Belle was walking across the courtyard of Winterfell, having come from the library tower, and now she was walking back to the Gold house, which Rumplestiltskin had placed on the outskirts of the Godswood. From the top balcony of the Gold house, which was also combined with the Pawn Shop from Storybrooke, one could enjoy the peaceful view of the towers, the Godswood and the surrounding landscape. It was something that Belle had enjoyed since coming to the Seven Kingdoms, especially when she found a good book to read while sipping tea.

However, it was not like any other day. As she was crossing the courtyard, something caught the corner of her eye. She stopped and turned, where she saw two people standing still. She blinked. It couldn't be. She ran over to them. "Rumple?" she called out. Rumplestiltskin looked at Belle and joined her, wrapping his arms around her. "Rumple? What are you doing here? Is everything okay?"

Rumplestiltskin looked over at her and shook his head. "No, Belle. Nothing is okay."

Belle looked at him with a tilt of her head and frowned. "What happened?" she asked. "Who's this?"

But before Rumplestiltskin could answer her, Maester Luwen came up to them. "Lady Stark?" he asked. "What brings you here?"

Catelyn looked up and around at her surroundings. She wasn't at the Twins anymore. She was back home. Her home of the North. Winterfell. "I'm sorry. It's just that everything has changed so suddenly," she said, her voice wavering. "We were at the Twins, and now … Now we're here."

Rumplestiltskin gripped Belle's hand tightly as he exchanged a worried glance with Catelyn. "Yes, you are," he softly replied. "You're back at Winterfell. You've been through quite an ordeal. You're safe now. The protection spell I placed over the walls protects anyone here. There'll be no danger here."

Catelyn nodded, but she then remembered the recent events of what had happened. The slaughter of the Northern army by the Freys. And Robb and Talisa … their lifeless bodies on the ground and blood pouring out of them. "Robb … Talisa … They're gone, aren't they?" she asked, as she felt her eyes well up in tears, and she collapsed onto her knees.

Maester Luwen looked down at Catelyn and began to understand what had happened. "Master Robb didn't make it, did he?"

Rumplestiltskin shook his head. "I'm afraid not. The North lost. All thanks to Walder Frey and Roose Bolton. It seems they allied with the Lannisters." He let out a sigh. "It's been a long day. Take Lady Stark to her chambers. We'll talk more tomorrow."

Maester Luwen nodded, and he helped Catelyn up. "Some warm tea might help, too," he said.

Catelyn looked over at the Maester and nodded slowly. "Yes, you're right. I … I need to gather my thoughts."

Rumplestiltskin looked over at Catelyn. "We'll be here for you," he said, giving her a small smile. "You're not alone. And I promise you, they will pay for what they've done."

"Thank you, Rumplestiltskin," Catelyn told him before letting Maester Luwen guide her back to her old room.

Belle watched as Catelyn and Maester Luwen disappeared into the Great Keep before turning around to look at Rumplestiltskin. "What actually happened?"

"The Freys, the Boltons, the Lannisters, it appears … They were all working together to stop the Starks. And they did. The wedding we were at turned out to be a trap. One that we all walked into. Oh, Belle, I should have seen it coming."

Belle frowned. "What can we do, Rumple?"

"We need allies if we are to fight back. Let everyone know that Winterfell still stands. We need to rally anyone who still believes in justice and expose the Lannisters, the Freys and Boltons for what they are."

"What about Daenerys?" Belle asked.

"Oh, she's still too weak for what we need. That's why I allied myself with Robb in the first place. He was young, which made him malleable. If everything had gone as planned, he would have been able to ally with her when the time came, and he would have fought alongside her in the upcoming battle. We need strong allies, Belle. And she needs the Seven Kingdoms united as one behind her if we hope to defeat what is coming."

Belle nodded. "We've faced challenges before, Rumple," she told him. "We can do it again."

Rumplestiltskin nodded. "You're right, sweetheart. We have faced worse odds and come out victorious. We need to be patient and methodical."
