OK!! So, quick thing here. So I was thinking, what if, after the battle against re-estize, our good buddy Momonga decided to reincarnate Brain Unglaus to assist in his study of the Martial Arts? This brought me a whole new set of questions, what would his reaction to Shaltear Bloodfallens master be? What would his reaction to Sebas be? Tsuare? The idea of a nation run by monsters? After he recovered from his major depression, what would he make of the great tomb of Nazarick, his new home? This is the story which I will be addressing all of these 'What if's' and more, if people decide they like it, I guess.
I don't own Overlord obviously, I own no characters, blah blah blah.

...
As far as he was concerned- there were 4 unbelievably powerful creatures in the world that no one could ever hope to defeat.
They were the absolute peak of strength, and to beat them would require obtaining unbelievable power possessed by only the 13 hero's, or maybe even only the gods.
At least, that is only the opinion of one measly human.
Majority of his life- he believed himself untouchable- from his time in the coliseum where he had conquered his opponents quite easily, to his duel with the future Chief Warrior Gazef Stronaff, which he barely lost, all the way to his venture making his way to the top of the food chain in a crime syndicate, he believed himself invincible.
That was, until, the existence of 4 impossibly powerful beings proved him wrong, and proved his desire for strength was useless.
The first was a girl who appeared to be about 14 years of age. She was wearing a gorgeous purple dress which resembled a ball gown covered in an uncouth amount of frills. She was Shalltear Bloodfallen, a vampire who bested his swordsmanship and mastery of martial arts using only her pinky fingernail. With an unmistakable air of confidence, he remembered her shrilly laugh as she completely deflected every attack he threw at her, including the move he perfected for beating the warrior captain, Gazef Stronoff, before his untimely demise. She was completely underwhelmed by his lack of ability, he remembered not being able to determine whether she was laughing at her opponents lack of skill or his excessive abundance of arrogant pride? Either way- the situation was clear- a vampire dressed in a Victorian style dress single-handedly countered his best move with two fingers.
The second was an older man who wore an expertly tailored suit who went by the name of Sebas, and (according to him) he served as a humble butler to his lady, but Brian wasn't convinced- there was no way a man of such power was simply a butler, right? Brain theorized he was a noble in disguise, or some experienced veteran combat expert who took on a position as a butler for the extra cash, maybe some famous hero once though lost who took on an Alia's in his old age? The old man had an unmistakable air of power around him, an aura which filled the target with the feeling that their death was absolute. It was the kind of raw strength and bloodlust that filled the opponent with endless fear. However, he was not the evil creature that vampire was. Brain recalled he occasionally referred to himself as a gentleman, and it was true, he most definitely fit the definition. Sebas was a kind man, the kind who sought Justice in the face of evil and the kind who wasn't going to let unacceptable behaviors pass. He was of the honorable sort, despite the unmistakable air of death around him. However, it never failed to terrify him how that one man could probably take down both him and Gazef Stronoff two v one, even using only his fists.
The third was the Sorcerer King, "God of Death", Ainz Ooal Gown. An individual who lacked muscles, blood and skin. He was an undead, more specifically, a skeleton, or elder ouch. He, too, had an air about him. His eye sockets were empty except for the two small red flames that hovered within them, and within him rested a giant red gem that matched the color of blood. He wore gaudy black robes and exquisitely designed rings, one on each finger, except for his left ring finger. One who was looking at just the robe and garments themselves might have concluded that they were unnecessarily extravagant - that the clothes were too much for any man, but the robe suited the elder Lich perfectly, and everyone agreed so (but even if they didn't, it's not like they would have dared to state so publicly.) He was a magic caster who had taken the life of the man he held the highest respect for, the man he had wished to surpass one day, along with nearly 200,000 other lives the day of the war, with the effects of only one spell, apparently with ease. He had spoken no words directly to the man, and he terrifying him to no end. But, despite this, he was not the brainless undead he feared, no, he honored his duel with Gazef, the terms, and the action. In many ways, the fact that the skeleton wasn't just crazy with power, but actually intelligent and calculating, made him infinitely more terrifying.
The last of of the four strong beings was a respectable man who went by the name "Cocytus." To be quite frank, the word "man" probably poorly described the character. He was what appeared to be a giant icy-blue bipedal bug with four arms, and incredibly huge pincers, with an exoskeleton which he could only assume was stronger than any sort of metal. Despite his beastly appearance, he was of the honorable sort, and could best be described as a warrior. This bug monster was the last of the four, quite simply because his luck had run out, for there were only so many times one could face certain death and only manage to get away due to sheer luck and circumstance. When he faced this impossible being, the human had challenged him to a duel, which quickly ended with the humans defeat and untimely death shortly after.
After meeting all four, he could say with full confidence- their strength was absolutely incomparable to that of humanity.
With deep blue hair, a toned body and and endless thirst for power, Brain Unglaus failed to conquer these four adversaries, and having been slain by the respectable icy bug monster, his soulless body was now shrouded in a thick, unyielding layer of ice, preventing his body long lost of a soul from deteriorating, holding his entire body like a personal bodyguard. However, he wouldn't be for much longer, as the impenetrable layer of ice began to melt away.
His body flopped out of its cage, and a resurrection wand in the hand of a certain Elderlich was pointed at his corpse.
A deep ominous voice commanded the lifeless body of Brain Unglaus.
"Resurrect."
