Chapter 1: Murder Family

1 Month Earlier

"The world used to be simple for me. It had its ups and downs, that much I knew. But what are you supposed to do if you hit rock bottom…?"

It was supposed to be a regular day. Well, as regular as it could be. The sun was blocked by the blinds and the alarm was going off. Her room was almost an old one, having dirty brown walls and a shelf of her things next to her bed. It was Queen-sized with a black blanket over her. The alarm clock was ringing at 7:30. The girl moaned as she banged her hand on the clock and groggily woke up, opening her blue eyes.

She had long, shaggy, dark chocolate brown hair laid all over the bed, wearing nothing but her white tank top and underwear. The girl looked at her calendar pinned to the wall. The month was January with a marked date of the 8th. The other dates were crossed off. It was on a Friday, no less. She wishes it was on a Saturday instead, frankly.

"Ugh…! Can't I just sleep in…?"

Suddenly, a booming voice answered her.

"MAYA! GET THE FUCK DOWN HERE!"

Mays groaned with a bitter tone from hearing the sound of her father's voice.

"No. No, I cannot…"

But she knew better than to piss him off more than she apparently had. She got up off of bed to get dressed.

Downstairs, her father continued to shout, walking up the stairs. He had bloodshot eyes with a five-o'clock-shadow on his face, the hairlines of his short dark brown hair hanging out in front of his face like a worm. And he was holding an empty bottle of beer. It was apparent that he was drinking.

He doesn't necessarily drink often like the run-of-the-mill alcoholics, but when he does, he tends to get more aggressive in his words.

"If you don't get outta that door, I'm going to beat it down and drag your sorry ass outta here myself!"

It was only a short moment before Maya opened the door. She was dressed in a black hoodie with red stripes on her sleeves, along with gray jeans, and she had her dark blue backpack along with her. She didn't seem too pleased to see him. Maya had an annoyed expression on her face that showed she'd been through this scenario before. She might as well be handling a wild animal.

"There's no need for that, dad. I'm right here."

"But you're not down here, are ya?!"

He raised his bottle to chuck it at her, but in his drunken state, he slipped on the stairs and fell on his own face in the process. And he still held the empty bottle even after the rough landing. Maya waited a few seconds for him to get up before she went downstairs, making sure she didn't accidentally step on him.

By the time he recovered from his drunk pass-out, which was usually 5 minutes, Maya was already at the counter, finishing her instant breakfast. She stirred a packet of it inside a cup before putting it in the microwave.

"Huh?! Where are—?!"

He looked around, seeing that Maya was eating her food quickly. For some reason unknown to her, it made him more furious.

"Oh, you think you can just ignore me?!"

Maya swallowed her breakfast and added to his remark, though she mostly said it under her breath.

"I wish I could ignore you…"

After finishing her breakfast, Maya rinsed her cup and put it in the dishwasher before he continued to belittle her.

"You think you can run your smart ass mouth like you know any better than me?!"

Maya grumbled to herself before she retorted. She kept it simple and blunt. She learned from experience that any word to get in him like this would just be blocked.

"I gave up trying a long time ago, dad. You of all people should know that."

Maya was about to go out the front door, but her father had one more thing to say from his clearly hungover brain.

"You mean, when you realized that you're a mistake?"

Maya paused with a small and sad frown. The anger was rising quickly in the tone of his voice, and each one of them was getting to her.

"Yeah, that's right. We both know she died because she had to bring you into this world. We'd be far better off if you were never born, ya know that, bitch?!"

Maya clenched her hand, really wanting to sock him in the face. But she heard the tone of his voice. It was almost breaking down into a cry. Either that, or he was ready for another angry burst. Rather than stick around to find out, she opened the door and spoke her last words for now.

"Bye, dad…"

Maya closed the door and walked away. But that didn't stop him from continuing his drunken rant. His voice could be heard on the other side of the door.

"Oh, that's right! You just keep walking away! You know damn well that I'm right!"

Maya tuned out the rant and walked glumly on the street. She wiped a tear away and continued to walk alone. She had a tear on her face before she wiped it away. The farther away she got from her house, the less sad she became. She looked at her phone, going to the photos. She tapped on one that showed her right next to what looked like a schoolteacher with the both of them smiling, as if they had a great time together.

She had sandy blonde hair and light green eyes, wearing yellow glasses, a long-sleeved cream white shirt with a white collar, cherry patterns, and a light green brooch on her chest, followed by a green scrunchy scarf-like headband, red earrings, a dark blue skirt that went up to her stomach and down to her ankles, black tights, and black flats. She perked up a smile as she spoke.

"At least you don't think I'm a mistake… Mrs. Mayberry."

These two have met before. It was a few years back when she just started being a teacher. And the constant verbal abuse she went through didn't help matters, either. Back then, she would get into fights with bullies. Pretty standard, but at one point, the fight got so bad, he ended up in a hospital. That landed her in detention for the rest of the school year.

But out of all the people in her life, the only one who believes in her was, of course, Mrs. Mayberry. At first, she was trouble for the teacher, especially in detention, but little by little she opened up to her. And in what felt like months, she found herself willing to stay in detention. And she was behaving a little better, too.

What was supposed to be a punishment turned into a place of relief for her. Whenever she had trouble with homework, Mrs. Mayberry would help her figure it out during those detention hours. And those moments helped her finally get comfortable with life, no matter what her dad said. His words still hurt, but she was always there to make it better. It pained her to learn that she went to work at elementary school, but she accepted it. If anyone could give those kids a better future than hers, it would be Mrs. Mayberry. Little did she know how little it would last…

Just then, she heard a car honking in front of her. She looked up from her phone to see a green old car with a hood. And the driver seemed to be in a form of road rage. The car stopped next to her, burning rubber as it made a left turn, and in that split-second, Maya saw a face that she never expected to look so vicious: it was Mayberry's.

The car ran through several mailboxes before it stopped at a house just across the street in front of her. Maya was appalled. She never saw Mrs. Mayberry act that way before in her life. What could've happened?

"What the hell…?"

Maya was a bit frightened of the image, but whether it was despite her fear or because of it, she ran right to the direction Mayberry swerved in. She could smell the burnt rubber on the asphalt streets, so she gagged and had to cover her nose. She also noticed someone else's car out on the front of the house. By the time she got to the house, she heard what sounded like her husband, who sounded shocked.

"Oh, shit! Sweetie, what are you doing here?"

"Shut up, Jarold!"

Maya moved her hand from her nose. Did that really come out of her mouth? Before she had time to process it, the screams of another woman were heard, followed by Mayberry's retort.

"You scream like a bitch!"

Maya noticed the open door and rushed into it. She likely forgot to lock it during her outburst. She ran down the hall and looked inside just in time to see a sight she wished she never saw. Mayberry was holding a chainsaw, ready to cut open the woman who screamed. She revved it as she ended up slicing into her skin, splattering the blood all over the computer screen. Maya was forced to hold in her shocked short burst of a scream just to keep herself from gagging at the aftermath.

Jarold, on the other hand, had a shaken look on his face. Mayberry was panting heavily, having just offloaded her rage on the woman he was cheating with. And to make matters worse, the children were watching the whole scene from the computer screen in pure terror. Maya couldn't figure out how things got to this point, but there's no way she made them watch. She knew that for a fact.

"Oh, god! What have you done? Sh-She had a family!"

Mayberry was now breaking down into tears as she picked up a rifle and pointed it at her cheating husband. Maya put that together when she saw that both of them were naked. Their clothes were all over the floor, now covered in blood. Of course, Jarold covered himself with the blanket, presumably when she burst in.

"We could've had a family!"

Mrs. Mayberry aimed the rifle at her husband and was about to shoot when Maya suddenly found herself screaming.

"NO, DON'T!"

But her words came just too late. She shot her husband in the face, splattering his blood all over the screen before she had a moment to think. Mrs. Mayberry turned in shock to see a traumatized and distraught Maya staring back at her. She could see the terror and heartbreak all over her face.

"Sourdough…?"

Mayberry had tears fall down her face as she stared at her longer. They got even worse when she saw the children looking petrified at her. Her heart shattered to a million pieces as she realized the enormity of what she'd done.

"Oh, dear God. What have I done...? In front of you all!"

She turned herself away and put her arm over her eyes, breaking down into a sob.

"I'm so sorry, my children! Don't forget to work on your times tables!"

Before Maya could stop her, Mayberry shot herself in the head, splattering the blood all over her face. Maya stood there, watching as her body fell to the floor. She started to hyperventilate. She couldn't believe any of this was real. She didn't want it to be…!

"No. No, no, no…!"

In her panic she fled the room and went to the phone. She dialed 911 on instinct.

"Please, somebody, get some help over here now!"

It was only about twenty minutes later that the ambulance and the police arrived. But it was already too late. With a massive shot to the head, Mayberry was already gone. And the woman she attacked barely survived. She was hauled onto the ambulance in a stretcher while the officer checked on Maya.

She was wearing a Mylar blanket to prevent the shock from getting to her. After witnessing the most traumatic thing in her life, she had to stay behind for questioning, missing school altogether. But she didn't care one bit. Not after what she saw…

"Hey… I've, uh, got some bad news. She didn't make it, kid. She's already gone."

Maya didn't budge. She knew that for quite a while. But she couldn't take the thought of it. The only light she had in her life was gone.

"Such a shame, too. My son always talked about her."

Then, he went and asked her a hard question.

"Do you… do you have a family you could talk to?"

Maya looked over at the corpse of Mayberry, now carried in a body bag with only her face seen before it was zipped up. She had tears come down her face as she answered, her voice breaking.

"She was my family…"

Hours later, Maya was laying on the bed all by herself, her eyes red from having cried to herself for an hour. Even after everything, she was unable to accept the fact that Mrs. Mayberry was really gone. The police offered to take her home, but since she lived relatively close to the site, she insisted she go alone. She couldn't go to school like this. She'd be sent back home, anyway. Maya made little to no contact with her dad at all since, which really wasn't anything new. And even then, he'd tell her to go away.

"We all know where we're supposed to go: right back up. But what's the point of it if there's nobody to support you at all? Nobody who cared?"

To make matters worse, she heard her phone go off. When she looked, she saw the news with a reporter just outside of a hospital.

"Thanks to the frantic call of one traumatized girl, who won't be taking any questions unfortunately, the victim of the attack of the psycho bitch, Martha, is expected to make a rapid recovery."

She was surrounded by a tall man with red hair stuck up like a wig, a little girl, and a young boy. The room was filled with colorful bouquets of flowers. One reporter went up to her and put the microphone up to her mouth.

"How does it feel to have survived such a crazy bitch?"

"I just hope that sick woman finally found peace."

They had reverent looks for a moment, but it didn't last when they were offered a golden check of two million bucks.

"You are so brave. Here's two million dollars!"

"Ohhh! Thank you!"

That put a tight knot to her stomach. That woman was never sick. With all the time she spent with her, there was no reason to call her that. She didn't know Mrs. Mayberry at all…! The sadness that was in Maya's void turned into anger. She could never accept a world where she got away with ruining her life. Never.

"And why should I even bother? The world never made any sense in the first place. Why did I have to be born in something so… pointless?!"

Her face scowled the longer she stared at the news, after a moment, she tossed her phone at the wall, cracking the screen on impact. Maya flinched when she heard the thud. For a moment, she laid there before she willed herself to move and look at the phone she chucked away. Walking over gently, she picked up the phone and saw several cracks on the screen, the image frozen completely on Martha.

"I'm sick and tired of living in this constant cycle of misery! SOMEONE has to pay! And for once, it won't be me."

Maya scowled at the image, clenching her hand on the phone, wanting to crush it…

When night came, Maya packed her backpack with the essentials, dumping out her school stuff entirely on her bed, except for her lunchbox. After which, she opened the window, carefully walked out of it with her stuff, and closed it gently. From there, she gently climbed down and jumped off the roof, landing with a hard thud before she walked away from the house. She only gave it one passing glance with a harsh, unforgiving look as she pressed on.

"As far as I know, everyone called her a hero just for surviving. But there's no such thing. And I won't stop until the whole world knows that."

1 Month Later

Andi was sitting on her bed, holding a book in her hands. It was a photo album. She was dressed in only her plaid top and pants. She opened up to the very first page, where everything was blank. Seeing that, Andi lowered her eyebrows with a sheepish laugh for a bit.

"I really gotta get around to taking some photos…"

Just then, she heard knocking on the door. Andi looked up from her book and responded.

"Oh! Come in."

It was her mother who opened the door. She had a big grin on her face.

"Aw, look at you. My little girl's become a woman…"

She gave her a hug before noticing what she held in her hands.

"…who's staring at an empty book for some reason."

Andi gave her an eager smile just thinking about it.

