Here I am again with another new chapter. Before I start, let's talk about something.

I finally got to watch the new season recently and…without giving away anything, I liked it. The season definitely has flaws, but seeing Total Drama back is honestly really nice to see. I'll leave it at that for now. Let's get into this chapter!

The familiar shot of Kihci Island opened the episode. But, no narration followed. Little figures could be seen walking along the dock. "So, where is she?"

"I don't know, Dana's looking for her right now."

"So…what are we supposed to do?"

"I…think we have to do the opening recap."

"Alright, I guess I'll give it a shot." The intern cleared his throat. "Um…last time on Total Drama Omega." A flash revealed the events from the last episode. "Ok, I think that worked. Um…it was a runway model competition and…people dressed up and…did their thing." The events continued playing in silence. "Geez, this is moving too quickly. Um…so Dakota and Zoey had their friendship…tested. They failed, I guess, because Zoey revealed to her friend that she was the one who voted Sam off, which Dakota did not like…obviously. And…she got eliminated."

"Oh, I was in this episode too."

Another flash revealed two of the interns standing on the dock. One was Dory and the other was a significantly shorter and pudgy one. "Dory!" He said. "This is my recap. Get out of here."

"Oh, sorry." The tall intern said and walked off.

The fat intern then awkwardly looked at the camera. "Umm…so, let's see what happens next. On a…new episode…that's about to happen…here…on Total Drama…Omega." He sighed in relief. "That was…difficult."

It was an average morning for the competitors, starting off with breakfast, eating eggs and bacon made by some of the interns.

The Newbies side was normal, but the Rookies side was tense, to say the least. That might've had to do with the almost seven foot tall ex-mutant, muttering to herself. Needless to say, Dakota was still upset about last night's elimination.

Most of her teammates tried to ignore her, but one was taking interest.

Confessional (Topher): He was looking at his phone. "The weird thing about most of the elimination videos I've seen is that Dakota usually ends up in the finale, if not, final five. And with where she's going that might not happen. She's definitely popular and that could help me. If I can team up with her, that popularity might rub off on me." He gasped and smiled. "I can see it now…

Topher then imagined the scenario.

A muscular Topher appeared against a shining backdrop, with a much deeper voice. He pointed. "Dakota! I offer you the chance at salvation. The chance to join my alliance and vote off that nasty vile villain, Scott! Will you join me?"

Dakota appeared, looking very different. She was wearing a black sweatshirt and her hair was partly covering one side of her face. She also had black eyeliner. She grunted, as she texted something into her phone. "Whatever." She said dully.

"Excellent!" Muscular Topher said. "And together with the help of Lightning…"

The mega jock then appeared holding a cereal bowl. "Lightning's going to win the Super Bowl!" He then proceeded to smash the bowl over his head.

"...we shall form an unstoppable alliance and help me become the greatest contestant in Total Drama history!"

The picture soon faded, as it showed Topher still in the outhouse. He smirked to himself. "This is gonna work."

Ella happily took a bite of her scrambled eggs. She was in an especially good mood.

Confessional (Ella): "Yeah…Dawn has been on my mind a lot. She's been so kind and helpful to me. And not only that, she's just…so adorable. She has a genuine smile and her eyes are beautiful and the way her hair gets caught in the breeze is just immaculate. She has those gorgeous blue eyes and her pale skin is absolutely stunning in the moonlight. And not only that, she-"

Static

"Ella."

The fairytale princess snapped out her trance and turned. Sky had taken a seat next to her. "Oh, hello Sky. How are you today?"

"Fine." The Olympian said abruptly. "Hey, I just wanted to ask you something."

"Well, what is-"

"You said your mother taught you how to dance. Were you in any dance competitions or something like that?"

Ella was caught off guard and struggled to respond. "Oh, that…that's an interesting question. Um, no. I never-"

"So, your mother only taught you to dance because…she wanted to?"

Ella was starting to grow uncomfortable. "W-What does my mother have to-"

"N-Nothing forget about it." Sky stood up and walked away.

Confessional (Sky): "I don't get it. What is my obsession with Ella and her mother? This has never happened before. I mean, I've been jealous before, but…not like this. I mean there was that one time Rebecca Lowerly got second place in the Gymnastic Regionals…after I got first. I mean, it couldn't have been because I saw her mother hug her after she was upset about not winning. I don't even know why I brought that up. Oh, I also felt jealous when Gabby Redrow came in dead last in another competition and I heard her mother say they were going out for ice cream-" She stopped, suddenly realizing what she was getting at. "Oh, wow, I might have mommy issues."

Static

On the other side of the table, Jo sat alone, thinking to herself.

Confessional (Jo): "Yeah, you already know my issue. But now I need to do something about it." She pondered. "I guess I could frame the Aussie for something to make her look bad, but with what? What if I took Piss Doubtfire's shirts, cut them up and made it look like she did it?" She let her plan sit for a bit, before her face fell. "Nah, that's not going to work. Knowing that Fashionista Freak, he'll trace it back to me. I've gotta figure this out."

Breakfast was soon over and most of the competitors left to go back to the cabin. Brick had just stepped outside. Nearby, Jasmine was watching him. She thought to herself, then took a deep breath and went up to him.

"Hey." She said.

Brick was surprised. "O-Oh…h-hey, Jasmine. H-How are you?"

"I'm good. You?"

"I…am also good. Thanks for asking."

An awkward silence followed. Both competitors looked like they wanted to speak, but couldn't.

Confessional (Jasmine): She grunted. "Why is this so difficult? We've already talked before, so what gives?!."

Confessional (Brick): He sighed. "I've spoken to Jasmine already. I can do it here too."

Static

"So…" Brick started. "Now that we have a moment, I've been meaning to ask you this. What is it like to live in Australia? I've always wanted to go there."

The Aussie native wasn't sure how to respond. Eventually, she found her voice. "Oh, it's nice…nice might sound a bit misleading actually. I've come across a lot of dangerous animals, but once you know how to avoid them, it's actually pretty nice."

"Wow, you must know your stuff."

Jasmine found herself blushing. "Yeah. It also helps that my cat is one of those dangerous animals that we somehow domesticated."

