Coven Fairy

~A/N~

Sorry, I was a bit drunk, so don't hate me for how this chapter turned out, hate the booze.

"Partake of my free snack samples. Take them, I demand it as your ruler, the King of Demons." King said, calling out to the customers passing by. "Hey, it's the eyeball guy from the Conformatorium." He stated, before throwing the plank if inedible product on the ground. "Why isn't anyone paying attention to me? I'm their rightful overlord, intellectually and such."

"Yeah." Eda said, removing her sunglasses, and thinking the situation over.

"Hey Eda, King." Kali said, with Luz by her side.

"Hey kiddo, setting up shop?" Eda asked. "Probably not gonna get a lot of bites. Seems to reek more of nerd then money today."

"Actually, it's the local book fair. An event where books come to life." Luz stated. "Kali's gonna be setting up her stall in the fair, to sell her books."

"A fair without rides?" King asked, sounding confused.

"Who needs rides, when this can take you anywhere?" Someone with a bag full of books questioned, putting a book in Kings face.

"Hiss." Kali glared at the man, pulling King away and holding him in her arms. "Sapphire, din-din."

The book carrier cried out as Sapphire grew in size, after leaping off Kali's shoulders, and ran after him.

"Creep." Kali hissed.

"Don't you think you were a little harsh on that guy?" Luz asked.

"He reeked of lube, and tears." Kali said, still hugging King. "Only one kind of person smells of that, and you should never leave your children around them."

"A, ew. B, I'm bored. C, I feel like pick-pocketing some dork while they browse." Eda stated, walking passed Luz and Kali.

"No wait." Luz pleaded, before looking to King. "Will you give it a chance, I'll let you ride in my hoodie."

"Tempting, but I like where I am right here." King said, his claws pressing into Kali's chest, before she held her arms out, holding him by the underarm, and dropped him onto the ground. "Hey."

"My chest might be big, but it's not a bed for you to knead like dough." Kali stated. "Either hop into Luz's hoodie, or hop on Sapphire's back." She said, as Sapphire came back, with her belly squirming with her prey, as she belched, spitting up a few pages from a book. "I'm going to set up shop."

"Wait for us." Luz said, as they followed with King on Sapphire's back. "This book fair's got everything. A zine making workshop, a meet and greets, and… what's that?"

"Oh, it's a writing competition." Kali said. "I'd enter, but I'm already selling a book."

"A writing competition?" Luz gasped, before looking to the booth to see a green scaled lizard man, and a green haired man, signing books and entering people into the competition. "I've always wanted to be a writer."

"Then I could help you with that Luz." Kali said, setting up her stand.

"Really, what could you help her with?" King asked.

"I just set up shop, and I've already sold several copies of my book."

"Maybe later, when you're not so busy." Luz smiled.

"Writer, what? I thought you wanted to be a witch?" King asked.

"Of course I wanna be a witch, but where I'm from, that's kinda, impossible." Luz said. "So my runner up dream, was to be a writer." She stated, before reaching into her pocket and pulling a photo out. "I've had this, about the author, picture since I was about seven years old."

"Not bad Luz. That's pretty good." Kali said.

"I know my good angle." Luz smiled. "I'm gonna enter the competition. An' if it doesn't work out, I'll come to you for lessons Kali."

"Sure thing. I can show you how I do my work, while I'm planning out the rough draft for my second book." Kali said. "Good luck in the competition."

"Quick question though." King said, as someone ran passed them. "Why are all these basement dwellers out in natural sunlight?"

"Apparently, John De Plume is supposed to be making an appearance today." Kali said. "An' that's him." She stated, pointing to the green haired guy next to the lizard demon. "He's supposedly the most famous author on the Boiling Isles. He's the one who wrote the, Realm Warriors Series. But he's starting to get some competition, with how well my book's selling." She explained, pulling a pile of her books out of a drawer on the wall behind her, before they were gone and bags of cash replaced them. "See what I mean?"

"Wow, you're making a fortune selling those books." Luz said.

"Such power, such command he holds over his minions, I must have the same." King stated. "Luz the human, I shall enter the writing competition alongside you."

"Really?" Luz asked, before she gasped. "We can work together. We're already best friends, so we'll make the best team."

"Yes, team. My name goes first on the title." King said, as Luz turned to head back for the Owl House, while she put him in her hoodie.

"Oh no, I know that tone, and that look." Kali stated. "King, do not do anything, to make Luz upset, or you are grounding will increase." She called to him. "I'm serious young demon."

Kali sighed as Sapphire curled up in a ball, sleeping under Kali as she sat down, acting like a seat for the Witchling. This was normal for Sapphire to do, Kali had tried getting her to stop several times, especially now that she's pregnant, but Sapphire didn't seem to mind being Kali's place of rest, while she rested herself.

