AN: I had to take a lot of liberties with this chapter and stretch the POV a little.

My Fantasies

It didn't seem like Kurt took his advice to heart. Then again, he had nothing really to base if off of when it came to Blaine and Sebastian hadn't given him the keys to decipher it. The greased head wasn't in tow as much as Sebastian would have assumed he would have been. Other than a few bigger outings with a lot of people, Kurt didn't come home talking about Rachel and Blaine, just Rachel.

Because Kurt had admitted to liking it, Sebastian still dropped Kurt off at work and texted ahead if he would like Sebastian to pick him up. Kurt knew the bodyguards were outside and had room in their car if he wanted to come home separately.

Kurt always wanted him to pick him up.

Kurt went out during the day with Rachel while Sebastian was at work. Kurt went out for other things too and stayed within the requested limit, even when he had his meetings with Vogue clients. He also used his car with bodyguards if he had errands to run during the days he was at Hum and Tweet.

The bodyguards never reported back about Kurt meeting up with Blaine or Blaine tagging along. He didn't ask either, but they knew that Blaine was one of the flags to inform Sebastian about. He didn't have too many on the list.

So when Kurt told him that he was going to spend an otherwise innocent Wednesday with Rachel, he hadn't thought anything of it. That was until, he told him that he was going to be spending most of that Wednesday at their apartment prior to their show that night. Then he would attend a viewing and probably just crash there afterward.

Sebastian weaseled out a ticket for the evening performance, so he could sit right next to Kurt and spend the evening with him. If he still wanted to crash at their place, then they both would. Rachel was just thrilled that Sebastian wanted to see one of her performances, she got him a ticket quickly and gushed about it for a solid ten minutes. Sebastian demurred, humoring her.

They'd had a wonderful three days away in Connecticut and had connected in deeper ways than they had for a long time now. They just had a lot of fun and talked and laughed and enjoyed being with the other person, no strings, no commitments, no drama over their heads.

The fun continued when they got home and had another weekend where they both just relaxed and enjoyed each other and the world around them.

Then the week started again and things were a little more strained than before, Rachel hadn't invited Kurt over to her place in quite some time. It wasn't Rachel and it wasn't Kurt, Sebastian was just worried and he didn't want to be worrying about that when they had another big project due. Kurt had eased some of his fears by being Kurt and being a bit oblivious of Blaine's presence.

Sebastian hadn't blocked Blaine's number though he could have done it and gotten away with it. Still, it didn't seem like those two were texting as much as they had prior to the accident. Obviously, Kurt wouldn't have started those up and he knew Kurt had just been polite when he did respond but they had things in common that they could talk about. Blaine was being a bit elusive for some reason or maybe Kurt told him to knock it off. Sebastian wasn't sure which. He knew what he hoped but still couldn't know that any part of it was true.

When Sebastian dropped Kurt off at Rachel and Blaine's that Wednesday morning he was tempted to call into work. Kurt had already put his foot down on that plan, knowing how important the project was to the company and it was an interesting project to work on.

Sebastian tried to talk himself into believing that there wouldn't bean issue with leaving Kurt there. He could almost do it but he wasn't quite there but he'd have to trust Rachel to be enough of a buffer. He should have listened to his gut but instead he listened to everyone insisting that it would be fine.

He walked in with Kurt, not wanting to say goodbye until he absolutely had to. He put down their overnight bags and surveyed the place along with Kurt. He'd been there before but this was not usually where the group of them hung out. Kurt had been over several times on his own prior to the accident, and Blaine would have been present too. Nothing had happened then. He didn't know why he was so paranoid now.

The place always seemed so jarring and out of sorts in some ways and so perfectly spot on at the same time, for both Rachel and Blaine. It was very... antique and old weren't quite the right words as everything had been built new to Rachel's specs and Kurt had helped decorate it though it was as far from his own style as possible. It was a lot of pastels and coordinating grays and very grand and overly fancy and opulent and well done but so not comfortable to him. It looked like comfortable furniture but he was always afraid of damaging something, although these would probably be easier to recreate than some of Kurt's more modern pieces. He certainly had the funds to replace them, not that Rachel would ask. Blaine came from old money too but he always seemed on the edge of poor to Sebastian, especially these days. Which didn't make any sense as he was splitting the living costs or living there completely free and was working full time in a big production.