Brick suddenly started laughing. Jasmine swelled with pride once she heard it. Now, she figured, it was her turn. "Can I ask you about boot camp?"

The cadet stopped laughing. "Oh, that? Honestly, it wasn't as strenuous when you compare it to fashion school. The drill sergeants were pretty tough, but I honestly found most of my fellow students more intimidating."

Jasmine raised an eyebrow. " 'Wasn't?' So…you're not in boot camp anymore?"

"Nope. Graduated a few months before joining fashion school."

"Oh, that's cool. So, how are you able to do fashion school and train to join the army?"

"Oh, I'm not joining."

Jasmine stared. "You…you're not? But, I thought that-"

"It's not a big deal." Brick said quickly. "Here, if you don't mind, I think I'll get a run in before today's challenge. I'll see ya later" Rather hastily, Brick moved past Jasmine and started jogging into the woods.

Jasmine watched him, stunned by Brick's sudden change in demeanor.

In his cabin, Dave was writing something in a notebook. He pondered to himself for a moment, before uncertainty writing something in it.

Confessional (Dave): "I've been writing down the names of the people Sky likes. If I can remember them, maybe she'll at least appreciate me for taking some interest in her. Or…I don't know, would that be too creepy? Maybe I should pretend to get a name wrong, so it doesn't seem like I'm listing too much."

Static

Dave continued working on his book, before he heard a knock. He looked up and had to do a double take at who he saw.

"Hey," Sky said. "Can I come in?"

Dave didn't answer immediately. His first thought went to 'oh god, I'm still holding the notebook.' He quickly ripped the paper out, crushed it up and tossed it away. Sky just stared at him awkwardly, so Dave figured the best thing to do was to laugh.

"Ha…ha…just…doing…something…what's up?" He chuckled.

Sky chose to ignore what happened and walked up to him. "I just wanted to say thanks. Y'know, for helping me relax during yesterday's challenge? I really needed it."

"Oh. That's…good?" He said, unsurely.

"So…" Sky continued, taking a seat next to him. "I thought it was only fair that I returned the favor."

"By…?"

"Asking you what you like."

Dave froze.

Confessional (Dave): "I did not account for any of this. Sky isn't supposed to ask me what I like. I'm supposed to find out what she likes and…ok, I never actually got that far, but this wasn't supposed to happen." He sighed. "What do I tell her? I could lie but, every sitcom I've ever watched has told me lying will only lead to a string of events that embarrass me and force me to tell the truth at some point." He paused. "I probably shouldn't tell her I watch a lot of sitcoms."

Static

"Oh, I like stuff. Like…reading and…looking at books."

"Oh, cool." Sky replied. "I don't usually have time to read. If I'm not training, I'm too exhausted to really do anything else. I really want to read Gabby Douglas' book."

"Yes…Gabby Douglas." Dave noted. "She…is also a gymnast…which is what you are."

To Dave's surprise, Sky chuckled lightly. He didn't know what to do, so joined in with her. But, after a minute, it stopped and Sky's face fell to a much more serious look. She wasn't looking at Dave.

The black haired competitor noticed, but wasn't sure what to do. They just sat in silence, as Sky stared. Finally, Dave stood up.

Confessional (Dave): "I…don't really know what that's about, but…I guess she needs to be alone…I think I'm doing this correctly."

Static

Sky took a deep breath. "Hey, if it's not too much, I kinda wanted to talk about-" She looked up, finally realizing Dave was gone. She gaped in bewilderment, as she looked around the room.

Dawn walked into her cabin. The only other person inside was Dakota. This was a good thing because that's exactly who the moonchild was looking for.

"Hello, Dakota." She said gently.

The ex-mutant looked up. She still seemed upset, but seeing Dawn did bring a small smile to her face. "Hey…" She responded quietly.

"I'm…sorry about what happened." Dawn took a seat on the bed that Dakota was sitting on. "Would you like to talk about it?"

Dakota sighed. "Not really. I'm not in the mood."

Dawn thought about her talks with Ella. "Perhaps you need to express these feelings in a symbolic way, like…dance?"

Surprisingly, the ex-mutant didn't react much to this. "Dawn…I don't want to do any 'expressive dances' or whatever. Honestly, if I do that, I'm worried I'm going to break something…and it won't be an accident."

The moonchild's face fell.

Confessional (Dawn): "Dakota isn't in a state to be reasoned with, so trying it now is asking for trouble. And it doesn't help because I don't know what happened. I'm sure Scott had something to do with it, but why wouldn't she say that?"

Static

From the entrance of the cabin, Topher was listening in. He had heard everything and wasn't happy.

Confessional (Topher): "If Dawn sticks around Dakota for too long that might ruin my alliance. I need Dakota to stay where she is, so I need Dawn…gone. Hopefully that shouldn't be an issue since Scott doesn't like her."

Static

Scott was relaxing on his bed. "Why should I care?"

Topher was now in the guys side of the cabin. "With Zoey eliminated, they might figure you had something to do with it. And with her friendship with Lightning, that might be bad for one of us."

"Zoey's too much of a goodie-good to blame me. And Dakota isn't smart enough to realize that. As long as I stay out of the way, I'm good."

"But Dawn still hates you for what happened last season. She probably still wants revenge."

Confessional (Topher): "I need Scott to start doing stuff. If it's just me coming up with plans, it'll make me look like the bad guy."

Static

Scott just shrugged. "I got her once, I'll get her again." He then closed his eyes for a nap.

Topher sighed, defeated. But he quickly perked up.

Confessional (Topher): "If Scott isn't going to do anything, then I can put all my attention on my new alliance."

Static

A few hours had passed and the competitors had returned to the mess hall for lunch. But strangely, there was no sign of any interns. Everyone waited at the tables, but nothing happened.

Sky thought to herself.

"Hey, is any here to feed us?" Jo called. No reply.

"Maybe they're making something special?" Ella figured.

"Yeah, like they usually do with their store bought ham and cheese sandwiches?" Scott said sarcastically.

"Hey, food is food," Jasmine said. "Any meal is speci-" She stopped herself, suddenly realizing the rest of her team was gone. She turned to the door to see Sky. She was waving at her to come outside. The Aussie was unsure, but followed.