"King's gonna ruin things for Luz, I just know it." Kali sighed.

"Pardon us Miss."

Kali looked up, and her eyes widened when she saw that two Coven heads, had stepped up to her booth.

"Coven heads Darius and Eberwolf, what can I do for you today?" Kali asked, preparing for a battle.

She looked passed them, to see the crowds were concerned as to why Darius and Eberwolf were at the fair. That is, until something Darius said shocked Kali's attention back to him.

"We'd like to purchase a copy of your book, if that's alright." Darius said with a smile, Eberwolf nodding in agreement.

"Oh, well here, give me a second." Kali said, taking two of the books, and writing something down on the inside of the front cover. "Here you go. That'll be thirty snails for both."

"My, a bargain and a personal autograph from the author herself." Darius smiled, as he put down forty snails. "Keep the change. I strongly feel as though autographed manuscripts should be worth more."

"It's nothing." Kali said, blushing a bit. She didn't expect such praise to come from a Coven Head like Darius.

"By chance, would you happen to be free after the book fair ends? We'd love to talk to you about your writing process." Darius said.

"Well… sure if that's all you wanna talk about." Kali agreed, getting to her feet.

Sapphire got up from her sleeping place, and looked at Darius and Eberwolf, shocking them both.

"Oh my, your pet seems quite curious about us." Darius stated, as Eberwolf hopped down to examine Sapphire.

"She's not my pet." Kali said. "She's my Palisman. She's just able to change her size with magic."

"I see." Darius said, only for Eberwolf to grunt and whistle. "She's with pup?"

"Vermilion Dragons, aren't like most others." Kali said. "They don't lay eggs, like most dragons. They give actual birth to pups. An' she's currently carrying twins."

"My, that's quite impressive." Darius said. "Let's meet at the Titan's Cafe after the fair ends. I'm sure I can coax them into keeping it open a bit later after closing time."

"Sure thing." Kali said.

The instant Eberwolf and Darius were gone, Kali's booth was rushed with people requesting a copy of her book, all of them willing to pay top snail for it. She hadn't exactly thought business would boom this much from two Coven Heads, purchasing her book.

"I am gonna be very busy until the fair ends." Kali said.

~Eda~

"Boring, boring." Eda said, knocking books down, one of them landing on a childs head, before she grabbed a book with a mirror on the cover. "Boring." She sighed, before she gasped. "Another wrinkle. The curse is quickening, and it's not being shy about what it's doing to me." She stated.

"You, Blacky."

Eda gasped as she dropped the book, before hiding behind a banner. Looking past the banner, Eda spotted someone she was not in the mood for running into.

"Lilith." Eda hissed.

"Do you have the item we discussed?" Lilith questioned, her scout companion standing next to her.

"Oh yes. Right here." A weasel looking demon man said, reaching into a drawer of his desk, and pulling out a rolled up piece of paper, before handing it to Lilith.

Lilith opened the scrolled up paper, resulting in the parchment glowing blue.

"This is excellent." Lilith smirked. "A map to the Bloom of Eternal Youth. I think the Emperor will be very pleased."

"Ma'am, shouldn't we be searching for the Owl Lady and her granddaughter to join the Coven? Remember that whole plan?" The scout asked.

"My sisters curse has left her frail." Lilith scoffed. "As for my niece, she'll come to her senses when she realizes living the same life style as her grandmother, isn't as fun as she thinks. They'll both still be here, when we return. This comes first, it's for the Emperor after all."

"Yeah, all hail the Emperor." The scout cheered, knocking down a stack of books.

"Very good Steve." Lilith said, patting his head.

"Shoulder pats for Steve." Steve stated, following Lilith as they left.

Eda watched as the two Coven Witches left, before hopping the counter as the weasel demon was picking up his books, and confronted him.

"Hey bub, what'd you sell my prissy sister?" Eda questioned.

"Oh, it's a map to the Bloom of Eternal Youth." The demon said. "A rare flower that only grows, once a millennia. Like the name says, it gives eternal youth to whomever holds it. Freezing their bodies at the current age, or in an elderly persons case, reversing time to a desired younger self, before freezing time for them in that body."

"Interesting." Eda said. "So Lilith wants to nab this power for the Emperor huh? Well, won't she be surprised when I get there first, and get it for myself. Ha! That'll show her, who's frail."

"Yes. Well uh, we'll see won't we." Blacky said, before reaching into his desk and pulling out a second map. "Can't go without a map of course."

"You have multiple maps?" Eda asked. "Seems kind of, unusual for a flower that blooms once every millennia."

"You'd be surprised how many people are actually searching for the flower, so I keep plenty in stock. But sadly, none of them have returned as the journey for the flower, is fraught with danger."

"My kind of adventure." Eda smirked.