His clothes though just seemed old and worn and Sebastian had definitely seen that outfit many times over the years. Then again, maybe he was just used to a new outfit getting put into the closet every week and seeing repeats very sparingly and only in different combinations. Odd, considering that Kurt was frugal and environmentally conscious, but it's how he liked to spend his money. That and Kurt donated a lot of his clothes directly to people looking for designer brands and couldn't afford them wholesale or gifted some of his own creations. Sometimes he reused the fabrics for new items, so he was definitely not wasteful.

Rachel looked expectantly at Sebastian and then the door and Sebastian got the message loud and clear. He bent to give a now sitting Kurt a chaste kiss on the cheek but Kurt turned and pulled him in for a bit more heady of a kiss. If nothing else could tell Blaine how they were doing, that would, and it did, judging by the look on his face long after the kiss ended and Sebastian surveyed the room one last time before leaving.

What happened afterward was a combination of people telling him what they recollected and what he just assumed went down or pieced together by what they didn't say.

Sebastian had left with Kurt being the one to tell the group that they were solid and in a really good place. Sebastian was practically humming as he left even though he did glance back one last time to reassure both of them.

Kurt waved him off, and once the door shut, he turned to the other two occupants in the room. Rachel was looking toward the front hallway door as well but Blaine's eyes were on him. He smiled a little unsure in Blaine's direction. Since he'd woken up, he hadn't seen much of Blaine and wasn't sure exactly of their relationship.

Blaine implied that they were close and others didn't outright contradict it but didn't really contribute to that conversation either. Only Rachel had agreed that they were all good friends before the memory loss and had actually known Blaine for quite some time. They'd nearly lived together for awhile too when he was with Adam.

Kurt always internally laughed when they said that he dated Adam for as long as he had. He'd spent time with Adam and his husband since waking up, a few video calls and an in-person visit for a weekend while they were on another holiday. It seemed like they were always traveling or doing fun things.

He had loads of pictures of them as friends, then boyfriends then friends again, even hanging out with them while Adam was dating the new guy and Sebastian was in those photos as well. He even had pictures of Blaine so knew there was truth there too.

Adam on paper seemed like the perfect guy and yet he seemed like the completely wrong fit for Kurt. A great friend, definitely, but not the usual type of guy Kurt dated, he was far too accessible for one and not nearly blunt enough. Maybe there had been more to the story than Kurt realized.

Blaine returned Kurt's smile and it seemed far too calculated, a mix of warmth and confidence with a bit of sleaze. Kurt's smile faltered then faded away and he looked to Rachel.

Rachel as if feeling Kurt's gaze spun to them with all the energy she's always had, clapping her hands and shooting out options for the day. Kurt had promised Sebastian he wouldn't leave the premise. Rachel had a pool and a million other things in her building, including some clothing shops and a movie theater, even a bowling alley, so it wasn't entirely necessary. It was a weird combination with the age and class of the building but also re-purposed for a more modern era.

They ended up heading down to the bowling alley and Blaine ended up wiping the floor with them, he had a lot of upper body strength. Kurt didn't do too poorly and Rachel held her own. They played a round of darts before heading back to Rachel's. They didn't want to tax themselves too much prior to their show that night but they still headed up to the pool after a quick rinse and lounged around and in it for a good majority of the afternoon.

Blaine's stomach growled, prompting them to head down and Rachel insisted Kurt got the first shower in her bathroom. Blaine had his own shower in his room. "It'll be like we're taking a shower together." Blaine joked but Rachel missed it and Kurt's face in response. She was already in the kitchen pulling out the ingredients Kurt had her shop for prior to his coming over. She'd requested he make dinner since she missed his cooking so much and there was one meal in particular that she had been craving. He'd agreed, he hadn't done much of the cooking since he'd woken up and it had always been fun to cook with Rachel.

Kurt was out of his shower before Blaine and dressed and dried for the most part. He had a few other things he would normally do post shower but he wanted to just rid his mind of what Blaine said and focus on something else instead. He could do some of those tasks later.

Rachel was looking into the cabinets and opening the fridge and freezer while frowning hard. "I swear I bought it."

"What's that, Rachel?" Kurt started rifling through the ingredients, separating them into the proper steps and divinning up proportions to be used at the appropriate time and way. He moved aside a few boxes and bottles, knowing Rachel wouldn't have forgotten the key piece to the meal. It was a little easier to loose though and he looked around for it too. "No chocolate?"

