So after rereading the already posted chapters. I suddenly realized that I never moved forward in time but a few hours. Silly me! I was so busy trying to explain what happened at Camp Rock and in L.A. I never noticed that hardly any had passed. I spent basically 4 now 5 chapters explaining one day, and to be honest probably one more chapter. There were also long gaps between updates as well. I hope y'all don't mind the looonnnnngggg day (Yes, I definitely did that on purpose!). I hope you enjoy the upcoming chapter and continue to review. Once again let me know what you think and what you might like to see. I actually had a guest review that inspired an upcoming part in this chapter which will play a part in later chapters. (I wish I knew who it was so I could give them credit, but it just said guest. So to whoever made that guest review, THANK YOU!) Another thank you to xotinkerbella who gave me an idea for Shane's character, we will start to see it in this chapter and in later chapters. THANK YOU! Also, a thank you to obssessive360 who inspired my Nate inner dialogue, and we will begin to see more of his intuitive side in later chapters. THANK YOU!

The Unseen Truth

Chapter 6

Third Person

After finding out that dinner was canceled Nate asked if Jason and Layla wouldn't mind if the limo dropped him off at home. He knew that Jason and Layla would probably go back to Layla's condo, and he knew that they would need some alone time. Plus Nate had things of his own he wanted to dig through. More like thoughts of his own to mull through.

He couldn't get his mind off the events of Beach Jam. He knew that his brother had started to fall for this girl who turned out to be lying to him. He had never seen his brother so upset over a girl before. Nate knew that Mitchie was beginning to change him and feared that it would throw him back into his bad boy ways.

He remembered seeing her with Caitlyn before they left getting into a limo. Which he still found odd, but was more odd was Caitlyn leaving Camp Rock for this girl. Caitlyn lived for Camp Rock. She wanted to be a record producer and would do anything to be one. More importantly though she wouldn't hangout or defend someone who would lie about who she was.

Nate had met Caitlyn through Camp Rock and spent many summers hanging out with her. He had supported her through her friendship with Tess and knew how she felt about the girl. After Tess, Caitlyn was more selective about who she hung out with So if Caitlyn was hanging out with her, there was definitely more going on than anyone knew. Nate was determined to find out exactly what that was. Now that he thought about it Mitchie looked oddly familiar.

Earlier that day at Camp Rock, Brown was walking around Camp Rock looking for a certain young superstar. He had noticed that his nephew was getting close with one of the campers, a young Mitchie Torres. He had been surprised to receive a call from Connie Torres at the beginning of the summer asking if she could get her daughter into Camp Rock. Brown hadn't spoken to Connie since her divorce from his long time friend, Mark Munroe. They had met Connie while on tour. They were doing an interview with Hot Tunes, when the young brunette had caught the attention of his bandmate.

Mark had immediately struck up a conversation with Connie as they waited for the host to introduce the band. Connie was working as an executive producer at Hot Tunes hoping to someday become CEO or President of Hot Tunes. He learned that Connie always wanted to be in the industry, but never in the spotlight. Brown had been told that Mitchie took after Connie in this aspect despite her amazing voice and talent.

When Hot Tunes decided to try and expand into China, Connie was promoted to President of Hot Tunes in China. Connie and Mark had later married and had their kids, which eventually led to Connie stepping down as President and permanently moving back to the states. Brown had learned through Mark that Connie had decided to open up her own catering business, so when Connie reached out about Mitchie he asked if she wouldn't mind cooking for Camp Rock during the summer.

He found his nephew sitting on one of the logs by the lake quietly strumming on his guitar. "How are you doing?" He asked his nephew.

"What do you think, Uncle Brown?" Shane sharply replied back. Shane had been upset with Mitchie after finding out that she lied, but he never expected her to leave Camp Rock. He had confided in her so much that the betrayal almost broke him.

Brown sighed at his nephew. He knew that Shane was upset by Tess' news that Mitchie had lied to him. They had spoken about it once a couple of days ago. He didn't have the courage at the time to tell Shane the truth. He knew Mitchie was trying not to live in the shadow of her family despite being pulled into Tess' nonsense, but now he felt like he had no choice with Tess trying to manipulate the situation and his nephew. He knew that he would have to do it discreetly though and let Shane figure it out on his own because ultimately whatever he did needed to be his choice.

"I'm sure it'll turn out fine," Brown reassured his nephew.

"How Uncle Brown?" Shane questioned turning to look at him. Brown was shocked to find tears glistening in his eyes trying to find a way out.

"Trust your heart," Brown advised him. "And know that everything is not what it seems. Some people get caught in a web without even knowing and others manipulate it to their advantage." he finished leaving his nephew to his thoughts.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Shane finally asked himself.