~Kali~

"Sorry folks, I'm all out of books. My entire inventory has been cleared out." Kali called. "I should have more in stock next week. Come see me then if you're still interested in my book. Or if you want, you can pre-order a copy, by writing down your name and address, while also paying for the book, and a minor delivery fee upon receiving the book."

The crowd of people seemed disappointed as Kali put up her, sold out sign. Once the crowd of people were gone, Kali began putting away her booth. After putting her booth away, Kali took the booklet that she'd set out for pre-orders, and her eyes nearly bugged out, when she saw that nearly ten pages, had been filled out.

"Man, I'm so glad that sales actually went better then expected." Kali said, petting Sapphire on the head, while putting the notepad away. "I just wish I didn't have to limit the books I sell. It'd be so much easier if I could just… hold the phone. Who says I'm limited to selling them on the Boiling Isles alone?"

Looking around, Kali smirked before hiding away in an alley, and with Sapphire following, opened a breach between realms. She didn't even try to see where she was going, when she stepped through the breach, and found herself in Crocus.

"Aw yeah, I am back in business baby." Kali smirked.

"Ms. Clawthorne."

Kali turned around to see Arcadios standing there, looking surprised with a young girl a couple years younger then her, at his side.

"What brings you to the palace gardens?" Arcadios asked.

"Oops, sorry my bad." Kali said bashfully. "I meant to open the breach at the palace gates."

"It's quite alright. An honest mistake, really." The young girl said.

"I appreciate your understanding." Kali said with a bow.

"Ah, that's right. You haven't met yet." Arcadios smiled. "Kali, allow me to introduce you to Princess Hisui E. Fiore. Crown Princess, and heir to the throne."

"It's an honor to meet you, your majesty." Kali said with a bow.

"No, no. The pleasure is all mine." Hisui smiled.

"Now that introductions are out of the way, what does bring you to the castle?" Arcadios asked.

"I wanted to personally deliver a copy of the book I wrote to the King." Kali stated, pulling a copy of the book from her bag. "Also, I was hoping to get permission to set up shop and sell them personally. I know it's not really the Kings decision, but I thought it'd go faster if I just asked him, while delivering the book."

"Ah, I see." Arcadios said, with an amused smile. "I've heard of Edalyn's business ethics. An' it would appear you've inherited her spirit and sense of adventure and risk."

"Oh please, come and let's go ask father together." Hisui smiled. "I'd love to read your book."

"Thanks." Kali smiled.

"Alright then, follow me." Arcadios said.

As they followed Arcadios, Kali and Hisui talked to one another, like they were friends. Sapphire even curled up in the Princess's arms, while letting the green haired royal, rub her belly.

"Oh wow, I think I just felt a kick." Hisui smiled. "When will the pups be born?"

"A few weeks." Kali said. "That is, if nothing serious happens."

"But… I don't see any teats on Sapphire, how will they feed?" Hisui asked.

"Mushed berries and meats." Kali smiled. "Vermilion pups, don't require mothers milk when they're born, like most mammals do. They're just as ready to eat somewhat solid foods, as hatchlings. The only difference is, they don't have any egg shells to eat when they're born."

"Egg shells?" Hisui asked.

"When dragons hatch, the first thing they must eat, are the shells of the eggs they hatched from, in order to build up a strong and healthy immune system. Especially for those that hatch so close to winter times, otherwise they won't survive the cold when their mothers go out hunting for food." Kali explained.

"Ooh, that's very interesting." Hisui smiled.

"I apologize for disturbing your conversation, but we're at the throne room." Arcadios said.

"Alright." Kali said, before dusting herself off, and tidying herself up a bit. "I'm ready to see the King." She stated, tying her hair into a ponytail, revealing the circlet that was hidden behind her bangs.

"That circlet." Hisui gasped, before Sapphire left her arms, and perched herself on Kali's shoulder.

"Now presenting, Ms. Kali Dreyar Clawthorne from Fairy Tail, accompanied by Princess Hisui E. Fiore, to his royal Majesty King Toma E. Fiore." Arcadios announced, before the doors opened, revealing the throne room, with King Toma on his throne.

"Kali, it is good to see you again my dear." Toma smiled as Kali stepped to a few feet away from the base of the stairs, leading to the throne. "I see you've made yourself acquainted with my daughter."

"We met when I arrived your highness." Kali said taking a knee.

"What brings you to the Capital on this wondrous day?" Toma asked.

~Owl House~

"Now, let's write down some ideas that we wanna see in the story." Luz said, putting down a cork board.

"I can write anything?" King asked.

"Yeah, we're brainstorming." Luz said, putting a crayon and a stack of note cards in his paws. "Every idea, is a good idea."

A moment later, King and Luz were writing out ideas, with the little demon being the first to finish.

"Done." King said, before pinning it to the board, revealing it was simply the word, violence.