"I can't find it." Rachel admitted fore-lonely. "Will it be utterly ruined?"

"I don't need to start it yet." Kurt answered her. "But we do need it, if not for taste then for consistency. We can go get it."

"No, no, you start, I will go get it and come right back." She reached for her purse and pulled the thin string over her head but looked at him unsure. "I could always have my driver go and get it."

"Do you trust him to pick out the right thing?" It was possible, especially if the driver had been with her long enough to know what she purchased. Kurt couldn't have known the answer to that but he felt like it was a newer driver.

"No." Rachel sighed dramatically. "He might not even know where to go." She still looked uncertain and Kurt hip-checked her.

"Go. I'll be able to time it for your arrival, it'll be fine."

"It's not that... I promised Sebastian that I wouldn't leave you alone here."

"And I promised him that we wouldn't leave the property." Kurt tacked on, knowing he would have remembered that before they left.

"We can send Blaine." Rachel lighted upon the perfect answer and they looked at each other, mulling it over briefly but Kurt was already on the verge of an answer.

"Definitely not, don't you remember how bad he is with picking up the wine and other drinks even with specific requests? I still can't get that coffee's taste out of my mouth, who pairs apples with coffee?"

"It was certainly an experiment that couldn't be known until tried, random things like that are often excellent pairings even though they sound horrendous together." Rachel shook her head. "I still don't want to leave you alone."

"He's not alone, I'll be here." Blaine came into the room wearing a pair of jeans and a simple white T. His hair was somehow bone dry and he looked over Kurt's own simple outfit of cream colored slacks and a light blue patterned button up, very fresh and very summer and not too warm with the material it was in. Blaine's eyes lingered too long in trying to discern the shadows.

"Right, right, ok, well I'll be back soon." Rachel leaned up to kiss first Kurt's cheek and then over to Blaine to kiss his trying not to sound too stressed and more chipper. "Ten minutes, twenty, tops."

"Sounds good, I'll start the meal in five." Kurt walked her toward the door and then came back to the kitchen to see Blaine moving things around and looking at the packaging. "It's surprisingly healthy despite the chocolate." He explained, sorting them back into place.

"I'm not too worried about that." Blaine dismissed. "I just wanted to see what all goes into one of your famous dishes."

"Have you never seen me cook?"

"I have, in the periphery. You usually kept me out of the kitchen, instead wanting to surprise my palate." Blaine leaned against a clean counter-top. "You always knew how to make me salivate and satisfy all of my cravings."

Despite himself, Kurt turned a bit pink and Blaine took that as an invitation to let his eyes roam. "I don't know if those are appropriate things to say to me."

"Why not? They're the truth."

"But they're also very innuendo heavy and leading comments." Kurt tried to focus on the task ahead of him rather than the embarrassment that he felt more for Blaine than himself.

"Only if you allow yourself to think that way. You must want to be thinking that way if you are. My comments were very innocent, you're the dirty mind."

"I don't think of you that way." Now Kurt was a little ticked off, for Blaine to even suggest that it was all in Kurt's head rather than Blaine attempting to put it there. He should just own up to it, he get called out on it and told to stop, it hadn't hurt to play or try but he now needed to be a man. He certainly attempted to present himself that way, all smooth charm.

"Hmm... maybe a little." Yet to Blaine's credit, he let it drop. "What are you going to do for the next five minutes or so?"

Kurt sighed and looked down at everything already neatly laid out. He had nothing else to do in here."I guess play on my phone a bit."

"That's boring." Blaine deadpanned.

"Then I'll just..." Going to his room was not an option anymore, he didn't have that secure escape. He'd never had a room in here before.

"We could go for a walk." Blaine suggested almost baitingly and Kurt scowled at him, knowing what he was angling for.

"I'm not going to leave the building." Kurt tried to leave vague and fully his choice.

"Don't you find him stifling?" Blaine sounded frustrated. "He's so incredibly controlling."

"He's protective and caring." Kurt contradicted. "His worry has become requests but I choose to go along with it. He'll never make me do anything."

"What a snooze fest." Blaine scoffed.

"Ok, great and wonderful Blaine, what do you want to do?"

"Practice flirting?" Blaine disappeared before Kurt could say anything, reappearing in a white button up with the sleeves too long for him and knotted together. "This one of yours." He announced before he proceeded to drop his arms around Kurt, trapping him in between them and smiled greasily. "Drop Sebastian and be with me."