"Yep. I'm thinking about making a photo album of work. I wanted to show dad…"

Before she could finish, Andi stopped mid sentence and tried to correct herself.

"Eek! I mean, so I can look back on how much fun I'm having at work!"

She added a nervous laugh, but she wasn't fooled.

"You really want to see your father, don't you, baby?"

Andi frowned, realizing she'd given it away.

"Yeah… I can't help it, mom. All I know about him is what you told me: that he's a hottie of stone, that he's a ladies/family man, and that he has big wings. But look at mine!"

Andi turned her back on her and held up her shirt to show two little stubs on her back.

"They're not even grown out yet!"

Her mother held a finger up to her "wings", rubbing on them.

"Aw, look at those little dimples~"

Andi blushed a darker shade of red before she turned herself right around and put her top back down.

"That's exactly the problem, mom! I don't want any dimples! I want real wings, mom. Like yours, or… or like dad's…"

Andi had a sad look as she looked down to the floor. Her mother noticed the change in tone and put her hand on her shoulder.

"Aw, sweetie. I want to have him here, too. There's still a few things even I don't know about him. But whatever possessed him to stay in the human world, I do know that he did it to keep us safe. Well, as safe as we can get, but you know he wouldn't want you to compare yourself to him, right?"

Andi kept her glum look.

"That's just it, mom. I don't know. The only thing I know I have of him is this urge to kill people who make fun of me. Last time it happened, I tore a literal child to pieces. I mean, Blitzø really liked it."

Her mom rolled her eyes with disgust.

"Of course, he would…"

"But before we found out he was the target, they all tried to stop me, and I hurt them, mom. If that call didn't come, who knows what I could've done to them?"

Andi curled up in her legs and buried her head in her knees as her tail wrapped around her body.

"Why did I have to be born this way…?"

Her mother frowned when she said those words. Hoping to help her, she wrapped her arm around the back of her neck and pulled her close to her.

"Oh, Andi. I don't know why things are the way they are for you. But it's completely natural."

"Is it? I called Moxxie a 'baby wiener.'"

Her mother shrugged her shoulders, failing to see what that had to do with her urge.

"Well, let's face it: he does have one. He is an Imp. Anyway, you just need to find a different way to let it out. I'm sure you'll find it, soon."

Andi nestled against her side and grinned from her reassurance.

"Thanks, mom…"

After a moment, she pulled Andi deeper, squeezing her head in-between her bust. Andi was baffled by it for a moment before she spoke up from inside.

"Uh, mom, can you let me go from your boobies, please? I gotta get to work."

"Just a little longer, my peanut-butter cup."

A half-hour later, Andi arrived at IMP headquarters, walking in the office to find Loona holding up a picture of a smiling family, a father, a mother, a baby and two children, with one hand while the other was holding her phone. Moxxie was holding a black and red crossbow in his hands. His arms were shaking like leaves as the pointer hovered around the man's crotch area.

"Hey, guys. What'cha doing?"

Millie waved her hand good-naturedly.

"Hey, Andi~! Just helping Moxxie with some target practice."

Andi had a nervous and anxious look on her face as she rubbed the back of her head.

"Speaking of targets… I'm sorry I blindly attacked you all last week. I just can't help it when someone—"

Before she could go further, Moxxie tried to reassure her.

"It's okay. That kid was a piece of shit to you, and he turned out to be a target. It's fine."

Millie concurred with her husband as she nodded.

"Yeah. You don't need to beat yourself up about it."

Andi smiled a bit at the couple before she realized where the crossbow was pointed.

"Uh, should I get out of the way…?"

Millie noticed Moxxie shaking like a leaf when Andi pointed at him. She didn't quite like how her husband was nervous.

"Moxxie, stop shakin'! You're gonna shoot Andi, and our only hellhound, I might add!"

Loona didn't much care about it, so she replied in a deadpan voice.

"Wow. I feel soooo loved here."

Andi looked down at her and wasn't sure what to make of it. She could tell she was passive, but she wanted to say something that would mean something to her, anything, really.

"Well, I like you."

That was enough to make Loona look up at her from her phone. She saw the genuine smile on her face to know she wasn't lying. She gave her a small smile back while Millie counseled her husband.

"Just take a deep breath…

Millie took in a deep breath before she finished.

"…and let it out!"

"But... it's a family! Under what circumstances would we ever need to kill a human family?"

Millie didn't see much reason to argue.

"I mean, if that's what the client wants."

"Maybe like a shitty dad. Or a mob family."

He used an Italian accent to speak the next sentence.

"That's understandable."

Andi looked at Moxxie rather oddly.

"I'm getting the feeling that one's personal."

"But to eradicate an entire innocent—seemingly, in this instance—upper middle class family bloodline?"

Loona looked at the picture for a moment before she pointed out their possible sins, starting with the boy, the girl, and the father..

"Hey! You don't know they're innocent! This kid probably sets dogs on fire, maybe this girl gets off to bullying Australian kids online, and this guy… This guy definitely watches."

Andi had one more reason to add to it.

"Or they could be related to Witch Hunters."

Loona, Moxxie, and Millie looked at her in equal surprise. After a moment, Andi broke the silence.

"What?! Who isn't related to Witch Hunters at this point?!"

Eventually, Millie agreed with her.

"Exactly! Humans are full of secret nasties. It's why so many of them end up here."

"But—"

Moxxie was about to protest, but Millie held her hands on his cheeks and cupped them as she shook them."

"Guilty and innocent aren't our business, Mox. Killin' who we're paid to is our business. Choose a target."

Moxxie aimed his crossbow as he continued.

"I just think it's a bit excessive, and we could be a bit more selective, is all."

Andi only shrugged her shoulders. She was aware of her urges, but that wasn't her only goal. She hadn't forgotten why she came to IMP to begin with.

"Eh. Well, I just can't wait until I go to the Human world with you guys. I can't believe I'm having my first trip today…!"

Loona looked at Andi rather puzzled.

"What? You mean you've never been there before?"

Andi shook her head as she frowned.

"No. My mom wouldn't let me go… But now, I have a job that lets me! I just can't wait…!"

Suddenly, Blitzø barged into the room.

"Andi!"

Andi yelped just as a startled Moxxie accidentally fired his arrow and it ricocheted around the room. Millie jumped into Moxxie's arms as the arrow hit a computer. The arrow then flew and created a hole in the family picture that a stunned Loona was holding. The arrow hit the bottom of a tank with eels and the tank started to wobble dangerously. The arrow flew toward Blitzø, but he caught it with one hand.

"I need to see you in my office."

Andi gasped and rushed over to the eel tank and tried to keep it from falling down as she groaned.

"Ugh…! Can I get some help with the tank first, please?!"

Quickly, Loona jumped up and helped her right the tank, keeping it from spilling over anything more than water. With the accident prevented, Loona sighed in relief.

"Phew! That was too close. Good instinct, Andi."

Andi blushed with a gentle smile towards Loona. Her smile didn't last long as Blitzø reiterated himself for clarity.

"Like I said. Andi, office, now."

A moment later, Andi was standing in front of Blitzø who sat in his desk chair.

"Okay, Andi…. What's your last name?"

Andi paused for a moment as she tried to look up at the ceiling.

"Uh… it's Andi… Hardstone! Andi Hardstone, sir."

Blitzø nodded to her and began to write her name into a paper. The full name he wrote said, "Andy Herdstohn". He wasn't really any good at spelling things, but Andi's first name was the closest to the correct thing he's ever written. After that, he stuffed the paper into his desk and put his legs on the desk as he leaned back in the chair.

"Okay, thank you, Andi."

Andi blinked her eyes in confusion.

"Uh… is that all you needed me for, sir?"

Blitzø scoffed at her question and sat straight up.

"Oh, yeah, no. I just wanted to fill in that blank spot that's been driving me crazy. Anyway, what happened at the last meeting was badass. I mean REALLY badass. Loved it. But you gotta make sure you don't fuck up and hit the wrong target. Not like MOXXIE!"

Blitzø deliberately shouted to make sure Moxxie heard that. He chided back at his boss bitterly from the other room.

"That was COMPLETELY unnecessary, sir!"

"You almost broke the Eel tank, you fucking dipshit! Of course, it's necessary! You're lucky Andi's here, I swear to Satan…"

Blitzø turned his attention back to Andi and cleared his throat.

"Anyway, all I'm saying is, make sure it's actually the one who the client wants dead. Then, you can go as nuts as you want. Just for the future. You got that, right, Andi?"

Andi held her hand up to her elbow, a bit nervous that he'd put the pressure on her. Then again, with how feral she was towards the boy, and what she did to the others who got in the way, it made sense that he'd want her to put some kind of leash on it.

"Uh, yep! Got it memorized. Heh. That's for damn sure…"

Suddenly, Loona called on the phone, making Blitzø pick it up.

"Blitzø, we've got a client here to see you. Said her name is 'Mrs. Mayberry'."

Blitzø's eyes widened with a smile.

"Ooh. Great, Loona. Send her up."

With that, Blitzø finished the short call and turned to Andi.

"This is a perfect opportunity for you, Andi. I want you to make note of every little detail about the target and make sure you slay her with whatever you got. You got that?"

Andi stood at attention with her hand up to her forehead, doing a salute.

"Sir, yes, sir!"

Suddenly, the door slammed open, making Andi squeal in surprise. The next thing she knew, she heard a rather sexual, feminine voice behind her.

"Is this the Immediate Murder Professionals?"

When Andi turned around, she was met with a beautiful Sinner. Sinners were people who used to be humans, but they ended up there because of their sins and died with them. Thus, in the grand scheme of Hell, they're usually at the lowest level. But as far as they went, Andi had to admit she looked rather amazing.

She was roughly the size of Blitzø, with violet skin, pointed ears, red eyes with yellow pupils, and sharp yellow teeth. She had the same tail as an imp, but had noticeable goat-like traits like horns and lavender hooves. She also sported messy white hair and her headband is now black.

For clothing, she had a dark pink shirt with noticeable stitches and an upside-down red teardrop jewel on her chest with yellow on the tip. She also wore a torn black skirt, light red diamond earrings, and salmon pink thin-framed cat-eye glasses. Andi smiled warmly at her, sighing as she replied.

"Oh, uh, yeah! It is. Is there anything we can help you with, Mrs. Mayberry?"

Mrs. Mayberry looked at the little demon oddly for a while. The more she stared at her, the more her image changed. Instead of the demon with black, red-tipped hair, she saw a young girl with a black t-shirt and blue eyes. Both of them were wearing the same hopeful smile.

"Mrs. Mayberry, can I have some help with my math?"

Mrs. Mayberry made a sad smile as she spoke breathlessly, a tear showing itself on each of her eyes.

"My sweet sourdough…"

Andi blinked her eyes curiously.

"Huh?"

Blitzø was just as confused.

"Hold on a fucking minute. Do you know her somewhere?"

Mrs. Mayberry snapped out of her daydreaming and cleared her throat.

"Sorry. You just reminded me of someone. That's all."

Andi chuckled briefly as she held her hands.

"No worries. I got that kind of face, you know."

Blitzø tapped his fingers on the desk.

"Just to be safe… Andi, you're gonna wanna sit down and take notes."

Andi nodded to her boss and got out a pen and notepad.

"Got it, boss!"

Andi sat down on a chair by the wall. Mrs. Mayberry looked especially confused before he explained.

"Yeah, it's her first day. She's a good kid. A really good kid, I might even say. So, who are we killing here?"

Mrs. Mayberry began her story with Andi watching in earnest.

"I was a good person, before it all went down... I was good my entire life. I became a schoolteacher a few years back, and I met a troubled student. She loved me more than anything. I was a mother to her. And she was like a daughter to me. I can still remember how that sweet sourdough had trouble with her math, but she figured it out just to make me smile…"

She paused for a moment, realizing she got carried away as Blitzi and Andi looked at her, though the girl was more intent than her boss was. All the same, she moved on.

"Anyway, after a couple of years, I became an elementary school teacher. And after a while, it was going great. But then, on my husband's birthday, I found out he was cheating on me with Martha, and in front of the children, too! So, I just drove my car up to the house, and I hacked and shot that bitch and my cheating husband to pieces! Before I ended up killing myself."

Andi gasped in horror, holding her hand over her mouth.

"But that's… so awful."

"Tell me about it. You do everything right in life, play by all the rules... and you still get sent down here with all the Hitlers and Epsteins of the world! After one measly massacre propelled by blind rage. So, that's why I'm here. To get my revenge."

Andi raised an eyebrow curiously while Blitzø just smirked.

"I mean, was she hotter?"

Mrs. Mayberry glared at Blitzø with an incredulous look on her face as Andi only raised one eyebrow in confusion.

"I'm just saying, I had a hard time understanding the unprompted melodrama you just spat at me, tits."