"Aw, is that all you wanna see?" Luz asked.

King thought for a moment, before he picked up another card, and wrote blood on it, with a smiley face under the word.

"Hmm…"

Luz and King kept thinking up ideas, and before long, the entire board was nearly filled.

"Roman, magic, heartbreak with shimmer tears." Luz said, putting her notes on the board. "An' the main character is, of course, Luzura." She stated, holding up a card with an image of her in a witches hat on it. "I know it's kinda cliché, but what's wrong with cliché?" The human asked, pinning it to the board.

"An' my main character is the King, er the Ruler of Demons." King said, pinning his own image on the board, part of it covering Luz's. "With this totally original all star cast, victory will be ours."

"Now for the easy part." Luz said, putting a demon typewriter down on the table. "I've seen Kali write like it's nothing, so this is gonna be a piece of cake."

"There's cake?" King asked, sounding excited.

~Kali~

"Marvelous, simply marvelous." Toma smiled, removing his Gale-Force Reading Glasses. "This book of yours is wonderful, too amazing for words."

"I appreciate your praise your majesty." Kali smiled, sitting across from him in his personal office where he conducted matters of state in private.

"Tell me, what was the inspiration for this?" Toma asked.

"Oh, well you see…" Kali began.

Tomas smile diminished when he saw, the pain in her eyes.

"Kali, please do tell me what the matter is." Toma said. "I won't force you, but I will remind you that it is a Kings duty, to help his subjects, no matter the situation."

"You see sir…" Kali sighed. "It's my brother. He and my father have, blamed me for the death of my mother, ever since I was born. An' after the War with Phantom Lord, Laxus took his frustrations, and anger about Phantom making fools of Fairy Tail out on me, and Blacksteel Gajeel. An' the ironic thing is, that the beating I got that day, is what inspired the start of that book. The antagonist in the first chapter, is based off my brother."

"My dear Kali." Toma sighed. "I appreciate your honesty with me. I assure you, that after what you revealed to the court when you stood trial, I made it impossible for Ivan Dreyar, to even come near you. I also made it impossible for him to legalize his guild, until he's paid reparations for the trouble he's caused you."

"That won't stop him from sending his goons after me though." Kali stated.

"I can assure you, your father won't have any sort of contact with you, whatsoever." Toma said. "Now, I'm sure there's something else regarding your book you'd like to discuss."

"There is." Kali smiled. "I'd like to set up shop here in the Capital. No one here, knows about my curse, nor my Boiling Isles magic, so I thought the capital was the best place to do my sales."

"I see." Toma smiled. "Well, I'm sure I could find some little hole in the wall building for you to sell your products in."

"I was just thinking of, setting up a booth." Kali said.

"Nonsense. A book this good deserves to be sold in its own store. Though you will have to sell other products to keep sales up." Toma said.

"I think I know what to sell." Kali smiled. "The store may end up being a bit odd, but I'm sure it'll be a success."

"In that case, I have just the location for you." Toma smiled, pulling out a map.

~Potential Store Location~

"It's a bit rundown, but the King hopes you'll like it." Arcadios said, standing in front of Kali's potential shop.

"It's…" Kali paused as a window shudder fell to the ground from the decaying building. "Homey at least."

"King Toma apologizes, but he wished for your shop to be somewhere, that could catch the eyes of people coming into and leaving the Capital." Arcadios stated, shaking his head a bit.

"It's no trouble." Kali smiled. "It's a bit of a fixer upper, but it'll do in a pinch. Can I rebuild the shop from the ground up?"

"You're free to do anything you feel would be needed to make the shop, feel more like home for you. The property's yours." Arcadios said. "The King also said he'll cover any expenses required for any remodeling or repairs."

"Great. I'll be sure to send King Toma the invoice." Kali stated. "Alright, once I check in with Eda, let's get to work Sapphire."

"Scree…" Sapphire agreed.

"I know, you're excited for the opening as well." Kali smiled.

"Good luck." Arcadios said as he left her to do her thing.

(Cue Music Montage… Hall of Fame: The Script, Ft.-Will. )

After making sure Eda knew what she was up to, Kali got straight to work on building her shop. The first thing she did was tear the old structure down, and cleared out all the weeds and harmful plants, with her fire and lightning magic. Then she used her construction magic to completely flatten and even out the terrain.

After making sure the ground was to her specifications, Kali used her earth magic to dig a foundation for her store, while making sure the basement in the blueprints she'd drawn up, was built to specifications. She'd need plenty of storage room for her products, and inventory yet to be put out on display. The wood she used for constructing the building, came from her own Palistrom Wood forest, and she made sure three tress were planted in place for every one that was uprooted.

