Bhu'ja had been hunting now for several hours.

And so far, within that time, he maybe killed to animals that were pretty challenging and took two new trophies. But for some reason, he found himself to be a bit disappointed.

He didn't think the trophies would be good enough as a gift to Raelyn.

'I can't imagine where all the cy'wyr and drag'gos went. You would think there was a sign somewhere that said, 'Danger, Hunters are currently out hunting'.' He sarcastically thought.

He hadn't had any luck finding either of those two animals.

He did find a couple of gri'stei though. And he currently had both of their skulls in his possession, tied to his belt. One of which was fairly big.

Bhu'ja didn't have much time to think about what else he could hunt at this time.

When the young Arbitrator caught wind of something big approaching in the distance. By the sound of its large, echoing footsteps, it was big. And there were only a couple known animals that reach considerable sizes like this.

He cloaked himself and stealthily made his way through the trees in the direction he heard the imposing footsteps.

It took him a few minutes, before he finally got to the source. And what he did see, made a large grin appear on his face.

Before him, eating a large dead grazer, was none other than the ferocious un'jiwe. The one animal that he was just telling Raelyn about a few days prior upon landing here.

The large t-rex like creature was too busy digging into its meal to notice the hunter watching it close by from the trees.

From what he could see, it was a large, adult male. It stood seven meters high and was about twelve meters long. And he couldn't help but shudder in anticipation.

A un'jiwe to most was difficult to take down by one hunter alone. Some would call it suicide. But that was usually in the instance of younger, less experienced warriors.

Still, most experienced ones would still think twice about pursuing the challenge on their own.

Bhu'ja believes if anyone can do it though, he can. He's brought down a couple beasts around this size before in the past on his own. One of which, was a hard meat queen which was roughly around the same size as an un'jiwe.

Not to mention, an un'jiwe was not nearly as bright as a hard meat queen.

The t-rex like animal was driven way more by instincts than anything else. And that alone made them less than original thinkers as far as animals go.

He could almost imagine now how good that skull will look among his collection. But most of all, it would be a perfect gift for Raelyn.

'Looks like my luck has finally changed.' The young Arbitrator thought.

Bhu'ja looked around, looking for the best place to strike, and what strategy to best use while engaging with a creature that was easily three to four times his size.

Meanwhile with Raelyn, she was enjoying her time beneath the shade of the trees as she leaned back against the trunk of one next to a large boulder right up against the pond and one of the two waterfalls.

She was using her leather bag as a cushion for her back against the rough bark of the tree. While her weapons and mask were set off to her side right next to her right thigh.

The young woman had her hands folded in her lap and her legs were resting out in front of her, crisscrossed at the ankles.

Not that long ago, she removed her sneakers and hiked up her knee-length skirt loincloth a little and went into the water up to her knees. Though after a few minutes, she just said fuck it and let her skirt drop.

Who cares if the bottom of it got a little wet. It will dry in this heat eventually.

The water was nice and cool too, which made it feel even better against her heated skin. And as she looked down into the crystal-clear blue water, she could see her feet on the soft dirt bottom and the little alien fish swimming around and between her legs.

Some of the fish were brightly colored and looked very exotic.

And as she leaned back against the tree, she couldn't help but think this was a good idea after all. Plus, judging by the position of the large sun in the sky, she still had quite some time before she would have to go back to the ship.

Hopefully, she can get there before Bhu'ja does. Because she can't help but feel he may not be too happy to hear she ventured out on her own like this. Even if she technically wasn't all that far from the ship.

A small tinge of guilt hit her when he told her not to leave the ship while he was gone. And she did exactly the opposite and left.

But she got very bored being cooped up on the ship for the last few hours. And she's unsure how long their trip here was going to be and wanted to spend as much time as possible out on land, before they had to leave for space again.

'I just need to be sure to keep an eye on the sun. Once it starts getting lower through the trees, that's when I know I need to start heading back.' She thought.

It was only a few minutes after that thought, did she hear some rustling through the thick foliage followed by a few grunts.

There was a disturbance across the pond and a little below her position on the ground. And it made her tense up a little.

Raelyn quietly grabbed her mask and put it on. Then she grabbed her combi stick, laid on the boulder and did a slow army crawl to the edge of it.

Once she got there, she put in the infrared setting on her mask and looked in the direction the disturbance was coming from as it grew louder.

She made out not one, but three large shapes trudging through the foliage towards the pond. And once they broke through the bushes, she switched her vision mode back to human vision.