"Uh... no." Kurt didn't even need to think about it. "Is this your idea of flirting? No wonder you're alone."

"Ok then... a different tactic." Blaine tightened his arms around Kurt and went to kiss him but he was at a disadvantage of his own making and couldn't help guide Kurt's head toward the kiss. Kurt turned away and Blaine got mad and attempted to-

"Ok, wait, no, that's not how it happened Sebastian!" Kurt interrupted what Sebastian was saying to Santana and Brittany who'd joined them and needed an update on what was going on. Santana looked ready to murder but she would wait to hear Kurt out and for once didn't say anything.

Sebastian turned toward him clearly upset by the interruption and defense of Blaine. Rachel looked pale and appalled even more so than she had been before. "What do you mean? He was premeditated and assaulted you and-."

"Woah, no." Kurt looked at Sebastian in concern. "Your imagination takes some wild swings."

"You're just too kind and forgiving. Blaine even admitted-."

"Ok, let me tell the story, as someone who was actually there, no offense Rachel but your imagination sometimes goes off the deep end too and you're too biased to take anything Blaine says accurately, Sebastian."

"I swear, Kurt if you-."

"I'm not going to." Kurt reassured Sebastian and Rachel who also started to protest about this situation. "I am not going to sit here and paint Blaine as a saint but he's also not the villain you're making him out to be. He's just a sad case. Let me tel the story. Let's back up to when we got back from the pool, the rest of it was fine but this is where Rachel started losing the threads of the story."

"You can take a shower in my room first, Kurt." Rachel would wait until Kurt was done because he was cooking and the meal would get done sooner if he went first.

"That's funny, it'll be like we're showering together." Blaine tried to joke but it landed flat. Both Rachel and Kurt glanced at him but then went back to what they were plotting. Blaine went off first and then Kurt headed off to Rachel's room to shower as well, already forgetting Blaine's lame joke.

The discussion about the chocolate and leaving Kurt alone went the same except for how Blaine said what he did. "Have you never seen me cook?"

"I've tried but you've usually kept me out of the kitchen, supposedly to surprise my palate but I had caught on, you put in healthy alternatives, knowing that if anyone else knew they wouldn't eat it. So I just stayed out of the kitchen. It didn't matter that I knew though, the food you cooked always made me salivate and always hits all my cravings, even ones I didn't know were there."

Kurt glanced at him, wondering if Blaine was so innocent as to not know that there could be a bit of a flirty banter just waiting in those words or if he meant them honestly. He decided that they were innocent comments as there hadn't really been a leading edge to the tone nor inappropriate looks accommodating them.

Everything Blaine said and did made Kurt question if they were meant to be flirty or just innocent words. He wasn't obvious enough if he was flirting and Kurt wasn't around Blaine enough to know if the more subtle was how Blaine flirted; or if Blaine flirted with everyone but meant it with only a few.

"Well, this is as far as I can go until Rachel brings the chocolate." Kurt sighed and looked down at his phone. "I might just-." He didn't have a room to disappear into to call Sebastian nor politely ignore Blaine in favor of playing on his phone. He told Isabelle and Birdie that he was not to be disturbed today except for the most dire of cases. So far they'd left him alone and now he was wishing one of them had an emergency. He didn't really know Blaine and he felt like Blaine was just spending time with him out of duty and just humoring him. He hadn't really sought Kurt out on his own since waking up, just poking his head in to say hi whenever Rachel was on video chat.

Blaine had caught on to his indecision on how to spend the next several minutes and so he grinned at Kurt and said words that were always music to his ears. "Want to do a fashion show? You can help me pick out my outfit for pre and post show today." They still had several hours before the show and while Blaine and Rachel needed o be there earlier than Kurt and Sebastian, it was still quite a bit of time. Rachel and Blaine wouldn't eat as much since they were going to be singing and dancing but the fare was still somewhat light and wouldn't interfere.

"Sure!" Kurt agreed, looking over Blaine's form already thinking about what would fit his body best and wondering if he could do anything to the wardrobe he'd already seen to make him look even better. Kurt wasn't blind, he knew Blaine was attractive and had a kind personality if not a little ditzy at times and while not maybe the best actor in the world all the time, had a great voice, even if sometimes he used it for the wrong songs and from what he'd seen in the videos Rachel had shown, was a good dancer too. Kurt had grabbed the phone thought and watched with more attention when he saw Sebastian in one of those videos. Sebastian was a phenomenal dancer.

