animal control to come and capture Eda." Kali scolded as Eda sat down in front of them. "An' why in Titan's name, would you use her as a weapon against children, instead of getting Luz to help you with this? Do you know what this means? The Elixir's barely working on her anymore. It's not as strong."

"I'm sorry." King said, looking down.

"Sorry? You're sorry? You're gonna be sorry. From now, until the end of the month, you are grounded from watching anything on my PCL, or Luz's phone. Am I understood young demon?" Kali questioned.

"No, please anything but that. I can't go without watching One Piece for longer then a day." King pleaded.

"Too bad. To make sure your time is spent wisely during your grounding, you will be cleaning the Owl House, top to bottom, every weekend." Kali stated. "Am I clear?"

"Yes Ma'am." King sighed.

"Good." Kali sighed. "Now we need to figure out, how to deal with…"

Kali's analysis of Eda was stopped, when out of nowhere the sound of a loud squawking siren could be heard traveling through the air, as a cart with the words, Animal Control, written on a banister on the side came into view of the park entrance.

"Oh no. King please tell me you've got an elixir for Eda." Kali said.

"I did bring one. It's in the bag on the slide." King said.

Running past King and Eda, Kali jumped up on the slide, pushing against the slippery plastic with little effort, and landed on the platform, grabbing the purple book bag.

"King, I got the bag." Kali said, pulling the Elixir from it, and popping the cork. "Eda, open wide."

Owl Beast Eda looked at Kali before opening her mouth, and Kali threw the Elixir into her mouth.

"Come on, come on, come on." Kali pleaded. "Wait, why isn't she changing back?"

"I don't know, try another potion." King said.

Kali looked into the bag, and her eyes widened in fear.

"King. Did you already feed her an Elixir?" Kali asked. "Because this bag was packed with full bottles this morning, and now they're all empty."

"No, I didn't feed her any." King said, as Eda growled at the oncoming animal control.

"That's not good. The Elixirs are loosing their strength. The Owl Beast is becoming resistant to the medicine." Kali said before noticing who was leading the Animal Control. "Great, and of course it's Thoraz who's leading the charge."

"Who?" King asked.

"The Monster Hunter with an eye patch." Kali said, slipping down the slide on her feet. "We have to get Eda out of here now."

"But how?"

"I don't know." Kali said. "Eda, back to the Owl House."

Eda looked at Kali, and King. There was a moment of silence, before Eda prepared to flap her wings and take off, but was stopped when she was captured by a net made of magical energy.

"That's enough talk. You two, get away from the beast now." Thoraz said.

"I don't think so." Kali growled, using her portal blade to cut the magic net, before opening a tear. "Eda, go through this portal, now."

Eda looked to Kali, then to the portal, skeptical about what it was. Sighing in annoyance, Kali ran behind Eda, and winding her foot back, kicked her in the tail feathers and sent her flying through the portal.

"Kali, you just kicked her." King said.

"Yeah, and I'll kick you through next, if you don't get your butt in high gear." Kali stated.

"I'm going, I'm going." King stated, running through the portal with the bag of empty jars before the portal closed.

"I wanna clear the air a bit right now Thoraz." Kali said.

"So you know my name?"

"I know your rep too. I also know, what you recently got your ass handed to you, by three young witches, during this years Moonlight Conjuring." Kali stated cracking her knuckles.

"What's it to you?" Thoraz questioned, with a daring glare in his gaze.

"Those three students happen to be my friends." Kali glared. "An' the fact that you're not in jail for attempting to murder them right now, really doesn't sit well with me. So I'm gonna give you to the count of three, to start running and at least try to avoid my wrath."

"You just cost us a big payout kid, we're not going anywhere until you compensate for it, with your blood." Thoraz said, pulling out a weapon from his robes.

"Just try it. I dare you." Kali stated, Requipping Slayer, the blade Erza gave the teen, into her hand.

Removing the sheath from her blade, Kali held it on her other hand and ran at Thoraz, zipping past him and his fellow workers.

"What the? You missed ya bimbo." Thoraz stated.

"No I didn't." Kali said, her back to them still as she began to sheath her blade at a snails pace. "You know in the human realm, there's a manga and anime, called One Piece. An' one of the characters I like from it is a talking, singing skeleton named Brook."

"Okay… get her you two." Thoraz stated, before his two workers began charging at Kali.

"An' Brook, happened to be a master Swordsman capable of many things. An' one of his techniques, seemed more plausible then fiction, so I began training the moment I figured out how it could be done." She said, the two animal control workers eyes rolling into the backs of their heads as they fell over, shocking Thoraz.

"What the… how did you do this?" Thoraz questioned in shock.

"Three Verse Humming…" Kali said, stopped the sheathing of her blade, just for enough metal to be visible as she looked into its reflection. "Arrow Notch Slash!"

Slamming the hilt against the sheath, Thoraz felt a surge of pain rush through him, before his eye rolled into the back of his head, and fell to his knees.

"But… how…" He gasped out.

"It's not perfect, doesn't take as fast as Brook's attack, but I still think it's pretty cool. I've had a rather bad day. So forgive me, if I'm taking the opportunity to blow off some steam, and get a little payback in return." Kali growled, before Thoraz fell to the ground unconscious on the ground. "I think it's about time I got out of here."

"Hey, what the hell did you do to Animal Control?" Someone called out, running towards them.

"They're fine, just unconscious." Kali said, before she opened her portal blade, while humming Bink's Brew. "I think I'd have made an excellent Straw Hat crewmate."

