CHAPTER V: THE REVEAL
Sankira's heart swelled with hope as he conversed with his brother, letting in a newfound harmony between them. He marveled at how quickly they had connected, grateful for the unexpected rapport they had established. It was a relief to envision a future where he could live peacefully with his brother and perhaps even train together. He was inspired by Kawaki's formidable fighting style, which had vanquished Isshiki. Despite their different personalities, Sankira had always admired his brother's skills. Little did he know that their consolidation was about to take an unforeseen turn.
As Kawaki's voice dropped to a whisper, an eerie sensation washed over Sankira, replacing his previous ease with unease. The air grew dense, making it difficult to breathe, intensifying the oppressive atmosphere of the Forest of Death. Was it the foreboding nature of their surroundings? Or was something more sinister emanating from Kawaki?
His gaze shifted downwards, his eyes tightly shut, and his lips moved, uttering something Sankira couldn't or shouldn't decipher. A wave of apprehension gripped Sankira, contrasting sharply with the moment of tranquility they had just shared. Something had changed, and it filled him with discomfort and nervousness.
Kawaki lifted his head, fixing Sankira with a mocking smile that didn't reach his eyes.
"You know, Sankira," he began, his tone laced with derision. "We could have been great brothers," he continued, his forced grin faltering briefly. "If not for that wretched entity dwelling within you..."
Those words hung in the air, unraveling the truth behind their fragile bond. Sankira's heart skipped a beat as Kawaki leaped away, creating distance between them. Pointing an accusing finger at Sankira, he spoke with a menacing edge.
"For you possess one of Ōtsutsuki's, the Ten-Tails, you must now… DIE!"