Mrs. Mayberry seethed in anger, her eyes glowing red and her hair going wavy behind her. Andi did not want to see the outcome and got back to the subject.

"Uh, what my boss means to say is what would be the point? You pretty much had your revenge already by killing them, didn't you?"

Mrs. Mayberry clenched claws in fury, maintaining some of her patience with Andi's more sensible way of going about things.

"Not... all of them. That whore survived. Now, they all call her a hero."

Andi was thrown off-guard by that.

"A hero? What for? It's not like she saved anybody."

"Right?! Between the talk shows and the donation bullshit, she made so much goddamn cash... getting shot was the best thing to happen to her!"

Andi, getting personally invested in her story, gasped and scowled.

"That monster…!"

"She didn't save squat with that money! But no, they all kept saying, 'oh, you're a hero!' TAKE THE FUCKING HINT! SHE IS NOT A HEROOOOOO!"

Mrs. Mayberry's purple fists smashed down on Blitzø's desk, creating cracks on them. Her face red with anger, she stared into Blitzø's eyes, as if staring into his soul… This frightened the Imp relatively easily.

"Mm-hmm. Yeah! Okay, yeah, my thoughts exactly."

Mrs. Mayberry looked down and realized that she got carried away again, seeing the damage she did to the desk.

"Oh, god…! Sorry about that. I got into the danger zone again…"

Andi blinked her eyes curiously.

"Danger zone?"

"Ever since that day, I can't help but get mad over this whole thing. It's not something I could just—"

"Turn off?"

Mrs. Mayberry looked right at her, once again thrown by her words.

"Yes…? How did you know?"

"I got one of those, too. I call it 'the urge.' The last time it happened, I was a beast. Not too proud of that one…"

Mrs. Mayberry gave her a soft smile as she turned to her.

"Well... it's nice to know someone relates to me here."

Andi heard this and beamed a soft smile on her face as Mayberry patted her on the head.

Later, outside the building, Mrs. Mayberry got in a yellow taxi cab and looked out the window as Andi waved to her. She and the rest of the IMP crew were outside to see her off.

"Have a good day, Mrs. Mayberry! I promise, we'll avenge you!"

She smiled warmly at her before the window went up and the taxi cab took off as she waved goodbye with Blutzo adding to it.

"Byyyyye! And, don't worry, we'll get that skank in less than twenty-four hours or your first kill is freee!"

Moxxie was reasonably confused by the prospect of it.

"When did we start implementing that deal?"

Blitzø turned with a glare to Moxxie.

"Moxxie, do you really wanna ask that after you almost SET FIRE TO MY FUCKING OFFICE?!"

Blitzø grabbed Moxxie's face and pushed him away before he took a deep breath. At the very least, he was relieved that Andi saved the eels.

"Okay, Loona, you still have the book, right?"

Loona typed on her phone as she answered, not seeming to care one bit.

"You mean... our only ticket to the other side? Yeah. Got it."

Blitzø went up with a big smile and sparkles in his eyes before he held a dog biscuit in his hand.

"And that's why you're my favorite, Loonie. You get a tweat, now!"

Loona didn't like it one bit.

"Ew. Stop."

Blitzø flipped it in the air and caught it with his tongue like a frog before he started chewing it. Andi saw the disgusting display and laughed nervously.

"Oh, Blitzø, you kidder!"

She gave Blitzø a hard pat on the back, making him spit out the dog treat he was chewing. He gagged a boy as a result, but he recovered.

"Okay… coming in a little bit strong there, Andi. But I like your spirit."

Blitzø moved on to the other side of the building as Andi gave Loona a wink. She gave her an impressed smile just as Millie drew a pentagram with chalk on the wall. It glowed red and created a portal to the human world. Andi gasped in awe as she stared at the other side.

"Wow… This is what the human world looks like?"

Blitzø nodded with a bit of disgust before he put his hand on Moxxie's face, who struggles to walk to Millie as a result.

"Yeah, I know. A real fucking dump, right? Now, let's go lick some ass!"

Millie gave Blitzø a smirking smile.

"The expression is 'kick some ass'... Blitzø."

Millie snapped her fingers at Blitzø in a sassy way as she walked through the portal. Blitzø frowned slightly from her remark.

"Mine's better."

As Blitzø walked through the portal, Moxxie moved on ahead next.

"Aww, fuuuck…"

But before Andi could go on ahead, Loona stopped her.

"Wait. You do know how to blend in, right?"

Andi scoffed with a carefree expression.

"Of course, I can blend in, Loonie. Any succubus worth their bust can do it."

To prove it, Andi snapped her fingers with a POOF! This time, she had a much different appearance. She had a white-tanish skin tone with light brown hair having red tips, followed by her eyes being red and surrounded by white sclerae. Loona looked at her impressed.

"See? What'd I tell ya?"

However, Loona's eyes were fixed on the top of her head. Despite her human form, she still had horns on the top of her head.

"Oh, shit…"

Blitzø shouted to the other side.

"Hey, Andi! What's the holdup over here?!"

"Uh, coming, Blitzø!"

In a hurry, Andi rushed to the gate just before it could close. Loona sighed to herself as she watched Andi fade from existence along with the gate.

"Something tells me this is gonna escalate quickly…"

Loona couldn't be more right about that…

3 Minutes Earlier

Back in the human world, Maya was walking through the woods by herself. It had been little over a month since Mayberry's murder-suicide. It was also the same time when she ran away from home. Things were tough on her ever since. On one hand, she should feel happy that her deadbeat father didn't bother to look for her. But on the other hand, nobody seemed to care about her enough to check on her. She ended up having to take care of herself, but she didn't have the luxury of getting a job.

Her clothes would have been ragged if she hadn't found a laundromat. She brought her change of clothes, of course, but it was annoying to have to resort to that every few days. And she'd recommend that nobody got her started on the issue of showering. Within the first week, she thought about going back, but the reality that the only person who genuinely cared about her shot and killed herself and her husband didn't let her.

So, she pressed on alone, like she usually did in her life. Her mind and soul were as ragged as wet laundry. But she wasn't going to let Martha get away with any of it. She had to wonder, though. What was the benefit, much less the point, of putting herself through this grief? Maya set her arm against a nearby tree to rest. Her face was full of sweat and tears, and she was spending this moment staring at her fist as she clenched it.

"Why… why did I have to go through this…?! Other people have been bigger pieces of shit than I am…! Why pick on me, huh…?!"

Maya slammed her fist against the tree after a few seconds, turning her rage to the sky.

"WHY DID YOU PUT ME ON THIS DAMNED GREEN EARTH, ANYWAY?!"

Maya's voice echoed across the forest, with no one to answer, not that she believed anybody would. A moment following her rant, something answered her: it was her growling stomach. She didn't have much to eat that morning, so she might as well have been fasting, whether she wanted to or not. Sadly, she couldn't do away with her hunger if she wanted to.

"Ugh… I can't go on like this… I need to eat…"

Maya looked around and saw several bunnies and squirrels around her. But she wasn't going to stoop to that level. She was better than that, or so she told herself.

"No… I'm not that hungry…"

Maya trudged slowly across the woods, holding her arm to her elbow. But she had no idea how lucky she was. She looked up a few steps ahead and saw a cabin up ahead. Maya sighed sadly, having doubts that anyone would help her. But her stomach wouldn't let her turn away from this. It growled louder at her before she replied to it, weakened though irritated.

"Shut up. I'm getting your food, okay?"

Maya walked glumly down the slope to the cabin, left with no other option. Once she got to the door, she knocked on the door three times. A feminine, country-like voice answered from the other side.

"Comin'!"

When the door opened, Maya was met with a very alarming surprise. Standing in front of her was a voluptuous Southern Belle. She had big, poofy blonde hair, light skin, brown eyes, and a mole under her right eye. She was wearing a skin tight cream-colored shirt with red polka dots that showed off her bust, red bracelets on both her wrists, big circular tiffany blue earrings, light purple eyeshadow, dark pink lipstick, tiffany blue skinny jeans, and red high-heels. She also had a bandage on her forehead. The woman gasped in shock when she saw Maya's state.

"Oh, dearie! What happened to you?!"

Maya gasped when she saw her face. She recognized what was left of it after a month ago. She was the one who had Jarold cheat on Mrs. Mayberry, the one who caused her so much pain that she killed herself. Maya wanted to punch her and kill her for what she'd put her through. But she barely managed to keep her temper in check as she replied bitterly.

"I… had a bad month. Let's leave it at that."

Martha saw the pale look on her face and expressed genuine concern over it.

"That bad? No wonder you look like a pale ghost."

Martha pinched her cheek, only for her arm to be swiped off by the agitated Maya. She knew how this was going to end up when someone pointed it out; she'd either be told to go away or be forced to do a favor. And knowing who the person was, Maya didn't want to hear any bragging about how she's a hero at all. She had enough of that for a lifetime.

"I get it. I look like death. I'm sorry I wasted your time. I'll just go."

Maya was about to leave, but Martha spoke up.

"But you can't leave yet. We're just about to have dinner."

Maya turned and looked back at Martha.

"Dinner…?"

"Of course! There's room for one more~"

Before Maya could refuse, her stomach growled again. That's when she got an idea.

"Wait. What am I doing? This is a perfect opportunity. I just need to look for some incriminating evidence and put that bitch in her place for good…!"

She had a light bulb in her head before she turned back around.

"Sure. I guess I could stay and eat."

Martha wrapped her arm around her neck, resting her hand on her shoulder while she welcomed her in.

"Of course. It's what heroes do, you know."

Maya grumbled, seemingly having a look that showed she immediately regretted the decision. She spoke flatly in response.

"Yay. My hero…"

Martha closed the door, but just as she did, a red portal suddenly opened up on the outskirts of the cabin. Not long after, Blitzø, Millie, and Moxxie walked through the portal. All three imps stood in front of a small red house by the lake as the sun set. Of course, after a moment, Blitzø realized that someone else was missing.

"Hey, Andi! What's the holdup over here?!"

"Coming, Blitzø!"

A second later, Andi went through the portal before the trio's mouths dropped to the floor in awe. Andi saw their awestruck faces and became puzzled.

"What?"

Moxxie, Millie, and Blitzø replied only one word like a barbershop trio.

"You're…"

"A…"

"Human…"

Andi raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"What? Can't you guys change forms, too?"

The trio of imps only winced at the question before Andi realized why.

"Oh, Satan, you don't even know how, do you?"

Blitzø scoffed at it a second later.

"Look, Andi, I appreciate your concern, but when we're done, we won't need to. That's how easy this gig is."

Moxxie, as usual, had his doubts.

"I don't know that that's always the case, sir."

"Of course, it is, Moxx. Her house is right there."

Blitzø and Moxxie walked over to the house with Andi and Millie following them as the two male imps hid in the bushes next to the window. Blitzø turned to Andi and gestured to her to come over. She took the hint and hid in the bushes that leaned against the side of the house. The trio rose up while Blitzø stood up and peered into the window. He had a dark chuckle once he found the target in plain sight.

"That's gotta be her. This is too easy…"

Andi peeked at the window and saw Martha and her family just as they brought Maya into the dining room. Sitting at the table was her family of a husband and two kids. The husband was a muscular man with light brown hair with a white strand on the side of his head. His eyes appeared to be closed most of the time, and he also had a golden tooth. He wore a plaid red shirt with blue jeans and brown boots.

And the kids were a girl and a boy. She had ginger hair tied into long pigtails, a rounder jawline, pale peach skin, freckles on her cheeks, and brown eyes, and she was taller than her brother. She wore a lavender blouse with puffy sleeves and a dark purple bow on her collar, paired with a red plaid skirt and brown boots.

The boy had shoulder-length blonde-tinted orange hair with the sides shaved, warmer-tinted skin, freckles on his cheeks like his sister, and a small, round nose. He had small, black beady eyes. He wore a bearskin hat, an off-white shirt that had elbow-length sleeves, brown shorts and muddy green boots. Maya remembered when Jarold said she had a family. They looked pretty decent, but that wasn't enough to deter her from her goal. Martha was moving a wheelchair of ashes up one spot at the table before she pulled up a chair.

"Thanks for being a good sport, ma. She's been through a lot this past month."

Andi frowned from seeing the poor girl's condition. She looked like she didn't have anywhere to go, and that she hadn't eaten in days. Maya sat down in the chair, looking at the ashes sitting beside her. She couldn't ignore how bizarre it was. She looked back up at Martha with a questioning glance.

"You keep your mother's ashes in a vase and set it at the table with you guys?"

"Of course."

"And you're okay with this?"

"Why not?"

Maya still wasn't convinced. And she wasn't the only one. Andi saw the whole thing outside the window, just as confused as she was.