~Owl House~

"I'm back." Kali said, walking into the door while Hooty opened it. "Thank you Hooty. You're a peach."

"Yay, I'm a fuzzy fruit." Hooty said.

"Welcome back Kali." Luz said, putting a bandage on Owlbert, while Sapphire slept in her lap.

"Oh Owlbert, what happened?" Kali asked as the owl flew to her shoulder.

"Hoot-hoot."

"Ice cream? You went for ice cream after the game and a strong gust of wind knocked you into a tree causing that crack?" Kali asked, to which Owlbert nodded. "Okay, so if I go to Bat Queen and ask her what really happened, is she gonna tell me she didn't get a visit from you, or is she gonna tell me something else?"

Luz and Owlbert looked at Kali, then at one another before Luz sighed in defeat.

"Alright fine. I didn't know how to fly Owlbert, and I ended up mistreating him when I didn't mean to." Luz explained. "We crash landed, and he hobbled off to find sanctuary with the Bat Queen."

"I'm grateful that you're honest. But who told you, you could use Owlbert without Eda's permission?" Kali asked.

"King told me Eda said it was fine if we got a ride from Owlbert since we missed the bus to the game." Luz said.

"So King huh?" Kali asked, her eye twitching.

"We're home." Eda said, coming in with King, before spotting Owlbert. "What happened to you?"

Owlbert just remained silent as Kali turned to them, and looked down at King.

"You're grounding has just been doubled mister." Kali said.

"For what?" King asked.

"Do you want me to say it in front of Eda?"

King looked at Kali, then to the Palisman on her shoulder before sighing in defeat.

"Fine. I'll get started on cleaning tomorrow." King said, walking off to the stairs. "An' I'm sleeping in Luz's room tonight. I'm not in the mood to share a bed with you."

"What is King grounded for?" Eda asked.

"Exploiting your partially transformed Owl Beast form, causing a scene with you in that state at the playground, and lying to Luz about you giving her permission to use Owlbert to fly her and the others to the Grudgby Game. But it ended up with getting Owlbert back from the Bat Queen." Kali explained.

"Is that how he got hurt?" Eda asked.

"Hoot-hoot…"

"Is the ice cream thing really true?" Kali asked, looking to Luz.

"Yeah, we went for ice cream afterwards to make it up to Owlbert even more. An' I got him his favorite in the biggest size they had." Luz said.

"It ate up the rest of your allowance, didn't it?" Eda asked.

"…yes?"

"We'll consider that your punishment, since you were also a victim in this." Kali said.

"Well, I'm exhausted. I need to get to bed, and sleep off this bad taste in my mouth." Eda yawned. "Kali, you're good for making dinner right?"

"I'm all over it." She said. "But first, there's something we gotta talk about."

Kali followed Eda to her room, making sure Luz wouldn't be able to hear any of them, before closing the door and keeping it locked.

"What's this about kid? You gave me my potion and it worked like a charm, while reprimanding King for his actions." Eda said.

"About that." Kali sighed, showing her the empty bag of potions. "It wasn't just the one potion that brought you back. You went through your entire month's supply in one day."

"You're kidding." Eda gasped.

"I wish I were." Kali sighed. "I can make a stronger, more concentrated dose, but the one remaining in your closet are gonna have to last until then. Your curse is getting stronger, just like mine had been with me. I've even started making mine with stronger doses in case of something like this happening. But this also means I gotta double my inventory for supplies on the potion's ingredients whenever I go shopping in Fiore. I'll try to talk to Master Warred about getting his help since all the ingredients are plant based, but making the potions to be stronger, more potent doses, will take some time to measure, just exactly how much will be needed. If I make the amount too small, it will backfire with fury. But if I make the dose too big, it could kill you."

"Can't you just use the same recipe you used for your potions when making mine?" Eda asked.

"I can't. You Elixir and mine are meant for two different species of Beasts. I have to be able to make the proper dosage or it could be a catastrophe for both of us." Kali stated.

"Fine. I'll try to make the ones I have last, and I'll see if I can't get more from Morton until you figure out the right dosage." Eda said.

"Just try to stay relaxed, and be careful until then." Kali said. "You and I both know, stress and anxiety can cause the curse to flare up."

Just then, Kali's pocket went off, as she got a message from someone in Earthland.

"It's gramps. Says someone important is wanting to talk with me." Kali said. "I'll be back later, don't tell Luz about this."

"You got it kiddo." Eda saluted.

~Fairy Tail~

"Where is she?" The guest of the Fairy Tail Guildhall said.

"Please try to have patience, sometimes the signal with the PCL's is weak when crossing dimensions." Makarov said.

"I suppose you're right."

Before Makarov or the guest could say anything else, or continue their conversation, a rift between worlds opened up and Kali stepped through it, putting her portal blade away.

"Ah, Kali welcome back." Makarov smiled. "I trust you had an eventful afternoon?"

"You could say that." Kali said. "So who's wanting to speak with me?"

"Kali Dryer Clawthorne?"

Kali looked around gramps, and to a tan skinned man wearing white armor, with afro like hair, and a semi-long nose that squared off at the end.

"I come on behalf of his Majesty, and Princess Hisui." The knighted man said. "The King wishes to have an audience with you. He requests you come to Crocus, for a matter of the upmost importance, and bring your Palisman, Sapphire as well."

"I'm sorry, but who are you?" Kali questioned.

"I am Captain of the Cherry Blossom Holy Knight Squadron. My name, is Arcadios."
