It's been about almost a day since the Night Owls have returned from the stone forest and the next day when Kelly and Jaden tried to use magic to turn themselves back to normal. Things have been starting to be okay since. Bagsy and Kelly were still at their grandparents, but hopefully they'll comeback soon. The woman that Johanna attacked is still in the hospital but surprisingly she hasn't told anyone about her attacker. Hilda guessed that she might've been too scared to tell anyone the truth. As for the teenager that Alva beaten up, he actually tried to tell everyone about Alva as a troll. But no really believed him and thought he was weird, or thought he might've been hallucinating since he got beaten up. Hilda hoped it would be enough to keep the suspicion on them from growing. Right now Hilda was returning home after spending some time with her friends. They were in the Vittra tunnels today and Hilda noticed how Trevor and David have been growing close, maybe too close even. But Hilda didn't mind it, and walked up to her door and entered inside, closing the door behind her.

Hilda: Mum! I'm home. Hello, Twig.

Hilda watched as Twig came up to her and nuzzled her leg, which Hilda bent down and scratched behind his ears in response. Hilda took off her boots and hood and placed them on the bench, before walking into the living room where her mother was at her drawing station. Hilda walked over with Twig by her side and up to Johanna from behind.

Hilda: Hello, mum...Mum?

Hilda just waited for a response from her mother, but only saw her looking at her drawing. Hilda just walked to the side and saw Johanna not drawing. In fact, her mum hardly drew anything! Hilda glanced up at her mother and saw her looking at her paper, but wasn't moving or anything. She just made a blank face with wide eyes and a small frown like she was in some kind of trance.

Hilda: Mum? Mum!

Hilda just touched her mother's arm and she suddenly snapped out of her trance. Johanna blinked and shook her head, snapping back to reality. Johanna looked at her artwork, seeing only 5 lines, and turned to her left and saw Hilda looking up at her with an anxious face.

Johanna: Oh, hello, Hilda.

Johanna just turned to Hilda and bent down to hug her, which Hilda returned the hug. Johanna pressed a tiny kiss on her head and turned back to her work, sighing.

Hilda: Are you okay? You looked like...well, not focused.

Johanna: Oh, I'm sorry, hon. I just have a lot on my mind.

Hilda: Oh. Is because...of the woman you attacked?

Johanna squirmed from Hilda's words, but there was no point in lying.

Johanna: Yes. I just...can't get that image out of my head.

Hilda saw her mum's face lower down and made a depressing face. Hilda could relate.

Hilda: I'm sorry.

Johanna: Oh, Hilda.

Johanna just turned to Hilda and scooped her up with both hands, placing her on her lap and hugged her close. Hilda leaned into the touch and felt relaxed in the warmness comfort of her mum. After a few seconds they parted and looked back at each other.

Johanna: But, how are your memories doing?

Hilda: Just fine. Thank you for asking.

Johanna: Well, that's my job as your mother.

Johanna just booped Hilda's nose playfully, making Hilda blush.

Hilda: Hey, mum. If you wanna take your mind off things, then why don't we go out and take mind off things.

Johanna: Really? Like where would we go?

Hilda: Maybe outside the wall in the forest?

Johanna: In the forest?

Hilda: Well, yes. It helps me to clear my head, especially when we lived out in the wilderness.

Johanna: Oh. You got those memories back?

Hilda: Yeah. When we were exploring the stone forest.

Johanna looked and saw a warm and happy smile on Hilda's face, the kind Johanna loved to see and would want Hilda to always have.

Johanna: Well, maybe would go out this evening. It would be nice to get out of the house, actually.

Hilda: Awesome.

Johanna's heart soared as she saw Hilda smiling again from her response, which made her hug Hilda once more.

It was around 7:30 at night and Johanna, Hilda, Twig, Alfur, and Tontu had their supper. It was a casserole. Then after cleaning up their messes Johanna, Hilda, and Twig got their hoods on, expect Twig, and walked out of the building and into the car parked along the curb. Johanna started the engine and she drove the car from the curb, towards the exit wall. It took about 20 minutes but they arrived at the wall where Johanna drove out past the gate and near the woods, where the trolls would be coming out. But to avoid any trolls coming close, she parked the car near the edge of the woods and close to the wall. Then they hopped out and walked towards the woods for the night out. It was just Hilda, Twig, and Johanna together, ready to take their mind of things.

Johanna: So, what would you like to do?

Hilda: Maybe the stone forest?

Johanna: Uh, I don't think I'd like to.