Meanwhile in L.A., Mitchie plopped down in the seat of the arcade/restaurant that Sonny and Tawni took her and Caitlyn to. She was beyond exhausted and she was ready to eat some food and then take a nap. Their first day in Hollywood has been adventurous. From the moment they arrived at the airport at 6 o'clock in the morning California, they had not had a moment's rest. Don't get Mitchie wrong she was excited about spending time with her sister, she was just tired.

Mitchie enjoyed exploring Hollywood with Sonny and Tawni. Tawni had so many places they wanted to sew, but Sonny narrowed her down to a few. They took them to the Hollywood sign where she got some amazing pictures of LA. The view was beautiful. For a brief moment it reminded her of the peace at Camp Rock sitting by the lake.

After the Hollywood Sign they walked along Hollywood Boulevard and got to see the Walk of Fame. There were some cool ones like Scarlett Johansson and Simon Cowell. The also visited a couple other buildings on Hollywood Boulevard. When they arrived at the restaurant Mitchie was quick to find a seat while Sonny ordered for her.

Mitchie watched as Sonny gave Caitlyn a look after she must have said something to Tawni, because Tawni looked shocked. It was only a moment before the three started laughing. She was glad that they were all getting along, and Mitchie hoped that it might improve the relationship between Tawni and Sonny. Tawni may give off Tess vibes, but she definitely had a different outward personality than Tess.

"Well you look awful," A voice stated to her left.

"Excuse me?" She questioned in awe and disgust looking at the person who slid into the booth in front of her. It took her a moment to recognize it as Chad Dylan Cooper.

"Oh you must think I'm Sonny…" Mitchie started to say realizing that he must think she is Sonny, not that it excuses his behavior, but was interrupted by Chad saying "I mean how much work can you be doing over in chuckle city to make you so tired when you have no viewers."

Mitchie decided that if he couldn't tell the difference between the two that she would play his game. "At least I have a sense of humor. Everyone loves a good laugh." She started. "You know it finally makes sense now."

"What makes sense now?" Chad questioned Mitchie, confused out of his mind where she could be going with her statement.

"Why you guys have so many viewers," She stated, hoping he would pick up on what she was saying, but the look on Chad's face made her continue. "They are too busy laughing at how ridiculous the show is!" At this point Mitchie was laughing. Chad's smile just dropped in shock. Chad began stuttering over his words having no idea what to say. He was completely speechless.

"I never thought I would see the day where Chad Dylan Cooper had no idea what to say!" Tawni exclaimed. The trio had walked up right before Mitchie made her statement and were laughing at the scene in front of them

Chad turned to look at them and then looked back at Mitchie. "I am so confused." He finally stated.

Sonny laughed before saying, "That's Mitchie my twin sister." She then pointed at Caitlyn and continued "And that's Caitlyn Mitchie's friend"

"So there's two of you?" Chad asked.

"That's what she just said. Duh!" Tawni quickly replied back. The group laughed at Tawni's remark because it was such a Tawni thing to say.

Back at Camp Rock, Brown was sitting in his office contemplating everything going on with his nephew and some of his campers and staff when his phone suddenly rang pulling him out of his thoughts.

"Brown Cessario," He answered.

"Hey Brown, It's Mark" The voice on the other end of the line replied. "I need your help. It's Axel"

Brown listened as his friend explained that Axel Turner was trying to steal one of his artists. Axel Turner owned Star Records and was once a member of his band that consisted of himself, Axel, Mark and two of their other friends. At first things with the band were great, but things soon became tense between Axel and the rest of the band. They eventually decided to part ways with Axel.

"So what should I do?" Mark finally asked after explaining everything.

"First I suggest reaching out to our old lawyer," Brown started. "See if they can look at the contract, see if the label lawyer missed anything. Secondly, I would show Axel and every other record label that you still have the ability to hire top talent."

"What exactly do you have in mind, Brown?" Mark questioned his friend.

Brown went on to explain his plan to Mark, knowing that Mark was already coming up with ideas of his own to add onto the plan. Mark and Brown always did make a good team. It would take a lot of planning and would require some changes to Final Jam, but Brown was sure that it would work. He also had a feeling that the plan might work out well for a certain popstar nephew and the girl his nephew had dubbed as the girl with the voice.

Here is the next chapter. I really hope you like it. I hope you all like the scene between Mitchie and Chad. I hope it wasn't too mean. It seems to kind of fit Sonny and Chad's friendship/relationship in the beginning. Also, I always thought that Chad needed to be brought down a peg and who better to do it than Mitchie. I know this chapter is shorter than the last one, but I hope you all enjoy it. Thank you again for the reviews and the ideas.