"Yeah, that's pretty weird…"

And as if that weren't enough, Maya also noticed how raw the dinner looked. It was a boar's head with an apple in its mouth. But on closer inspection, she could see that it was almost… human. She felt sick to the stomach just looking at it. She gagged for a moment but she held it in long enough to get out of it humanely.

"Uh… Can I go wash my hands in the bathroom?"

Martha put an innocent smile on her face as she replied sweetly.

"Of course, sweetie. It's down the hall and to the left."

Maya sat up from the chair and went to the bathroom. But once she got down the hall, the first thing she saw was a hunting trophy. Whatever she saw, it terrified her beyond belief. So much so, her whole face turned green and she ran right into the bathroom. The first thing she did when she got there was upchuck in the toilet, screaming bloody murder into it.

"Aw, god! Why?! Just why?!"

Andi overheard her puking cries and gasped. She saw the trophy herself, and she scowled at her.

"That bitch is even worse than I heard! She is going down…!"

But before Andi could move in, Blitzø held his hand up.

"Easy, tiger. Let's give Moxxie a chance here. Moxxie, do you want this one?"

Moxxie looked pleasantly surprised. His boss rarely ever let him make the kill.

"Me?"

"Yeaaaah, this one's simple enough for you to handle. It's just a happy mother who just got out of the hospital."

Andi chimed in to add some motivation.

"And she's also related to witch hunters. Don't forget that."

He stood up and peered through the window beside Andi. But as his words sunk in, his face fell flat when he looked at the family having dinner.

Meanwhile, Maya heaved heavily, having recovered from the revolting sight. She peeked out of the hallway to see Martha and Ralphie affectionately rub each other's noses while she held a dinner platter in her hand. Maya rolled her eyes.

"Sorry, Martha. But you brought this on yourself…"

Maya took a gruesome picture of the trophy on the wall, leaving the flash off before she went up the stairs stealthily as Andi saw the whole thing, peeping through the corner of the window.

Outside, Moxxie had a look of hesitation at the window. Andi saw the look on his face.

"Moxxie? Are you okay…?"

She held a hand over his face to see if he was staring off into space. After a moment, Blitzø took the gun from Moxxie and got ready to shoot.

"You snooze, you lose, Mox!"

Martha's face could be seen in a reflector, her doe-like eyes opened wide and blinking innocently.

"Aaaand I've got ya, bitch."

But before he could make the kill, Andi piped up, but kept her volume low enough to keep them from being discovered.

"Wait. I thought Moxxie was gonna do it."

Blitzø glanced over at Andi.

"Eh, he was taking too long. So I'm doing it. As per fucking usual."

Andi went up in front of him with puppy eyes.

"But why can't I do it? I know the target."

Blitzø sighed dejectedly before he conceded, trying not to make a scene.

"Okay, you know what? Fuck it. Let's do rock-paper-scissors."

As Andi and Blitzø engaged in rock-paper-scissors, Maya was walking upstairs, searching for anything else to incriminate Martha without having to look at that trophy again. The trophy she saw in the hall was not a pleasant surprise, but it was a good start to deliver some long-deserved justice. That said, she can't get the image out of her head anymore. It was too gruesome for words to even begin to describe it. Not even her stomach could talk her out of it. Something had to be wrong with this whole thing.

"Why would Martha have THAT kind of trophy? What kind of hero has that thing, let alone a normal person?!"

After a moment, Maya reached the room upstairs, seeing a door left open by just a crack. Perhaps she'd have better luck at finding more evidence there, she thought. At least, she hoped none of them would traumatize her so much.

"Whatever's going on… I have to stop this."

Maya walked into the room, slowly opening the door before she got out her phone, turning the flash on. She set the flash on the floor and noticed something strange. What she saw right away was a trail of dried-up blood.

"What the hell is going on here…?"

Back outside, Blitzø and Andi threw down their hands.

"Rock! Paper! Scissors! Shoot!"

As luck would have it, Blitzø got Scissors while Andi got paper.

"And boom! I win. I'm shooting the thot."

Andi grumbled as Blitzø picked up the rifle, with Moxxie looking insanely distressed. It was after she sighed in defeat that Andi saw how Moxxie looked. It was almost as though he was having a panic attack just from looking at Blitzø's rifle in his hand.

"Wait... Are we actually killing a family?!"

"No, don't be a puss. We're just killing a mother."

Blitzø positioned his rifle before he finished.

"We're ruining a family."

One moment, it seemed to be the rifle, but another, it looked like the same one he held in his own hand, followed by the sound of a familiar voice.

"Moxxie, no!"

That voice echoed in his mind as he tried to speak.

"But… Ho- Hold on, hold on! Let's just think about it."

"Don't gotta think. Gotta kill."

Moxxie received another flash when Blitzø was about to fire. His boss was instantly replaced with that of a much darker figure. The silhouette looked just like him, but with a much more sinister air around him. He had a growl in his voice and his golden tooth flashed as he aimed to kill. That set off Moxxie more than anything.

"NO!"

Moxxie lifted up Blitzø's gun just as he fired. Andi squealed when the shot was fired near her head, and the bullet hit a glass mirror inside the house. Martha and her family gasped in fear downstairs.

Upstairs, just seconds before the shot, Maya pressed a button on her phone to send all of the photos she had taken. One of which was the dried-blood print, and the other was the trophy she saw on the wall. She could've taken a picture of the dinner if she could, but she didn't want to give herself away too soon.

"There. That should be enough evidence."

But when she pushed send, the sending percentage started at 0% and it only took five seconds to move up to 1%.

"Are you shitting me with this…?"

Pausing a moment, Maya saw the opportunity to bail and find better reception elsewhere.

"Well, no point complaining about it now. It's almost over…"

She put her phone in her pocket and was about to leave when suddenly… BANG! Maya looked to the window in the room when she heard the shot.

"Huh? What was that…?"

Maya walked over to the window, only to trip on something long and boney underneath her. She fell to the floor with a thud.

"Oof!"

While Maya tried to recover from the fall, Martha turned to her husband with worry.

"What was that, Ralphie?"

"I dunno, Martha! But, whatever it is…"

Ralphie stood up and grinned devilishly, standing up while holding a rifle in his hands.

"...they're gonna be tomorrow night's dinner!"

As Ralphie finished, Maya looked up from the floor to notice a rotted corpse just above her. It had been completely stripped to the bone, and from the looks of the meat, it looked like it happened recently. Maya shrieked, holding her hand over her mouth to block out her screams as she backed away. But that wasn't the only thing she found. She saw an unnatural plethora of taxidermy corpses arranged all over the wall, and even as a chair. But the more gruesome part was the centerpiece, a dried-out corpse of a man, laid out like a turkey.

Out by the window, Blitzø glared at Moxxie, fuming in anger for his interference.

"What the fuck was that, Moxxie?!"

Moxxie wheezed anxiously as his eye twitched. Andi saw the state he was in and tried to check on him.

"Moxxie? Are you okay?"

To answer her, he let out a croak with his snake-like tongue out. He then fell to his knees, with his hands over his face. Tears were falling from his eyes as he took more breaths.

"I'm sorry. They just seemed so wholesome and happy. I panicked!"

But while he earned Andi's compassion, Blitzø felt the reason was completely ridiculous in their line of work. He leaned in close and poked his head.

"Oh, who the fuck is innocent, Moxxie?! From the moment of birth, you're already a parasite leeching off your momma's tits! Get the FUCK over yourself, you BABY DICK PRUNE!"

Suddenly, Maya's loud scream of terror could be heard from upstairs with the Imps looking up. Those weren't the cries of someone who was a cold-blooded killer. They were the cries of someone in danger. Moxxie glanced at Blitzø with lowered eyebrows.

"Does that sound like a titty-sucking parasite to you?"

"Yes."

Suddenly, a shot rang out, bursting through the wall near them and shooting past Blitzø's side and arm. Black blood spurted out from the wound and he held onto his arm in panic.

"AAAAH! A new hole! SCATTER!"

Blitzø and Millie fled the scene and Moxxie and Andi hid in the bushes. Suddenly, another hole appeared and part of the wall exploded. Ralphie and Martha grinned as she turned to the children.

"Alright, kids! Guns out! And make sure to tend to our guest inside."

The children got their guns out and had feral looks in their eyes, having turned red as they got their weapons and bared their sharp teeth. Ralphie stood beside his wife outside the window as he called out.

"Looks like we've got some rabbits to catch, young'uns."

Martha and Ralphie leapt through the large hole with their guns drawn. Moxxie peered out from the bushes and rapidly looked around, only to get ambushed by a child's hand that grabbed him by his tail. He yelped as Andi watched.

"Moxxie…!"

She stayed in the bushes as the child dragged Moxxie inside the house with an evil grin before he and his sister glanced up at the stairs. Just as they did, they saw Maya just coming out of the room and barely able to hold herself together.

Andi gasped gently when she saw this in the bushes. She saw her in the dining room with them earlier before Blitzø took charge and tried to kill Martha himself. But she couldn't have come out at the worst possible time. They had their rifles trained on her, and she had no idea what to do. Maya prepared herself for the end when suddenly…

"Surprise attack!"

Andi grabbed the girl by her pigtails and chucked her away to the kitchen, making her drop her rifle before she smashed the barrel to the ground. She used the momentum to kick the boy to the wall. Unfortunately, Andi's kick gave Moxxie a concussion, too, knocking him out cold. She winced and scooped up Moxxie before she apologized.

"Sorry, Moxxie…"

Then, she ran towards Maya and held her hand out.

"Come with me if you don't want to die!"

Maya stared at her in disbelief. She didn't know if it was the hunger or the terror that was making her hallucinate, or even if she was certain that she was seeing things, but she stared at the horns on her head. And she can't help but get scared over it after what she saw. She felt like she was in a horror movie.

"Who are you?! What are you?!"

"I'll answer later! Just come with me, and—!"

Before she could finish, Andi was suddenly hit in the back of her head by the feral boy. Her eyes went wide as the concussion affected her, too.

"Oh, peanuts…"

Andi fell to the floor with the unconscious Moxxie to show the feral children snickering at their new prey. All Maya could do was whimper in fear as they held their rifles and trained them on her.

Meanwhile, Ralphie fired at Millie who flipped backwards to escape and dove into the lake. But that didn't stop Ralphie from pursuing her.

"Where'd you go, little critter?! Y'all can't hide long from me!"

What he didn't realize was that Millie's head was above the water under the dock. A knife was in her mouth. She had no other choice but to attack him, or he was likely to kill her. Suddenly, Millie broke through the dock and landed on it with her knife and a grin. Ralphie swung a glass bottle at Millie, only for her to run behind him out of the way. Using the momentum, she jumped up in the air with her knife in both hands.

But Ralphie swung his bottle upward, knocking Millie in the head. She cried out and fell to the ground as shards of the bottle fell to the dock. She struggled to stand, holding her knife up, only to collapse onto the dock. Her eyes twitched as her consciousness faded. Ralphie smiled evilly down at her as the cloudy sky spiraled red.

In the house, Andi moaned as she began to wake up. Everything was a blur, but her vision was clearing up. However, she was going to wish it didn't. The feral children had devious, sharp grins on their faces. Andi gasped and tried to move, only to find herself tied up to a corpse chair that Maya discovered. And she found out she wasn't the only one. Moxxie was to her left, sitting at the other end of the table.

"Moxxie… Moxxie, wake up…!"

At Andi's behest, Moxxie opened his eyes and gasped with a squeak to find himself tied to a chair crafted from a stitched up dead body. Moxxie's face fell in fear as he looked at the girl and boy. Despite their sinister gaze, he tried to defuse the situation.

"Oh! Well, hello there, little ones. Aren't you cute?"

But they didn't have any plans to make peace. Moxxie glanced up in fear at a red light above him. The light revealed a human head high up and several limbs on plaques. The wooden walls were stained with red blood. Two plaques held stitched-up faces. A larger plaque displayed a dead man with long white hair, arms crossed, eyes and teeth bulging out, and his upper chest was connected to the plaque.

A picture frame made of bones revealed another face made of skin inside it. Human skin was tacked to the wall with "Bless this mess" stitched onto it. Moxxie looked and saw a dead human body on a platter in front of him, an apple in the human's mouth, and the organs were in a nearby bowl.

"Ohhhhh... crumbs."

But then, just when it couldn't get any worse, Moxxie and Andi heard panicked mumbling. They looked up in front of them to see Maya, but her head was stuck in a potato bag that was wrapped around her head, and she was tied to the chair just like she was. Moxxie stared at the poor girl with a saddened look. Andi saw that look and became worried that he was acting out again.

"Moxxie, look at me. We can get out of this, okay?"