Raelyn let out a sigh of relief.

The young woman has seen these creatures before during a couple of her walks through these woods with Bhu'ja. They were something called mor'guru. He stated they were grazers or herbivores.

But being the size of a minivan is what sometimes made them dangerous. If provoked or threatened, they will charge you in an attempt to run you over with their large, heavy bulk.

But if you kept your distance and didn't show you were a threat, they basically ignored you or left you alone.

Thankfully, the boulder she was on was pretty high up. It was taller than the actual animals themselves. So, she was looking down at them from several feet up.

Raelyn was quite safe up there as they made their way to the water's edge to drink.

Bhu'ja was huffing and puffing a little and had received some new injuries that were bound to leave a couple good scars. But he was very happy.

He had been successful in his hunt with the un'jiwe.

It was a little tricky and quite challenging. The large male had not been happy at all at being disrupted from his meal when Bhu'ja decided to attack it.

The young Arbitrator used the foliage as cover as he ran about attacking it. First, he threw some of his throwing knives at its base to make it aware of his presence.

Then from there, he scaled a tall tree to the creature's right. And while it was busy looking around for the threat, Bhu'ja gave a running jump off of one of the sturdy branches onto the back of the un'jiwe down below.

It bellowed in rage and surprise when something landed on its back.

The animal tried to shake Bhu'ja off. But the young Arbitrator dug his claws into its thick, leathery hide. He then pulled out his combi stick and thrusted it into its back.

The un'jiwe roared in pain and anger, and again, tried to shake off the hunter.

When that didn't work, it dropped to the ground and try to roll him off its back. And that's when Bhu'ja had to jump off of it and back onto the ground, so it didn't crush him under its weight.

Bhu'ja stood up with his arms out to his side and bellowed out his own challenging roar to the large carnivore.

It roared back and then lunged forward with its large jaws wide open. And the pale yautja quickly dove out of the way before he became the creature's next meal.

After he rolled, he quickly shot to his feet and whipped out another throwing knife.

With precision, he threw it at one of the creature's small yellow eyes. It made contact as it sliced through the sensitive orb and the un'jiwe pulled back roaring in pain. It then clawed at its face trying to remove the protruding blade from its eye socket while dark green blood continued to gush from it.

The battle lasted for nearly twenty minutes. And within that time, Bhu'ja had sustained some injuries from the animal's long sharp claws. It even batted him, sending him flying through the air several feet.

He landed on dirt and grass, sliding back several feet before he came to a stop. It smarted quite a bit. But he had to quickly shake the pain off because the un'jiwe came charging at him.

Bhu'ja stood there in a crouching position and waited.

Once it was close enough and it lunged at him with open jaws, he jumped up high in the air and over its head and body. While airborne hi quickly repositioned his combi stick.

Then he arched his back and arms back and drove the combi stick deep into the back of its neck until the end came out through the front of its neck.

Again, it roared in pain and shock as its throat was impaled. Dark green blood was spurting rapidly from the grievous wound. And soon, the animal started to choke on its own blood.

Bhu'ja extended his wrist blades and started to jab them repeatedly into the side of the un'jiwe's neck to speed up its impending death.

He was practically showered in the animal's blood as it kept gushing out through each new would he made from his wrist blades. Until the animal ceased its fighting and flailing completely, and dropped to the ground with a loud, heavy thud.

Afterwards, the young Arbitrator stood up on its back and roared his victory to the sky.

The battle was exhilarating and provided him with the challenge he needed. And he won his prize, the un'jiwe's impressive eight-foot-long skull.

And at the moment, he was all smiles as he dragged the severed head behind him.

At this point, he was done for the day. And he needed to get this trophy back to his ship to have it stripped and cleaned properly. It was too big to use the gas tubes on to strip it of flesh and tissue.

So, everything had to be done at the ship. And he needed to bring it back now before scavengers or other carnivores may see it as an easy meal.

Bhu'ja was a little more than halfway back to his ship when his sensitive hearing picked up a soft hum in the wind.

He paused for a moment and looked up into the sky. About a minute later, he saw a ship descend and uncloak itself.

The pale yautja watched as it started to lower itself to the ground. It was a descent size ship. Though only a little bigger than his own. And he didn't like that it seemed to be landing not all that far from where his ship was.

A bad feeling sunk into the pit of his stomach. And he couldn't seem to shake it.

So, he picked up the pace and started to run back with his trophy trailing behind him. Right now, he just wanted to get back to Raelyn as quickly as possible.

Until Next Time ;)
