Hello, everyone. I apologize for giving you all high anticipations for a new chapter. If only.
But that is not the case. What I am going to announce, however, is something that I truly wished would never be real and exist in my life.
Today at around 10 am EST, I have been confirmed and diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Not to be confused with the Non-Hodgkin's variant as my case is treatable. Within a few days, I will be undergoing a PET scan, and afterwards, I will undergo chemotherapy. The process will be... very rough... from what I've been told.
In all honesty, I have been expecting this news for some time. About two months, to be exact. And at this point, I was already prepared before the results had even come.
As for story updates, I will have to take leave due to this recent discovery. I may come back and post some chapters, but I will be gone for a time indefinitely.
Before I go, I want to say thank you all for following this story and others likewise. I hadn't thought this story would be so damn popular that it would reach over 1k followers. That's a damn awesome achievement I'm honsstly proud of. Following that, I'm honestly touched by the passionate and enthusiastic reviews that flood through my email within the two-day range per chapter update. And because of that, I got to meet some of the most awesome people within the fanfic community. Not just fans, but amazing writers like ManwithaPlan113, quentin3655, Evowizard25, The Viscount Vampyre, Deathwing17, King-Naberius, Xerzes, Wacko12, djpj7652, SomeRandomMarine, and many others who I hope to include in another edit.
And the same goes for some longtime reviewers as well. Rook435, nintendoplayer96v8, Clown2107, Malgrath, Austin, and even Evowizard25 (yes, he counts as a reviewer) I thank you most of all for writing some of the best advice and critiques to the story unfolding.
With all that done, I will remain here and alive as much as possible. It'll be a tough time to process, but I'm a toughnut, and I'm hard to crack under pressure. I will keep posting chapters if I can help it, but it will be sporadic within the following months.
Stay tuned and stay healthy, folks.