But he couldn't hear her words, for they fell on deaf ears. The more he stared at Maya in that condition, the more bitter memories surfaced in his head. The scenery turned from red to dark green, and Maya's terrified mumbling turned older. And her whole figure changed from Maya to someone else under that bag. She had her horns sawed off, and her tail wrapped in cinder block in a boat. Moxxie had tears come down his eyes as the children spoke in low creepy tones with the boy finishing seconds after the girl, speaking instantly after Moxxie.

"It's nice to have a new critter to play with…"

Andi looked between Maya and Moxxie. Both of them were too terrified for words, and Andi had to admit, she was just as frightened. But what scared her more was the fact that both of them were about to get hurt, or likely worse…

Andi couldn't take that feeling anymore. She wanted it to go away, but it was nagging at her very soul. Her whole body trembled as a low growl came from her throat. The feral children looked at Andi in confusion before she opened her glowing red eyes. She spoke once again in a distorted voice, unaware that her back was bubbling up. Her human disguise was also wearing off, her red skin coming back.

"Stay. The fuck. AWAY FROM US!"

Andi burst out of her ropes and her back suddenly sprouted two red wings that burst through her jacket and shirt. The feral kids were much too surprised to fight back when Andi swiped her tail at them, knocking them to the ground before she snatched Maya and Moxxie and dashed right out the window, shattering it to pieces before flying towards the woods.

Once she got far enough away, Andi landed hard on the ground and set Moxxie and Maya down. She craned her head towards the ground as she breathed more slowly. After a moment, Andi looked at Moxxie, who was still breathing erratically like earlier. She tried to get his attention.

"Moxxie, what's wrong?"

He didn't answer. The poor imp was on the verge of hyperventilating. Andi didn't know what to do to get him to stop. She began to feel sad for him. Not sure what else to do, she gave Moxxie a hug. Feeling her contact on his skin, Moxxie's breath began to slow in pace and rhythm, moving his shaking arm to her before he wrapped one of them around her. He began to get his senses together, taking a deep breath and relaxed against the bark of the tree he laid on. After pulling himself together, he saw Andi, holding herself close to him.

"Andi…?"

Andi finished her hug and smiled at him.

"Glad to have you back, Moxxie."

The imp smiled back at her, too, but it didn't take long to notice something special going on with her.

"Andi… why do you have wings?"

Andi looked behind her to see the fully grown wings on her back and flapped them. She stared at them in awe, coming to realize what had happened.

"I got my wings…! I GOT MY–!"

Andi caught herself and covered her mouth before she let out a small whisper.

"I got my wings..."

Before they could celebrate any more, they heard Maya struggling to break free of her binds with the potato bag still stuck on her head. Andi remembered then that she didn't just save Moxxie back then. She was trying to save that girl, too.

"Oh, right. I saved a human."

Moxxie felt particularly bad for Maya to be caught in the middle of this dire situation, especially when his sympathies were toward the wrong person from the start. Though, he was quite curious about the reason why Andi risked her life to save her.

"Not that I'm complaining, but why would you?"

Andi shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't know. I saw how terrible she looked, and for some reason, I just… I couldn't just let her die. I don't even know her, but still…"

Suddenly, Maya sat up and glanced at where the voices were coming from. She was beyond pissed for what she went through.

"I can hear you! Who's there?! Show yourself!"

To keep her from lashing out any further, Moxxie spoke to her.

"Please, just calm down, madame! We're not here to hurt you!"

"THEN TAKE THE FUCKING BAG OFF!"

Andi and Moxxie looked at each other for a moment. Moxxie was more concerned about what she was likely to do when they took off the bag.

"Should we, Andi? To put it mildly, she is… feisty."

"Yeah, but she's not really our target."

Andi glanced back at Maya and knelt down to her.

"Okay, we will. But I need you to calm down and promise that you won't freak out."

"After what I saw?! WHY THE HELL WOULD I PROMISE THAT?!"

Andi placed his hands on her shoulder to get through to her.

"Because this is important. And we can't explain anything unless you calm down. We can handle this rationally. Okay?"

Maya paused for a moment to grumble.

"Fine…"

Moxxie had a worried look on his face.

"Andi, are you sure it's wise to just give away our secrets like that to her?"

Andi leaned into his ear to answer.

"I'm not gonna tell her everything… Besides, she was taken captive and about to be carved up into pieces. I don't think she would go back to her after that. You know the saying: 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'."

Moxxie was about to question her, but she came up with too sound a logic to shoot down.

"Alright. But I hope you know what you're doing, Andi."

Andi nodded to him, though she was just as worried as he was.

"Okay. Now, just take a deep breath, and I'll take that bag off your head, okay?"

Maya tried to take a deep breath, the bag shrinking as she did, only to puff when she blew out the air.

"Here goes."

Andi took off the potato bag slowly, making Maya lift her head up to see Andi and Moxxie in front of her. Her eyes widened when she saw the imps in front of her. Maya was in a state of total shock as she stared at them.

"It's official. I'm dead…"

As Maya's mind was utterly blown, Blitzø dashed through a bush, running as far away from Martha as he could. But wherever he went, Martha's evil laughter followed as Blitzø ran through the forest. He slid down a hill and caught his breath at the bottom. Martha's sing-song voice didn't help matters in the atmosphere.

"I know you're hurtin', little devil!"

Blitzø takes deep breaths as he leans against a tree. His eyes go wide as he covers his mouth. A silhouette of Martha is shown walking through the woods.

"I promise that I can make that pain go real quick! Just come let Mama Martha put a bullet in your pretty little skull!"

Despite her threat, Blitzø sighed in relief, knowing she didn't find him. But his luck ran out the moment his phone let out a yelling ringtone. Blitzø pulled out the yellow cell phone and it flipped through the air as it slipped through his fingers. The phone had "GFY" written on it with a laughing devil emoji on it.

"Dammit!

Trying to end the inconvenience before it stuck around, he tried to grab hold of the phone eventually doing so. Once he had it in his hand, he caught it in his hand.

"Stolas! This is a really bad time."

At his palace, Stolas was relaxing in a bathtub. He was an anthropomorphic owl creature with gray-black patterned fur, and four red eyes, two of which remained on his white face. There were candles with blue flames around the tub, and the floor had glowing astrological symbols on it. The curtains looked like the starry night sky itself as glowing constellations floated around the room. Stolas held an old rotary phone to his ear, in the shape of sunflowers.

"Mmmmm, when isn't it a bad time, Blitzy?"

Blitzø grumbled angrily, clearly frustrated with him.

"What is it?!"

"I've been meaning to follow up on our last little conversation regarding my grimoire?"

In response, Blitzø's angry face appeared in a bubble.

"What did you just call me?!"

Stolas popped the bubble with his finger.

"My book, Blitzy. The book I was given to do my job? That I have allowed you to use to do yours?"

That made Blitzø rather tense. He had a feeling that he'd be looking to have his book back, but he didn't think it'd be so soon. That book was the only way into the human world in the first place. And as if things weren't bad enough, he heard a rifle click in the distance before suddenly, a bullet flew through the tree where Blitzø was moments before. A shadow of Martha with red eyes and mouth appeared through the hole.

"I can HEAR you, darlin'!"

"Shhhit!"

Blitzø ran away as Stolas continued his conversation.

"Anywhooo, I have been thinking. You know, I have been... permitting you to access the mortal realm less than... legally for quite some time now, but I do need it back to fulfill my duties. I was thinking, what if we worked out some kind of exchange? Favors for favors?"

Stolas ran his finger on the edge of the tub, making walking motions with his fingers as they began to glow red.

Back in the human world, Blitzø ran through the woods before a bullet hit a tree, and he ducked behind another one for his own safety.

"Doesn't that sound… enticing?"

Blitzø didn't feel too comfortable with the way he worded things, especially in the predicament he was in.

"You gotta stop using your fancy ass rich people talk, okay? I'm trying to concentrate on not getting fucked in my A!"

The moment he finished, a bullet hit the tree that Blitzø was hiding behind, making him hunch over in a panic.

"Then, let me keep it simple: Once a month, on the full moon, you return the book to me, followed by a night of…

Stolas' eyes glowed red and he lowered himself into the water with a lustful look, leaning slightly over the edge.

"…paaassionate fornication~"

Stolas leaned slightly over the edge.

"Aaand you get to keep it all the rest of the time, hmm? Sound fair, my little Imp?"

Given no other choice, Blitzø had to agree to keep the book a little longer.

"Fine! Whatever!"

"Ohhh, Blitzø! I'm so excited! I cannot wait to feel your slimy (bleeped) inside of my (bleeped). To (bleeped) the—"

Blitzø cringed and closed his eyes as Stolas rambled on about his lust for him. He'd heard it all before, but hearing each one somehow made it worse. Suddenly, Blitzø was pinned to the tree by the barrel of Martha's gun, forcing him to drop his phone. Unaware of the tense situation, Stolas continued talking on the phone through censored bleeps. His phone edited out the especially dirty words. Well, dirty for him.

"Gotcha! So, you're a little devil, huh? Come to drag me and my kin to Hell? Well... NOT TODAY, SATAN!"

She pressed the gun harder into Blitzø, glaring her red eyes right at him.

"Gonna send y'all back where ya came from!"

As Martha captured Blitzø, Maya tried to get caught up on what was going on. It was a lot to process after just being captured by a cannibalistic family, but at this point, she can't exactly walk away from it.

"So, let me get this straight. You two are demons."

Andi nodded as she replied.

"Yep."

"And you literally came from Hell."

Moxxie concurred on that one.

"That's right."

"To kill Martha because someone hired you to do it."

Andi and Moxxie replied simultaneously.

"Yes."

Maya sighed once she got the gist.

"Okay. Just, uh, one thing. Couldn't you have murdered that bitch BEFORE she ruined my life?!"

Andi and Moxxie were thrown off-guard by the human girl's bitter outburst. But Moxxie was quick to jump up to her defense.

"Hey, give us some credit here! This is her first day, and we were literally hired to do it just TODAY!"

Maya went up to Moxxie's face with blistering fury.

"Well, MAYBE if someone hired you to do it earlier, then I wouldn't have had to run away for a month, and I would never have lost the only person who ever cared about me!"

Suddenly, a shot rang out, making the trio flinch before they hid in the bushes nearby. Everybody kept their mouths shut for a moment until they were certain that whoever fired it was gone, at which point, Andi spoke softly with a scowl.

"If you're gonna start the blame game, then maybe don't scream it to the rest of the human world…!"

Andi looked at Maya, noticing the tears falling down her face as she softly sobbed. Her face dropped the glare and felt sorry for her.

"Are you okay…?"

Maya scowled back at Andi as she replied, not quite as loud as before, but still louder than the soft volume Andi used.

"Do I look okay to you? My life was already bad enough with my mom dying the minute I was born, and my shitty dad calling me a worthless waste of life 24/7 ever since, but this? I'm tired, I'm hungry, and I'm likely to die without anybody ever giving two shits about me, never mind one. How could I possibly be okay with any of this…?!"

Maya curled up in a ball, burying her head in her legs as she continued to sob. Andi and Moxxie went close to the girl and tried to help comfort her. She softly stroked Maya's chocolate brown hair as Moxxie wrapped his arm around the back of her neck while he spoke to her. Then, he realized he never got the name.

"Listen… what's your name?"

Maya softly lifted her head up, her eyes full of tears.

"It's Maya…"

"Well, Maya. I'm Moxxie. And this is Andi. And I promise you this. You are not going to die."

Maya turned her head away from him, not willing to believe it after what she went through.

"You can't promise that. Why should I believe you?"

Moxxie raised his eyebrow for his answer before following with a glance that told her he was not kidding.

"You don't exactly look like you're gonna go far by yourself. But at least with us, you have a better chance of making it out of this. So can you work with us for now?"

Maya wiped her tears from her face and sniffled. What Moxxie told her was the truth, whether she liked it or not. And she'd rather not take her chances with those feral kids again, especially not in her weak state. She gave him a nod, albeit a hesitant one. With their vigor somewhat renewed, Moxxie got his rifle and cocked it out.

"Now, let's murder that bitch."

The moment he said it, however, Maya rebuffed the offer.

"Murder? No. I can't."

Andi and Moxxie showed shock and confusion as the former tried to remind her of what she did.

"What?!"

"But she tried to kill you! And eat you!"

Maya turned back to Andi as she made herself clear.

"You don't understand! I want her dead more than anything, but killing her isn't going to be enough! She could be shot dead a million times over, and the whole world would still think she's a hero!"

Moxxie paused for a moment, wondering what her take on this would be.

"Well, what do you suggest we do about it?"

Maya thought it over for a moment before she remembered something. She dug into her pocket and got out her phone, seeing that the sending percentage had gone up to 90%, just switching up to 91%.

"My phone… It has all the evidence! If it could just finish sending them, Martha's reputation would be ruined for good."

Andi blinked her eyes curiously.

"And you thought of that on an empty stomach?"