"Alright, guys, listen up." Sky said quietly. "I think something's up."

"What, the sky?" Jo chuckled to herself.

Sky ignored her. "We haven't seen Blaineley all day. And now the interns are gone too. I think she's hiding."

"From what?"

"From us. I think this is a challenge." Everyone shared looks of uncertainty. "Think about it. No host, no interns and around this time, she or Don would be here to announce a challenge."

"And what if it isn't and you're overthinking it?" Jo noted.

Before Sky could respond, Dave stepped forward. "Well, she's not." He declared. "And…you're wrong because…Sky knows what she's doing and…yeah!" He tried to look confident.

Confessional (Dave): "I think that's just the right amount of sucking up. Any more and I would've looked like a creep."

Static

"I say we lead a team of myself, Jo, Brick and-"

"Woah!" Jasmine interrupted. "Who put you in charge of this?"

"No one, but-"

"But, nothing! I don't trust you for a second to lead this team. Not after what you did."

"What are you…wait, do you mean Beardo? Are you still on that?"

"Hell yes! You caused a good bloke to go home and no way am I about to let you do that again."

An uncomfortable silence followed. Sky frowned at the ordeal and might've said something about it too.

"Well," Dave said. "If you think you can do better, why don't you lead the team?"

"Gladly. Any objections?"

No one said anything. It quickly dawned on Dave that he might've said the wrong thing. He looked over at Sky, who looked more annoyed than before.

Confessional (Dave): "Ok, maybe it wasn't creepy, but that was way too much sucking up. I really need to remember to keep my mouth shut."

Static.

"Here's what we'll do." Jasmine said. "We'll start at one end of the island, spread out so one person can search one section. That way one of us should be able to find her before reaching the other side."

Her teammates nodded, even Sky.

"Hey, guys!" The Newbies turned to the noise. "They're looking for that host lady because she's apparently hiding from us. But it's okay, Lightning's gonna find her in no time!" The mega jock suddenly ran out of the mess hall, sprinting past the Newbies and into the woods.

"Wait, Lightning!" Topher was chasing after him. "I need you!" Soon, both were out of sight.

"Alright, let's get moving." Jasmine said. Then an idea hit her. "Oh, I've got something. Ella, what if you used your animals to…Ella? Has anyone seen Ella?"

"...I just feel bad for what happened." Dawn said.

As usual, her and her 'friend,' Ella, were in their picnic area. Only this time, Dawn was lying on her back with her head resting on Ella's lap, while the fairytale princess gently stroked her hair.

As close friends do.

Dawn continued. "They were really good friends. Zoey was the first one there when Dakota came out of her mutant treatments and stayed at her house for two months while she was recovering. Now to see it falling apart is disappointing. To top it all off, Dakota isn't willing to listen and I fear she may never want to rekindle her friendship the longer she stays bitter."

Ella gave a reassuring smile. "She just needs time. A true friendship will always find a way to repair itself." Her smile slightly faltered, but quickly went back. "How do you feel now?"

Dawn thought to herself. "I…feel an odd sense of relief. I mean, I still feel bad I couldn't have helped, but…" She looked up at Ella. "...talking about it really helps. Thank you."

Ella couldn't help but blush. "Well…I did have a good teacher." She then proceeded to boop Dawn on the nose.

The moonchild giggled at the gesture, which surprised her.

Confessional (Dawn): "This is a very new feeling for me. I mean, Ella is just so sweet and the way she comforts people is just so…well, comforting. And, oh my goddess, the way she rubs her hands through my hair is so…" She trailed off. "Wait, aren't I supposed to be helping her with something?"

Static

Topher was still running through the forest, barely able to follow Lightning. It was evident that he was getting tired.

Confessional (Topher): "I really need Lightning in this alliance. Not only just for numbers, but I play off of him pretty well as is, so this'll be great for my popularity."

Static

"Slow down, Lightning!" Topher called. "I need to talk to you!"

"Lightning ain't slowin' for nobody! He's gonna find that host lady and bring home the trophy!" He sped up and was soon out of Topher's sight.

The wannabe knew he couldn't catch up, so he stopped to catch his breath. "Maybe…maybe…I should…start things…with…Dakota. Better…get back…to her." He then slumped forward and onto the ground, exhausted.

Jo poked her head out of a bush. She looked around. She spotted a lake and saw someone. It wasn't Blaineley. But it was someone Jo was looking for.

She went up to him. "So-"

"I know what you're going to say." Brick interrupted, not even bothering to turn around. "We've been over this."

"W-What?" Jo stuttered, caught off guard. "How do you know I'm not here to help you search?"

Brick still wouldn't face her. "Because," He said pointedly. "If you were trying to find her, you'd be searching where Jasmine told you to search. We'll cover more ground if we're split up."

Jo perked up. "So what? I'm supposed to trust you when you're taking the side of that Aussie? What gives her the right to declare herself the leader? You saw how she shut Sky down."

"It doesn't matter. It's a good plan."

"Yeah, and how does she know where that MILF is?"

Brick nearly stumbled, then turned to face his teammate. "I'm…sorry, what did you just call her?"

"What? A MILF? A Middle-Aged Lonely Insecure Fool. What did you think I meant?"

Brick paused, briefly contemplating to himself. He shook his head. "N-Nothing."

"Whatever. The point is-"

"Hey, what are you doing?!"

Brick and Jo looked. Jasmine was heading towards them. And to Jo's dismay, she was heading in her direction. "Why are you here? I thought I told you we needed to split up."

Jo scoffed. "Yeah, I'm doing what you told us to do. I'm just helping my teammate with searching." She turned around, noticing Brick was facing away from them.

Jasmine glared down at her. "Brick doesn't need help. You need to get back to your section and keep searching. We'll cover more ground if we're split up."

The jockette opened her mouth, but then stopped herself. She thought to herself, before letting out a loud grunt. "Fine. I'll get to it." Jasmine watched as she walked away. She looked back at Brick, who noticed and gave an appreciative nod. The Aussie returned it and went away.

