Finn woke up the next morning and got dressed. The young left his room and made his way to the dinning room. Atalanta was there along with everyone else. Everyone ate and Atalanta stood up to look at her son.

"Come along Finn. Today we begin your training."

"Right on!" Said Finn excitedly.

The goddess and her son went outside to a large grassy field. Atalanta waved her hand and her outfit began to change. The goddess now wore brown boots, a white skirt, a white shirt, a silver breastplate, and bronze helmet. Atalanta snapped her fingers and two Spartans came onto the field handing both Atalanta and Finn wooden practice swords.

"So what's the plan?" Asked Finn.

"Well I think we should start off with a good sparing match, so I can see how skilled you are and then I can figure what's best to teach you." Said Atalanta.

"Ok, makes sense." Said Finn as he took up a stance.

"Now don't hold back." Said Atalanta as she took up a stance.

Finn charged forward with amazing speed and swung his sword to the right. Atalanta blocked the attack, and Finn spun on his heels, to make himself spin around and swing his sword to the left. Yet again Atalanta managed to block Finn's attack. Finn leaped back and then charged at his mother with a sword thrust. The goddess sidestepped the thrust and attempted to bring her wooden sword down on Finn's head. The teen quickly dove out of the way, rolled across the ground, and quickly leapt to his feet. Atalanta leaped at Finn swinging her sword down at him, but he blocked the attack and pushed his mother back. The boy then swung his sword to the side and tried to hit Atalanta's midsection, but the goddess leaped back to avoid the attack. Finn then decided it was time to use his powers. The young hero took a deep breath and concentrated, soon a blue aura was around him and he leaped into the air to bring a downwards slice to his mother. Atalanta brought her sword up to counter Finn's attack. The two wooden swords met with a mighty clash that unleashed a great burst of wind and dust. When the dust settled Atalanta was still standing, though the force of Finn's blow had sent her skidding back several feet from, where she had originally stood. Finn was leaning on his sword breathing hard as sweat dripped from his brow. Atalanta put her sword down, walked over to Finn and helped him walk over to a nearby bench.

"You fought excellently, my son." Said Atalanta as she conjured up a bowl of water and a wet towel for Finn.

Finn drank the water and dabbed his forehead with the towel.

"So how did I do overall?"

"Your form is well and your reflexes and reaction time are splendid. However you need to work on channeling your energy better, so you don't wear yourself out so quickly." Said Atalanta.

Finn smiled at the compliments he got from his mom.

"So exactly what is this energy I have?" Asked Finn.

"Well there are many different forms of power. There are ones that revolve around the elements like Phoebe and there's the power you and I have. I like to call our power the Olympic Power. The Olympic Power has the ability to increase our bodies strength and speed to levels beyond normal boundaries. This power can be used to help topple some of the mightiest of foes and other great feats of strength, however if the power isn't properly channeled you will greatly exhaust your body or worse you could fatally injure yourself and maybe...even kill yourself." Said Atalanta.

Finn was astonished by this news and as he thought about his past experiences with his power, he realized how true his mother's words were.

"So how do I channel my power properly?" Asked Finn.

"Think of the power as a flowing river and your mind is a dam that controls the amount of power you want to channel and release. Now close your eyes and concentrate." Said Atalanta.

"Alright." Said Finn as he closed his eyes and he began to concentrate.

Inside Finn's mind the hero pictured a river of glowing blue water that seemed to be endless. Finn then pictured a large canyon in the shape of a human body with dams connecting the limbs. The hero focused on moving some of the the river water through the legs dams. In the real world, Finn opened his eyes and saw that both his legs were glowing with a faint blue aura. The boy let out a little whoop as he ran around the training area a few dozen times with superhuman speed and then he leapt a few stories into the air. Finn flew through the air and began spinning around, he then started heading back towards the ground head first, but Atalanta leaped in the air and caught Finn in her arms, before landing on the ground, spun him around, and placed him on his feet.

"Thanks for catching me." Said Finn with a slight embarrassed smile.

"Your welcome Finn. I see you have the spirit of adventure in you, since your filled with excitement and want to see what you can do. Just remember to be careful." Said Atalanta.

"Ok mom." Said Finn with a smile.

"Now that's enough for today. You did great Finn and I'm proud of you." Said Atalanta with a smile.

Finn smiled back as he and his mother headed back into the palace.

Atalanta and Finn weren't the only ones training that day. Iroh was training with Ling, Greed, and Tobe. Tobe was getting his swords out as Iroh asked Greed to take control of Ling's body and use his special ability. Greed took control and raised his arms up, as a strange black armor suddenly spread out and covered them. Iroh then summoned a Spartan and asked him to swing his sword at Greed's right arm. The Spartan did as he was instructed and swung his sword at Greed's right arm. The sword struck Greed's arm and shattered to bits. Greed just smirked.

"Yeah that the work of my ultimate shield! I got some serious protection with this thing!"

"So what are you going to have me do?" Asked Tobe.

"Your going to test your swords against Greed's shield. The swords you have now are much stronger then normal swords and they are filled with the power of righteousness. If you can knock Greed to the ground then you'll be one step closer to being able to help me beat Shen." Said Iroh.

"Understood." Said Tobe as he prepared to attack.

"Alright ninja man lets see what you got. It's time to bring my full body shield up." Said Greed as the same black armor wrapped around his face giving him a frightful face with fangs and red lines

Tobe leaped forward and swung his swords at Greed, who raised his arms and blocked the attacks. The ninja delivered several blows to Greed's body Greed stumbled under the onslaught, but he managed to stay strong. Tobe decided to test how stony his aura blast was with the new swords. The ninja jumped back from Greed and began to focus his energy and soon the samurai aura rose up behind him with it's swords. Greed look up at the samurai aura taken by surprise.

"Well that's something..." Said Greed.

Tobe swung both, his swords forward along with the samurai aura. Greed quickly crossed his arms and raised them up to protect himself. The swords met the armor with a thunderous crash that unleashed a mighty gust of wind. Greed was sent flying back and crashed into a stone wall a few yards behind him, before he fell forward and landed on his hands and knees. The samurai aura vanished and Tobe sheathed his swords and walked over to Greed. The armor on Greed's retracted and Greed looked up at Tobe.

"Man...I actually felt a good bit of that attack, even with my ultimate shield. I'm impressed and I'm totally glad we're on the same side." Said Greed.

"Likewise." Said Tobe as he reached down and helped Greed stand up.

Iroh approached his two students.

"Well done, both of you. The swords did better then I thought and you used them like a true warrior Tobe. Your shield held up quit nicely against that attack Greed, just remember not to rely on it to much, an enemy could take you by surprise if your over confident." Said Iroh.

"Got it." Said Greed with a nod.

"Thank you master." Said Tobe.

"The two of you are dismissed." Said Iroh.

And so the trading day was concluded.

To be continued.