Maya got out her phone and held onto it as she answered glumly.

"I've been chasing this plan for a month. I can't just turn away from it, especially not now. Mrs. Mayberry's memory deserves better than that."

Andi widened her eyes as she gasped softly.

"Mrs… Mayberry?"

Suddenly, a torch lit up on the other side of the woods, Moxxie saw the torch and became much alarmed.

"Millie!

Andi turned to Maya and cut to the chase.

"Well, whatever you think is best, we've gotta do it before Martha goes Witch Hunter on our friends!"

Maya's expression went stiff and puzzled as she looked at her.

"Witch Hunter? Seriously?"

Moxxie only rolled his eyes in response.

"Oh, don't even get her started."

Meanwhile, Blitzø and Millie were tied to a stake decorated with trees on top. There were torches in rows and tents all around them under a full moon in the sky. Ralphie laughed evilly as he poured gasoline on the ground under their feet. Nearby, a grinning Martha held a torch in her left hand. Of course, Blitzø had one person to blame for it in his mind.

"I had that fucking shot. God dammit, Moxxie!"

Millie had an optimistic look despite how things were going.

"At least Moxxie and Andi are okay. They'll come out and save us."

That reminded Blitzø about the feral side of Andi.

"Oh, right! She could go brutal manhunter on those cheap fuckers! She's probably on her way right now!"

Blitzø paused for a moment, hoping for some dramatic entrance. But as the seconds went by, nothing happened.

"Anytime now…"

Unfortunately, it looked as though her help would come too late. Martha had a fiendish plot in mind for the Imps. She raised her torch as Blitzø and Millie struggled to free themselves.

"Satan! We return your filthy creatures back to the pits of Hell! May the root of evil remain honored as we continue thy work!"

Martha grunted as she tossed the torch to the ground, where it landed under Blitzø and Millie. Evil laughter followed as the flames rose up higher and higher until suddenly, it engulfed them completely in the pyre. But despite the danger it would have presented, the two imps remained untouched, as if it had no effect on them. Millie and Blitzø smirked while Martha stared confusedly at them.

"Yeah, that's not exactly how it works, lady. Sorry, your fire doesn't really hurt us, but, I mean, I could fake it if that'll get your dick hard."

Martha rolled her eyes in defeat.

"Oh. Shit… Well... I'll just shoot you in your smart-ass mouth!"

She grinned and pulled out her rifle while Blitzø admitted to the results, much to Millie's chagrin.

"That would be more effective."

"Blitzø!"

Martha laughed evilly again as she aimed her rifle at the imps. Both imps closed their eyes and flinched, as Millie yelped, only for Maya to shout far away.

"HEY, BITCH!"

Martha turned around to see the fuming Maya glaring at her.

"Let those… things go free. Now!"

Martha and Ralphie scowled at the girl with a smile as she replied.

"And why would I do that, sugar?"

She bared her fangs, expecting her to back away. While it did unnerve her, Maya stood her ground and stared into her eyes.

"Do you know who I am…?"

Martha glared back at her for a moment, only to get puzzled.

"Should I? I mean, I know a lot of brunettes–"

"I was there when you screamed like a bitch!"

Martha's eyes widened when that exact phrase was spat out of her mouth. She immediately had a flashback of Mrs. Mayberry holding a chainsaw to her and her own husband.

"You scream like a bitch!"

During her last moment, she saw the petrified Maya watching the scene in horror as Mayberry's last word echoed in her head over and over. After the flashback, Martha growled like a panther.

"Oh, now I remember. You were that little wimp who couldn't save poor little ol' me."

Maya snapped back as she walked closer.

"Oh, please, Martha. I never gave a shit about you before, and I'm not giving you one now."

Martha stood shocked by her words as Blitzø gasped, surprised by the amount of guts she had.

"Oh, you're not gonna take that from her, are ya, bitch?"

Spurred on by his words, Martha felt challenged by the girl and held up her rifle before she walked up closer with Ralphie next to her.

"You know what everyone else believes, right? That I'm a hero?"

With Martha and Ralphie distracted, Andi peeked out of one of the trees and went over to them. Millie and Blitzø saw her getting closer and smiled happily.

"Andi!"

"Oh, thank Satan you're here! Wait, where'd you get those wings?"

"No time. I'll explain later."

As Andi untied the imps, Maya clenched her fist.

"They're not going to believe anything you say anymore, Martha."

"Oh, yeah? And why's that?"

Martha trained her shotgun right at the girl, ready to shoot her, only for Maya's phone to ring in her pocket. She got it out and saw that the loading screen was all finished up. She then began to type into it, further flummoxing the girl.

"W-What are you doing now?"

To answer, Maya took a quick snap and pushed send on it. The data went a lot faster on it when it wasn't in bulk. That picture was all finished up, too, and she put on a smirk as she held it out in front of her, showing the reflection back at her.

"Because they just saw who you truly are, hero."

Martha's eyes went wide as many messages started popping up below it. And along with it were so many dislikes, they might as well overcome the limit of people on Earth itself! And then came the comments. One of them said, "That's supposed to be our hero?!" Another read, "Why would she eat kids?! I'm not letting her go anywhere near mine ever again!" The third told, "She was probably the one who murdered Mayberry and her husband! She's a monster!" And the nail to the coffin was the last one. "GO TO HELL, BITCH! YOU'RE NO HERO!" followed by an angry swearing emoji with a fire one next to it. Martha scowled at her, her eyes glued to the phone and sneered at the girl.

"Well, I'll be… And after I tried to give you a nice meal…!"

Maya snapped back, completely fed up with her.

"You tried to feed me a dead corpse! You can eat a dick! Not that you haven't done it already!"

Ralphie looked at Martha with a hurt look in his eyes, making the girl blush pink red, followed by Blitzø's chide laughter from behind.

"Ha! She got you there, you backwater cannibal cum dump! Bet you make your husband eat your ass out after eating an actual ass!"

Martha gave the demon a flat look, alongside Maya.

"Really?"

"For the record, I don't know him."

Ralphie, for one, was rather confused.

"Uh...you don't really–"

"Of course not!"

Suddenly, Maya went in front of her, blocking her path.

"Who could believe anything you say anymore? They know you're a liar, and a cheat. But most of all, they know you're no hero. It's over, Martha. You're through!"

When Martha looked behind, she saw that Millie and Blitzø were free and standing next to Andi, who stretched her wings out. They were circling her with no way out. She had a look of panic come over her as she held onto it. She had lost her title, her fame, her money, and her prey. She was backed into a corner. But that was when she was at her most dangerous. She held out her rifle and aimed it at Maya.

"Screw this! If I'm going to Hell, I'mma taking you with me, you worthless c–!"

Before Martha could utter one more word, a gunshot was heard, and Martha's right eye flew out right from her socket, and she collapsed to the ground. Standing behind her was Moxxie, holding his gun.

Seeing the murder happen before his eyes, Ralphie tripped backwards on Martha's body before he fled the scene. Millie smiled gleefully when she saw her husband had come to the rescue.

"Moxxie!"

Moxxie ran over to them and hugged his wife, nuzzling each other's faces as Andi looked on. Then, she turned to look at Maya, who stood over her corpse, silently staring at it.

"Uh… you doing okay, Maya?"

Suddenly, she found herself caught in her vice grip of a hug, making her squeal like a doggy toy. She began to sob into her as the human girl spoke softly.

"It's over… It's finally over…! Thank you…!"

Maya whimpered as Andi softly hugged her back. Of course, Blitzø replied sarcastically, fed up that he wasn't getting any attention.

"Oh, yeah, thanks! I'm fiiine!"

Moxxie finished his embrace and went to his boss to check up on him.

"I'm sorry, sir. I compromised our objective and put us in harm's way. It won't happen again. I promise."

Blitzø pulled Moxxie into a hug as he spoke.

"Apology accepted."

But he began to speak in a low tone, making Moxxie look fearfully at him.

"But, if you ever pull a stunt like this agaaaaain, I will fuck you and your wife."

Right away, he let Moxxie go and spoke casually as Millie raised her arms in a cheer.

"Alrighty! Job well done! Now let's get off."

Blitzø dug into his coat to look for the phone, only to pull out a gray and black horse toy from his chest. He smiled at it before he put it back and retrieved his back-up phone. While he did, Andi looked at Moxxie, still seeing the look of hesitation on his face.

"Moxx, are you sure you're okay?"

"Ehhhh, yeah. Give me a moment. I need to get something I left at the house."

Andi raised her hand up, volunteering to go along with him.

"I'll come, too. Just to make sure he doesn't lose it again, heh."

Blitzø shrugged it off as they went back to the house.

"Okay, fine. But, hurry up."

But before they could leave, Maya spoke up, confused about what she was supposed to do.

"Wait… you guys aren't leaving me with them, are you?"

Moxxie put his hand on top of Maya and gestured to his wife.

"It's okay, Maya. You can trust Millie. She'll keep you safe."

Millie looked confused at Moxxie for a moment, wondering how the human girl got mixed up in all of it to begin with. Moxxie turned his gaze to Blitzø and rolled his eyes.

"But Blitzø, on the other hand… is otherwise engaged."

As if to prove it, Blitzø spoke loudly into the phone.

"Loonaaaa! We're ready to come home, dear!"

Looking at him, Maya only shrugged her shoulders.

"Eh, better option than going back to my dad. Just try not to take too long, okay, Moxxie?"

"We'll be right back. I promise."

After Andi spoke gently to her, she and Moxxie took off running to the forest as she looked on. A moment later, her stomach growled, catching Millie's attention.

"Oh, poor thing. You seem hungry after all that, don't you?"

Maya turned away, having her doubts that she could help.

"It's no big deal. Really. I'll be okay."

Millie only replied by getting a jerky out and holding it out to her.

"Here. It'll help with the hunger pains."

Maya stared at her and the jerky for a moment before she took it. That wasn't to say she's not the least bit curious, though.

"Where did you–?"

Before she could finish, Blitzø's loud voice cut her off.

"What? You mean our client's back already? But it hasn't been 24 hours yet!"

He paused for a moment before he took it in.

"Oh! She wanted visual confirmation. We'll take care of that, just get it ready, please, and thank you."

With that, Blitzø ended the call and turned back to Maya.

"Okay, human girl, listen. I really appreciate you doing your thing. Really saved our asses, but you should really skedaddle on out of here."

Maya glared at Blitzø as she stood up.

"Oh, and why would I do that?"

Blitzø chuckled as he went up to her face.

"Oh-ho-ho. Trust me, kid. I'm the boss of the largest enterprise in Hell that specializes in killing people who screwed them over. And that happened to include the whore you just exposed to the whole world. So, I think you should put more thought into your next words carefully."

Maya leaned closer to Blitzø, scowling harder at him.

"And I think you should rethink telling me to leave. Because now I know that there is a Hell, and that demons like you exist. If you let me leave knowing all that, I'll let everyone know that you are real."

Blitzø wasn't intimidated by that threat.

"Pfft! Come on. Who's gonna believe a smart-ass skank like you?"

"Maybe they will. Maybe they won't. But either way, it will make your job much harder to deal with. If you thought Martha put you through the wringer, I'm telling you now: she's nothing compared to the rest of the sinners here. The whole world screwed me over for pretty much my whole life, so I don't give a damn what happens to them, but you? You could get killed, or worse… they'll reconsider hiring you at all. And within the next week, you'll all be bankrupt."

Millie gasped from a sudden turn of events with Blitzø staring at her in shock.

"You wouldn't…!"

"Wouldn't I? I stripped Martha of all purpose in life before your minion killed her. So think about it this way: who really has the power here? Those who send people to Hell, or those who make them wish they were in Hell?"

Blitzø's face dropped in shock and awe as he looked at her, beginning to blush from her words. After a moment, he looked at her with a smirk at first before he scowled.

"Shit, that was really hot… I admire your cunning, kid. But I also fucking hate you for it."

Blitzø mulled it over for a few seconds before he ended up conceding.

"Fine… I won't make you leave."

Maya smirked, believing she won the argument.

"That's what I thought."

"But wait! I have a retort!'

Suddenly, Blitzø pulled out his rifle and held her up at gunpoint.

"You can't tell nobody if you're dead, bitch! Got something to say about that?!"

Maya was admittedly startled by this, and Millie tried to defuse the situation.

"Blitzø! She's not even our target!"

But Maya had a trump card as she regained her smirk.

"Sorry, but she's right. You can't do that. And even if I was, I just saved your life, so… Life debt."

That made Blitzø angrily toss his rifle at the ground and huffed as he sat down.

"Damn it! How are you so smart…?!"

But as Blitzø became dejected, Millie's hand came up next to him, holding a piece of jerky in her hand.

"Want some jerky?"

Blitzø fixed his eyes at the jerky as he answered in a low tone.