Confessional (Jo): "No way was I about to let that tall freak talk to me like that." She paused. "But…I can't risk painting a target on myself. If I talk back to our so-called leader, it might make me look bad. But, I will get her back. I just need to figure out how."

Static

Dave was alone in his section of the woods. He was looking around, but his mind was elsewhere.

Confessional (Dave): "I…screwed up…badly. No way Sky's gonna want to be around the guy who tried to speak up for her, and ended up costing her the leader spot. I've gotta find a way to talk to her, but she's so challenge obsessed I can't just walk up to her and say 'hey, why don't we put this challenge and talk about…' I don't know, what do girls like to talk about? My mom likes HGTV, maybe Sky is secretly a fan of Love It or List It."

Static

As he continued looking around, Dave spotted something. A small patch of yellow flowers. He examined them closely, an idea slowly forming in his head. He ripped a petal off and crushed it up. He looked at his hand, which was now stained in yellow. A grin formed along the black haired competitor.

Confessional (Dave): "Thank you, mom. Your constant forcing me to watch HGTV with you taught me all I needed to know about dye. Now Sky will have a reason to be with me." He paused, briefly considering his words. "Ok, that definitely sounded creepy."

Static

Lightning ran through the forest, looking all around for any sign of the missing host.

He didn't see a clearing within the forest that held the picnic area where Dawn and Ella sat.

Confessional (Dawn): "As much as I love this feeling, I need to remind myself why I'm doing this. I need to get Ella the help she needs."

Static

"So, Ella…" Dawn started. "I've been meaning to ask, aside from dancing with your mother, are there any other childhood memories you hold fondly?"

Ella perked up. "Oh, yes. I had a tape player with all these old Disney VHS tapes. My…father found it in the basement and we fixed it up together."

"Your…father?" Dawn questioned. "Forgive me, you haven't mentioned him before."

Ella gave a look of surprise. "O-Oh. I…I guess I just forgot." She smiled, but Dawn knew she might've hit a nerve. Ella continued. "Anyway, I used to watch the tapes all the time, every moment I got. Especially when…" She trailed off, her downcast look returning.

But Dawn knew what to do. "It's ok." She said abruptly. "What tapes were they?"

Ella took a breath. "Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid." She chuckled. "I can probably remember every song and every line from that movie."

Confessional (Dawn): "Ella seems to be really focused on these tapes. As much as it might hurt her, I really need her to open up more. We're so close to making progress."

Static

"What about moments when you weren't watching tapes?"

"Well…" Ella's voice quivered. "T-That was a large part of what I did. I didn't have any- many! Many friends…" She corrected herself. "So…a lot of my time was just watching the tapes and dancing with my…mother." She thought to herself. "I suppose there was Ms. Augestin."

"Who's that?"

Ella started hyperventilating. "She…she…she ran the…the…"

Dawn sighed and went up to her. "Ella, stop." Thinking quickly, she wrapped the fairytale princess in a hug. She felt Ella's breathing gradually grow slower. "It's ok." She whispered. "You're safe."

Ella let out a sigh and returned the hug. "Thank you." She said quietly.

Confessional (Dawn): "Ella is still clearly hurting and not allowing herself closure. As much as I love her hugs, we're too close to a breakthrough for me to just ignore it. But…I still really want her to be happy."

Static

"I saw it right here." Dave said, running through the woods, with Sky behind him. He looked around at the spot he had left and saw his little pile of fake hair. He had combined the yellow dye with some grass to make it seem like blond hair.

He smiled to himself as Sky inspected it. "I guess she might be around here. Weird how she lost so much hair, but maybe she left it here as a clue."

"Y-yeah, definitely." Dave agreed.

Sky stood up. "I think we should split up. I can go left, if you go-"

"Wait!" Dave said. "I think we'd have better odds if we stick together. I…saw a bear nearby and…I don't want to be alone."

Confessional (Dave): "That wasn't entirely a lie. I just hate being in the woods."

Static

Sky stared for a moment, before shrugging. The two walked in silence. Dave was trying his best to think of something to say. Sky was deep in thought however.

Confessional (Sky): "I guess being mad at Dave isn't fair. He probably didn't want an argument to break out. Maybe now might be my best chance to talk about how I'm feeling."

Static

Dave took a deep breath. "So-"

"Hey, you know Ella, right?" Sky interrupted.

Dave blinked. "Umm…the girl who thinks she's a princess? Yeah…?"

"Well, I don't know why I've been feeling this way, but…this is gonna sound weird, but…I'm kinda jealous of her. And I don't know why. I mean, it might have something to do with her mother, since I didn't really think much of her before she brought her up. But, that's still weird. I've never felt jealousy over someone's mother. I mean, I've been jealous of people before, but it's usually because they did better than me."

Dave opened his mouth to speak, but Sky wasn't done.

"Well, okay, there was Sally Maybright who I did way better than that one time, but that was…only after I saw her hugging her mom after the competition. I mean, I've been hugged by my mom before, but that was only…" She gasped. "...only after I won the competition. Dang it, maybe I am jealous of Ella's relationship with her mom."

"Well, I'm not a therapist…" Dave started.

Sky looked at him. "But…?"

"Oh, no. That was it."

The olympian sighed and looked away.

Dave realized he might've made a mistake. "Well, I don't know, do you hate your mother?"

"Of course not!" Sky yelled. "I don't hate my mom at all. She's helped me so much with training. She's basically my coach."

"Well…my mom likes the show 'Dance Moms' and…I wouldn't blame any of those kids for hating their moms after the dumpster fire they were put through."

Sky seemed to be thinking about what Dave said. Then she shook her head. "Well…that's different. I was older. I wanted to do gymnastics and mom made sure I didn't give up on it."

"Well…what do you do when you aren't practicing gymnastics?"

"Oh…I watch videos…on other gymnastics. I work out to keep myself in shape…for gymnastics." She tried to think of something else. "Oh, and I like to hang out with my friends."

Dave raised an eyebrow. "Are they…also doing gymnastics?"