Blaine came back out first humming a melody that Kurt recognized but then Blaine started singing the words, words that were just always out of reach for Kurt. There were so many songs recently that were just blocked from Kurt's memory, this one was particularly frustrating because he knew it was a song that would have been something he'd known in a time period that was pre-memory loss. It was just too connected with that missing time period that he blocked it too.

It was a children's song that everyone knew.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know dear how much I love you.

Blaine made it so upbeat and happy. He skipped all the words that made it sadder and lost all the additional emotion to it.

"Where did you hear that one?" Kurt asked, head cocked to the side and looking at Blaine, knowing there was more to the song than was sung but not letting it slip out of his hands right now.

"It's a song that I've sung a few times." Blaine purposefully let it drop and then gestured to himself, he was now wearing a while button down and the sleeves hung long over his hands. "This one is yours. You made it."

"Are you sure?" Kurt came closer and took a look at it, pulling the ends of the sleeves up to his inspection. "The fit is completely wrong for you and I would never make something for someone that didn't fit perfectly."

"I have a whole closet full of your creations." Blaine announced proudly as Kurt looked over the cuffs. "I like having something of yours on me." It was an awkward compliment but Kurt took it that way, his clothes were not only good looking but felt good too.

"This is certainly part of my line." Kurt admitted slowly, but unsure still why he'd have made this for Blaine like this. "Were we even friends?" He teased Blaine as he tied the sleeves together. It could have been a joke he played on Blaine. The pain he saw cross Blaine's face briefly made him feel badly and he tried to kick the joking tease up another notch, Blaine played along, trying to forget the hurt he felt at Kurt's words. "Maybe you've lost height or something."

They had a bit of a playful banter and Kurt could see them being friends at some point. This was a lot easier hanging out with Blaine than he'd originally feared. It still didn't explain a few things since waking up, but maybe Blaine was unsure how to act now that Kurt lost all memory of him and being in a coma. It was a lot to ask of a person and there were several people that had been mentioned or in his phone that had disappeared from his life over the last year or so because of it. At least Blaine was trying. He couldn't say that about a lot of people.

Blaine looped his arms around Kurt's head and then shoulders, just resting them there without any type of feeling to it that would alarm Kurt. It was friendly in a lot of ways, especially on the back of their playing teases.

"I have to admit something, do with it as you will." Blaine took a deep breath in and then let his words out in a rush, scared to say them, obviously something that had been building up in him and finally being released, perhaps unwise but they were now out there. "I'm in love with you and you're in love with me."

"No we're not." Kurt shook his head, he might not know a lot of things but he knew that.

"It's true, you and I were having a secret relationship before your accident. It was just too hard to see you afterward and know you forgot everything but you don't love Sebastian, you love me and you'll see it too, eventually. You made me clothes, you and I had secret rendevous when you were supposed to be 'out of town' for work and we had songs that we sang to each other in public when we couldn't be together. You were going to leave Sebastian for me."

"No I wasn't and I can tell you why- that's not something I would do. I'm not a cheater."

"You cheated on Adam with Sebastian. You two got together officially less than a week after Adam left to go back to England and that's because you two were biding your time for Adam's visa to run out so you didn't have to admit to it or hurt Adam."

"Adam hasn't said anything." Kurt and Adam had started talking again after he woke up, Sebastian had put them in contact with each other purposefully, that's not something they'd have done if there was anything sketchy about the past. Adam and Sebastian were friends for crying out loud and Adam's husband was friendly with Kurt.

"Yeah, he doesn't know that you cheated on him. He thinks it all ended amicably."

"Why would I cheat on Sebastian?" Kurt decided to focus on that and then realize that Blaine's arms were still around him. He attempted to free himself of the suddenly-less-than-innocent embrace. On his end that's all it had ever been. "I'm in love with him and he's been nothing but good to me."

"There were cracks, you two had problems. He couldn't handle your traveling and resented you for it. You two were dissolving and you came to me for comfort and things grew from there. Sebastian's just been on his best behavior since you woke up, hoping to rekindle what you had but it'll break apart again and you'll see that I'm the better choice, the more stable choice that can understand and accept your ambitions. Sebastian can never understand that, he's been born into a world where everything has been handed to him and he can do no wrong even when he has done a lot wrong, especially by and to you."

"I'll never believe that Sebastian has hurt me."