"Yessss…"

He took the jerky and ate it noisily, much to the human girl's perplexity.

"Seriously, where did you get those things?"

"Eh, it's a family secret."

Millie then flashed her yellow eyes with a sweet look on her face.

"Now, tell me how you helped my Moxxie."

Maya blinked her eyes confusedly at first. But out of all the demons, she seemed especially cheerful.

"Uh... okay?"

Meanwhile, Moxxie and Andi ran through the woods with a determined look on his face and worry on hers. As they walked, Stolas continued to rave over the phone about his plans for Blitzø, unaware that he wasn't even there.

"... (bleeped) use while you and I are (bleeped) and jelly sandwiches all night...!"

Andi hummed to what he was saying for a moment. Such dirty words usually excited her due to her Succubus half, but in a time like this, it was fleeting. She turned back to Moxxie and tried to ask him what was really going through his head.

"Uh, Moxxie, why are we going back to the house?"

"Let's just say I've got some unfinished business…"

Andi began to grin evilly, believing that she saw where it was going.

"Oh, now we're taking~"

In the house, the children were being lifted into their father's arms in the corner of the house. With their mother gone, they had no idea what to do from this point on. But their moment couldn't last when Moxxie pointed his rifle at them. The girl and boy looked scared of them particularly. Andi felt a thrill of retribution holding them up at gunpoint after what they put her through.

"Don't move!"

"Not so fun being the prey, is it?"

Ralphie chuckled at the two of them as he held the kids close to him.

"What are you gonna do? Kill us?"

Moxxie went close to the table near a phone as he answered.

"I should! You people are monsters! But… you should have a chance at a life and a purpose. Look at your children. They have their whole future ahead of them! You are going to face your crimes justly. I will call your earthly authorities, and they will make sure you are dealt with fairly. I'm handling this... my way."

Andi frowned at his plan and pouted.

"Aw…! I wanted some revenge…!"

When Moxxie pressed a button, the television turned on behind them. Moxxie looked surprised and glanced behind him to notice.

"Oh, shit."

Moxxie and Andi glanced at the TV remote's design. The buttons made it look like a face, admittedly getting a chuckle out of Andi.

"It's a little TV man."

Moxxie began to get embarrassed as he looked around, finding no phone in sight.

"Uh... do you, uh... Do you have a phone to summon 911?"

Ralphie motioned his thumb behind them as he answered.

"Yeah, it's in the kitchen."

"Then... what is this for?"

"It's a universal remote. Got it for the kids."

Ralphie hugged them as they smiled. Moxxie smiled, too, his eyes shining.

"Awwwww."

As for Andi, she didn't think it wise to think they were cute.

"Moxxie, they literally tried to eat us…"

A moment later, the call was made, and they were about to leave when she turned.

"Wait. Before we go, I wanna know something. Have you guys heard of Dante Hardstone before?"

Ralphie and the kids were clueless. And they showed it on their faces before they shook their heads. The disappointed Andi held her head down and sighed.

"Right… Maybe I'll ask Maya. Thanks, anyway."

With that, Maya left the house with Moxxie looking at her confused as he followed her.

On the whole way back, Moxxie and Andi were silent. Neither of them had said a word since they left. But Moxxie was trying to work up the nerve to ask her about her lineage.

"So, uh… Andi. Can I have… Can I say something to you?"

Andi stopped and looked back at him, curious about what he had to say.

"About what?"

Moxxie took in a deep breath as he tried to answer.

"A few things, actually. First off, thanks for helping me back there. I wasn't in the right place of mind when I fucked it up, and when I got captured. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have been able to make it right."

Andi smiled gently towards him.

"Sure. It's what friends do."

Moxxie grinned at her before he moved on to the other part.

"And secondly, I've been wondering… You were so excited to go to the human world before. Did Dante have something to do with it, whoever that is?"

Andi had a small moment of hesitation. Her face saddened for a few seconds before she took a deep breath.

"Moxxie, can you keep this a secret? I don't think Blitzø would care about my… issues."

"Well, he never cared about my issues, that's for damn sure… But yes. I will."

"Okay. Well, here goes… I was hoping I could see my dad here."

Moxxie raised his eyes in surprise.

"Your dad?"

Andi looked up at the sky as she explained.

"According to mom, he was the best person she ever knew. And he was also great in bed, too. But that's coming from a Succubus, so that's saying something. Anyway, that's not what I really cared about. She told me he cared about her and me more than anything. But, for some reason, he… ended up staying here."

Andi sounded glum as she stretched her wings out.

"And all I have left of him… are these."

Moxxie looked at the wings, and his eyes widened while he gasped once he realized what her father was.

"You're telling me that your father was a gargoyle?!"

Andi set her wings behind her back as she answered bluntly.

"Yup. But I can't find out anything about them, because they're extinct by now. Do you have any idea what it's like, Moxxie, not knowing what you're supposed to be…?"

Andi had tears fall down from her face, beginning to cry, only for Moxxie to hold onto her hand.

"Andi, you already know exactly who you are: a good person. You don't need your dad to find that out."

Andi wiped her tears off as she stammered.

"But… my urges–"

"You went berserk back at the house, didn't you? But you didn't maim me or Maya, or even these feral kids. You saved us. With your urges."

Andi reflected back at that moment, her eyes shining from her leftover tears.

"You never needed to worry at all. You're fine just the way you are. And I'm sure your mother told you the same thing."

Andi sighed as she smiled.

"Thanks, Moxxie…"

The two shared a gentle hug under the moonlight as the clouds parted themselves to shine the light on them.

A moment later, Blitzø stood at the front of the portal with Millie and Maya wrapping up the remains of Martha's corpse in a sandbag and tying it up. Maya, for one, was rather disgusted.

"Great. I'm wrapping up a dead body in a bag. Is that really what my life has come to…?"

Millie patted her on the head as she reassured her.

"Well, that's what the client wants. And I'm sure she'll appreciate you so much for helping us out, especially with your cold-bloodedness. You really tore down that psycho's life. She'd would definitely approve of that.

This made Maya rather curious.

"And, uh… who exactly is the client?"

Blitzø answered as he turned to help Millie carry the body inside.

"Oh, just a former school lady named Mayberry."

The moment she heard that name, Maya became shocked to her core. Millie and Blitzø noticed this and became confused.

"Uh, Maya?"

"Oh, don't tell me you're pulling a fucking Moxxie right now…"

Just then, Moxxie and Andi arrived just in time to see the scene themselves.

"And speak of the devil, there he is. Have a good wank-off session, Moxxie?"

"Excuse me?"

Andi held up Blitzø's old phone, showing that Stolas was still talking into it.

"Have you, sir?"

Blitzø's eyes went wide and exclaimed as he turned off the phone and cut it in half, surprising everyone except the stunted Maya. Blitzø glanced at Andi before his earlier look returned.

"Oh, no. My phone is broken. Oh, well, what the fuck you gonna do? Had a disturbing phone call anyway. M&M, let's get back to our hellhole after licking some ass!"

Millie raised her hand to correct her boss again.

"The expression is still 'kick some ass'.

"And mine is still better."

As Blitzø went through the portal, Andi became confused and turned to Moxxie.

"What is it with him and Stolas exactly?"

"Trust me, Andi. It's better that you don't know."

Millie placed her hand on Moxxie's cheek as she checked up on him. She was aware that he wasn't a hundred percent after what went down.

"You doing okay, sweetie?"

"Better now, honey. I think I just needed a minute to process. Andi helped me through it, too."

Andi nodded to him in agreement.

"Yeah. He pulled together fast with my help."

Millie smiled warmly at Andi and gave her a noogie.

"Aw, thanks, Andi~"

"Ugh, hey!"

When Millie was done, Andi's hair was all crazy, spiking up in all places. She brushed her hair back down to normal as Millie touched Moxxie's chest with a loving look before she playfully pinched his nose.

"You have a goooood heart, honey. Just a fuzzy head."

Millie kissed Moxxie before jumping through the portal herself as Moxxie smiled lovingly. He and Maya turned their attention over to Maya, who stood there dumbfounded.

"Uh… Maya? Are you okay?"

Andi stepped closer when she didn't answer. She seemed to be broken.

"Is it true…?"

Andi was caught off-guard by her words. It seemed almost out of nowhere.

"What?"

"Did Mrs. Mayberry hire you to kill Martha? Is it really true…?!"

Maya sounded like she was about to cry again. They didn't feel good about telling her this, but Moxxie knew it would be worse to lie to her after what she went through. Andi spoke up to her as she explained.

"Maya… we can't lie to you. She was the one who hired us to kill Martha. She talked about someone who wanted to stay in detention just for her. So she could do her math homework to impress her. She called her her sweet sourdough."

Maya started to breathe heavily once she took that information in her mind. Andi saw that she was about to break down and tried to comfort her again.

"I feel like that's not something you would want to hear, but… that's the truth. I'm sorry."

But her words weren't enough. If she really did hire them, that gave Maya a new thing to think about. She had to see if it was true that she, a good and kind person who practically raised her, was really sent to Hell. But more than anything, she had to see her again. Suddenly, Maya dashed through the portal and left Moxxie and Andi in the dust. The latter of the duo chased after her.

"Wait! Come back!'

On the other side of the portal, Maya went inside Blitzø's office and looked left and right. The first thing she saw in the office was Loona, along with Millie and Blitzø, who carried Martha's remains. They had very small eyes and looked at her rather surprised. This was a doozy to see considering how well it worked out last time. But back then, the kid was a target, and Maya wasn't. Maya glared at the Hellhound with tears and vigor in her eyes. She couldn't hide her disarray after all she'd been through in the past month.

"Where is she?! Where's Mrs. Mayberry?!"

Loona saw her broken mental state up close. For whatever reason, it hit her right in the heart. But of course, Blitzø lacked the compassion to listen.

"Look, kid, you've already made your point in keeping you alive, but besides your cheap-ass life debt, I don't owe you anything."

Maya gripped Blitzø by the collar of his shirt and throttled him. She was not going to take no for an answer. Not now, not ever, not when she's this close.

"You don't know what kind of hell I've been through this past month to be this close! So cut the shit, and bring me to her NOW, you scrawny-ass motherfucker!"

Suddenly, Andi grabbed her arms with her own and put her in a full nelson, pulling her back from Blitzø. Maya struggled to get out of her grip as she thrashed around.

"AH! Let me go! Get the fuck off me!"

Andi held on with all her might as she tried to shout.

"Just please calm down, Maya!"

Blitzø sighed in relief before sending an opportunity.

"Oh, thanks, Andi. Quick, Loona, Millie! Help me kick this bitch back in!"

Blitzo was about to do so, only for Mayberry's voice to cut through the air.

"Wait!"

The whole group inside the office all turned behind them and/or looked up to see none other than Mrs. Mayberry. She had a shocked look of disbelief on her face. It was just like back then. She remembered how distraught poor Maya was the last time she saw her. And as she stared at Maya, she felt the feeling amplified in her damned soul over ten times.

"Maya…?"

Andi released her from the full nelson and looked on as Maya's eyes watered to the brim as she stared at her demonic form. She couldn't believe this was her. She couldn't… She started to go into a full-on mental breakdown as her whole world view crumbled once again.

"This… this isn't real…! Y-Y-You can't be real! She'd never go to Hell! She was the sweetest, kindest person on Earth, and she's the only one who ever cared about me! She'd never go to Hell for any of it! She never deserved this! Never…!"

Mrs. Mayberry went up close to her and wrapped her arms around her, pulling her close as tears formed in Mrs. Mayberry's eyes.

"I'm so sorry I left you… my sweet sourdough."

Hearing those words from her mouth once again, Maya gave up trying to deny it. She really was sent to Hell. She completely broke down and buried her head into her shoulder and let all of her grief and despair out, muffling her cries against her skin.

"Why did you leave me alone… in that damned world…?! Why…?!"

Maya continued to cry as Mrs. Mayberry soothed the back of her head.

"Shh… it's okay. You're okay. I'm here now…"

As the teacher and student had their moment together, Loona shed a tear just from watching it and softly smiled at it before looking at Andi, who walked beside her.

"Andi… how did you manage this?"

She simply shrugged her shoulders as she responded good-naturedly.

"What can I say? I'm a people-person."

Loona softly grinned at the little succubus and pulled her close, making her blush as she responded with a sly smile.

"That's good. We need more of those here."

Andi became bashful as she looked at the hellhound and back at the floor. All the while, Blitzø groaned at the scene between Maya and Mayberry.

"Ugh…! This is too wholesome for my liking."

Luckily for him, something was going to interrupt it. Suddenly, there was a loud BOOM! coming from the human world, shaking the office like it was an earthquake.

"The fuck was that?!"