Sky opened her mouth, but didn't say anything at first. "Well…one does track and field, but…yeah." Her shoulder slumped as it finally dawned on her. "Ok…I might have some slight resentment towards my mom for how much she's pushed me. N-Not that I blame her, it was my idea, but…maybe I just want her to not be constantly coaching me and actually be…my mom." She sat in silence as she contemplated what this meant.

Dave sat in silence, unsure of what to say.

Thankfully, Sky soon broke the silence. "Thanks…Dave." She smiled. "I didn't know I needed that."

The dark haired contestant blushed. "O-Oh, yeah. No…no problem."

"Man, I owe you big time." She paused then turned to her teammate. "Hey…you remember when we first got onto this island?"

"Y-Yeah?"

"I was thinking, why were you so mean to everyone? I get not wanting to be here and you're a lot nicer now, but why-"

"Nothing!" Dave said quickly. "Don't worry about it!" He walked away from Sky at a brisker pace. "Let's…keep looking for Blaineley."

Sky was surprised at Dave's sudden tone shift.

Confessional (Sky): "I was only trying to return the favor, but…I guess I really touched a nerve."

Static

Topher had just arrived back at the cabin, where he, predictably, found Dakota. She was sulking to herself on the steps. Before walking up to her, he put on his best concerned face. "Hey, Dakota." He said gently. "How are ya?"

The ex-mutant didn't respond, or even bother looking up.

Topher sighed. "I know you probably don't want to hear this from me, but-"

"I don't want to hear anything from anyone who gets Elvis and Michael Jackson mixed up." She snapped, finally meeting his gaze.

Topher held his tongue, annoyed that she was still holding that against him. He put on a worried expression. "Look, I know you don't like me right now, but during that challenge, I was trying to warn you about Zoey."

Now Dakota was interested. "Wha…how did you know about that?"

Topher scoffed. "I'm a Total Drama expert. I was just paying attention to how she was acting after Sam's elimination and I figured she must have had something to do with it."

Dakota was flabbergasted. "So…you were trying to warn me? Why?"

"Because I think you deserve it." Topher said. "After all you've been through, winning Total Drama would make up for everything. And with my help, I can make that a reality."

"So…you want to form an alliance?"

"Yes."

Dakota thought about it.

Confessional (Dakota): "Becoming a mutant, watching my boyfriend get eliminated twice, my so-called best friend lying to me…yeah, I do deserve it." She paused. "But…what about Dawn? I'd be going against her." She pondered for a moment, then shook her head. "Ya know what? She probably knew about Zoey too, but didn't tell me. I can't trust any of my 'friends' right now. So I guess my answer is…"

Static

"Alright. I'll join your alliance."

Topher beamed.

Confessional (Topher): "Yes! One down, one to go." He then thought about something. "I suppose Dakota's story of redemption might overshadow me taking out Scott…but I'll get to that later. Worst case scenario, I have to eliminate her at some point…just gotta make sure Scott tricks me into doing it. Can't take too big of a blow to my soon-to-be popularity."

Static

Jasmine was looking through a deep part of the woods. She was trying to focus on the challenge, but also thinking about something else.

Confessional (Jasmine): "I'm a little worried about Brick. Jo's definitely whispering into his ear about something. I know he knows better than to listen to her, but…" She sighed. "Yeah, I've gotta have a little faith in him."

Static

The tall aussie came across a tall tree and got an idea. She started to climb it. She scaled it, having no issue whatsoever. She soon reached a high point above the other trees and she looked around. She could see almost across the entire island…but no sign of Blaineley. She sighed and looked down. She was pretty high up.

Confessional (Jasmine): She was blushing. "I…thought about that one dream I had where Brick was super buff and saved me from falling…then I wondered what would happen if I jumped…and if he would save me…and then I realized…that was a really stupid idea." She sighed. "I need to get this under control."

Static

From the bottom of her tree, Lightning ran by, still on the lookout for the blonde intern. "You can run…but you can't outrun Lightning. And if you're hidin'...you can't do that either!" Again, he ran by the clearing that contained Dawn and Ella's picnic area.

"So…is there anything else you can tell me about your father?" Dawn asked

"Well…" Ella grew nervous again. "He's my father and he…found some tapes for me to watch."

"I know that Ella, but…" Dawn exhaled.

Confessional (Dawn): "This is really frustrating. Everytime I think we're making progress, something holds her back." She pondered. "I guess…I can't always play the therapist. Sometimes, I should just enjoy the moments I get to spend with her."

Static

Dawn looked up at the Newbie, who was still feeling uncomfortable about the question. She had an idea. The moonchild started humming.

Ella's nervousness slowly dissipated as she realized what Dawn was doing. Then, she recognized the tune. "That's 'Part of your World,' right?"

Dawn nodded, as she went on.

The fairytale princess beamed and decided to join in. She cleared her throat. "Look at this stuff, isn't it neat…?"

Dawn smiled at seeing Ella happy again, but her thoughts were very unsure about what she was doing.

Back at the cabins, one of the doors on the Rookies side opened. Scott stepped out and yawned.

Confessional (Scott): "Man, not having to be up to anything really frees up my schedule. I basically just napped the entire day. It was kinda nice."

Static

He walked down the steps and stretched his arms. Topher came running up to him. Scott didn't notice him at first.

"Hey…Scott." He greeted.

"Was up'?" The country boy asked, still stretching. "You find her yet?"

"No, not yet. I've been out there looking. Yup, just been looking for her." He gave a fake smile. "Just looking and nothing else…" He held his smile for a bit.

Scott turned and looked at him, confused.

Confessional (Scott): "Alright, I know he's up to something and it probably has to do with stabbing me in the back, but…I don't really think he's that much of a threat."

Static

Jo then appeared, having walked out the forest, grumbling to herself.

The two Rookies noticed. "Well, if it isn't your old teammate." Topher noted. "Maybe she knows-" He stopped himself, as Scott blatantly ignored him and walked up the jockette.

"What's up?" He asked.

Jo was puzzled. "Why…why do you care?"

"I've got nothing to do right now and I'm pretty sure you don't either."

"We're not on the same team anymore. Why should I trust you?"

"Do you trust me, more than our friend, Brick?"

The jockette was surprised. "How…?"