Using her magic to put some of the beams in place, Kali wasn't sure she'd be able to finish this in time, as she stood up atop on of the already nailed in beams, and lost her balance. Sapphire raced to grab her, but was unable to make it in time as she fell. Looking over the ledge in horror, Sapphire was relieved and chirped in happiness.

Kali opened her eyes, looking confused as she'd been caught by someone, before she looked up and saw she'd been caught by Taurus, Lucy's Zodiac Spirit from the Golden Bull Key. Looking passed him, she smiled when she saw Erza, Lucy, Natsu, Happy, Grey, Mira, Elfman, Team Shadow Gear and Makarov were there, all of them having smiles of their own, while having brought some leftover supplies from reconstructing the new Guildhall. Loki, Virgo, and Cancer, even showed up on his own, without Lucy needing to summon him, because he wanted to help out with building the new shop.

Once all were given their jobs, Kali found that building the shop had become an even easier task. Kali watched over the construction, while making adjustments to any of the plans to compensate for any destruction, Grey, Elfman, and Natsu might cause if a fight ever broke out during construction.

When construction was nearly complete, Kali and the others were pleasantly surprised, with a visit from King Toma, Princess Hisui, Arcadios, and several guards and servants, bringing baskets of food. Stopping for a picnic, proved to be quite the nice break, as Kali explained to the King what her designs were, and why the new building was currently taller then the previous one.

She even had a laugh when she saw Toma's horrified face, as he asked if the building was gonna come alive, from being built out of Palistrom Wood. All in all, Kali's time rebuilding the shop from scratch was something she enjoyed, especially with her friends and family chipping in to help. The final touches to the shop were made as the sun began to set. Kali smiled with pride as she hung the sign above the door.

(End Song…)

"The Fairy Tail Magic Library Café." Kali smiled, reading the sign aloud.

"This looks amazing my dear." Makarov smiled.

"Truly a work of architectural art." Toma said.

"I couldn't have gotten this done so fast, without all your help." Kali smiled, turning and bowing to them.

"It was no trouble Kali." Natsu smirked. "We were happy to help."

"I gotta admit, I never thought you'd open up your own shop on the outskirts of the capital." Grey said, sounding impressed.

"Well, the grand opening is tomorrow, so we should all get some rest." Kali said. "I hope you don't mind spending the night on the fourth floor. It's a long commute from the capital to Magnolia, even by train."

"I'm good sleeping here." Lucy smiled.

"Same." Levy said.

"We'll be returning to the palace. But you can bet we'll be here for the grand opening in the morning." Toma said.

"Couldn't I please sleep over father?" Hisui asked. "I wanna help in any way that I can when the shop opens."

"Are you sure my dear?" Toma asked. "I'm not certain that would be wise."

"If it would make his majesty feel better, I'll stay as well to keep the Princess safe." Arcadios said.

"Please father?" Hisui asked.

Toma just looked to his daughter before he sighed.

"Kali, do you promise to keep my daughter safe while she's in your care?" Toma asked, looking to the new store owner.

"I give you my word, on the name of the Fairy Tail Guild, she'll be safe." Kali said.

"Very well, then I'll allow for her to stay the night." Toma stated.

"Yes. Thank you father." Hisui cheered. "So, what fun are we gonna have tonight for the sleepover?"

~Later~

"Let's celebrate Princess Hisui's first slumber party." Kali smirked, raising a glass to celebrate.

"This is quite nice Kali." Makarov smiled.

"Yeah, looks like the old guildhall, inside and out." Grey said.

"But with the addition of bookshelves, yet to be filled with product." Lucy smiled.

"What made you decide to build a library café, instead of a regular store?" Levy asked.

"Well, it's still a regular store. On one side of the building." Kali said. "But I figured, it'd be a nice place for people to take a load off, while reading. I know I'd like to have a nice place to relax after a long trip. I got the idea after my meet up with Coven Heads Darius and Eberwolf."

"But how are you gonna sell your book, if it's in the café part of the building?" Loki asked.

"The books in the café section of the building, aren't for taking home. But if anyone were to ask where they could purchase a copy of the book for themselves, I'd happily point them to the store area on the other side of the building." Kali explained. "The building has two business models. A library café, for people to read and enjoy some treats, while also luring them to the store area, where they'll have a variety of product to choose from for purchasing."

"That is devious." Makarov smiled. "If you need any help with the business, Max should be coming back from school in a few weeks."

"I'll think about it." Kali said. "In the mean time, I'm just gonna have some Palistrom Wood golems running the shop, and keeping things organized while I'm on the Boiling Isles."

"A smart business venture, and you cut costs down by having the store run by your magic." Arcadios said. "Ingenious."

"I gotta actually make the golems before I can put them to work first." Kali said. "But that's something I can do, once I return to my workshop on the…"

Crash

"Come on out here parasite." Someone's voice echoed from outside, as a rock came flying through the air, after breaking a window. "You and I are long overdue for some bonding time."