Blitzø looked behind him to see that Moxxie was standing with his back turned to the portal. He appeared to be looking down on something. Clearly fed up, his boss clutched him by the neck and dragged him inside.

"Why were you just standing around?! And what was that?!"

As if things couldn't get any worse, the portal suddenly closed itself, much to Blitzø's chagrin.

"And now, the fucking portal is closed! Way to go, MOXXIE! Now, how are we supposed to send that bitch back home?!"

Mrs. Mayberry stood up and went right to Blitzø's face, her red eyes glowing red and her white hair waving like a fire. She had just gotten her sourdough back, and she'd be more damned than she is now if she just gave her up again.

"You are not going to send my sourdough back out to that cruel world as long as I have anything to say about it, you useless twig! DO YOU HEAR ME?!"

Blitzø stared at Mrs. Mayberry with terror once again. He couldn't argue with her like this back then, and he wasn't about to start now, either.

"Uh… l-loud and clear, ma'am…"

Mayberry pulled herself back from Blitzø and snorted, her glow fading and her wavy hair going back to normal.

"Good."

Maya stared at Mrs. Mayberry with awe. But a moment later, her teacher became embarrassed.

"Oh! I-I'm sorry you had to see that. I just—"

Maya didn't let her explain. She hugged her and wrapped her arms around her waist as she spoke.

"Thank you…"

Mayberry smiled gently at the girl hugging her and spoke softly.

"Of course."

Meanwhile, Andi checked back on Moxxie, who stood there, looking traumatized all over again.

"Moxxie? What happened?"

1 Minute Earlier

"Wait! Come back!"

Moxxie was about to join in, too, but he heard the commotion behind him which made him turn around. He noticed two police cars and a helicopter outside the house, hovering like vultures.

"We got em', boys!"

Just when things couldn't get any worse, a helicopter fired a missile through the roof and the house exploded in a massive inferno. After a moment, something hit Moxxie in the head before falling to the ground. It was the incinerated remains of a teddy bear head that the girl held. He looked quite stunned as Blitzø grabbed his neck and pulled him through the portal.

10 ½ Minutes Later

Maya, Mayberry, Andi, Loona, and the imps were celebrating their victory over the apparently cannibalistic Martha. Across the office, there was a white banner that read "killed the bitch" in red letters. Loona, Mrs. Mayberry, and Maya were holding pieces of cake on their plates. It had "We did it! :)" written all over it in light blue icing. In recovery from the assault from Martha, Blitzø had his arm in a sling, and everyone was wearing party hats. Everyone laughed and cheered except Moxxie, who sat with a distressed look on his face, and Andi, who was patting him gently on the back as Millie, Mayberry, and Blitzø praised him for doing the job.

"Ahhh, did you see my little Mox-Mox?!"

"Yaaay!"

"Ohhhh, yeah!"

Millie wrapped her arms around her husband in her eagerness as Andi tried to soothe him.

"We did it! Oh, Moxxie!"

Blitzø spoke up to the room with pride in his voice.

"Well, here's to another mission accomplished! And we also got some new surprises! Among other things…"

Blitzo said this especially bitterly towards Maya, who glared back at him.

"Not only did Andi control her urges, not to mention earn herself some bat-shit crazy wings…"

Andi chuckled as she flapped them gently behind her and Moxxie.

"But Moxxie finally learned not to fuck up."

Millie rubbed Moxxie's head while adding to his words with a lesson.

"And killin' people isn't that big of a deal if they try to kill you back!"

Mayberry was perplexed by the prospect and looked down at Maya.

"I mean, she's not wrong. The whole family was a pack of cannibals. I'd have been eaten alive if it wasn't for them."

Moxxie continued to stare in distress at the plate in front of him. Andi tried to put a positive spin on it as she replied.

"Yeah, but look on the bright side, Moxxie: at least we can visit them. It's not your fault the police turned out to be savages. I'm telling you: it's the witch hunter genes."

Maya raised her eyebrows, immediately offended by the comment.

"Witch hunter genes? Are you seriously going down that road again, Andi?"

"Come on! Who isn't related to Witch Hunters?!"

Even Mrs. Mayberry found the term offputting.

"That's messed up. But I paid for it!"

Everyone except Moxxie laughed together while Blitzø raised his fist in mockery.

"Yeah, fuck that family!"

After the laugh, Andi sighed and showed that she was really confused.

"Yeah… I'm still confused, though. Isn't Earth your home, Maya? I mean, you really haven't done anything wrong to warrant being stuck here."

Maya had a soft smile towards Mrs. Mayberry, who gave her a nod.

"Look, I know you mean well. Well, better than most everyone here. But the thing is, I've been talking with Mrs. Mayberry, and as it turned out, besides exposing Martha's lies, I don't actually have any reason to go back. It never gave me a reason why I should even stay to begin with. So, I decided that I want to live with Mrs. Mayberry here."

Moxxie didn't like the sound of it at all. The first thing to learn about Hell was that it's called Hell for a reason. And it can't be good if anyone actually wanted to willingly stay in it.

"Maya, are you sure it's a good idea for a human to stay in the most dangerous place there is in the afterlife?"

Even Blitzø knew it wasn't a wise decision.

"Yeah, how exactly do you plan on surviving the mob of 'Hitlers and Epsteins'? Not to mention the 'Dahmers', like the ones we just killed."

Mrs. Mayberry stepped up and smirked at Blitzø devilishly.

"That's where I come in. I've got plenty of experience in this place since I came here, and I'll use that experience to protect my sweet little sourdough."

Mrs. Mayberry pinched her cheek lovingly, making her blush bashfully in embarrassment.

"Come on…"

Loona patted her on the head as she gave her two cents.

"Better get used to it. I deal with this all the time."

Blitzo went up near Loona and spoke in a sweet, doting voice.

"Aw, those are some very wise words, Loona."

Loona grunted with frustration as Maya rolled her eyes.

"You see what I mean?"

"Geez. Doting father much?"

Blitzø scowled at Maya right away.

"Ah, fuck you."

Hearing those words, Mrs. Mayberry clutched him by the neck, her eyes glowing red with her white hair being wavy again. She'd gone in the danger zone

"Say that to my Sourdough one more time. I dare you, twig. I FUCKING DARE YOU!"

Blitzø gagged as Maya tried to stop Mayberry while Andi tried to get him out of her grip.

"Mrs. Mayberry! What are you doing?!"

"Don't be too mad! He always says that!"

By the time they got her to release her vice grip, Blitzø coughed heavily on the table, recovering from being nearly choked to death.

"Okay… point taken."

Later, Mrs. Mayberry and Maya were headed to a nearby taxi just walking out of the IMP building. They both got in the taxi and the driver began to leave the building altogether. As they went down the road, Maya turned to Mayberry, visibly confused by the lack of her own license.

"How come you don't have your own car, here?"

"I'm still working on it. I'm basically a month old in this place. But even I know how it all works. So I need you to stay close and listen to exactly what I say, okay?"

Maya nodded to her gently before she looked up at the blood red sky. Most of the buildings looked like they were beyond repair despite the fact that they still stood, and some of the buildings that were unscathed were brothers and strip clubs. Maya felt a shiver in her spine just staring at them before Mrs. Mayberry wrapped her arm around her and held her close.

"It's going to be okay. I'll be here for you from now on. No more shitty dads, no more verbal abuse, and more importantly, no more being alone."

Maya felt reassured once again by her words. She leaned close, holding her tightly so she'll never go away again. Mayberry sadly grinned at her before she held her arms around her, too. It was at that time when the taxi stopped. It had parked in front of a hotel. It wasn't fancy like a five-star, but it was functional.

The teacher held her hand as the two walked in the entrance. Greeting them at the entry was a tall, dark blue demon with two pronged black horns like a bull's, yellow eyes with black slits, a long, prehensile, barbed-wire-like tail, white hair, and a white beard on his face. He was wearing a green plaid shirt with dark blue jean overalls. Mayberry smiled at the incubus and went close to him.

"Hey, Lax~!"

Lax looked at Mayberry and grinned.

"He-hey, my little Mayberry."

When the two of them hugged, they tapped their horns against each other. Maya watched the whole thing completely confused.

"You know this guy?"

Mayberry turned to Maya and gestured to him.

"This is Lax. He helped me set up space in my apartment room when I first got here."

Lax took notice of the girl beside him and became interested.

"Oh, and who's this? A friend of yours?"

Mayberry rubbed the top of Maya's head as she introduced her, making sure that she didn't flip the hoodie off by mistake.

"Well, as a matter of fact, yes. This is Maya. This sweet little sourdough was looking for a place to stay. I hope it's alright for her to bunk with me."

Lax held his arm close to Mayberry and replied with a smile.

"For you, Mayberry, anything. And don't stress about the rent. You're a couple days late, but, eh, I know you're good for it."

She gently smiled at the demon and hugged him tightly.

"Aw, thanks, Lax…"

She gave Lax a peck on the cheek, the both of them blushing as she did so. Maya looked at the two of them rather oddly.

"…Okay, what did I miss?"

A few minutes later, Mayberry opened the door to her room. The room number was designated as 6606. She led the way as her young student followed her.

"And this is my humble abode. Well, humble as it can get in this hole."

Maya walked in next, taking a good look at the room for herself. She saw a stack of newspapers on a table next to a trundle couch. And in front of that was a coffee table, along with a small-screen TV. Maya whistled at the design as she looked around.

"Wow… you really had all this?"

Mayberry sat down on the couch as she answered.

"Not at first. But since I started doing some… favors,"

Mayberry blushed when she got to that word.

"I've been getting a few upgrades here and there."

Maya had a rather hesitant look on her face when she brought it up.

"Uh, should I even ask what those favors were…?"

Mayberry scoffed at Maya's idea of what they were before she answered.

"Oh, it's nothing like that. It was mostly doing some heavy-lifting, like moving stuff in and out."

Maya had a questionable look on her face.

"I don't know…"

Mayberry then answered bluntly.

"And then, we had sex."

Maya's look went away, and she knew her point was made. Still, it was hard for her to get used to how blunt she was.

"Okay, that, I believe. But you didn't have to actually say it."

Mayberry chuckled at Maya's words as she came to sit down beside her.

"Yeah. It was a consensual thing. As far as this place goes, Lax is pretty good for a sinner."

"Really?"

Mayberry smiled with a swoon as she thought about her first experience here.

"Yeah. I remember how freaked out I was when I got here. I was scared shitless. But Lax found me and helped me set up a room. Well, with a price, but I was capable of paying for it. Anyway, thanks to him, I learned to survive here. And I have a feeling you might do the same."

Maya grinned at her teacher and held her hand up. Into a fist.

"Damn straight."

Mayberry got her own hand out and did a fist bump with Maya, making an explosion sound when they opened their palms. The teacher and student laughed together as they stared out past the TV and out to the rest of the city. The blood-red sky was beginning to darken, and the city lights were turning on, as well as the buildings.

"Looking back, I don't think I hated the world in general. I just hated the way things were."

An hour later, the trundle couch was turned into a makeshift bed where Maya was staying at the ceiling with her hair scattered all over it. And her jacket was set on a coat rack just near the door. She seemed to be in deep thought.

"It's not like it wanted me to live my life the way I did. I just did. If there was a god who actually controlled my life… I don't think I'd be here. But you know what? I think I'm fine with that."

Just then, Maya's phone vibrated, making her look up to the coffee table. She sat up to pick it up. Maya was only wearing her tank top to wear. With the phone in the palm of her hand, she saw a text saying, "Thanks for the phone number!" followed by a smiley emoji. It said unknown, but Maya had a feeling she knew who it was.

"My dad always told me to go to Hell, among other things. But if I knew Hell was going to be like this… I would've taken his advice from day one. Not that I'd die anytime soon."

She typed it into her phone and sent a text saying, "Anytime. ;)" After that, Maya locked her phone and laid back down on the bed, nuzzling in the trundle as she slept on her side.

"I'm just glad that I can sleep again. And that's a hell of a good start…"

But as Maya started to fall asleep for the first time in a long time, her phone vibrated again, this time with a text saying, "BTW, have you heard of Dante Hardstone?"

A/N: Ta-da! And that brings our next chapter to a close. For Maya's story, she took some inspiration from Meg in Family Guy (who I will write a pleasing and cathartic, not to mention lewd oneshot for soon in the last weeks of Summer), and Fry from Futurama in the sense that he ends up at a different time than the one he came from and came to adore it better than the home he grew up in. And for the voices, here's a list below for my OCs.

Mila Kunis (A.K.A. Meg) - Maya

Lindsay Jones (A.K.A. Ruby Rose) - Andi

Bryan Cranston (A.K.A. Titanium Rex from "Supermansion" - Lax

And you can bet there will be more coming to the story before Loo Loo Land, so I hope you will all look forward to my original chapter taking place in the next update for Helluva Team.