"I saw what happened between those two during the 'around the world' challenge. And I know you're smart enough to realize that you'd be an easy target on a new team, so you formed an alliance with Brick. But now that he's chasing after Jasmine, you want him to stop because you think it'll risk your chances of staying. Did I miss anything?"

Now Jo was stunned. "Wow. Gotta hand it to you, ginger snaps. That was pretty good."

"I'm good at smelling schemes. So, how's our friend been cooperating?"

"Terribly. Blunder from down under is on my tail and that drooling doofus is putty in her hands. He says he won't turn on me, but the more she's around him, the less I believe that."

Scott pondered. Then he smirked. "Alright, I think I have an idea."

"That quickly?"

"I said I was pretty good at this. Brick's got his code, right? Well, just use it against him. Force him to do something that he doesn't want to do, but has to because of his code. Like…voting off the girl he's into."

"How the hell am I supposed to do that? If I sabotage the team, it puts me at risk if I get caught. And right now, I can't afford to take that risk."

Scott just shrugged. "I'm sure you'll think of something." He then turned to walk away.

"Why are you doing this?" Jo asked. "Why not mess with someone on your own team?"

"Too easy." Scott asked plainly. "Most of my team is easy pickings at this point, so I'm just trying to make things a little interesting. I'll see ya around." With that, Scott walked into the forest, out of sight.

Jo watched him leave, pondering her next steps. Neither she nor Scott had realized that Topher was still there. Only, he was taking a bigger interest in Don's phone than anything else.

Dave and Sky were still walking through the forest. Though they were very quiet.

Sky looked over at her teammate, who was definitely trying not to face her. She sighed. "Hey, Dave." She said quietly. "I'm sorry…I didn't mean to hurt your feelings."

Dave was surprised. "I..well…I don't…it doesn't…" He grunted.

Confessional (Dave): "Wow, this is a new experience for me."

Static

"Well…you should know better. Whatever my business is, it's still…my business."

"You're right and I'm sorry for bringing it up. I just felt like with how you helped me, I should do the same."

"I didn't ask you to." Dave said defensively. "I was only trying to help you because I like you."

"I know you didn't ask but-" Sky stopped and looked at Dave. The black haired competitor was confused at her staring. "You…like me?"

Dave was still confused, until he realized what Sky was referring to. He stammered a response. "N-No, that's now what I…I didn't mean it like…what I meant was…" He grabbed his hair and let out a loud grunt. "Ok, fine!" He shouted. "I like you! A lot! You say nice things about me, you still stick around me despite me clearly not wanting anything to do with anyone and…I don't know, maybe it's because you're the closest thing to normal on this island, but…I still really like you, Sky!" He had to catch his breath.

The olympian was speechless. She just looked at Dave with a slack jawed look. Dave, meanwhile, was still trying to calm down. A part of him hoped that Sky would react nicely, but the other part had a feeling…

Sky sighed. "Dave…you're a really cool guy. I think you have a potential to do well here and…maybe I do like you." A hopeful look appeared on Dave's face. "But, only as an ally." And it disappeared. "It's not you. I told myself I wouldn't let any relationships or anything distract me from the competition. That's what I'm focused on. I'm sorry."

Dave tried to hide his disappointment. "N-No, it's okay. It was a stupid idea anyway."

"Dave, it wasn't stupid, you just-"

"I know. I know what you're here for." He started to walk away. "I don't blame you. You just want to win and focus on the competition, I get it. That's…fine. Sorry again." He then put all his focus on searching for Blaineley.

Sky looked uncomfortable, having a good idea what Dave was thinking. She felt bad, but…it's what she wanted.

Scott was still walking through the forest, not really looking for anyone, but wanting to seem like he was doing something.

Confessional (Scott): "Man, I've never really had…nothing to do. If I lay low, I should be safe, but even if I'm not, I still have…whatever his name is as an extra vote."

Confessional (Topher): He was scrolling through Don's phone, looking annoyed. "Was 13th seriously the best placement I got? I mean, it's nice to know they were wrong, but it still kinda hurt."

Static

As Scott continued walking, he failed to see the pile of leaves in front of him. He continued walking, when he stepped onto the leaves. As soon as he did, he fell through them. "WHAT THE-" He screamed.

He fell into a hole and landed with a thud. It wasn't that deep, but it still hurt. Scott rubbed his back, still confused over the whole thing.

"Vile wench!" He suddenly felt a stick poke him in the cheek. "Ow! Who's-" He got poked again.

"You fell into my trap!" Max said, who had camouflage painted over his face. His lab coat was also partly torn. "Now suffer my wrath!" He raised his stick up and swung at Scott.

The country boy covered himself, as the onslaught of the stick continued. "Hey, what are you doing!?"

Max stopped for a second and looked down. He scoffed. "Well, Scarlett, your costume is indeed impressive, but as expected, I can see right through it. Your red hair is still visible."

"I'm not Scarlett!" Scott screamed. "I'm a dude."

"In a disguise!" Max pointed his stick. "But, if your claim is true, you wouldn't be carrying a death ray in your back packet!" He jumped in and reached into Scott's back pocket. He found something and pulled it out. "Aha. A little puff cloud of death. You must've been waiting to throw this at me."

Scott gave him a dull glare. "It's lint."

Max blinked, then looked down at what he was holding. "Oh." He paused for a few seconds, before glaring at the country boy. "Well, what are you doing here?! You just exposed my hiding spot!"

From just outside the hole, a loud THWACK could be heard. Scott crawled out of the hole, rubbing his wrist, looking annoyed.

The interns were gathered around a house near the beach. They all looked nervous. One of them had just arrived.

"So…still nothing?"

A skinny intern shook her head. "The lights are still off and I haven't heard a thing."

"Well, why don't we just knock?"

"The last time I knocked on her door, she berated me for twenty minutes. I'm not going through that again."

"Well, it's either she's pissed now or she wakes up pissed after realizing she missed the entire day."

"They still think it's a challenge, right?"

"Yeah, but if they don't find her, they'll be upset."

"Well, at least it won't be at us."

The interns considered this. The chubby one spoke. "So…we have nothing to lose, right?"