"No." Kali said, her eyes shrinking in fear, as that voice echoed in her head.

"It can't be." Natsu hissed.

"So that bastard's here? How'd he find Kali?" Grey questioned.

Arcadios looked to the fire and ice duo, before he looked to Kali, and saw the look of absolute terror on her face.

"Who is outside right now?" Arcadios asked, looking to Makarov.

"My pathetic excuse for a son. Ivan." Makarov stated.

"Get out here now, before I burn this whole building to the ground." Ivan's voice echoed through the air.

"I'll go deal with this." Arcadios said, an annoyed look on his face as he got up. "Master Makarov. I'd recommend you use your magic to look over Kali, see if Ivan's using any sort of tracking spell, to find her location."

"A sound idea." Makarov said.

"We're coming with you." Natsu said, with Erza, Grey, and Elfman around him. "That bastard has some answering to do for the shit he's done to Kali."

"Very well." Arcadios said.

With the five of them leaving, Makarov turned to Kali, who was leaning into Mira's embrace out of horror, and shaking like a leaf in a storm, out of fear with Sapphire trying her best to comfort her creator. The sight of this broke Makarov's heart, as Hisui came around to behind the bar counter, and took one of Kali's hands into both of hers.

"Kali, let's see what Ivan's been using to locate you." Makarov stated.

Outside, Arcadios and the four Fairy Tail mages stepped out to confront the man, and the Knight found the man to be as his profile described him. He was a tall black haired man, with a sneering face, and a detestable grin.

"Leave now." Arcadios said. "You have no business here."

"Oh, but I do." Ivan said. "I'm here to pick up my daughter, for some father daughter bonding time."

"You're not going anywhere near her, you scumbag." Natsu growled, his fists igniting with fire.

"The Magic Knights, and the Council know what you've done to Kali." Arcadios said. "An' thus this is the perfect opportunity to let you know, she is under the Kings protection. So any attempts at harming her, will be met with extreme prejudice."

"You're shitting me right?" Ivan asked. "The King, is really protecting that parasite?"

"Kali, is a strong mage, and an even stronger woman." Arcadios said.

"Yeah." Elfman stated, taking on his full body takeover, shocking Ivan as the Strauss brother stepped up to him, looking beastly. "She's the manliest out of all of us, at Fairy Tail."

"Kali's been through enough hell from you." Grey said, creating two blades made from ice. "An' we've got a bone to pick with you ourselves, for what you did to her."

"If it wasn't for me, she wouldn't even be alive." Ivan stated. "My mother returned to the Boiling Isles after I was born, because her curse was killing her. An' what I did to Kali, removed that affect."

"Kali was born here." Natsu said, slamming his fists together. "So that bullshit excuse ain't gonna fly with us. We saw all the scars your experiments caused. We saw the pain you put her through."

"If you wish to get your hands on Kali, then you must go through us first." Erza stated, reequipping into her Flame Empress armor.

"All of us." Arcadios said, drawing his sword, and pointing it at Ivan.

Ivan just looked at the five ready to fight and defend Kali, before something came flying passed them, and landed at Ivans feet. Looking up, Ivan saw Makarov sauntering out of the building, a glare on his face.

"Ivan." Makarov growled. "You've gone too far with your treatment of Kali for the last time."

"Well, it's good to see you again, old man." Ivan said.

"Don't play friendly son with me." Makarov glared. "I've foolishly turned a blind eye to the treatment you've shown your own daughter for too long. But this, this is just sickening. How could you do something so revolting?"

"What is that Gramps?" Natsu asked, looking at what Makarov threw at Ivan's feet. "It looks super gross, and weird."

"It's a Demon Fetus." Makarov stated. "I scanned Kali with my magic, for any abnormalities, that wouldn't be found in any sort of medical exams. An' this appeared."

"A Demon Fetus?" Arcadios asked.

"It's part of an ancient, and illegal spell, used for tracking unwitting women, as well as preventing them from having any children of their own." Makarov said. "Normally, it kills the host within two years, but Kali's curse was keeping her alive."

"Where exactly, is this monstrous tracking creature placed in the body?" Erza asked, her grip tightening on the hilt.

"Where else Erza?" Makarov stated. "It was in Kali's uterus. An' could only be placed there, in a manner of method taboo to do to ones own family, whether it be willing or not."

The instant those words let Makarov's mouth, Grey, Natsu, Erza, Elfman, and Arcadios were in Ivans face. But the instant their attacks landed, the Dreyar man was gone, and all that was there was an illusion of him. Even the Demon Fetus was no where to be seen.

"That coward." Elfman growled, his eyes glowing with power. "Come back here, and fight me like a real man."

