The latest three planets on her list had proven to be just as free of drone factories as the 32 she had been to before. One looked like someone had shot it to smithereens a few millennia ago, the second had clearly been cleaned out by someone a long time ago, and while the third had been intact and had a lot of still operational technology it wasn't something she could use against the Wraith. At least not as far as she was able to understand.

The Expedition might be interested in checking it out once things calmed down. If she played her cards right it might work as a peace offering since they were in Pegasus looking for technology. As she understood it, the outpost was functional if mostly powered down aside from the bare essentials. Dr. McKay and his science minions could probably get something useful out of it.

It had garnered her a list of more planets though, and she had decided to check them out once she had gone through the extensive list Janus had given her before she had placed herself in the status chamber in Atlantis. For now, though, this trip off-world had been a bust and it was time to return to Atlantis to see if the team who had gone to the satellite had managed to shoot down the three Hive Ships and if they were back yet.

As she got closer to the Astria Porta she sent a mental command to the built-in computer in one of her bracers. It was one of Janus' modified inventions. The Alterrans used much simpler-looking ones, mostly ones that appeared to be decorations like bracelets or the like. She had a few of those as backups, or in case she had to be in situations where looking like she was expecting trouble would be a bad idea.

He had specifically made them for her since he knew she wasn't very tech-savvy, and he had also strengthened them so they wouldn't be destroyed while she was fighting, or by mother nature somehow. It was a pretty amazing invention, and one none of the Expedition members suspected of being anything other than what it looked like on the surface.

Her mind was on the failed mission to find the drone factory, so it took her several steps into Central Control before she realized there were a lot of strangers there in full military gear and multiple pallets with who-knew-what on them. Major Sheppard, Dr. Weir, Dr. McKay, and Lt. Ford were standing in front of the stairs up to the Control Room.

Right in front of them was who appeared to be the head grunt in charge of the new people, and what was more telling was the less-than-happy expressions on the face of the Atlantis leadership. Wonderful. She pasted on a neutral expression and walked confidently over to the small group.

"What's going on, and who are these people?" She might've sounded less than professional in the last half, but she had made it abundantly clear how she felt about the military, and these people reminded her of Colonel McNamara. Which was of the bad.

She'd made eye contact with Dr. Weir, but it was the new grunt who replied.

"Who is this and how did she get into Atlantis without anyone lowering the shield?"

Dr. Weir made the smart decision and answered the Slayer rather than the newcomer. "This is Colonel Dillon Everett. He and his men just arrived from Stargate Command to save us from the Wraith."

She looked annoyed at the man in question before returning her attention to Buffy. Ignoring the puffed-up soldier for the moment, Buffy asked another question. "How did it go with the satellite?"

"It went great!" McKay actually gave a loop-sided grin. "We got more than enough time to familiarize ourselves with the systems, run diagnostics, and make sure it was all in working order. Shot down all three Hive Ships and saved the day!" He smirked at her a little as he said, "You're welcome."

Buffy gave him a genuine smile. "Great job, Dr. McKay. Did you find anything else interesting up there?"

"Someone answer my question!" Everett actually growled in a loud voice, which, immature much?

"Colonel Everett, this is Buffy Summers. We found her in a stasis chamber here in Atlantis a few weeks ago. She had been there for as long as the alternate version of me, 10,000 years, even living with the Ancient for several years."

The man's eyes narrowed toward her as he asked suspiciously in a slightly less hostile tone, "Are you an Ancient?"

"No, but I do have what your people are calling the ATA gene, and it's strong enough that I have full control of Atlantis. So unless you want to get kicked out you better curb your attitude because I really don't like the military and you're pushing all the wrong buttons with your bad manners and testosterone high."

Dr. Weir interfered in what promised to be a spectacular argument and actually managed to get through to the new officer. "Miss Summers is right, and she has the permission of the Ancients to live here, and as she has pointed out to us several times; we don't. She has also been kind enough to allow us to borrow three fully-charged ZPMs so we can defend the City."