Johanna just kinda turned away and looked down, feeling discomfort. Hilda knew why. The reason was because Johanna has not been back in the stone forest since when Trylla swapped Hilda and Baba together. So going back there with Johanna was probably not Johanna's first choice. Hilda saw it and felt worried, she wanted her mum to clear mind tonight, not put her in a uncomfortable position. So they didn't have to go back.

Hilda: That's okay. We can go somewhere else.

Johanna: Thank you. You know, actually, there was a place I'd like to go when I lived in Trolberg. I'll show you.

Hilda: Okay.

Johanna just walked forward and held her hand out to Hilda, who gingerly took it. Then the pair walked through the woods with Twig by their side and embraced the nature around them under the night sky. They looked around as they walked through the dark woods and did see some trolls coming out of frozen rocks. They were setting up campfires nearby and grabbing something to eat. But Johanna, Hilda, and Twig kept their distance from them. And Hilda picked up Twig and carried him, so the trolls don't think he's alone and they can eat him. Some trolls did see them, but didn't bother them. They walked through the forest and stopped in front of a small cave, that a troll can't fit through and lead downward underground.

Johanna: Here we are.

Hilda saw the dark tunnel leading down somewhere and her mum must mean that the place she's taking her was down there. The mother and daughter walked to the cave and entered through, walking down the dark tunnel. Twig couldn't help but whimper in Hilda's arms but she rubbed his neck, comforting him when he's afraid. They walked down the tunnel for about 2 minutes and soon Hilda saw a bright light ahead. Walking to the bright light, Johanna, Hilda, and Twig entered a new underground place. Inside was a large pool of clean water, making it so peaceful. Hilda placed Twig down and they and Johanna stood at the edge of a big cave with paths leading different directions and crystals around, glowing different colors. Johanna noticed how it hasn't changed a slither.

Hilda: Whoa...It's so pretty here.

Johanna: Thank you. It still is. I came here and explored every chance I had. So, I thought I'd show you.

Hilda: Well, I love it!

And Twig just made cheerful nosies, showing he loved it too.

Johanna: Trolls never come down here, because the cave was too small for them.

Hilda: That sounds about right.

Johanna: So, wanna look around?

Hilda: Yes please!

Twig just yelped in agreement. Immediately everyone just rushed into this large cavern to explore and play. Johanna started out by showing Hilda what she could remember and explored during her times here, she showed a big red crystal, a crystal pond, and this giant purple crystal standing from the ceiling. After that Johanna, Hilda, and Twig took sometime to explore more of the cave, and the whole rest of it from top to bottom. When they were done, they decided to play hide and seek. Johanna counted first and Hilda and Twig hid, when Johanna searched for them she was scared by Hilda and Twig, but playfully. After a couple more rounds of hide and seek, they went back to the exit and sat down to take a break. Twig snuggled up against Hilda's legs and she brushed his back. They were talking to each other about what a good time they had.

Hilda: Well, that was kinda fun.

Johanna: I figured you'd like it.

Hilda: So, mum? How are feeling now?

Johanna: Well, I feel much better now. Thank you for asking.

Hilda: Good. I'm glad.

Hilda and Johanna both looked at each other and smiled, feeling proud they've been to clear their heads of trauma.

Johanna: Wanna head home now?

Hilda: Yeah, probably.

Hilda and Johanna both looked at each other and chuckled as they got on their feet and brushed themselves off, then walked back down the tunnel they came through when they entered, with Twig tagging along. They walked back through the dark tunnel and made their way through the cave. They reached the end in 2 minutes and walked out under the night sky. The mother, daughter, and deerfox both walked down the hill and towards the direction of their car, where they looked around and saw more trolls coming out to play. But they weren't planning on playing with them, but rather heading home. As they walked away Hilda looked around at the cavern entrance and smiled from behind, feeling like she can go back there if she pleases.

Hilda: You know, maybe I can go back there with my friends next time and-

BAM!*

Hilda was cut off as she bonked onto Johanna's back. Hilda shook herself off and looked in front and noticed her mother had stopped walking, and was looking in front with a face filled with horror and fear. Hilda looked in front from behind her mother and saw what she was looking at, feeling her blood run cold in horror by what she saw. A troll was in front of them, but not just any troll, a gigantic troll with 2 heads on his body. He was looking down at Johanna, Hilda, and Twig with clenched teeth and narrowing eyes of a predator. Johanna was just looking up at it with wide and shocked eyes while Hilda just stood back, but couldn't help but peek from behind.

Hilda: Uh. Hello?

Two Headed Troll: I remember you.

Hilda: Uh, I don't.

Johanna: Hilda, get back!

Hilda: Wait? Do you know him, Mum?

Johanna: Yes I do! You don't remember it, Hilda, but this troll tried to kill us!

Two Headed Troll: Because you dumped my loot out of my cave!