"I guess…" Dory considered. "Let her take the blame when-"

WHAM

The door suddenly opened and slammed into Dory's face. A very groggy Blaineley walked out. She was still wearing her red dress, though it had some stains on it and her blonde hair was completely messed up. She did not look happy. "Keep it down!" She said grumpily.

"Mil-Blaineley!" One of the interns said. "You're up!"

"Of course, I am." She yawned. "You're making all this racket, when I'm trying to sleep."

"But it's four o'clock…"

"Why are you making so much noise at four in the morning?!"

The interns all shared a look, then turned to the host. "No…four in the afternoon."

Blaineley blinked. Then she looked up. She winced as the brightness came into her view.

"How…long were you asleep for?" The skinny intern asked.

"The…the same amount of time I normally sleep." Blaineley said defensively.

"So…why were you sleeping for so long?"

Blaineley thought back about what happened last night.

(Start of flashback)

In a dimly lit room, Blaineley was sitting on a coach, holding a big glass of wine, with a goofy smile on her face. The light of the TV was reflecting across her face. The footage that was playing was short clips featuring Chris and Don being the host of their respective shows.

She took a swig from her glass and laughed. "You…you two think you're so good." She stumbled on her words. "I-I don't…I don't think…the producers…knew how good they had it with me. That's…that's why I'm here…you're in jail and you're…" She chuckled to herself. "I don't know…but you're not here." She stood up and walked towards the TV, albeit, very shakily. "I know what's good for this show…I know how to get ratings and you…and you…don't. I'm blaner…blanerif…blane…bla…bl…" She chuckled again to herself, before promptly losing all motor functions and passing out, with a loud thud onto the floor.

(End of flashback)

Blaineley realized the huge mistake she had made. But…she wasn't about to admit it just yet. "W-Well…why didn't any of you wake me up? I was clearly not going to do it myself, so why didn't you say anything?"

"Because the last time one of us woke you up, you threatened to break every bone in our bodies."

Blaineley stammered. "That's…no excuse. There's a lot of you here. At least one of you can afford to wear a body cast."

At that moment, Lightning ran by. He looked over at Blaineley and the interns and continued. Then it dawned on him. He stopped, turned around and ran towards the house. "Hey!" He yelled. Everyone turned. Lightning pointed. "There you are! Lightning found you!"

Blaineley stared. "What?"

"Lightning found you. He found you before anyone else. So Lightning wins the challenge, right?"

One of the interns stepped forward. "Actually, we-"

Blaineley put her hand over his mouth. "Actually! You are correct, Lightning. You and your team win the challenge…for finding me."

The Megajock pumped his arm. "Yeah! Sha-Bam!" He then looked at the host again. "So what does Lightning win?"

The blonde host's expression fell. "Ummm…let me go get it." She then bolted back into the house. A series of muffled noises followed, with things moving around and falling over.

While this was going on, Brick had arrived and saw Lightning and the interns. "What's going-"

Blaineley suddenly appeared again, holding a whole bunch of towels. None of them were folded. "Here you go." She handed them to Lightning.

The megajock looked at his 'prize' and smirked. "Lightning is going to cherish this…and probably rub it in Jo's face." He then bolted off.

Brick was still confused. "So…Lightning and the Rookies won?"

"Yes." Blaineley said abruptly. "They win, you guys lose. I'll…see you tonight at the elimination ceremony. Tell everyone!" And she slammed the door hard.

Brick sighed, then went off to find his team.

Brick soon found out about the loss and was finding other teammates to let them know. He soon found one and explained the situation.

"Bugger!" Jasmine said. "I was sure we'd find her at some point."

Brick nodded in agreement.

Jasmine stretched. "Well, I'm gonna go back to the cabin. I could use a nap." She waved as she headed off.

"I'll see you later." Brick said, then sighed longingly.

"You feeling alright?"

Brick turned to see Jo heading towards him. He immediately looked away. "If you're here to convince me to vote for Jasmine, I don't-"

"Relax, Brick. I'm not here to…" Then Jo had a thought.

Confessional (Jo): She grinned devilishly. "Oh…I have an idea."

Static

"Actually, when you think about it, she's exactly who we should be voting for." Jo explained.

Brick faced her, puzzled. "How? What did she do that cost us the win?"

"Well, think about it. Her plan had us looking in the wrong place. If none of us found it after searching, then we were clearly looking in the wrong place."

"But that isn't Jasmine's fault." Brick countered. "She couldn't have known where Blaineley was hiding."

"Ok, but didn't she shoot down Sky's plan? And take over for her as leader, without anyone being allowed to say something?"

Brick stammered. "I-I…well…we don't know Sky's plan would've been better."

"That doesn't matter. She can't declare herself leader and then avoid the consequences. And how do we know the same thing won't happen again. Are you going to say 'oh, she didn't know' when her leadership costs us another challenge?" Brick didn't respond. Jo had him and knew it. "And besides, even if I am wrong about all of that, you still owe me a vote." She held out her hand. "So does your word mean nothing or do you actually stand by what you say?"

Brick stared. He thought about what Jo was saying, but also what this meant for him and Jasmine. Would she still respect him even if he voted her off? It was a good reason, he supposed. And Jo was right. He still owed her one.

He sighed and extended his hand. The two shook on it. Jo smirked.

Confessional (Brick): "I really hope no one else votes for Jasmine. I don't know what I'd do if she ended up getting the boot."

Confessional (Jo): "Scott…you're a genius."

Static

Dawn was still sitting in the picnic area. She was sitting in the middle of the blanket, with Ella resting her head on her lap. The fairytale princess was napping peacefully, as Dawn gently stroked her hair.

The moon child couldn't help but smile at the innocence that laid before her. But, at the same time, her thoughts were clouded.

She sighed. "I want to help you. You need it and you deserve to feel happiness. You shouldn't let the pain of your past control your every waking move. You should embrace it as a part of yourself. You should allow yourself closure of…whatever happened to you." She paused. "But…I know this might also hurt you and I don't want to see you suffer. It's hard enough seeing such a lovely, understanding and beautiful girl have a mental breakdown because she's too scared to confront her past. I know it's hard and I want to be there for you, but…the thought of you being sad is eating me alive. I know you're hurting and -I know this is going to sound terrible- so am I. Not as much obviously, but wanting to help you, while also wanting to make you happy isn't…I can't have both. Unless…" She looked down again at the still sleeping Ella. "I'm not giving up on you. Not just because you're so close, but because…" She leaned closer and whispered. "…I love you."