What followed after that was a quick run-down of how she had gotten a hold of the incredibly rare power sources, if she could get more, and exactly how she had proven to the Expedition that she really could kick them out if she was so inclined.

"Maybe we should take this to Elizabeth's office instead of having this... conversation right in front of the Stargate?" Major Sheppard gave the rest of the Atlantis management and his newly arrived superior officer a subtle nod toward everyone else there who was shamelessly listening in on everything they were saying.

Soon thereafter they were all trooping up the stairs and into Dr. Weir's office. It gave her the upper hand in some ways, but Everett didn't show any discomfort or try to make her get out of her comfy office chair. He got a minor point for that. Buffy made sure she got a chair where she sat with her back to the wall and also so she could easily see both the door and out the window and down to Central Control.

While everyone else got seated she sent a command to the bracer so the windows would become opaque, she also locked the door. Weir and Sheppard gave the windows a slightly startled look but hid it quickly. The others didn't appear to notice, and Everett pointedly didn't comment.

"The bottom line," Buffy began, "Is that Atlantis is my City and while I am allowing the Expedition from Earth to live and operate here, they are only allowed to do so as long as they keep within certain guidelines. Dr. Weir and Major Sheppard can give you the proper rundown, but the major points are this: Atlantis is mine and I have the final say. Don't do anything to try and control me or anyone else who is not from your Earth, there will be no unsanctioned experiments on anyone, anyone who comes to Atlantis needs to be approved by me, and anyone who causes problems need to be removed. If the leadership here doesn't do it then I will.

"The ZPMs belong to me, and I decide if they get used and for how long."

She was about to continue when a thunk was heard from the direction of the door, followed by frantic knocking. Major Sheppard got up, presumably to open it, but she sent a command to the door so it would be unsealed and it slid open. Dr. Zelenka entered the room slightly confused.

"Door was locked! Why was the door locked?"

"Nevermind that. What's so important?" McKay gave him an impatient look, "Summers was giving Everett the she's in charge speech, and you interrupted it."

Zelenka blinked owlishly behind his glasses, clearly decided he wanted nothing to do with that, and began talking rapidly, "We recalibrated the deep-space sensors and there are 12 Hive Ships on the way!"

Weir straightened up even more in her chair, "When will they be here?"

"If they keep their course and speed, they'll be here in about 74 hours."

Everyone was looking around the room worriedly, but the little Czech scientist wasn't done. "There is also another ship heading for Atlantis. Ship is giving off IFF."

"That'll be the Deadalus. They have a ZPM, and they're also bringing supplies and personnel."

It was Buffy's turn to look annoyed. "No one else is setting foot in my City without having a good reason to do so, because this is getting ridiculous."

"Can they at the very least unload their supplies?" Weir looked mildly pleading. "I'm sure someone will have thought of bringing coffee." Okay, that did sweeten the deal, and she might've complained a little too loudly when she realized they had run out of the precious and oh-so-very delicious liquid shortly after she woke up.

"Fine. Unload supplies as long as there's coffee for me, medical stuff for the doctors, and TP for all."

Sheppard gave a slightly immature, but very amused snicker over by the door. That earned him a glare from the other officer in the room, which caused him to promptly sort of straighten up from his slumped position. McKay was even more enthusiastic about the coffee than she was, and that did say a lot. But then again, scientists running on coffee, stubbornness, and great ideas were a thing for a reason.

"What about the 12 Hive Ships," Colonel Everett inquired. "Do they know Atlantis is still here?"

"We don't know, but we have to assume they do, but hopefully they don't know about the satellite."

Buffy was thinking hard, this was strongly beginning to remind her of the siege the Wraith had held over Atlantis ten millennia before. "Even if we manage to destroy those ships they're going to keep coming. It's how they kept the Alterrans pinned down for over a century."

"Ideas anyone?" Dr. Weir looked around the room at everyone but it was quiet.