"Not physically, no, but he's been manipulative and controlling. He seduced you out from under Adam with purpose and skill."

"That's enough Blaine, you have no proof and I don't believe you. We were having fun until now. I don't know if we can ever come back from these lies but for Rachel's sake, we can at least be tolerable to each other once more. Now let's end this before she gets back and gets the wrong idea." He didn't want this to get to Sebastian and hurt him.

Blaine started singing again but it was a different song this time that had Kurt stilling despite himself.

Young Blood always thinks there's tomorrow.

I miss your touch on nights when I'm hollow.

I know you've crossed a bridge I can't follow.

Since the love that you left is all that I get, I want you to know that if I can't be close to you, I'll settle for the ghost of you. I miss you more than life. And if you can't be next to me, your memory is ecstasy.

"Blaine, what is that song?" Kurt asked, breath a little shallow in his lungs, it hit him hard, the song, the words. It seemed to take on new meaning now too, something he still couldn't grasp but he knew it wasn't related to Blaine, he was just the vehicle.

"I sang this song to you not too long ago, before the accident. It was a secret code between us."

"Blaine, this is a song about endings." Originally probably about death but in some contexts about moving on when someone else has already.

"Maybe but it's also about longing to be with someone. It was intentional, you know, make it seem like giving up but also letting you know that when we are together, it's amazing."

"No, you weren't the one to sing it." Kurt suddenly needed to call Sebastian, needed to reach him, call out to him and discuss how terribly they'd fallen apart prior to his accident. He knew that's what this song was about, it reached in and squeezed his heart in a phantom grip, afraid of the past and afraid of the future. He had to fix this, he just didn't know how or have all of the information. He needed Sebastian to come clean.

Kurt struggled harder to get free of Blaine's arms. "Come on Blaine, let me go."

Blaine sighed, resigned to the fact that Kurt had seen through him and his ploy. "I do love you, that part is true, no matter what you might think."

"That's fine, Blaine, we'll deal with that later, but right now I have to make a phone call." He tried to lift Blaine's arms up and over his head or sneak out under one of them but they didn't budge much. "Blaine-."

"I'm trying, they're stuck." Blaine attempted to prove that he was trying to help Kurt, not hinder him, he wasn't trying anything fresh. Somehow his sleeves had gotten stuck around Kurt and Kurt twisted and turned a little to see what the problem was. One of the buttons had gotten stuck to the beltloop on Kurt's pants.

"Oh, ok, easy fix." Kurt reached out and unlodged the offending piece of clothing and while that freed him in that way, the motion of Blaine trying to lift his arms and Kurt turning back to him caused them to tip over and end up on the floor. Kurt on his back with a soft oomph and Blaine on top of him. Kurt grew rigid for an entirely different reason, his breath stilling in his chest. "Get off."

"I'm trying." Blaine was trying, his arms were still behind Kurt though and while it was higher than before, they were between Kurt's body and the floor. He really was trying but Kurt didn't know why he was suddenly unreasonable and in his own words- losing it. Something about this position had him reacting and not knowing the cause. It was an innocent enough position even after everything Blaine had said. He wasn't attempting anything but part of Kurt's brain and body suddenly thought he was.

"Get off, get off, get off!" Kurt started chanting and ranting and pushing at Blaine's chest which only served to make getting his arms up and around Kurt more difficult. "Get off now!"

"I'm trying!" Blaine snapped. "Geez, chill out." Blaine paused in getting off just to make a point, not understanding where this was coming from, it was Blaine, he wasn't doing anything and it wasn't like Kurt could remember why this position might be triggering.

"Get off!" Kurt pushed at him again and Blaine decided, stupidly, to stay put, perhaps do a little impromptu aversion therapy.

"Make me." He was upset too, offended that Kurt would liken him with the likes of that and was no longer thinking rationally either. Whatever either of them were going to say or do next was interrupted by a few events happening at once. "Holy shit-" Blaine started while Kurt distinctly remembered a screech of "Blaine!" followed by a real scream of concern and panic before everything went dark.

Then Kurt woke up here with Sebastian and Rachel sitting by his bed and then crowding around him as they hovered over him and calling for doctors. He reached for Sebastian's hand and smiled reassuringly at Rachel to let her know that he was ok before transferring that look to Sebastian.