"Calm down Elfman, or you'll lose control of yourself." Grey said, hints of a lavender colored icy mist seeping from his feet. "Though to be honest, my temper right now isn't much better."

"At least now we know the real reason, why Kali trembles in fear, and freezes up if Ivan is even simply mentioned in a conversation." Erza hissed. "That vile scum. I will hunt him to the ends of the Earth, and relieve him of his head."

"I shall notify the King, and request to send out a nation wide man hunt for this monster." Arcadios exclaimed, putting his own sword away. "How is Lady Kali doing?"

"She's recovering." Makarov said. "Mira was the one who removed the Demon Fetus, while Princess Hisui was there to support her."

"Will she be all right?" Grey asked.

"It's hard to say for sure. But due to the length of time that the Demon Fetus was attached to her, Kali may be unable to bear children of her own in he future." Makarov said. "The likely hood of this is almost a guarantee."

"Poor Kali." Natsu sighed.

"Mira, Princess Hisui, Happy, and Sapphire are doing their best to console her. But you know how she can be after a visit from Ivan." Makarov said. "She'll need some time to herself, especially after this ordeal she's gone through."

"So what now?" Grey asked.

"I don't know." Elfman said, returning to human form.

"The grand opening of her store and library café are gonna have to be pushed back." Arcadios sighed. "It's a shame, his majesty was so looking forward to it. But it can't be helped I suppose. I'll be sure to get the royal physician out here at once to look her over."

~The Following Morning~

"Are you sure you wanna return to the Boiling Isles so soon?" Grey asked.

"I'm sure. I already sent Sapphire back to the Owl House, and I need to check in on King and Luz, see how their writing project went." Kali said. "Maybe even punish King if he did something stupid. Plus, I don't wanna be in the same realm as Ivan right now."

"Just be sure to take care of yourself Kali." Levy said.

"Don't forget to take the pain killers the royal physician prescribed." Mira added.

"An' keep warm. I don't know how cold it gets on the Boiling Isles, but it never hurts to be ready for a sudden weather change." Erza stated.

"An' remember, you'll always have a home here in Fiore." Makarov smiled.

"I know, thanks everyone." Kali smiled, giving them a group hug.

Ending the embrace, Kali pulled out her portal blade, a cut a hole open through the fabric of space and time.

"Kali wait, before you go." Hisui said, stopping Kali before giving her a hug. "I'm glad I got to make a friend. Take care."

"You too Princess."

"Hisui." She stated. "Just call me Hisui."

"Right." Kali smiled. "You take care of yourself as well Hisui."

With her goodbyes said, Kali left and hopped through the portal. One the other side, Kali found a surprising sight.

"What in Titans name happened here?" Kali questioned, as the portal closed behind her, but not before someone else stepped through.

"Is the Boiling Isles normally like this?" Levy questioned.

"Gah, Levy." Kali jumped. "What the hell?"

"Sorry, but I just wanted to keep you company, and make sure you weren't alone." Levy said. "Plus I've always wanted to see the Boiling Isles."

"Well to put it mildly, no. There's not usually this many cardboard cutouts and merchandise of King littering the streets and… Skara?" Kali questioned, spotting one of her friends, walking down the street with a cut out of King in a turtleneck, and it has a lipstick kiss on it. "What the hell is going on, and why are you carrying a life sized cutout of King? Did you kiss it?"

"Oh, hi Kali…" Skara said nervously, before she ran off.

"Okay, that was weird." Levy said.

"Even for the Boiling Isles." Kali stated, before spotting the library. "What did King do now?"

Heading for the library, Kali and Levy made their way passed the line of people, before she spotted King at the receptionists front counter.

"Rulers Reach?" Levy questioned, reading the title of the book that had Kings name on it.

"There's no way King wrote a book like this all by himself." Kali glared, before she spotted someone next to him. "Piniet."

"Who?"

"A lowlife publisher with a pension for abusing his workers. He must have taken advantage of King naivete and had him sign a contract." Kali groaned. "He tried getting me to sign one the other day, but I turned him down."

"What are you gonna do?" Levy asked.

"I'm gonna have a word with him." Kali stated, marching up to the desk.

"Fans are wondering when the sequel to Rulers Reach will be coming out." Someone in the line said.

"That's between me and my publisher." King said. "Right Piniet?"

"Yes." The three eyed lizard man said. "Oh, pardon me. I need a few moments of…"

"KING!" Kali stated very loudly as she stepped up to the receptionists desk.

"Oh, Kali. I didn't know you knew about my book party tonight." King said.

"I wasn't aware of it. Where's Luz?" Kali asked, crossing her arms.

"I'm sorry, who are you?" Piniet asked, looking at Kali with disdain, acting like he didn't know her.

"Piniet, this is Kali, she's my…"

"I'm Kings legal guardian." Kali stated. "Where's the contract he signed? He legally could not sign anything without my consent or approval."