Johanna: Sorry about, mister two headed troll?

Murtagh:...My name is Murtagh!

Johanna: Oh. Sorry.

Murtagh: And now I've got you cornered, I'm GONNA YOU BOTH APART!

Murtagh then let out a loud roar and swung his giant fists to crush the gang, who screamed and jumped away at the last minute. Johanna and Hilda stood on opposite ends with Twig jumping into Hilda's arms, whimpering. Immediately Murtagh turned to Hilda and Twig, who looked up at Murtagh with fear and backed away slowly. Murtagh reached over to grab them but Johanna rushed ahead and jumped in the air, banging her hands down on Murtagh's back. Murtagh roared and reached back, grabbing Johanna. He pulled her over his shoulder and whammed her to the ground. Hilda watched it happen with wide eyes and covered her mouth she gasped in horror as Johanna struggled to get up from the ground.

Hilda: Mum!

Johanna: Uhhh. Hilda...Run...

But Johanna didn't have time and she felt herself being picked up off the floor and she was carried off and away by Murtagh. All Hilda could do was watch with horror and didn't move a muscle, as Murtagh scooped up her mum and carried her off into the woods. Hilda watched them until they were out of sight and let go of Twig, who fell to the ground on his legs while Hilda looked off in the direction of Murtagh with complete shock, before falling to her knees and tearing up. Immediately began to cry and whimper for witnessing her mother being kidnapped by a nasty, two headed troll that she had no memory of. Twig saw Hilda's depression and rushed to her instantly, licking her cheeks as she cried and sobbed.

Hilda's mind was swirling with thoughts of the good times she had with her mum, and times when she seemingly took her for granted. If she does die tonight, then what would she do? But Hilda knew she couldn't let it happened. Instead she just wiped her eyes and looked back up as she choked on her sobs, back to the direction that Murtagh took off running to. Hilda then took a deep breath and had to fix her mind, switching and channeling her emotions from depressive failure, to strong determination. She stood up onto her feet and made narrowed eyes, with Twig sitting by her and looking up at his owner's expression.

Hilda: We...We've got to save my mum, Twig.

Hilda looked down at Twig and he nodded in agreement. Then they both sprinted down the hill and to the woods in the direction Murtagh left.

Johanna was looking at the floor with painful exhaustion. She didn't how long she was in Murtagh's grasp, and didn't know where she was going, but hoped Hilda wasn't taken by Murtagh either. Johanna just raised her head and looked up to see where she was, seeing grass, trees, and the sky above, signafying they're still in the woods and not the stone forest. However, Johanna was curious on where they were going, but where they're going she was sure that she was gonna die.

Johanna: Wha? Wha? What you...what are you doing?!

Murtagh: I'm gonna make sure you won't live to see the next day!

Johanna just looked up and saw Murtagh walking towards the edge of a cliff, which lead down to a 40 meter drop. Johanna then realized what Murtagh was gonna do. He was gonna chuck Johanna off a cliff. Johanna felt her fears beginning to rise and looked up at Murtagh, who glanced down at her and gave her the evil and sinester eye.

Johanna: Oh, dear. Murtagh-

Murtagh: You had this coming for so long!

Johanna: But, but, won't I still survive because

Murtagh: Not unless your nose breaks off, cause then you'll die from no breathing!

Johanna just gulped, because she heard how Trolls get most of their oxygen through their nose and not their mouths. If she ever were to fall off the cliff and broke her nose, then she'd dead. Johanna immediately began to shake and move in Murtagh's grasp to try and escape. But Murtagh squeezed tighter and Johanna just grunted in his grasp. But not a second later they reached the edge of the cliff and Murtagh held Johanna over the cliff. Johanna just looked at Murtagh completely scared and not looked down.

Johanna: Don't do this.

Murtagh: I. Don't. Care. What. You. Say.

Hilda: Put her down!

Murtagh stopped what he was doing and spun his heads around to see a small troll with blue hair rushing towards him with a large rock in her hands. Johanna saw Hilda rushing with Twig by her side and felt annoyed for Hilda not escaping, but get fond of her bravery. Hilda rushed to Murtagh and chucked the boulder towards him as hard as she could, but he ducked and dodged the incoming boulder. Murtagh stood back up and just threw Johanna towards Hilda, screaming and landing on the ground in front of her.

Hilda: Mum!

Hilda stopped running in front of her mum and crouch down to help her with Twig. But Murtagh just walked over and glared down at the pair.

Murtagh: I'm gonna crush you into tiny pieces!

Murtagh just raised his fists and swung them down on them. Hilda hugged Twig and closed her eyes, bracing herself. But she didn't feel anything. She looked back and saw her mum on her feet and blocking Murtagh's fists from coming down on top of them.