He had never seen Sebastian look so harried. "Baby, it's ok, I'm ok, more than ok, better than I've been for awhile." He echoed those same words now that he'd finished his version of the story. The true story probably laid somewhere in between but he would always prefer his version of events. Sebastian wasn't as taken by it but Santana had settled down once more and the blood lust had dimmed but wasn't completely gone. Sebastian felt the same way but he would let Kurt's version sooth him.

"How can you say that?" Sebastian asked instead, stroking the back of Kurt's hand with his fingers. They'd called Burt and Carole too. Sebastian had only learned about what happened when Rachel called him sobbingly but he was already on his way back, done for the day.

She'd said that she asked her driver to hurry because something didn't sit right with her about leaving Kurt with Blaine despite her love for both of them. She had been in the checkout lane when she remembered clearly her discussion about the chocolate with the cashier the last time she was there and knew she'd brought it home. Blaine must have eaten it, whether to intentionally get her to leave or just because he had a sweet-tooth, neither could be 100% certain, maybe a mix of both reasons. He hadn't had an opportunity to have Kurt alone with him otherwise up to that point.

Blaine had admitted to causing the seizure that followed his inappropriate psychology attempt, proving Sebastian's words from years ago completely wrong, he definitely should not take that up if acting no longer suited him.

Rachel had caught the seizure in full and Blaine had somehow gotten loose and they positioned Kurt so he wouldn't hurt himself and called both 911 and Sebastian while they waited the seizure out or for the ambulance to get there, whichever occurred first. Sebastian was almost to the condo when Rachel called to say they were moving to the hospital. He had his driver change directions and met them here.

Kurt was due for more scans now that he was awake and talking. Sebastian couldn't believe how relaxed Kurt was with all of this.

"Because, Seb, Baby, I remember everything now. I'm not going anywhere unless you send me away." Sebastian's hand gripped Kurt's as he looked at him, waiting for the other shoe to drop but Kurt only nodded, confirming his own words. "I'm back."

Sebastian's arms pulled Kurt to his chest and held him tightly to him. They'd figure out what that meant in the long run but for now, Sebastian would take it for the miracle it was, the details would be sorted out later. "And you're feeling ok? No headaches or anything?"

"No, nothing like that, just happiness to have years of memory back. It was so frustrating to have such a large chuck of my life just missing."

Sebastian would never be thankful toward Blaine but he was thankful that the memories were back, that his Kurt would now be back and they didn't have to worry about hurting him in any attempts to remind him of the past, either physically with pushing him or mentally/emotionally because he couldn't remember.

"Blaine's insane." Rachel breathed as if just realizing this for the first time.

"We're all crazy." Kurt countered. "We're all theater kids."

"But you- he- how can you- I can't live with him anymore after this-." Rachel started spiraling a little.

"Do what you want with him, Rach, I'm ok if you continue living together. Like I told him, I can get beyond this as long as he doesn't attempt anything again."

"How can you just overlook this?" Santana finally spoke.

"Because, as I said, his is just a sad story. I've known he's in love with me for over a decade. He's always been really bad at hiding it and expressing it and up until now he's been mainly good at abiding by the ground rules that I've laid down and he hasn't crossed any lines. What he did today was certainly an attempt but he'll fall back into line. We've been really good friends for years and it'll get back to normal eventually. I accept it. We're all he has, Rachel and I. Maybe he needs a kick in the ass to get his own life outside of us but I'll also not be the one who leaves him without a safe place to land."

"Surely he's got other friends?" Brittany questioned in confusion. "He's certainly got connections, he's been in so many plays and keeps getting leading roles."

Rachel and Kurt shared a look between them and Sebastian frowned, wondering... his own history with Blaine surfacing briefly in his mind. He hadn't seen Blaine actually with anyone since then, he'd come back into Blaine's life while he was in hot pursuit of Kurt and an attempt at some of Kurt's friends of questionable sexuality or Elliott...

"He's certainly talented in a few areas that would lead to him getting roles, but leading man-" Sebastian's eyes widened as he answered his own question. "No way, how can he get away with that?"

"He's more the victim than anything else." Rachel defended. "One of the producers got her hooks in Blaine and she's shared her hold over him with a few like-minded individuals. Haven't you ever wondered why he's always associated with a very small sector of theater companies? Others know but since it's technically not illegal with how they're doing it, they can't say anything but they also don't want to be friends with him. He's radioactive everywhere else on Broadway."