The Newbies were soon called to the elimination ceremony. Brick was the last to arrive. Jasmine came running up to him. "Hey, where were you?" She said quietly. "I couldn't find you after the challenge ended."

Brick gulped. "I…I went for a run afterwards and…I guess I didn't see you." He chuckled nervously.

Confessional (Brick): "It technically isn't a lie. I did go for a run. Well, it was more like a walk, with bursts of running…away…from someone."

Static

"Alright, look." Jasmine hooked her arm around Brick's neck and pulled him close, which caused the cadet to blush. "We should vote for Jo. She was the one who broke off from where was supposed to search."

Brick bit tongue to prevent himself from speaking.

Confessional (Brick): "That makes sense, but…if Lightning found her in the host house, it was on the other side of the island from where we were searching. Which…none of us knew about, so I can't really blame Jasmine, but…I already made the deal with Jo and I can't break it." He grunted in frustration.

Static

Jasmine gave him a hard pat on the shoulder and went off to the stumps. "Voting time!" Blaineley called.

Confessional (Max): He was holding a frying pan, cautiously looking around. He also was sporting a black eye. "I suppose my vote would have to go to someone who couldn't possibly protect from that she-devil's onslaught...and possibly that violent ginger." He crossed Dave's name off.

Confessional (Ella): She sighed longingly. "I'm voting for myself. It wouldn't really be fair because I didn't help in the challenge." She sighed again and smiled. "Even though I don't regret it."

Static

"Alright, let's get moving. If I call out your name, you're safe" Blaineley said, as she was about to pass out marshmallows. "Brick…Sky…Max…Ella…Dave…" The black haired competitor received his marshmallow, not noticing Max's cold glare in his direction. Blaineley smirked. "And with that, we come to our final two." Jasmine looked over at Jo. She was admittedly surprised to be in the bottom two, but didn't think much of it. "The final marshmallow goes to…

"...Jo."

The jockette gladly received her treat. Brick felt a large lump in his throat. Jasmine…was speechless. "W-Wait, what? I…how did I get voted off?"

"Well, you received more votes than anyone." Blaineley noted. "That's how it works."

"But, who voted for me?" She stood up.

Blaineley opened her mouth, but stopped herself. Then a devious grin formed across her face. "How about…I show you?" She pulled out a remote and a TV dropped next to her. Brick felt like he was about to have a heart attack. The screen went static, until it showed the first voting confessional.

Confessional (Jo): "What happened today is on you." She crossed off Jasmine's name.

Confessional (Dave): He sighed. "I guess I'll vote for Jasmine. Maybe with her gone, Sky can focus on other things…like me, maybe. I know she doesn't like me back, but…maybe this'll make her feel better." He crossed off Jasmine's name.

Confessional (Brick): The cadet just stared at his elimination sheet, silently. Without saying a word, he shamefully crossed off Jasmine's name.

Static

"Juicy…" Blaineley said.

Sky was surprised. She looked over at Dave, who was desperately trying to cover himself. He really needed a distraction.

Thankfully, he was about to get one.

"You!?" Jasmine shot a betrayed look at Brick. "You voted for me?"

"I…" Brick struggled to speak. "I'm sorry."

"Sorry?!" Now Jasmine was getting angry. "You're sorry?! For breaking your code?! For lying to me!?"

"I-I mean, I didn't break my code, technically. We were looking on the wrong side of the island and-"

"I didn't know where it was!"

"Y-Yeah, but shouldn't the leader be the most responsible for our loss?" He smiled nervously. The aussie just stared at Brick. This time, with a look of absolute betrayal. "Listen, I-"

"Save it!" Jasmine stood up. "I don't want to ever hear from you again! I thought you were better than this. I thought maybe you were better than Jo. But, I guess I was wrong."

Jo scoffed. "Yeah, nobody's better than me."

Thankfully, Jasmine was too mad at Brick to hear that. She turned and stomped away. "Let's get this over with. The sooner I'm gone from here the better." She said to Blaineley.

The blonde host smirked. "Well, actually, Brick wasn't the only one who lied." Jasmine raised an eyebrow. "I neglected to tell any of you that…this was a non-elimination round. Jasmine…is staying here."

Everyone let out a gasp.

Confessional (Blaineley): "And, for the record, this is not because I may, or may not, have slept the entire day and that I may, or may not, have actually had a challenge planned and just pretended to have one and that I want to avoid potential fan backlash. Just wanted to clarify."

Static.

"Well, hey that's good." Brick said, walking up to her. "Maybe we can talk about this and-"

"It doesn't change anything!" Jasmine snapped. "You still tried to vote me off. I'm not going to forget that any time soon." Like before, she stormed off.

"Well I, for one," Max said. "Am very glad that you and your rage induced tendencies are here to stay." But Jasmine walked right by him, without saying a word.

The rest of the competitors started leaving too. Jo smirked to herself.

Only Brick was left, alone. He sighed sadly as he took a seat on the stump.

The camera cut to Blaineley, standing on the dock. "And it looks like Jasmine is staying another day. Though, with a whole new lease on life. And, by life, I mean Brick. And, by lease, I mean huge amounts of anger. What's in store for them and everyone else? We'll find out. On the next episode of Total…Drama…Omega!"

So I actually had a debate if this was going to be the next chapter or the next one (#13) would be. Mainly because I thought people would be kinda disappointed to have two non-elimination chapters so close to each other. But, as long as you were entertained by it, I guess it doesn't matter that much. Rest assure, next chapter will see someone going home.

No elimination yet, but plenty of stuff to look out for. I'll see you in the next one which…might take a bit longer since I'm going back to my non-summer job. I'll try my best, but no guarantees it'll be out soon.

Also my birthday is Tuesday! I'll see y'all in the next one. Ciao.