Johanna: I don't think so!

Johanna then shoved the giant hands away and Murtagh flung back a bit and landed on his back from Johanna's brute strength. Johanna then stood back up and brushed herself off while glaring at Murtagh with clenched fists. Hilda let go of Twig and stood back up next to her mum, making a brave pose as Murtagh grumbled like a beast and got back on his feet.

Murtagh: Now your gonna get it!

Murtagh glared at the mother, daughter, and deerfox and was ready for a fight. Johanna and Hilda both looked at each other and nodded firmly. They were both trolls, so they might as well fight back. Then the fight was on! Murtagh rushed towards them and so did Hilda and Johanna, all roaring battle cries. Upon getting closer Johanna jumped into the air and towards Murtagh while swinging her fists towards him, hitting him in the face. Then she swung around and landed on his back while grabbing onto his head. Murtagh roared and shook around to shake Johanna off his back, but while his back was turned Hilda came in and leaped up, kicking Murtagh in the back as hard as she could. Murtagh flew forward from the kick and Johanna jumped off his back, landing next to Hilda. Murtagh turned back and came in charging like a bill to ram them, but they jumped to the sides and Murtagh crashed into a tree.

Murtagh shook himself off and turned back to Hilda and Johanna, who jumped ahead and landed punches to each head. Murtagh groaned in pain and stumbled forward, but was able to stand still again. He looked around for Johanna and Hilda and raised his fists, just as Johanna sneaked up behind him and kicked him in the back with both legs, and Hilda just forward and laid serious punches to Murtagh's stomach. Murtagh then fell to his knees and looked at the floor in pain. But then he looked back up and saw Johanna and Hilda both standing in front of him with heroic stances, before they swung their fists in undercuts and punched Murtagh in chin. Murtagh flew back in the air and landed on his back with a loud boom noise. Murtagh groaned in pain and looked up to see Johanna and Hilda walking towards him, to which he finally seemed panicked. Murtagh just got back, trying to brush the brushes off, and bolted back and away from mother and daughter.

Hilda and Johanna both watched as Murtagh bolted away into the woods until he was out of sight, defeated and running away like coward instead of fighting. They both looked at each other and both sighed in relief, with Twig coming over and Hilda picking him up. Johanna and Hilda both looked back at each other and smiled proudly, before they began to cheer in victory. Hilda hopped up in the air with Twig in her arms, and Johanna raised her fists in the air as they cheered. Then they looked back at each other again.

Hilda: Yes! We did it!

Johanna: We sure did!

Hilda and Johanna both stopped cheering and looked at each other with smiles of pride. But Hilda then frowned a little and looked at her mum, which made her a little confused.

Hilda: I, I'm sorry I brought you out here, Mum.

Johanna: Oh, don't worry, Hilda. I had actually had a good time.

Hilda and Twig looked up and saw a small and slightly nervous smile on Johanna's face, which they returned the smile themselves.

After swimming in the secret pool and their battle with Murtagh, Johanna, Hilda, and Twig both agreed to head back to the car before they have to pick more fights with trolls. They reached the car after a long hike and climbed in before the sun began to rise. Johanna started the engine and drove back to the wall, entering through the gates and down the road to home. As they drove into the city, Hilda was looking out the window and up at the sky with Twig curling up on her lap. Hilda was thinking how they kicked butt with Murtagh, even though she didn't remember him yet. But Hilda kinda wondered if this would what her new life would be like.

Hilda: Hey, Mum?

Johanna: Yes?

Hilda: Do you think that something like might happen again now we're trolls?

Johanna: Oh, um...I'm not sure, Hilda.

Hilda: It's alright that you don't. I just...hope that maybe now we're trolls we can still have the same lives as before.

Johanna: Oh. Well, Hilda, I believe that lives can change or remain the same. It's all how the world works and goes by. But don't think our lives are gonna change, Hilda, because we have each other and that's all what matters.

Hilda: Do you think so?

Johanna: Yes, of course. I believe we have the strength to make this work, human or troll.

Johanna looked at Hilda and winked at her, giving her a smile to help before she turned back to the road ahead. Hilda just smiled at her mum and turned back to the window and looked outside, seeing the world around her drive. Hilda remembered back to the most craziest of times in her life, especially the time when she, twig, and her mum got stuck in the stone forest and the mountain king incident. She thought how they were able to beat Murtagh together and didn't back down. They beaten him because they were Trolls and sent him running. If they could do that, then maybe they can conquer more in their path. Human or Troll. Hilda just smiled at the thought as she started to watch snow falling outside.