"Have you been using him to get roles?" It hadn't escaped Sebastian's notice that they were in quite a few plays together. That wasn't any better and he was quickly losing respect for Rachel all over again. She was not apologetic.

"I get roles outside of him too. I'm pure talent." Just also pretty toxic in a lot of ways too. She would use Blaine to keep her in the public light and hope people would forgive her behavior behind scenes with her performances on stage with another company. So far it was working out for her. "Besides, it works both ways, I've gotten him roles too." She'd been the one to introduce Blaine to that producer, Sebastian suddenly realized.

"You're-" Sebastian got cut off from calling her out on pimping out her roommate and supposed friend when Kurt tugged urgently on his hand. He looked back to Kurt, anger flooding through him again wondering if Kurt would have been the same kind of victim had he persued acting instead of fashion. He was going to turn to Rachel and snarl that accusation at her too but Kurt was shaking his head frantically and pleading with him with his eyes.

Sebastian huffed and dropped it for Kurt's sake. He didn't know everything that had happened or all the behind the scenes events. Rachel had proven to be a fantastic friend to Kurt and he couldn't forget that, even though he wanted to in light of some of the new facts that had been revealed. Ultimately it had been Blaine to choose whether or not he was going to take the offer rather than rely on talent alone.

"You knew?" He settled on asking of Kurt and sat on the side of the bed, looking over his boyfriend's face with new eyes.

"I suspected, I put more distance between me and Blaine when I started thinking it, but I never knew for sure until now. He might have chosen it brazenly but he's ultimately the victim, he couldn't have known how much it would affect his life or how hard it would be to get out of it. Blaine's only ever longed for a love story that would be worthy of being written about. He's found himself in something incredibly seedy instead. I tried to get him out of it, asking about it subtly and working with him on ways to break that situation without losing all potential acting roles in the future, he might have to work his way up again, but he kept denying it and yet I could also see the drain it's had on him. I don't think he would have ever expected this to be his life while growing up, or how he's gotten lead roles on Broadway. His money hadn't done it for him, and had never really had to work for things, just got it handed to him and so he took the easy way to fame and fortune."

"You really do remember everything now, don't you?"

"I do, but I think parts of it were coming through before the seizure."

"Gosh, I can't believe I didn't catch it before. I was watching for every tell and still missed the biggest one, the one where you knew Blaine would mess up our chocolate request because of how he'd messed up drinks in the past. It was said with such assurance in a shared history and joke that I just rolled with it without realizing until now."

"Yeah, it's been more noticeable over the last month or so." Santana added. "Bas was too close to you, had been spending far more time with you tan the rest of us could, but there were definitely moments or comments that would catch us off-guard and make us wonder if you were remembering. We didn't want to get Bas' hopes up though and didn't want to hurt your progress so didn't say anything."

"Rachel had, I just didn't believe her." Sebastian admitted.

Anything else anyone was going to say was interrupted by the doctors coming in. One of the original theories had proven to be true, it was just Kurt's brain needing to make new connections to remember what had happened in his past and now he had new access to it. Further scans helped to explain the seizures, there was a blood clot that had slowly been forming and it was in a spot that couldn't be picked up by their technology but it had moved and caused a new seizure and they were able to see it now. The solution was just to start Kurt on a blood thinner until the clot could be dissolved and told to take it easy since his blood wouldn't clot as well until he was off the medication for about a week. He'd bleed a lot more than normal until things resolved.

Sebastian tried to insist that Kurt stay at least overnight but they told him there weren't enough rooms. Sebastian tried to move Kurt back to the other hospital but Kurt just wanted to go home. He took Sebastian's hand in the car and just looked at him earnestly.

He'd asked the women they'd been with to not follow, he needed to spend some time alone with Sebastian and asked his parents to put off their trip up to New York for a day. They had things to talk about. Sebastian would have been more worried about what Kurt was going to say if he hadn't take to heart Isabelle's words and Kurt's hand hardly leaving his on Kurt's behest.

So he let go of the notion of seeing Kurt in yet another hospital room, had the doctor on speed-dial (and staying in a hotel room minutes away). He didn't want to go to another hospital room either, he just wanted Kurt at home with him, where he usually wanted them to be. Anywhere together, really, but home more than most places.

"Seb, we need to talk." Kurt said once the door was closed behind them. Sebastian took in a deep breath, trying to prepare himself for this conversation but not sure how it would go.

"Yeah, we do. There's a lot to be said."