Piniet glared at Kali, before reaching into his robe and pulled the contract out, showing it to her.

"Here it is." Piniet said.

"Levy, can I borrow your Wind Reader Glasses?" Kali asked, looking to the blue haired girl. "I left mine back at the store."

"Sure thing." Levy smiled, pulling them out of her pocket. "I never leave home without them."

"Thanks." Kali said, putting them on.

Looking through the contract, the fans waiting in line for a copy of the book with Kings autograph, were set with nervous anticipation, before Kali looked up from the contract, and tore it apart.

"Legally, as King's guardian, I do not approve of the terms and conditions of this contract, and as such I did not give my approval for an eight year old, to sign such an agreement. So as his guardian, I declare this contract to be null and voided." Kali stated. "An' if you try taking this to court, you will be facing the consequences of your less then legal actions of taking advantage of a minor."

"C'mon King, Kali's in the right here." Levy said, grabbing King.

"Weh?" King questioned as Levy took him away. "But my fame and glory."

"Wait, what about Rulers Reach2?" Piniet asked.

"Do you honestly believe King wrote a book like this, all on his own?" Kali asked. "He's eight. He obviously edited the work he made with his writing partner. Good day Piniet." She said, turning the contract shreds to ash.

Kali turned her back on Piniet, leaving him baffled and wondering as to how he could have lost an argument to someone who he knew, wasn't even in her twenties yet.

"What the hell Kali?" King questioned.

"Don't give me that attitude mister." Kali stated. "Where's Luz?"

"She's back at the Owl House." King said. "The team broke up, when she couldn't take my superior taste in literature arts, and the edits I made to the story we were working on, when Eda called her down stairs before leaving for some errand that would take a couple days."

"Let me guess, you killed off her character, and added more of your own desires to the book like blood and violence?" Kali asked.

"How'd you know?" King asked.

"An' did Terry ask you about collaboration?" Kali inquired.

"Who's Terry?" King questioned.

"My Type Writer. He's the first one I've ever had since coming to the Boiling Isles, and he's my editor, making sure I didn't misspell anything, or used improper grammar. I even put his name as editor on the back cover of my book. Luz asked me if she could borrow him for your project. I'll be asking him for details about your disagreement with Luz."

"Uh, yeah he did." King said.

"You are in so much trouble young demon." Kali stated. "You're gonna be apologizing to Luz as soon as we get back to the Owl House, and you're gonna be scrubbing the tiles with a toothbrush, for a month."

"Damn it." King cursed.

"I heard that."

~Owl House~

"Upstairs, apologize to Luz now, and then go to your room." Kali stated.

"Yes Ma'am." King said, as Hooty opened up, allowing them to enter through the door.

"I swear, Eda isn't as tough on him as she should be." Kali sighed.

"Uh Kali…" Levy called out, as Hooty wrapped around her. "A little help please."

"Hooty, no. Let Levy go now." Kali stated.

"Aw, but I have a new friend." Hooty said.

"You can talk with her, but don't squeeze her like a snake with its prey." Kali said.

"Okay." Hooty said, unwrapping himself from Levy.

"Sorry about him." Kali said. "Hooty gets real excited when meeting new people."

"I'm sure." Levy smirked.

"I'm back." Eda groaned, coming through the door.

"Where were you?" Kali asked.

"I was out looking for the Bloom of Eternal Youth. But it was just a scam." Eda stated, flopping down on the couch. "Hey McGarden."

"Hi Ms. Eda."

"What brings you to the Isles?" Eda asked.

"There was an incident in Fiore." Kali said. "Levy hoped through my portal to make sure I was okay."

"Well, isn't that sweet of her." Eda said, tossing the map onto the coffee table. "You'll have to tell me about it later. I'm beat."

"What's the Bloom of Eternal Youth?" Levy asked, picking up the map Eda put down.

"It's a flower of legend that supposedly gives eternal youth to whoever holds it. My goal was to keep it out of Emperor Belos's hands, and use it to keep my curse from killing me." Eda said.

"Hey, this looks like that flower you planet at Saphira's headstone." Levy said, showing the picture of the flower on the map to Kali.

"It kinda does." Kali said.

"Wait, you plucked the Bloom of Eternal Youth?" Eda asked.

"I thought it was a regular old flower. Its colors reminded me of Saphira, so I planted it in the ground in front of the tombstone." Kali said. "Didn't realize I'd stumbled upon such a rare treasure."

"That blooms once every millennia." Eda said.

"Well, either way it's on Earthland now." Kali said. "If you'll excuse me, I've got a little demon to punish."

"What's that about?" Eda asked.

"Read this." Levy sighed.

"Rulers Reach?" Eda inquired. "An' why does the demon on the cover look like King?"
